PoliticsRe: Nobody Should Rig For Me – Jonathan ! by Lagosboy: 9:58am On Feb 18, 2011
He plans to rig it himself by coercing JEGA to announce some results made in Aso Rock. This was OBJs tactic and did not need to rig at ballot box level. I remember SR showing us the result before election and a similar result was announced by IWU.

Sometimes I wonder about Murtala's assassination. Maybe it was orchestrated from outside Nigeria by those unsettled by this foreign policies. I'm wary of conspiracy theories, but I always wonder maybe there's more to that assassination than we already know.
I personally still hold unto this opinion. This guy and Buhari are Nigerias finest leaders IMO, Murtala shook Africa and the western world in just 6 months of goevernance, GEJ has spent 2 yrs in power and still under tutelage. A leader needs couple of months to give his people the vision of where they are going, he needs couple of months to start action, he doesnt need 4 yrs to plan and another 4 years to implement.

The same Angola ten years ago was as backward as it comes, but compare Angolas 10 years of development to Nigerias 12 years of civilian rule and the difference is clear.

Lets bring back change , lets vote Buhari

SAI Buhari!!!
PoliticsRe: How Obasanjo’s Third Term Agenda Affected Nigeria – Daniel ! by Lagosboy: 9:43am On Feb 18, 2011
I am yoruba but playing politics on a tribal agenda is backwards IMO. What has the tribe of minesters got to do with governance, last time i checked all 36 states have nominees into the cabinet. The prof was not satisfied but whining that no yoruba woman is present.

What did a yoruba woman do when she was INEC REC for Ekiti state !

What kind of a name is that anyway, Ade Dosunmuhuh?? There's no ring of authenticity to it! Sounds like the typical Isale Eko 419/Drug Baron, those are the kinds of names they bear.
Haba! oga we all dont like PDP but linking someone to drug on the basis of name is very low.

Hmmmmm that still hurts to as well. I sat in Stad de France for a complete 30 minutes starring at what could have been , Hurt me so so so bad especially since we held on well @ 10 men, b4 Almunia opned his near side like a clown,

But hey we need to focus @ CampNou, Already dusted my top and scarf, 4 the return leg (1 - 2 ) to us, wink, we need to believe and then we put that into action,

The atmosphere @ The Groove was grand last night, "we rocked the whole stadium" , but Cesc looked a bit emotional 4 me after the game,
I thought it was only me that noticed that, in fact i am worried for the reason. Could it be out of joy? or wishing they beat them 3-1 or could it be him reflecting on going to barca? Only God knows !!

Anyway Gunner for life

I just hope we beat them again at nou Camp to make the world acknowledge the birth of a new team that will dominate world football. The boys have indeed become Men , Wilshere is a testament to that.

What is anyones business regarding another mans wife personal affairs. This is a wife of about 20 years we are talking about and someone wakes up one morning to call the daughter of C. C Onoh a gold digger.

Let us mind our businesses and talk of politics and not judge another mans wife.

PoliticsRe: President Goodluck Jonathan's Approval Rating by Lagosboy: 12:31pm On Feb 16, 2011
GEJ together with his rogue friends like OBJ, Anenih and all the perpetual Kleptomaniacs in power should be booted out this year. Every speech GEJ makes without a paper is a disaster, his phd is a burden to his intellect, he is as clueless as it comes and to make matters worse he is now supported by all the OBJ billionaires pre 2007 that across all the tribes.

The guy talking about tribal issue here must know that ibori is from Ogun state, must know that Alamco is from Ondo state, Igbinedion must be from Oyo state. These 3 govs did practically nothing for their SS states when in power and we claim tribalism is the reason for being against GEJ.

SAI BUHARI!!!
PoliticsRe: Bayelsa Tops Nigeria’s Unemployment Chart by Lagosboy: 4:48pm On Feb 10, 2011
GEJ governed the state for 2 years with nothing to show for it, he has governed Nigeria for going to two years with nothing to show for it, another four years of GEJ will mean retrogession for Nigeria.

Let us all support Buhari who ruled Nigeria for 2 years with something to show for it.

I like you . . . you are polite. which is somthing that cannot be said for most people on NL! undecided

I'll respect your wishes and try to be more objective in my veiws about your religion. But dont expect me to one of your converts sha . . . cheesy
Never say never . . . grin. But seriously i do appreciate the time you took to reply to me and your promise of objectivity. I am a muslim but i try never to castigate a whole faith and I try to explain islam to anyone without putting down the other persons faith. I try to but we are all not perfect .

There is no substitute to knowledge and the more you know about something the better analysis you can make and the better the objectivity as well . Another advice is to look at islam as a faith and not only analyse islam from the actions of muslims. True, our actions should be a reflection of our faith but unfortunately many of us dont act upon the principles of islam.

I sincerely wish you our Lords guidance always! wink

I have no need for that, I'm perfectly happy where I am. I do not feel the 'pull' she described so I think I'll pass on that!

I saw the sermon you gave to her on that thread and I think it's just classic! Unfortunately, I'm not moved.

You are good muslim and I have nothing against you or your religion . . . . I just feel sad that Ify felt the need to do what she did!

But hey, to each his own! undecided
Sister, The objective of me inviting you is not to be moved but rather to understand the concept of islaam which will enable you make fairer assesments in the future. Life is not always black or white and the rule in life is that one needs to understand something in detail in order to make an accurate judgement on that thing.

Feel free to always ask questions about islam so that next time you hear one of your friends have become muslim you would know how to deal with the situation better. Make sure you read the thread till completion whenever you have the time and ask what you dont understand.

I wish you our Lords guidance always wink

Except judgement means a different thing, you have already judged her as the opposite of being right is being in ERROR.

You do not need to laugh as you are not OBJ but rather like Mukina advised take a cold drink and look into islam yourself as it might benefit you.

Honestly, i never insult people and i try not to be angry but your comments honestly digusts me. Can you not respect someones choice to be whatever? You are free to invite her to whatever faith you like but to say "errors in her ways" is plain disgusting. She is a matured woman free to choose what she likes and if you care you could read the thread in which she created about her curiosity before she converted, perhaps you might have a change of heart yourself. She went on about 10 month journey into the knowledge of islaam before she accepted islam.  https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-359506.0.html

I respect whatever belief you believe in but will call you to research into islam , perhaps the grass might be greener for you on the other side. I feel a lot lighter now and my inital anger has vanished  wink , i call you with all due respect to understand islam as a faith before you make a judgement on "errors" . With all humility I invite you to worship your creator without associating any partners to him, I invite you to ask questions about islam to enhance your wealth of knowledge and plead with you to accept my invitation

Have a great day sister !!

I love this man´s intellect and courage to speak the truth anyway and to anybody. These were the same similar words i was speaking on the Biafra thread yesterday about bad people everywhere and corruption knows no tribe or ethnicity.

PoliticsRe: Dangote Should Run For Lagos State Governor In 2015 by Lagosboy: 12:51pm On Feb 09, 2011
I believe every Nigerian should be able to run for any position anywhere in the country, it is up to the people to either vote for him or not. Dangote has the right to run for the position in Lagos but i have the feeling he will place the personal interes of his business above 20 million lagosians interest.

Lagos rather needs a selfless, sincere , intellectual to take it to where it rightly belongs.
