zonax: The delicate nature of this issue has made what you are asking for an impossible thing because, If such pictures should go public, the sponsors of this deadly sect will use such to enhance their fight as it will instigate more hatred for our government and peace in the hearts of their sympathisers and foot soliders. Amnesty International for example can use such evidence to prosecute those in authority when this crusade is over. The picture they released is just to boast the confidence of the general public in the capability of the Nigerian Armed forces and their ability to protect its citizens a reminder that this is a war we can and must win.
While l agree with a lot of what you say but do you consider that 'WAR and PROPAGANDA" go hand-in-hand?

Do you agree that just as BK is using Social media to enhance its own image, the Nigerian Army also needs to "enhance" it own image ot boost morale and support from the public?

Do you know that even World leaders like Obama, Cameron, e.t.c take to Twitter and FBook very quickly, to spread their own "truth/lies" to counter that of the terrorists?

Do you agree that Nigerians being very "untrusting" is as a result of having being LIED TO OVER AN DOVER AGAIN?

Do you agree that having seen 'war situations and real engagements" between opposing forces, those "scanty pictures" shown are not very convincing at all?
Technology has advanced to the point that even a parent does not find it easy to fool their 5year old toddler any more! Gone are those days!

Did you notice that even the pictures of dead bodies shown does not show CONCURRENTLY, our own soldiers, to PROVE that it is actually the N.Army that killed those dead bodies and they actually belong to Boko haram!

When there are Public protest in Lagos (like the last Fuel hike riot), we saw pictures of Soldiers dealing with unarmed Civilians and the pictures were so graphic showing both sides, not this one-sided pikshures displayed here!
See the pics below for what l mean and notice that you dont need any convincing to agree the pictures are "real"!.

These are the reasons it seems Nigerians are taking these with a pinch of salt!

We love our soldiers and we want them to defeat those virgin-seeking terrorists ..... but we also deserve the ABSOLUTE TRUTH and NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH!

IMPORTANT DIGRESSION

EXCLUSIVE: Real Reasons President Jonathan Fired NNPC GMD
September 12, 2014

Andrew Yakubu

The immediate trigger for the sudden sack of erstwhile Group Managing Director, Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Andrew Yakubu, is becoming clearer more than a month after Mr. Yakubu and some other top officials of the state oil company were replaced.
PREMIUM TIMES can authoritatively reveal that Mr. Yakubu, who spent two years in office, had to go after the Minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Alison-Madueke, accused him of insubordination over the appointment of a new Managing Director for the upstream subsidiary of the NNPC, the Nigerian Petroleum Development Company (NPDC).

Mr. Yakubu, who was appointed July 1, 2012, was the fourth GMD of NNPC in the about five-year reign of the minister.
This newspaper learnt that while the former NNPC boss made a case for an engineer with a sound technical background to be appointed for the company responsible for NNPC’s oil exploration and production operations, reliable presidency and industry sources say the minister wanted a lawyer she considered a loyalist.

Despite being a strategic arm of the corporation, the NPDC had remained without a substantive head for almost a year allegedly over the refusal of the NNPC management, led by Mr. Yakubu, to buckle under the Minister’s pressures.
Since coming on board as the GMD NNPC, Mr. Yakubu was said to have consistently resisted the proposal to appoint a non-technical person into the office, a development that constantly put him in the firing line as he crossed swords with Mrs. Alison-Madueke on several occasions.
Sources at the NNPC and the minister’s office, who spoke with PREMIUM TIMES on condition of anonymity for fear of being victimized, revealed that the appointment of the Managing Director for NPDC was one of the issues that always brought Mr. Yakubu in direct confrontation with the Minister.
“The face-off between the Minister and the GMD NNPC has been raging for a long time,” one of our sources said. “The NPDC issue was only one of several. In fact, the former GMD managed to remain in office that long because of the Vice President, Namadi Sambo, who is from the same geo-political zone with him and always stood up to his defence each time the Minister wanted his head.”
However, the last straw that led to the removal of Mr. Yakubu was the issue of appointment of the Managing Director of NPDC, this newspaper understands.
Our sources said the former NNPC GMD stood up to the Minister on the issue, which some NNPC Board members said generated serious tension for days, resulting in the movement of staff and visitors to the management floors of the NNPC Towers being restricted as the issues was deliberated upon.

The 10th and 11th floors of the A wing of the building houses the offices of the Minister and the GMD.
During the meeting, the Minister was said to have asked the former GMD to nominate candidates for the NPDC top job, ostensibly to create the impression that the NNPC was the initiator of the process that would culminate in the final appointment.
But Mr. Yakubu, our sources say, in line with his conviction that only a person with technical background was fit to be in charge of an important subsidiary such as NPDC, was said to have suggested two candidates, who did not include the lawyer the minister wanted.
A heated argument that ensued allegedly resulted in a stalemate, with the Minister accusing the former GMD of “gross insubordination taken too far”.
Coincidentally, a day after the tensed meeting, PREMIUM TIMES had published an exclusive report highlighting the minister’s lethargic management style of “micro-managing the entire petroleum industry as her personal estate using her powerful personal aides to carry out key policies, rather than designated officials”.

The minister, who was said to have used the media report as another confirmation of alleged insubordination by her subordinates, allegedly fingered Mr. Yakubu as the prime suspect and sponsor of the publication.
In anger, the minister was said to have reported Mr. Yakubu to the vice President before going to the President to demand his immediate sack.
A few hours later, Mr. Yakubu was fired and replaced by his kinsman, Joseph Dawha, who until his appointment was the acting GED, Exploration and Production of NNPC.

The President then immediately approved the appointment of Anthony Muoneke as Managing Director of NPDC.
Mr. Muoneke, said to be an oil and gas lawyer, was Mrs. Alison-Madueke favourite candidate opposed by Mr. Yakubu, who insisted that it would be counter productive to appoint a lawyer to run an oil and gas production company.
Prior to his appointment, Mr. Muoneke, who was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1985, was the Executive Director, Finance & Administration, Niger Delta Power Holding Company Limited, NDPHC.

But even before the minister and the sacked NNPC boss clashed over the appointment of a chief executive for the NPDC, the two officials had for long related with each other with suspicion.
To avoid direct dealings with the former NNPC GMD, the sources said the minister resorted to a management style that saw her using her powerful personal assistants and sidelining the top management of the corporation in implementing some top oil industry policy decisions.
For instance, the sources said the Group Executive Directors (GEDs) of some key subsidiaries of the NNPC were encouraged to undermine the NNPC GMD.

They listed some GEDs of NNPC subsidiaries, who routinely bypassed the chain of command to report directly to the Minister first before their parent management to include those in charge of Pipelines and Petroleum Marketing Company (PPMC), and Crude Oil Marketing Department.
Other officials bypassing the GMD include those in charge of refining and petrochemical, which supervises the operations of the country’s four refineries and petrochemical companies as well as heads of the Legal and Corporate Services Department, which is also in charge of the management of NNPC’s Board secretariat.

Although Mr. Yakubu’s face-off with the Minster had been on for a long time, the sources told PREMIUM TIMES that the sacked NNPC GMD became a marked man whose days were numbered early this year when the N10 billion private aircraft contract scandal blew open.
When the scandal broke, our sources said, the minister and her aides allegedly blamed it on the former NNPC GMD whom they suspected was behind the leakage of information to members of the House of Representatives.
In an attempt to halt the alleged leakage of contract details, the minister was said to have directed the then Secretary to the NNPC Board and Legal Adviser, Anthony Madichie, to take action to protect the confidentiality of the corporation’s official records and block leakers from gaining access.
When Mr. Madichie couldn’t deliver, the Minister reportedly recommended his immediate removal from office. He was replaced by Ikechukwu Oguine as Coordinator, Legal Services and Company Secretary of the corporation.
The Presidency did not offer any reason for Mr. Madichie’s removal in April, the second time members of the NNPC top management would be removed in a space of two months since March 2014, when the President appointed new GEDs.
Industry experts however alleged that the constant changes were part of a grand design by the administration to enable card-carrying politicians, rather than professionals, take over the NNPC Board as well as the corporation’s subsidiaries.

The minister and her aides declined to comment for this story.
Repeated calls to the minister’s known telephone line failed to connect.
Several calls to her Senior Special Assistant, Kevin Alonzo, were not responded to last week.
When similar calls were made to the Group General Manager Group Public Affairs of NNPC, Ohi Alegbe, he requested the reporter to send a text message.
He however did not reply the text message, as well as emails sent to him.

The below is the response of a "legal acquaintance":

legal acquaintance: Yes indeed, property transfers necessitated the marriage contract, as the wife's assets became her husbands (she was a chattel i.e a piece of his property like cows or furniture until various Married Women's Property Acts were introduced) and a contract was needed to solidify these transfers in law-goes all the way back to Magna Carta etc and "marriage" contracts of various forms is a universal concept in almost all societies.
And, I have stated, marriage is just but another form of contract like buying a house or tendering for a service and, as such, has its own legal principles - when you sign the register thats the contract in all its glory, and I don't think anyone, especially MEN, realises that what they are signing is comparable to a bog standard contract to purchase property.

Not very romantic, but I've had to explain this concept to more than one friend over the years. IMO if more of us spent more time reading the small print of this contract and less time worrying that the colour of the menus match the bridesmaids' dresses, there would probably be fewer cases ending up in the family law courts behind closed doors as people would be aware of what they are signing up for!!!

It is for a reason, a very good reason that they are referred to as LOWER ANIMALS now!

Due to the 'simplistic lifestyle" of these lower animals, they can afford to have a single mate for life but same cannot be said of humans.

Just give these "lower animals" the opportunity to use Mobile Phones, Facebook and other social networks, expose them to "money", bling-bling like assorted SUVs, Viagra, Homosexuality/Lesbianism, adult toys, e.t.c and you will see that they are not exceptional as we tend to think.

But Monogamy is good and that is why the Western Govts tried to impose it as a family system, due to the "deadly fights" that go on in families, after the death of the "patriarch father" in those days...

But surprisingly, Monogamy has not stopped "cheating, serial "divorce and remarry", homosexuality and gender-related violence, even amongst the Western Monogamist .... SO whats the "Biggie and Noise" about? huh huh shocked shocked

When a Coach spends most of his time on Twitter, criticizing and inciting the whole nation against one of his best players, then you know that the Coach has NOTHING MORE to offer.

Keshi is a fluke!
He is so arrogant after winning the Nations Cup (most of the imput was due to sheer resilience on the part of the players!

What did Keshi achieve with Togo or other non-star-studded teams he has Coached before? NOTHING!

Why did S/Africa realize that he is not worth their Rand?

Why did he resign and then orchestrate a "dem dey beg me" campaign like a Politician, just so that he can retain the job?

But let me add that Keshi is just a big part of the rot in our Football. THE NFF is a criminal MAFIA with Keshi a big part of it.

FIFA and its President Sepp Blatter too has become a criminal gang such that it relies on the National Association to "maintain the status quo" thus, even when criminal and corrupt acts are carried out by National association and proven, the Countries authorities are afraid to discipline these criminals for fear of "Blackmail and Sanctions" by FIFA!

The whole football system is rotten from FIFA down to NFF and Keshi.

But for now, we should find a suitable replacement for Keshi, set target for such Coach and may the tools he needs to do the job, AvAILABLE to him.

A situation where the NFF lodges players bonus/allowances into personal account or refuse to release the salary of a head Coach is unacceptable.
WHY CANT WE SACK SUCH HEAD OF FOOTBALL HOUSE? FIFA, THIS IS WHAT YOU ARE CAUSING.

coogar: stop embarrassing yourself on a public forum. how is pastor anita different from the millions of women that have taken what they are fully-entitled to take? you make it sound like she would be breaking the law if she does - it's her rights to take.

UK law recognises she must have been used to a particular lifestyle & her divorce should not rob her of that lifestyle....she would get handsomely rewarded whether she wants it or not especially when children are involved.

the lawyers will charge according to the size of whom the divorce petition is against. a cursory glance on the internet would tell any lawyer who pastor chris is - she would be lucky to pay less than £2,000 per hour to any law practitioner representing her. it's going to be a complex case as there are too many things involved.

which law firm does not want money? even if she insists she doesn't want it, can she speak for the children? you need to brush up on family law before misinforming the public. it's the court that would protect the children, not pastor anita's sentiments & emotions.
adebisicutie: You have no point, no court or lawyers can make a woman take a bigger settlement than what she requests for. It's not all lawyers that get paid based on the divorce settlement , if she doesn't want a settlement or wants less than 50% all she has to do is hire lawyers whom charge per hour and within what she can afford on her own. She would have no need to employ the expensive lawyers if she's not fighting to get his money. There are many reasons apart from money why a woman like her would choose to file in the UK rather than Nigeria and one if those is the fact that if it's in Nigeria everything will be exposed and the woman may not want that. Do some research and you'll see that there have been cases where the woman didn't request for any money and instead chose for each party to go with their own money. As long as both parties agree to the terms the court will agree. Are you trying to tell us that a Court can force someone to take money she dosent want undecided you're the one acting ignorant.

Child support is a separate issue from her collecting 50%, a woman can choose to ask for only child support and not collect anything for herself or collect a lower percentage if she wishes. Abeg stop acting like the rest of us haven't lived in the UK.
Let me summarise some FACTS here:

1.) Petitioner to a Divorce is at Liberty to retain the services of ANY LAWYER ..... on any cost-basis (payment per hourly, per sitting, per case , e.t.c ...even in exchange for se*x wink as some defense Lawyers have been known to start a "clandestine relationship" with their client) shocked ................or not to use a Lawyer at all.

2.) if very poor and the Petitioner still needs a Lawyer
, s/he can request for a "Government lawyer" (Legal Aid), it is free!

3.) The Divorce proceedings "may" not take Child Maintenance, Access and Custody into consideration, as those issues may be treated separately though most courts take it together for "final settlement" as it is "tidy" that way

4.) A Court has the jurisdiction to "AWARD" ANY AMOUNT TO THE WIFE! Yes, it is at the mercy of the presiding judge!
The Respondent may "Appeal" such award, to higher Courts for "review" (still has to pay until it is varied by higher court) but at the end of the day, The Judge at the highest Court would still determine the final amounts. This is where common-sense on the part of some Judges, fail them. For example, if the man earns 500GBP weekly, is it reasonable to ask him to be paying the ex-wife say 400GBP for Maintenance and Child Support? In America, l know they adhere to a particular "percentage" of the man's income (like 40%) to be paid out but may we ask: Does the man not have to pay his own expenses (housing -since the woman would have used the kids as an "anchor" to hold on to the family home-, food, clothing, socials, transport to work, e.t.c ) from such income?

5.) Some Judges, especially when it involves "Black folks", are known to impose "punitive payments" on the ex-husband as a precursor to sending him to prison for failure to pay when in actual fact, it is not a question of "failure to pay" but an "INABILITY TO PAY" the excessive award.
(Studies will show that "Very high Divorce rate amongst black families (in Western nations only) follow a pattern not unconnected with this "reward for divorce" strategy but that is a discussion for another day).
Such Judges dont give a damn about 'laid down rules' thus, getting a good Lawyer may come into play here.
A Judge is like a TIN-Gowd in his/her Court!

6.) It is not a case of the Court "forcing someone to take money", it is a case of the "maintenance debtor" going to jail if he (husband in 99% of cases) does not pay! . At times, payment is directed to the bank "account" of the court! grin for transfer to the beneficiary! shocked shocked

If the woman does NOT WANT THE MONEY, she is at Liberty to make "private arrangements" to transfer the money back to the husband, from her own account!
I've never seen that one happen sha, who no like "awoof"? As far as the "law' is concerned, she has been paid!
Moreover, women see such payment as a punishment for the husband who may have to struggle all his life, to pay such money just to avoid jail. Some of the men are known to be unable to settle down again, due to such financial burden, suicide and in extreme cases, "familycide" have been known to result from such desperation grin grin grin

7.) As for "parties agreeing to terms", YES both parties can agree to terms BUT these agreement MUST have two elements

a.) The agreement must not be repugnant to "court rules" (trying to break it down here) as in must not be against Family Court rules (exp: we both agree that l relinquish the right to see my children forever! ) shocked
b.) Such "agreements" still has to be taken to Court and made "An Order of court" by a Judge ...before the Divorce proceeding is determined by a Judge. After the Judge makes his Order, it superceeds any future "private agreement" except a higher court nullifies the earlier court Order.

Let us also remember that if the woman says "I am collecting nothing for MYSELF, l am only collecting Child Support for the kids",....
Question is: WHO gets that Child Support and who decides "How, When and What" it is spent on?
The woman ofcourse, so indirectly, she gets the money for herself, just a convenient "re-arrangement" of "title of the payment"!
wink grin

8.) I also think (my own opinion now) that "No One should expect to maintain their previous "particular lifestyle" after a Divorce unless they can pay for it".
The husband as l know, who has to pay close to half of what he earns to his ex-wife definitely CANNOT live the same lifestyle as he used to do when he was married and owning his income, WHY THEN SHOULD THE WOMAN BE EXPECTED TO CONTINUE TO LIVE SUCH "PARTICULAR LIFESTYLE", AFTER DIVORCE, FROM SOMEONE'S ELSE SWEAT? .... Well, that is the "burden of marriage to a Woman" and l see the landscape "changing" rapidly as men get wiser to these "booby-traps" of marriage. Is the man not also entitled to claim that he wants to continue to live that "particular lifestyle" he was used to, before break-up?

Though l detest the "act" of homosexuality (no apologies, that is my opinion) but something tells me that it could be an unintended answer to the problem as "two men" (or two women) marry themselves and adopt children (the key issue) such that none of the two can lay claim to being the wife or husband ... just a union of two adults and none of the two can go to court to claim alimony or automatic right to hodl the children or family properties ...as "women" often do right now!

Just my thoughts on the problem! grin grin

Eruditor: She wants to be taken care of? grin

I wish I can tell you about monies that she has given to help many women and children around the world. You would faint I tell you.
When a woman files for DIVORCE, there are two things going-on in her mind/head

1.) Minor: To be well taken-care-of, financially. Even when the woman knows the man is jobless, she will still want money from him.

2.) MAJOR: VENGEANCE!. It is not for jokes that they say "Hell has no fury like a woman scorned"!. Women filing for divorce are "a woman scorned".

Once a woman gets into that "vengeance mode", nothing else matters.
She is out solely to get a pound of flesh, destroy the man is her main target!

She might be rich and the man might be unemployed, homeless and worth nothing but she will still go to court (in a place like America and UK) to complain that the man is not taking care of her and the children!

Ofcourse, a man must take care of his children (and spouse) after separation of the couple but because women know that Divorce is "slanted" in favor of women in these countries, despite having taken over the family home (purchased by the man), taken over all his house-hold possessions (Safety or Barring orders ensure that he cant move a single item out of the house, he must leave (with Police assistance) with just his pants on!), having probably lost his job in the aftermath because the ejection from his home and deprivation from seeing his children (maybe initial as the court can later rule on "access" to them) has affected his performance at work, the "scorned woman" is still intent on VENGEANCE because she just wants to destroy him.

Some women know that though the man is jobless, the silly courts will still order him to pay a certain amount that some "White Judges" know he cant afford, only to send the man to jail! Many a decent men have become "ex-convicts" just on this issue alone.

These "White Judges" have come to the realization that to "legally" destroy the "black race", you need just assist their "scorned and angry wife" to destroy their estranged husband ..... and other things will follow!
It is a clever way to "perpetuate racism" without been seen as racist afterall, "his wife asked for it!" shocked shocked

Jailing their estranged husband is the "ultimate Vengeance" of most women who seek divorce.

But l dont blame the women, l blame the "society" and "the men" who lined-up to support this sexism and "demonization" of men, when a marriage breaks up.
I have even read one of the posters on this thread saying "being a man, Pastor Chris is RESPONSIBLE for the break-up of his marriage... just because he is a man! What puerile nonsense is that?

Its not about whether the woman has the financial means to take care of herself and the children she "holds-onto" (this is another ply women use, for example, if she does not want to see the man, she gets a barring other but CLEVERLY INCLUDES THE CHILDREN AS "DEPENDANTS"! Who the hell says the children agrees with her about how she feels about their father and dont want to see him as well?
Behind the scene, she then goes on to lie and poison the mind of the kids that "their father has abandoned them"!. Not saying that she was actually the one who orchestrated his inability to see them. That is what VENGEANCE is all about.

I hope women, black women especially, would realize this before/as they continue to wreck their generations!
I dont think it is "smart" to cut-off your nose, ... just to spite your face! grin grin

But then, "Hate and Vengeance" are not logical emotions!

abysirius: You need an encounter with Christ. We don't go to church to see d pastor or any other man for that matter. We go to the house of God to see Jesus. Looking unto HIm the author and finisher of our faith.
@the bolded:

WRONG BROTHER! YOU DONT GO TO CHURCH TO SEE JESUS! shocked shocked shocked

1.) "Church" is a "building", just like the house you live in or the Beer-Parlour on the street!
What makes/differentiates iany building as "a church" is that it is dedicated to the purpose of "worship" at that point in time.

2.) Jesus is a SPIRIT (Like God) and He does NOT LIVE inside that building called "church".
In some places, the same building is used as an alcohol/Beeer drinking fun-house at night and a "Church" the following morning! That should tell you something. wink "Church" SI NOT the HOUSE OF God! God/Jesus does not live in a "house".

3.)Being a "spirit", Jesus/God is EVERYWHERE..... and you "approach Him" in prayer and He can HEAR U ANYWHERE! Even in your own toilet! (Where two or three are gathered (thereby forming a church), I am there!

4.) We go to Church to "meet other Christians" so that we can share and encourage one another"
The Bible said: "Do not forsake the "Gathering of Brethren" (Church)!

So, ANYWHERE where "brethrens gather" is qualified to be called "a church" ..... and the purpose is to meet, share and encourage one another!

5.) Jesus being a spirit, is EVERYWHERE and most Especially, LIVES IN OUR INDIVIDUAL HEART.
IT IS THE GOD IN US, EVERYONE OF US!

In your house, on the Bus, at School, at work, everytime you focus on God and do good deeds, you are already meeting and having a relationship with Jesus.

BTW: I encourage going to church to "meet, share and encourage" brethrens but please, (using Don Jazzy's voice), "dont get it mixed-up"

It is such "mix-ups" that some Pastors capitalize on, to fleece unsuspecting Brethrens and also introduce "idolatory" in form of "BUILDING WORSHIP", into Christianity!. wink wink

Hope this helps someone.

also please note that i am not defending anybody and i am as neutral as possible on this matter.

HOSEA 1:2
When the Lord began to speak by Hosea, the Lord said to Hosea:

“Go, take yourself a wife of harlotry
And children of harlotry,
For the land has committed great harlotry
By departing from the Lord.”

Hosea was a prophet of God, and God instructed him to marry a prostitute. The exposition on this is a topic for another day though, but nontheless, this was recorded in the bible.
Now in the days of hosea, many so called "pious " and religious folks who were of the same faith as Hosea will go around sniggering about (just like some self righteous christian folk are doing now -)how the man of God have to go and marry a prostitute and all what not.
Many will judge him and outrightly condemn him...but alas! how foolish they were! and how condemned they ended up! for they condemned themselves with their own mouth when they condemned the man of God and pronounced judgement on themselves when they dared to judge the prophet..
Sir, l am sorry to say, YOU HAVE COMPLETELY MISUNDERSTOOD AND MISINTERPRETED THIS BIBLE PASSAGE! shocked shocked shocked

You have taken the passage OUT OF CONTEXT!
Your interpretation completely at variance with what God was saying to Hosea.

The mistake we all make when we read the Bible is that we read it like a Novel or Textbook, forgetting that the Bible is "one complete book" with a "theme and goal".

Now, for the whole of the book of Hosea, God was addressing, metaphorically, through Prophet Hosea, what HE is observing and what he will do to Israel in due course.
Israel is the "prostitute woman", figuratively, married to Hosea (God)
.

Just "input" that into what you are reading as your read this Book of Hosea and the whole purpose will become glaring.

Again, you need to read more than a chapter or verse to get the "big picture", when God is speaking figuratively, as He does in most cases in the Bible.
Chapter One talks about Israel and the children of Israel (Hosea's wife and her Children)
Chapter Two talks about how "She is punished and restored"
Chapter Three speaks about Hosea's reconciliation with his wife (God's reconciliation with Israel)

Note that in Chapter One, God gave "specific names" to Hosea to name his children
(Jezreel - I will put an end to the kingdom of Israel;
Lo-Ruhamah - I will no longer show love to the house of Israel.....
Lo-Ammi - For you (Israelites) are not my people and l am not your God..

These are the "context" of the whole Book Of Hosea.
I enjoin you to read the whole Book in this "context" and tell me if you think l got it wrong.

Cheers;

LaRoyalHighness: After reading this.... 'I am now sorry for all pastors' wfe..(una no dey bible for real ooo) Peter's wife, Paul's wife, Oyaks wife etc.
Really, ..and l speak from decades of experience, Pastor's wife should NOT be called a "Pastor" ... except she is "called" to her own "different' Ministry!

Thing is, ...like all women, Wives of Pastors too, sabi "better thing"! grin

Since the late 80's, (compared with previous experiences), Women now flock to marry Pastors! WHY?
Back in the days, most Pastors cant even find a wife because their "profession" (or calling) is such that they are NOT rich, they are "nomadic/migratory" like birds, they are "sacrificing" even to the detriment of themselves and they are "spartan" in lifestyle!

Those are NOT qualities most women admire in a potential husband!grin grin

But since the "advent of these GOSPEL OF MONEY AND LUCRE", women being "smart" as they are, have identified Pastors as a veritable source of MONEY, INFLUENCE AND POWER.... and the result is what we are seeing an example of, in this Pastor Chris saga!

The women marry the Pastor principally because of MONEY, POWER AND INFLUENCE!
*The end-up being called "Mummy X" by those old enough to be their own Mother!
*They are exposed to Riches beyond their dreams!
*In most cases, they are made C.E.O and Patrons of some of the Church "business"! (Read: London Parish! grin ).
*They exercise so much power and authority over families, from being an "obscure person" to a cult-figure!
*And now that "Church" has become a family business, they can pass it on to their offspring!

Now she is crying "WOLF"!
shocked shocked

So, to "CEMENT IT PROPERLY", the wives of Pastors "SIMPLY CALL THEMSELVES"! kiss kiss kiss .... And because their "thieving-Pastor-husband is part of this FRAUD, they simply PLAY ALONG! wink wink

This is what pastor Chris is telling us in this sermon!
He says: I am the one called by God.... it does not mean Anita my wife was also called; She just usurped the position! shocked shocked

Pastor Chris is just stating the OBVIOUS TRUTH that we all know already. Nothing new.

But there are more important question that should (or should not) bother us.
1.) Did he truly abandon his wife and kids for 15years past?
Now, if you marry a Policeman, you knew he would be on duty on Christmas day or Independence day. Ditto, if you marry a Doctor, you knew he would spend endless nights "on call duty". You knew this and you still married them because you knew there are "rewards and benefits" attached to marrying people like that.

REWARDS/BENEFITS = DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

So, if you married an INTERNATIONAL PASTOR, you'd expect that he would be ON TOUR, most of the time.

*Is this what Pastor Chris is referring to as "Abandonment" for 15years?
Or is she saying that they were SEPARATED (as a prelude to divorce) for the past 15years?

*Come to think of it, if your husband is based in Lagos, why do you DECIDE to Pastor a Church in London? (albeit a branch of same church)
*Did he FORCE HER to remain in London or was it her choice?

I think a "good wife" would say "Wherever you go, l go! Your people, are my people and together we will live together"; right?

Again, if they have been "DE FACTO SEPARATED for the past 15years as she claimed, WHAT HAS CHANGED NOW, THAT REQUIRES A COURT DIVORCE TO SETTLE?
*Is she just thinking its time to "cut-out" her share of the common wealth?
*Is this about Money and Power?
*How did she survive 15years in London without her husband yet we see her picture "holding hands lovingly" with Pastor Chris, on their pamphlets and Church adverts? Were they "together" deceiving the whole world, all this while? angry angry

I read that "Pastor"Anita says her husband ridicules her (or does not elevate her properly) within the Church circles:
I think for a "Woman of God", this is a very vain thing to say. You humble yourself and wait on God to elevate you!
Or is she trying to "outshine" the one that was actually called?
*Is this a Power struggle between her and Pastor Chris?

Another important surprise to me is WHY DID SHE CHOSE LONDON TO APPLY FOR THIS DIVORCE?
*Were they married in London?
*Does this have to do with the "Oyinbo Mentality" of denigrating husbands" once the issue of divorce arises?

*Does this have to do with "greed" since the "Western Courts" are known to pauperise the man, in the event of a divorce?

*What exactly does she intend to gain from this Court divorce?
*Is she planning to re-marry again or she just wants to "rid her name and memory" of anything that has to do with Pastor Chris (if thats the case, she must hate him a lot!)
If she is not planning on re-marrying (which is her right by the way), why 'rock the boat' and destroy their carefully crafted and cultivated "public image"?

*Is she already in a romantic relationship with another man and still being "legally married" to Chris constitutes an "obstacle" to taking it to the next level (women with absentee husbands are notorious for such behavior anyway)

*If it is true that she did actually donate a million Dollars in a "charity event" then we can conclude that its not as if Pastor Chris is not taking good care of her and the children, financially (He has more than enough to do that anyway, Tithes and Offerings don suffer!)

*Since she never used the word "adultery" in the divorce summons (probably for lack of "hard-copy" PROOF like a document or video), is she saying that they have not been having 'ShEX' in the last few years and if that is so, did the Bible not admonish spouses not to deprive each other of such needs?
*And if that is the case, does she not expect that "He would be getting it from somewhere" as "body no-be firewood"? And l guess she too have needs in that area and would prolly have found a "way-out" as well. wink

There is so much for Pastor Chris to "address" instead of telling his members to "become Zombies" and just pray! grin grin

I dont give a two-fingers about both of them, l see the whole issue as "business-gone-bad".

It is the "Zombie followers" that l really pity.
Like most Church-goers, they are not even ready to OBEY the Bible that admonishes us to "EXAMINE all spirits and teachings and hold-on to that which is TRUE".

Questioning ANYTHING your Pastor tells you is your "Christianly DUTY"!
It does not make you an unbeliever, infact, it makes you a discerning Christian, one that is not moved or swayed by all manner of "blowing currents" of false-teachings!

I salute o! grin grin

CityNG: I know yah all are butt hurt because we didn't give you ZMapp which hasn't gone through human testing (Nigeria wouldn't know anything about due process obviously) and besides it's in short supply.

Stop blaming us for every ill in your society.

Stop picking on the US and start being appreciative. We are not your colonial leaders, the UK is. Go hump their legs, if you're titilated for attention

Is there anyone else that wants to take pot shots at the US?

I'll be your huckleberry today
------------------------------------

1) Help by perhaps educating there ministry of health counterparts on what steps Nigeria took to curb this epidemic. They don't even have to travel and can do this via teleconferencing.

2) Ebola has no know cure at the moment (this bears repeating but I won't and will assume you can follow along). Not all that survived has drug administered some just had care and liquids.

3) ZMap worked on those that were carted to the US, it did not work on some that went elsewhere. ZMap ha snot been tested on humans nor certified to be used. This is not about ZMap, this is about Nigeria sharing what she learnt with her sisters countries (I think you know that).

4) Yes, if that is what she wants to do. It's 2014, Husbands shouldn't be dictating to their Wives what to do with her professional life. I know I and those in my circle do not tell our Wives what to do professionally.

5) This is actually bigger than a regular war. In war you can spot your enemy and send a round downrange to terminate him with extreme prejudice.
Look, stop these nonsense right now, Mr. wannabe-American.
You are not the first nor the last to hold American citizenship.
we dont/wont all need to carry "placard" of our dual citizenship, okay.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

That was a digression anyway. Now to the issue:

"HELP" by its very definition is VOLUNTARY!

*Again, like someone pointed out, A Blind man does not lead another blind man, else they both fall into a pit!

*As far as Ebola is concerned, Nigeria is still struggling and trying to grapple with her own challenges.

*Zmapp or not, a country of 180-Million-people still counting, cannot afford to allow Ebola get on the loose.

*America has an "experimental CURE" (at least it has cured more than one person) in Zmapp, Nigeria does not.

*What Nigeria thought it has, rightly or wrongly, was roundly condemn by the Americans and referred to as Pesticide..... yet they refused to "share/help" us with the Zmapp they got?

*If Zmapp was good enough for an American, for a Liberian, for a Spanish, WHY IS IT NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR AN INFECTED NIGERIAN? Well, America "knows best"! wink

*That Nigeria, albeit UNEXPECTEDLY and against ALL ODDS, seems to be surviving the scourge, which coincidentally was introduced into Nigeria by a "determined Patrick Sawyer" (an American-Liberian!) is not because of some "magic wand or a secret formula/drug" .... it is because we are fully aware of the consequence of inaction bearing in mind that we have received the "first signal" that we are expendable, by almighty America!

That Doctor Aidadevo who RANSOMED HER LIFE FOR ALL OF US , by physically restraining that "American Angel of Death" called Patrick Sawyer from running riot amongst our populace (from Lagos to Calabar and God knows where next!) was even denied the opportunity afforded Americans, Spanish and Liberians/Serria Leaonians, to "compete for life" ..... was enough to galvanize us into action.

So, what does the Americans want us to "do/teach Liberians" that America itself cannot do/teach them?

-That they should stop relying on America for help, in times of dare need?
-That heavens help only those who are prepared to help themselves?
-Or should we just ship our health personnels down there so that when they contract the Virus a second time, America can tell us "its not my problem"?

Well, if "Nigerians" were not their problem then (and That wonderful Doctor Aidadevo and a few Nigerians paid with their life) ...Why should "we" be their problem now?

Mind you, America does not owe us anything.
At the same time, we dont owe then anything and they can shove their "advice/suggestion where the sun does not shine!
It is bordering on not very polite insult to be "instructing us" now, that it seems things did not turn out for us as they expected.

Just imagine if this Virus has gone viral within our closely-packed population?
Will they not be laughing at us and holding us to ransom right now?

While l dont like impinging religion into any discuss, l cannot refrain from thinking God has a hand in "shaming the devil", on this one! tongue tongue tongue

Its not yet Uhuru, we are not yet out of the woods yet.
I want to believe that there are still "domant Ebola infection" within the population hence l want all Nigerians to remain Vigilant, be aware and take extreme precautions.
It does not work if "some take heed" and "others dont"!
Those that "dont' will simply re-introduce it and infect others ... and it can spread very easily.

Nigerians should also "watch-out" for SABOTEURS!
If we go by the "history and antecedents" of some "world powers without a shred of conscience", .... an attempt to DELIBERATELY RE-INFECT NIGERIANS WILL NOT BE FAR-FETCHED!

SHINE YOUR EYES!

BTW: Within the current context of "EBOLA INFECTION", a husband/wife (any of the spouse and even children of the family) are well WITHIN THEIR RIGHTS TO TELL THEIR FAMILY MEMBER (Read: Husband, Wife, Kids) NOT TO BRING AN INCURABLE DISEASE INTO THE FAMILY!

It is called "COLLECTIVE" SECURITY AND "COLLECTIVE" RESPONSIBILITY -- You look after ME, l look after YOU

When one of them gets infected, spreading it to other family members is ALMOST GIVEN!
That is how most people in Liberia (including Patrick Sawyer who picked it up from his infected sister, who later died of the Virus infection) get infected - by "close-association transmission"!
