chibecanglobal:Choi! You are wicked Bro! That reminds me of how l felt when l was passing an area in down-town Lagos and one young man was doing "Graduation with COMPLETE Academic Gown to boot"! Well, he "studied" TAILORING at the wood Kiosk next to his house! ![]() So much for "Gown" as proof of being a University Graduate! ![]() Lastpage! |
Franzeez:Point of correction please: * Education is not just about speaking flawless English! You are either educated or NOT! *And being Rich has NOTHING to do with being Educated! *Any Fool (not all Fools) ...can run into money, fall on business 'opportunity' or even have innate financial skills *Half education (semi-illiterate) its said, is even more dangerous than being a stark illiterate. Obama is a University Professor,.... looooong before he became President of America! He is educated, comfortably rich and occupies the highest political post in the world! Even Bill Gates will tremble (or not allowed entry at all) .. in some places where Obama is accorded Red Carpet! ![]() Education DEFINITELY has its own "place and very big value" in the "development and upliftment" of the human psyche! I know that "the fly will ALWAYS side with the man infested with sore" (Ta'lesinsin maa gbe, bi ko se'legboo ) ![]() Trust me, you can always tell the difference between "an illiterate" and "an educated person" when you look at the "finer details and inter-personal relationships"! Lastpage! BTW: When we sight people like Bill Gates, Zuckerberg, Prof Awojobi, Steve Jobs, e.t.c that are "drop-outs" who became rich, do you not know that there are BILLIONS OF DROP OUTS LIKE THEM WHO NEVER MADE A PENNY! ![]() How then do you use a "statistical" 0.00000000001% success rate to justify a population of failures? |
aminu150:Actually, she operates a "Pepper Soup Joint" in Apapa area of Lagos! Ask anyone who knows her before Hubby was nominated to be the Deputy "Stooge" Governor in Bayelsa. ![]() Her level of Pidgin English is a just a further confirmation that she did not even finish primary school. All these Pee.Rrr just before election sef! ![]() Lastpage! |

I guess this is the difference between living within an environment of "acute poverty" (as you can read from the post of most people here) and living in an environment where such amount is not considered "extreme"! The truth is: As an Ebola Nurse/Volunteer, you are putting your life (and what you stand for in your family on the line) and the American Govt knows this and is READY TO REMUNERATE YOU ADEQUATELY FOR IT. The more the danger involved, the more the pay. That is how it should work! Contrast that to the Nigerian Govt where Money allocated for Ebola Management is cornered by the Minister to "BUY VEHICLES" like that is the biggest problem we have in an Ebola Epidemic (the "tribal bigots" can hammer me over this since "it is our brother that is involved" ),Even those that showed up to Volunteer at the IDH Yaba where denied registration (as one article l read showed) just so that one "Oga at the Top" can chop the money meant to pay volunteers! Dont blame her for not coming down here to volunteer, none of you, if you had the option, will pass-over $200/hour to come to volunteer in Nigeria where even money meant to procure Protective Equipment (PPE) is EMBEZZLED by public servants after-all, as our President said: LOOTING IS NOT STEALING! Go figure! Lastpage! |
ARKdiscloser7: They should hold Buhari, Lie Mohammed and all the evil APC responsible for this particular act. They are not happy with the peace deal because they think GEJ will gain more supporters by being able to stop Boko Haran. Pls recall that immediately the news of cease - fire started filtering in Lie Lie Mohammed came out to say that GEJ want to release the adopted girls to score a political point. zizoo36:Unfortunately, BOTH OF YOU ARE JUST PAWNS IN THE POLITICAL ARENA! ![]() WHTF! Dont you see that PDP and APC are just TWO SIDES OF THE SAME COIN? *GEJ is clueless and inept. We dont need further evidence to show that. Leading the most populous black country in the world is too much, for his small mind and low I.Q. He is so corrupt he REFUSED (up till now) to declare his assets (Even Yar Ardua did so) and this looting Billions of Dollars is "stealing" which to him, is not a crime! Just imagine? GEJ's Govt will go down in history as the most corrupt of Nigerian Govts since looting is now in the "Billions"!But then, when it comes to "corruption", "historical record" is quickly overtaken and re-written in Nigeria. BUHARI, l fear (by his antecedents and history), will turn this country into a "Sharia Country"! He is too religiously bigoted! If you are Muslim, you may not mind that but dont forget Nigeria is a secular country with other religions that require FREEDOM to operate! Up till now, even if he has to preten, he has not shown any inclination or sign that he intneds to lead a secular Govt, if elected! That now is scary, if you are not a Northern Muslim. Even "Southern Muslims" still understand and respect the secularity of this country, hence the Peace in the South of Nigeria, with other religions; but then, they are referred to as "Kaferi", by their Northern "fanatical Muslims" of which Buhari is a die-in-the wool product. I say ANYONE who wants to rule Nigeria must devoid his head and mind of RELIGION. Serving God, Respecting/Loving Humans is NOT the same as being a Religious fanatic! Buhari might be better than GEJ when it comes to tackling corruption, "General/Native intelligence" and "leadership" but please, we cant replace one evil with another, all in the name of CHANGE! Why must Nigerians have to chose between the DEVIL and SATAN? Whether is half-a-dozen or Six, its the same thing.... just with a different name! Dont let anyone use "party affiliation" to confuse you. What we need now is a God fearing, intelligent, brave and committed Nigerian, to lead this nation and its people out of the mess we are now. I dont care if the person is a Muslim, Christian of Pagan, I dont care from which party (better to not even be associated with any of these two parties) he or she comes from, he has to be ready to lay down his life for this country (not like the "OBJ fake rhetoric" he made some years back! ), he has to be committed to change this country, he has to be ready to make selfless but painful decision (not like the fuel subsidy SCAM that GEJ is doing! He needs to be young/middle age (not the current, recycled Old generation that have been milking this country since independence!) but must be ready to listen to wisdom from the few "wise-men" that may still abound. He has to come in the mould of J.J Rawlings; selfless, committed, brave and angry! I dont see such qualities in either Buhari or GEJ..... Both are just desperate, failed politicians who are only in the race for their Ego (buhari) or Pocket (GEJ). And the citizens of this country are so phucked that all they do is fight one another, vote against their conscience once given a "Bag of Rice and a Tin of Vegetable oil"! )How then can the desired change come, when we the beneficiaries are this phucked-Up? The Nigerian Military that should have come to the "rescue" are so corrupt and indisciplined, that they sell their arms to the enemy and leak information to the nation's enemy (Treason!)! See why l think we are phucked, from all angles? Sometimes l ask myself: What does a man need again, after you have money, a good family, a few properties and you are relatively comfortable..... MORE THAN A GOOD LEGACY/NAME? I still remember general Tunde Idiagbon today! I still remember general Muritala Muhammed, I stiil remember Chief Awolowo/Bola Ige;( I can understand "why", if the average Igbo man does not agree with me on this one but lets look at it from the angle of "What he did for his 'country/Western region, ONLY), I still remember the Gideon Orkah, the Agui Ironsi, The Enahoro, e.t.c ....and l wonder, where are this men of honor in Nigeria? Honestly, if l had the "means and connection" to "lead this country, even for just one month", the world would remember me... That One man passed this country and did so much in just one month. 2015 will not change anything as long as our only option is to choose between the DEVIL (GEJ) and SATAN (Buhari). Independent Candidates should come out (But l understand they dont have the money, the political structure and the muscle to counter the established "party-machinery system" we operate in Nigeria.... and such parties will never allow such men to be on the Ballot paper! They wont even smell nomination at primary level! Jeez, we are soooo phucked! Lastpage! |
barcanista:Its either Mr. Secretary is an IMPOSTOR (probably planted by Govt itself to give us the impression that they are "doing something" since election is only a few Months away) or his own Group is not even the "real Boko Haram" that we are looking for. His group may just be one of those splinter groups that wants to cash-in, make some money and get some cheap popularity. "Sheep-Cow" has posted video where he denounced this Mr. Secretary as an Impostor! So, who should we believe? This man or Shekau? (But Govt said they have killed "Sheep-Cow" about three times over-and-over! )Truth is Boko Haram can be splintered/fragmented but they are all terrorist groups notwithstanding. Mr. Secretary keeps referring to "CHAD Republic" and that makes me think the Girls were actually moved to Chad, at some time. Again, he says "the onus is on Nigerian Govt to set the Agenda on the release of the girls"! That is utter rubbish! If you claim the girls were abducted by you, are within your care, are hale and hearty, it is your agenda to tell us WHERE AND WHEN YOU WILL SET THEM FREE! This is what makes me think this Mr. Secretary is actually FAKE! He does not seem to be in control. Let him show us PROOF that the GIRLS are actually in his Custody: Go to their mist and record a "live Video" and let Govt officials "do live video chat" with them, with yourself in their midst.... Then we can believe you, Mr. Secretary! I hope GEJ's Govt will not fall for a scam, except it is all "arraigned" by them anyways! ![]() Lastpage! |
When a MAN tells women the truth, they label him all sorts of unprintable name! When a WOMAN tells her womenfolk the truth, they also label her with all sorts of name! What is this thing called women sef? Hater of TRUTH? Notice that she did not say all women, her context was in a "general sense". Like saying "men are stronger than women" does not mean ALL MEN are stronger than all women since some men get beaten by their wife! But in the "general sense", we can agree that men are generally stronger than women. So, when she says "Women are their own worst enemy because of how they cause pain to other women", she has a point. If we all blame the married man that gets down with a younger woman, why dont we ask why the younger woman not "think" like this Op and say "Go back home to your wife, l will look for my own Bachelor"? Naah, she sees the man as "ready made" and will shed crocodile tears to snatch him from his wife! A thief and his accomplice are both thieves! Even the Op, mischievously advices that "Such woman should collect the man's money first"....FORGETTING THAT AWOOF DEY RUN BELLE! Is he any different from the women she is criticizing? Women, Hheen! ![]() Lastpage! |
Hmmm..... it seems the FORTY LAPTOP CREW have been alerted to come and "work for their pay"! Just read and see the trend of comments coming out of recent! ![]() BTW: Even if you did not go to school, you should know the difference between "Assembled in Nigeria" and "MADE in Nigeria". That argument about Laptops not having all their components made in a particular country, does not apply in this instance. Those countries only import things they cannot manufacture locally or things which manufacturing them locally are not economically viable, to add to those (majority of components) which they already produce for the said Laptop, as an example. And again, the product would be an "ORIGINAL" for that country. Neither Hyundai nor the i10 is an indigenous Nigerian product name......Hyundai i10 has been in use all over the world since late 2012 so its not unique to Nigeria at all. Until we get down to real business (maybe by supporting INNOSSON, improving and stabilizing Electricity without giving silly excuses, taking back from Govt cronies and reviving our moribund Steel Plants like Ajaokuta, stop supporting corrupt and inept Govts/Leaders, e.t.c), until then, we will only be living in a fools paradise and deceiving ourselves like the Ostrich that buries its head in the sand, just to escape reality! Reality is WE PRODUCE NOTHING! Not because we are incapable or dont have the ingenuity, but because we lack the infrastructure required to produce or have any meaningful development. "Vision-less leaders" can lead a vision! A Nation without Vision may perish eventually or at best, remain underdeveloped for eternity! Lastpage! |
Nobleval:Abeg help me ask them o! ![]() Stewpid people, they ALWAYS come around with different sorts of excuse.... EACH TIME they FAIL! We have Police, Army, Navy, Airforce, SSS, Armed Civil Defence, e.t.c ....yet we still complain about minor security issues like Vandalism! Are you telling me you guys are clueless about what can be done to STOP this recurring vandalisation of Pipelines? Can you not learn from how this is tackled in other countries using technology and Policing? We need RESULTS.... not all this moaning and complaining please. Mtchew Lastpage! |
MissMeiya:NO SHAKING! WE APPRECIATE SEUN AND NAIRALAND BUT WE HAVE NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT. As long as you, Seun, remembers that we have choices when it comes to where we blog! If and when we think you are begining to act the bollocks and your site is like no longer fulfilling your "members aspirations" viz-a-viz expressing our mind without fear or favor.....we simply "do the needful". When People/Visitors go, ....Adverts dry-up! ![]() So SIMPLES! Okay, its time to play that game called "BLINK" ...as in 'who blinks first'. Lastpage! BTW: Govt officials (or better and more appropriately refered to as "Public Servants", should focus more on doing what is right, what they are paid or voted into office to do..... and stop worrying about being insulted. When they steal our money, loot the treasury, abuse their privileges....THEY DESERVE AL THE VENOM WE CAN THROW AT THEM! if any "Govt official" does not like that, they can resign or step down from office... or is it by force to be a Govt official? |
olrotimi:I was wondering whether these desperate religious scam is peculiar to our brothers from the Eastern part of Nigeria? (No pun intended, just noticed that all the Pastors in question, so far, are from that end!).... I am looking forward to someone posting such "desperately dangerous posters" of our pimping Pastors from the West as well, l am sure they abound in large numbers! Mugu don suffer, hhen? Lastpage! toecyne:The bolded above is actually "YOUR POINT"... .....and l dare say, it is POINTLESS! ![]() Okocha is Okocha, and will always be remembered as OKOCHA! No one can be Okocha.... he is that good they named him TWICE! Jay Jay was a master of the round leather, like it or not, he belongs in a class of his own. Since his "retirement' tell me one "complete mid-fielder" that Nigeria has produced, who commanded the mid-field, like he did? Mikel was expected to step into hi shoes but since he joined Chelsea, his game changed dramatically. Coupled with fame, money and ego, TODAY, Mikel Obi is a shadow of himself (Juts watch him against Messi at the World Cup under-age finals ) Please leave Okocha alone, his legacy lives with him. BTW: Who you be sef, to be saying Okocha is overhyped? Did you ever play soccer at even street levels? Mtchew! Lastpage! |
geniusbami:Well, with groups like Ohaneze Ndigbo telling us that ALL IGBOS have already ENDORSED GEJ for a second term in 2015, l guess it shows that "people deserve the kind of leaders they get, even if it is a clueless and disgraceful one". ![]() Let me hastily add that this show of "self-destructive and foolish support" is not isolated to Ohaneze alone, it cuts across to other groups like TIN, e.t.c Nigerians are their own worst enemy. Idrismusty97:With people like you, "they" dont need Ebola to mock Nigeria.... they should just use "ACUTE LOW LEVEL OF INTELLIGENCE'! Otherwise, how does someone like you on Mother-Earth, claim that because "it is a private company", it cant be sued? Did you go to school at all? Have you not heard of anyone being sued because of comments/statements that bother on INCITEMENT TO HATRED? That T-Shirt inscription was not just designed to ridicule a single person, it mention the word "NIGERIA"... and that is a whole nation! It portrayed a whole nation, albeit FALSELY since Nigeria has not recorded any known case of Ebola in over 7weeks (while the incubation period of Ebola is just 3Weeks!), as a place where travellers get infected with Ebola! what is this open display of ignorance? ![]() Everything about that T-Shirt's message reeks of stigmatism and you clueless dolt is saying they cannot be sued, blah-blah-blah! I wont even attempt to educate you further or argue with you because l am sure if one argues with a fool, they will bring you down to their level and then "beat you up with experience"! Ahmed Musa is one of the Nigerian footballers l still like.... now, that doesn't come cheap. He is level-headed and even at Club level, he puts-in 101%! Just imagine, asking the "short man" to be the TOP STRIKER at CSKA Moscow! Now that is a TALL ORDER... but he still tries and scores beautiful goals. #LoveMusa. Lastpage! |
KingEbukasBlog:The "bolder and highlighted" aprt caught my attention! While l am happy for Saka that he found love, that he loves and doesn't joke with his family and that he appraciates his wife a lot, .. ...I am curious if it is "morally acceptable and justifiable" for a "Mr. Lecturer" to approach his student and declare: "I will mark your paper"! ..and student responds: Excuze me Sir, l dont know what to doooo! ![]() (singing "Mr. Lecturer"....*** in Abdul Karreem's voice****) Seriously, l dont think a Lecturer should express "romantic emotions" to his student, as long as there is a student-lecturer relationship still in existence between them. Unibenstudent:If what you mean by "denounce" is if for example, you are a Christian, then you are offered 100Milla to DENY that you are a Christian (Say: I am NOT a Christian), then l will do it sharp-sharp! .....and collect the Money! In fact, l will do it for "half-price"! ![]() I will use 50Milla of the money (half) to educate children who are orphans, l will use part of it to build single unit house for a few widows, l will use part of it to sow into the business of fathers whose business are "struggling" so they can feed their family. I will go to a few villages and sink borehole for them so they can have portable drinkable water, ...with generator to boot. I will take part of the remainder and build/equip a few hospitals in very remote villages with no access to electricity. By the time l finish, if l still have anything left, l will put it into an endowment fund for the best student from my alma matta primary school. Now, once the money is finished, l would seriously pray to god to "direct me" as l advertise that l am ready to "denounce" my faith again, and collect another 100Milla! Aah, this cant be the same "North" l know inside-out! My work in the past requires that l travel to every state we have a Branch, virtually every state in Nigeria has one or more branches! I spend a month or more in each state at a go and l re-visit all these places at least twice in the year! Now, this is not the North we all know. This pictures only depicts a TINY SPRINKLE of nice locations in the North Wait, you mean this is all the WHOLE NORTH of about 16-STATES have to offer? And to think some of the buildings shown are even owned by Southerners! ![]() Show us the Schools, Higher institutions, Hospitals, Industries, e.t.c in each state. I am surprised l did not even see Babangida's Hilltop mansion, which is one of the best buildings in the North in that pix (Dont bother about whose money he stole to build it, thats another story). What about Boko 'ar Rams that full everywhere? Where are the Military presence? Where are the supporters of APC with their charms and amulets? Where are the Cattle Rustlers with the AK-47 slung across their shoulders? Where are the Kunu sellers? Where are the millions of Achaba (Motorcycles) that flood the road and make cars catch cold and shiver? ![]() Where are the hordes of street urchins (Almanjeri) with a bowl in one hand, running from one Chairman's house to the other, looking for food? Where are the road-side traders? I know some of the pics are "lifted" from files (one even have the Logo on it) but please, if you want to present the WHOLE NORTH, present it "AS IT IS" and let us make our judgement! Even Abuja and Lagos have their own slums, and cant be excluded from their image... talk-less of the North! Anyway, l applaud your effort to "re-engineer our perception" but please, do it with utmost honesty. Lastpage! BTW: The north is beautiful in its "own way", no need trying to compare it to the Souther States. The North as a whole, will always remain the "North"; Op, why are you repeating and duplicating pictures now? Wasting storage and bandwidth on Seun's Servers! Please streamline the pics. |
berem:Not actually for you alone, your quote was just a reference to the asinine thinking that seems to be the order of the day in modern day Nigeria. berem:It is Stewpid Comments" like this, that marks out our country as a complete failure, in the commity of civilized nations! ![]() Lets agree that the guy is owing rent. It is because he is poor or has no money to pay his rent right now. Work is dry maybe, .....like all "self employed", he/they go through all sorts of ups and downs. I hope he settles his rent soon. Having said that, l was expecting people with a little bit of sense, (though l may be expecting too much), to focus on the revealing allegations he made. Look at it from this angle, you are a woman and probably a Mother: Now imagine if a teacher insists on R@ping your daughter before giving her her due grades in her exams? I know a lot of those seeing this as "NORMAL" are probably the types that slept with many lecturers in school, just to graduate! To them, such debasement of women is NORMAL! ...And they are the same ones that would be preaching to us that Men dont respect women? It is these same sort of women that sleep around with every Abuja-Eediot with a Pr!ck, just to get a contract to purchase window-blind for Govt Parastatal! How can women be respected when women support and condone this kind of Evil, against fellow women? What can be more degrading than to lure young, aspiring actress to a Flat in Surulere, just to phuck them, before allowing them to show-case their talent? Maybe it happens everywhere in the world but the only difference is that the populace in those places, will still frown at it and anyone caught "red-handed" doing so, will face the music. Most of these producers and nothing short of Peodophiles who sleep with pre-puberty girls who have an eye for the glamour world of acting! Imagine, sodomizing a young chap who just wants to feature in a film! Is this what "Normal" has turned to, for all you numskulls? ![]() Honestly, l use to think things where bad some decades back but now, l think we will implode, morally speaking, ...in a very short time. This "Poor Actor" (yes, he is poor but has dignity and morals) should be applauded for having the guts not just to make such evil practices know to the Public.... BUT HAVING THE COURAGE TO BACK IT UP BY NAMING AND SHAMING THEM! Let them sue him if they think he is lying and slandering their name. Before l finish typing this, you will see some of these dolts abusing Jonathan, maybe rightly so but then, if people are silly to the extent of not encouraging those who want to "make positive changes", how then will "Goats" not rule and lord it over so-called humanbeings? When has a fat bank account become a compass for judging MORALITY and DIGNITY? Why do we glorify Evil and act as if we are the "primitive animals" they think we are? Jeez! bennieman:I just "observed" that Linda, in her own posts, confirmed that the Ayedee guy helped her a lot in the past. She indicated that she used to go "back-and-forth" with him whenever she NEEDED HELP But STRANGELY, she said and l quote: LindaIkeji: Then we stopped talking. I sincerely can’t remember when exactly. I know that Alex 1976AD tried to reach out to me mid last year…but I can’t remember if I responded. If I didn’t, it was an oversight. I’m really bad at replying mails because I get so many and I’m always busy blogging…but anyway. Now, except you are a baby and a very dull one for that matter, you will instantly know that something is fishy with that statement, someone (Linda) is concealing information definitely and is not stating the exact truth about "How and what" made communication to cease, bearing in mind how "platonically close" both of them had been and how she had benefited immensely from that "professional relationship. Thus, when l read the Tweets of Ayedee later, as posted by someone else, l said "Haahaa, l knew it, l knew there is more to the story"! Linda is feigning ignorance, she is trying to give the impression that the GUY has a Crush on her and that is why he was helping her and because she did not return the favor, that is why he engineered the shutdown of her Blog! Now, l dont know Linda Ikeji (l have read some gossips on her Blog through re-direction two or three times so l know she is a Blogger, l had also smiled when l saw the way 'young' people were drooling over her SUV! Good for her though, as she worked for it and l understand why some young teenagers get google-eyed on seeing her SUV, they themselves are dreaming of something like that but for matured people, you are like, whats so special with buying an SUV that it is generating this much noise Maybe its part of her publicity strategy)...But even this Ayedee of a guy, l have never heard of at all. Complete blank! So, my opinion on both is from a neutral observer who does not give a two-phuck about either of them. *I want to believe from what Linda has posted herself, from snippets, small confirmations and innuendos, that she actually committed the offences the guy said angered him *That he tried to reach her severally until she BLOCKED HIM OFF (that is where her statements about "we just stopped talking", gave her away!) *Linda Ikeji was actually infringing on the intellectual property of the Ayedee guy *Linda Ikeji was lying and playing the victim, to obfuscate her hanky-panky while trying to garner sympathy at the same time!. I am a very good judge of character and l can tell you from the little that has transpired, that Linda Ikeji is desperate, a cheat and an ungrateful opportunist (as regards him and the Ayedee guy interaction). That she even tried to malign the guy and portray him as some vindictive stalker shows how low she can get! Forget that she bought an SUV or has a few naira in her account. Lastpage! Caveat: The above is just my own personal opinion of the charade; l was actually concerned for her, as a young lady, that her effort were being ruined by some "Ayedee guy" for PhD (Pull her Down) reasons which was the impression she gave initially, hence my initial interest in the issue but PLEASE, she need not get this desperate! Haaba!! Like any personal opinion, it does not change anything and no one should develop BeePee over it. Write yours if you feel strongly about it. ![]() |

Arosa:I heard an outburst by the cousin of Duncan (the Ebola casualty) on Channel 5USA +1 and France 24.com ....where he was complaining bitterly about how the U.S authorities did not administer the Zmapp treatment to his cousin and he was never treated properly until after about five days in isolation!. He was actually sent back home the first time he complained and told them he is feeling sick and that he has just arrived from Liberia, an epidemic country! While l give kudos to effort of Nigerian Govt, especially Lagos Govt and most importantly, our health workers (special note to ones like Dr. Aedadevo who paid the supreme sacrifice to ensure that it did not get out of hand) l am wondering whether we actually beleive that it was our sheer effort that made us contain this Ebola? We have been forming superman of recent, about this Ebola and it appears that we are begining to take things for granted. Okay, l have not seen ANY EFFORT at checkmating ROAD TRAVELLERS which form the bulk of human movement in Nigeria. Of recent, l observed the sheer number of people who travel on FOOT, MOTORCYCLE and VEHICLES ACROSS COTONOU BORDER without any form of check at all! Any of those thousands of people on a daily basis could be a carrier! And we have such porous length of borders allover, with neighbouring countries! Mind you, it may not manifest until a few hours or even a day, after crossing over, even if you do the "temperature check" at the border. My plea is that Nigerians should PLEASE not get complacent. Ebola is REAL, it KILLS and it is MERCILESS. We still need to avoid (or at least exercise extreme caution) large gathering of people (Mosque, Church, Crusades, Parties, Markets, Schools, Buses, Viewing Centers, e.t.c). Remember, all it takes is JUST ONE INFECTED CARRIER.....to kill thousands and millions of people .... especially in a crowded location like our cities! PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN CURE! ...meaning: O'oju la'lakan fi'nsori! Let us continue to do the test, wash our hands regularly, wear face mask and hand gloves, wear rain coat (thank God its rainy season now), eat ewedu, avoid contact with anyone's bodily fluid (from mucus, tears, urine, saliva, excreta, sneezing, kissing, e.t.c). Even s.ex, sef, wear condom for now, abeg! Our Government (Uncle Jonathan!) should also make money available to buy more PPE (Personal protective Equipment) for our health professionals so that they can be more encouraged and emboldened to assist in treatment and containment. No use "committing suicide", after all these years in medical school, abi? And please warn that our useless Minister for Health to stop diverting money meant for Ebola Project into buying Vehicles, like his life depends on such vehicles! What a shame! (Dont read any tribalism into that comment, it is a very silly decision for the Minister to make, at this material time). Lastpage! BTW: I suspect "some" Nigerians might have a higher level of immunity to the virus..... and thatexplains its low level of spread. Just my thinking. I just hope they would not start kidnapping Nigerians for "blood serum", to develop an antidote! ![]() |
