So you want to "form" for me that you live in the U.K? huh grin grin

But that is by the way and not my problem.
Next time, dont refer people to your "profile", its ain't worth it.

I dont know which "orientation or imagination" you are talking

(At times, just PDP (Productivity Driven Pay a.k.a "Profit Sharing" at Graduate level/Snr. Sup./ABO is around 400K when business blossoms. Any one who had worked in that Industry for some time can confirm this)

I also saw your picture and from the look of things, you're still a "small boy" thus, l will pardon your "diarrhea of the mouth". kiss kiss wink
This is one thing i fear. Doctors and nurses should be extremely careful when dealing with issues relating to life and health. The nurse in question is said to be experienced, having done it over the years. I see carelessness and little mistakes causiog serious problems. These people will never take it likely, especially when they now know that she is a black woman from Nigeria.
White people dont like circumcision.
Its quite revolting when l see a white-male pr.ick with that ugly, drooling skin like that of an ostrich throat! shocked

But as usual, anything "African" must be condemned and tarnished by the Westerners.
Thu, it's no surprise that "Parents" have been harassed (and jailed in certain circumstances), for "circumcision" of their baby.

I subscribe to the idea that whatever we do that is "traditional" , we can "modernize it" using latest technology, equipments and methods .... to reduce infections and fatality.
This is how the Chinese have been able to stay ahead .... in cases like Acupuncture
!

Having said that, this woman is a trained Nurse, she is "experienced" and has done hundred of such procedures, successfully in the past.

WHY did this one go wrong? QUESTIONS! QUESTIONS!!

*As some have pointed out, it could be that the baby was Hemophiliac!
*Should she had known this ab-initio?
*Should she have, as 'standard practice', run some "blood test" on potential babies, before doing the circumcision or at least, have access to the baby's "medical history"?
*Should there not have been some "post-operative monitoring procedure" she should have put in place, after such surgery?
*Why should the procedure not be available widely in PUBLIC HOSPITAL, to prevent people from patronizing "unlicensed / quacks" doing it in non-sterile environments?

Its very unfortunate that this hard working woman, who had done good to humanity (as a Nurse), will end her career and life in such ignominy!
I feel even more sympathy for that innocent baby and his parents.

It is very sad, if indeed true!

When a matter is before Court, all discussions/ opinion or deliberation about it are suspended to avoid a situation where one is in CONTEMPT OF COURT!

shadrach77: in a haste to criticize the man of God, some people failed to realise that their is a difference between sowing and giving. Your contributions in church is GIVING. God did not say sow your tithe, he said BRING it because it belongs to Him. Also the bible did not say God loves a cheerful sower, it said God loves a cheerful giver. SOWING is what you do when you are expecting a harvest and many portions of the bible support this.

Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. Galatians 6:7
(KJV)
sad sad sad
Why do people like to "quote Bible passage" in a way to buttress their pre-conceived positions?

The highlighted phrase above WAS NOT USED in the "CONTEXT OF MONEY"!

It was used in the context of "our general livelihood and behavior to MAN and GOD"!

In simple terms, it means "If you do evil (sow evil or wickedness), you will reap same .... but if you practice righteousness (so Godliness, obidience to his laws), you will also reap likewise in terms of Peace and salvation.

ogugua88: Promise: I will fix the Benin-Ore Road.

Nigerians mark his words, again.
You dont need to "mark" his words anymore ...... enough of marking it! grin

President Jonathan: [First published May 22, 2011]
He promised such things as electricity, security, jobs, and education, as well as to transform the economy and combat corruption.
[He promised]:

•A five-year plan to revolutionize agriculture and establish industries in the country (Oturkpo, Benue State February 17);

•A four-year development plan that would open up the South-South geo-political zone (Calabar, Cross River State, March 7); it includes a blueprint for coastal roads and railways;

•A five-year development plan to accelerate development in the country (Asaba, 25 February 2010)

•Roads and other basic infrastructure to be developed in four years (Akure, March 2, 2010).

•Road construction to take new five-year structure, ending yearly budgetary allocations (Ibadan, February 9, 2010)

•Five-year strategic plan for road projects (Bida, February 22).

•A holistic review of the nation’s education policy (Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, March 12, 2010)

*In Aba on February 12, he promised to stamp out kidnapping; provide facilities that would boost the enterprising spirit of the Igbo; upgrade the Enugu airport to international level; dredge the River Niger; build a dry port in Aba for Igbo businessmen; complete the Second Niger Bridge; rehabilitate all the main roads into Abia; tackle the erosion crisis; and make Aba the Ground Zero of eventual aircraft production in Nigeria.

In Uyo on March 7, he promised to build coastal roads and rail from Lagos to Calabar.

In Awka on Feb 26,2010, he said he would construct all the major roads which link Anambra with its neighbors; complete the ongoing aero-dynamic survey of gas in the Anambra River basin, which [leading to] power supply, then Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) industry”; complete the second Niger Bridge; and complete the Onitsha Inland Port.

Nigerians would not be talking about generators after his four years in office, he vowed.

*In Bauchi on February 9, he promised to intensify oil and gas exploration in the North-East Zone; boost agriculture, power and water supply; provide dams and power projects; establish two universities in the region; construct schools with modern facilities for 9.5 million Almajiris; and combat rising terrorism in the area.

*In Asaba on February 26 2010, he announced that the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation would create jobs for over 5,000 youths in the region; promised to transform the Nigerian oil and gas industry and make it the destination of choice for investors in Africa; convene a stakeholders meeting across the country where communities will be able to determine their priority programmes.

*In Dutse, on March 17 2010: Jonathan promised to establish airports in all the states without airports, with Jigawa as his starting point.
*In Abakaliki on Feb 25, he promised the South East geo-political zone priority attention, especially in fixing its dilapidated road network and in healthcare delivery; dualize the Enugu-Abakaliki Express Road within one year; convert the Federal Medical Centre in Abakaliki to a teaching hospital.

*In Enugu on February 12, he promised to stamp out kidnapping, ensure facilities that would enhance the enterprising spirit of the Igbo; upgrade the Enugu airport to international level; dredge the River Niger; build a dry port in Aba for easy access to Igbo traders; and complete the Second Niger Bridge.

*In Birni Kebbi on March 20, he promised to establish schools for Almajiris, boost agricultural produce, ensure the take-off of the Federal University in Kebbi next year.

*In Lokoja on February 21, he promised to revive the Ajaokuta Steel Complex and the Itakpe Iron Ore Company; explore the agricultural potential of the state to boost food security; establish a new federal university; ensure the speedy completion of the Lokoja-Abuja road project, and dredge the lower and upper River Niger.

*In Ilorin also on Feb 21, 2010, Jonathan promised to end discrimination along ethnic and religious lines; tackle poverty; agricultural transformation of Kwara State; rehabilitation of the nation’s railway system; rehabilitation of the Ilorin-Mokwa road. He would also revitalize ailing industries and grant loans to farmers (objectives for which, he said, funds had already been earmarked).

*In Lafia on February 7 at the North Central Zone launching of his campaign, Jonathan promised to end chronic power shortages; improve health and education; ensure food self-sufficiency; manage oil revenues better; create a Sovereign Wealth Fund. He would also clampdown on kidnappers and criminals; pursue law breakers to the ends of the Earth, and ensure there would be no sacred cows. He guaranteed a university in every state; proper care for communities along the water ways; and construction of a refinery.

*In Lagos on February 28, 2010, Jonathan promised to partner with Lagos State in the interest of its continuous growth and the nation’s economic buoyancy. “We have taken this period to study what we are going to do and by your mandate in May 29, we will hit the ground running,” he said.

*In Jos on February 17, 2010, he promised “a straight fight” against poverty; to create wealth by improving power and water supply; to build more dams and complete ongoing ones in order to boost irrigation farming in Plateau; to complete the Vom-Manchok-Jos road to boost economic links between Plateau and Kaduna states; to encourage more agricultural research institutes; refocus on solid mineral development. (Now in November 2012, he says he will no longer create wealth but "reduce poverty"! Semantics, right? Or just a barefaced liar!)

*In Minna on Feb 15, he promised to establish three power projects in the state at a cost of $2.1bn (about N315bn).

*In Port Harcourt on February 12, at the launching of his South-South Campaign, he promised to commence “transformational changes” in the South-South; said the NNPC had begun investing in the petrochemical industry in the region; that the people in the region would be given a voice in the oil and gas sector. He promised to make the Niger Delta region the hub of the petrochemical industry in Africa.

*In Abeokuta, on March 12, he promised to revive the railway system; revive ailing refineries; build new refineries.

*In Akure on March 2, Jonathan promised that the bitumen deposits in the state would be exploited for economic development and employment generation; to provide funds for small and medium scale enterprises, mechanised farming and agro-based industries; and to partner with relevant agencies to harness the agrarian nature of the State “to open up the flank of semi and mechanized farming in the State to engender a paradigm shift from subsistence farming to reliable modern agricultural practices.”

*In Osogbo on March 2, 2010, he promised to complete the Lagos-Jebba rail project right away; complete the Ife-Ijesa dam; enhance agricultural irrigation; provide farmers with adequate information; invest in petrochemicals, mining, research and development.

*In Ibadan on February 9, at the SouthWest launch of the campaign, he promised to: run a transparent government; treat all citizens equally; respect law and order; turn around the nation’s bad road network.

*In Gusau on March 15, he promised to establish a federal university of technology within one year.
Jonathan’s fourth and final confetti carton of promises seemed designed to overwhelm anyone who had not yet folded under the avalanche:

*N50 billion set aside in 2011 Budget to facilitate employments for the youths (Ondo, March 2);

*•Build car manufacturing or assembly plants (meeting with leaders of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, Abuja, March 21);

•Revive ailing oil refineries and build new ones (Abeokuta, March 12)

•Collaborate with state governments to explore the solid minerals sector (Gusau, March 15);

•Spend N350 billion in building small dams across the North in the next four years to stimulate “massive irrigational farms” (Northern Economic Summit, Kaduna, March 19);

•Expand and develop the downstream sector of the oil and gas industry to provide about one million jobs (one-man presidential “debate,” March 31, Abuja);

•Make Nigeria an exporter of rice (Presidential Summit on Job Creation, Abuja, April 12, 2010); How much is a bag of "imported rice" today? grin

•Crackdown on piracy in the entertainment industry (Presidential Summit on Job Creation, Abuja, April 12)
In Onitsha on February 27: “I do not make empty promises in my campaign because whatever I promise to do, I had already carried out adequate study to make sure I can accomplish it in the next four years.”
Now, anyone that can make these MUCH PROMISES and VOWING.....

Is either a good president (if he accomplished even 45% of it) or one of the worst bare-faced liars ever to grace the face of the earth (if he keeps reeling out more promises without fulfilling previous ones!

Koolking: Excellent! A nagging boss is manageable. He can be replaced. But hell no to a nagging wife. You have to live with it or you work out ways to change her. The house will be a living hell with a nagging wife.

Marriage 101:
NEVER think for a second, that you can change your spouse!

It is called the "grand delusion in marriage"!

Of course you will sooner than later realize that its an effort in futility .... and frustration and marital breakdown will set-in.

If you CANT accept He/She as they are (and live with it), then dont marry him/her. SIMPLES!

BTW: I think a nagging wife is better, you can always run away when you'd have "enough" without it affecting your source of livelihood! .... wink wink grin

damn! I forgot she would chase you down for "wifey financial support" angry angry

biafra kwenu: Please don't misinform the public. Overspeeding means going above the approved speed limit for a particular area. For example, in a market/school area, you are not allowed to go beyond 40km/hr. Anything more you are overspeeding for that particular area. Every country has their own speed limits for every area
Sir, with due respect, l beg to differ with your definition of OVER SPEEDING!

Over speeding is when one drives ABOVE THE "APPROPRIATE SPEED" UNDER A "CERTAIN DRIVING CONDITION"
(S).
The "key words" here are "appropriate" and "prevailing conditions".
Both would determine when you are over-speeding!

It is very different from driving over/above "approved speed limit" ... which you correctly defined above..

let me elucidate further sir;

In clear and dry weather, you can drive at 100Km/h and still be okay but under wet/rainy or snowwy conditions, you will be "over-speeding" if you do that same 100Km/h, on the same stretch of road because that speed is not appropriate for the "driving conditions prevailing" at that moment, on that road.

Govt may have approved a "speed limit of 100Km/h" for that same road .....but if you follow that speed limit under treacherous conditions(it simply means the maximum speed you CAN do, it does not mean maximum you MUST do!), you will be over speeding and endangering your own life and that of others.

Thank you,

From my won experience in Naija (and l have over 20years driving experience under my belt! both locally and non-locally),

I would say DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL IS OUR MAJOR CAUSE OF ACCIDENT!

I have seen people leave a party very drunk and they still drive themselves Home (and carry passengers too!) shocked shocked

I have seen drivers of public transport (Danfo, Molue, okada, Luxurious, e.t.c) immerse themselves in Alcohol just minutes before taking the steering wheel!

Alcohol "impairs your sense of judgement and gives you an "eerie, superman feeling".

When you mix Alcohol with rickety, ill-maintained vehicle and excessive speeding, what you get is CARNAGE and DEATH!

Please drive safely, remember those you left at home are waiting, to welcome you back home, l wish everyone a safe Christmas and a brilliant 2013 ...4... ahead.

Webmasters › Re: Should Parents Be Held Responsible For Their Child’s Online Behavior? by lastpage: 1:40am On Nov 20, 2012
When Parents decide to "do as they do in Rome", be "real parents", by "actively parenting their children; for example, monitoring what their child does online,
You peeps will say they are 'too controlling", sadist, over-bearing, unfit,

But when they become "enlightened" and give unfettered freedom to their children (and children being children, will always abuse unlimited freedom!), you come around to blame the same parents!

I guess nothing will satisfy us until we ruin this world beyond repair!

Everyday, we see as one bizarre act upon another (gay, lesbianism, Satan worship, disrespect for elders, gun-maniac, e.t.c) being
"admitted as NORMAL" and kids are taught that "it's cool" to do such things!

(shakes head in sadness at what we are turning a beautiful world into)

Bottom line: A Parent is a parent, for certain reasons.
A Parent is RESPONSIBLE for their child's actions BUT the Parent must be given a freehand to TRAIN THEIR CHILD PROPERLY!
We can have it both ways!

Car Talk › Re: Old Number Plates Invalid By Sept. 30, 2013 -FRSC by lastpage: 12:08am On Nov 19, 2012
etunoman76: The Federal Road Safety Commission has warned that old number plates will become invalid by September 30, 2013.

“Owners of vehicles are enjoined not to wait till the last minute, when there could be a rush, before procuring the new plates. Those whose vehicle papers have expired or are about expiring are urged to procure the new plates rather than just renewing the vehicle papers, which of course will have to be renewed again when the new plates are being obtained. This will definitely save costs.
What kind of dubiousness is this?
When you "REPLACE" your number plate, it is just the "Metal" that is changed, the "Number" (e.g, xx 151 EKY) on that metal plate is STILL THE SAME?
So, why would you have to "renew' your documents when the plate number "values" are still the same?

etunoman76: Chief Executive Officer, FRSC, Mr. Osita Chidoka, had explained that it was to ensure the safety and security of Nigerians.
At a hearing on the matter organised by the Senate Committee on Federal Character and Inter-governmental Affairs in March 2012, Chidoka said the new plates were intended to tie a number plate to an individual or organisation.
Again, this idea of "tying a plate to a person or group" is arrant nonsense!
This Govt official called Osita Chidoka, is just a Thief!
Currently, the automatic number system in place attaches a plate number to the vehicle owner (except if he is saying the FRSC has been assigning duplicated plate Numbers to different people!).

But then, WHEN WILL NIGERIANS LEARN TO RESIST THESE BUFFOONS THAT ARE EXPLOITING THEM?

These cabal has realized that all we do is whine and groan but we NEVER do anything about it .....at least not a sustained lockdown of the polity!

They are taking Nigerians for a joke? Or maybe Nigerians are just a joke!

No government will give you your right, YOU FIGHT FOR IT!
Nigerians FIGHT! FIGHT!! FIGHT for your right.

I killed this "dangerous" Pedophile Male Chicken (can l call it a C.o.c.k?) in my neighborhood!
Very dangerous chap as he is always bleeping the old and young Chickens in the area!

And because he is very strong, he chases and sometimes maims the aspiring, younger male Chickens!

What really annoyed me was when l saw it trying to r.a.pe a small baby chicken that was barely a month old!.....though that baby chicken na fine gaals sha!
l hate "Aristo Chickens". angry

It tried to fight back but l bite its silly head-off!

Christianity Etc › Re: Four-week-old Colombian Baby Can Walk & Breathe Fire by lastpage: 5:01pm On Nov 16, 2012
ochallO: Black magic and evil spirits have captured the soul of a new-born baby in Colombia who can apparently already walk by himself and produce fire, his own mother has claimed......the mother-of-five says he frequently hides around the house, cackles in an 'adult' way for hours on end and has an 'intimidating' pair of eyes.
Dont worry, l am already planning on ADOPTING that baby!
But he better truly breath-out fire or l go beat am die! grin grin
At least all l have to do, to cook rice, is PINCH the little fella and my rice is cooked! Fire, right?
As for his intimidating eyes, he needs to see mine, to "calm down"!

ochallO: She told the RCN Radio station: 'He walks like an adult, sometimes going off and hiding underneath the bed, in a suitcase, in the washing machine or in the fridge.'
Where is the Fridge and Washing Machine, in that house? huh huh
Those folks dont evne have "electricity"!
Washing Machine koo, Rice Cooker nii!

ochallO: A worry for the neighbours: The family live in Lorica, Columbia
Her neighbours in the town of Lorica, near the Caribbean coast, also say he is possessed by a 'malign spirit' and that he is capable of producing fire.

This, they say, is because burn marks have been found on his clothes and a sofa where he regularly sits.
It has led to vigilante attacks on Santos and her taxi-driver husband Óscar Palencia López's house, which is allegedly being pelted with stones on a nightly-basis by frightened residents.
So, if the boy can truly "produce fire", you people will have the effrontery to "STONE HIS PARENTS"?
Fire burn all of you one by one! grin grin

Thank God say no be me be that boy, l for burn una house one by one, before l burn all of you along! shocked shocked

ochallO: But the 28-year-old's story has not been believed by doctors, who have now launched an investigation into the possibility that the new-born could have been abused.
The Colombian Family Welfare Institute, the National Police and the Catholic Church have also all refused to assert the claims that black magic is involved.
A team of psychologists, a social worker, a nutritionist and a lawyer will now look into the case, with a source saying: 'The child shows signs of abuse.
Useless Police!
Just Slap the boy and if he truly can runand produce fire, Walahi, una go see "flenti fire"

Anyway sha, it was funny!

Politics › Re: Nigeria Scraps Canada Power Contract In Privatisation Setback by lastpage: 5:42am On Nov 15, 2012
So, IN SUMMARY:

1.) OBJ started the process ...but did not follow DUE PROCESS!
(He probably did some shady deals, under the table ...(That man must rot somewhere hotter than hell!)..
and in the end, we MANITOBA was selected.

2.) Yar Ardua was not comfortable with the "un-due" process but instead of re-starting the process so that Nigerians can enjoy uninterrupted power supply and our nation develop, he simply puts it on 'ice' and froze it.

Now, l can cut him some slack ...he was too sickly to focus or do anything tangible.

Remember: GEJ was the second in command, under Yar Ardua's government and he infact inherit the few years left behind, when Yar Ardua was finally announced to have Kaput!

3.)Same GEJ has effectively spent over 3years as Nigeria's President.....and in those years, he NEVER for once thought that the selection of Manitoba (for which Yar Ardua and himself as Deputy iced the project) did not follow due process?

Is he truly re.tard.ed?

He instead, asked BPE... (we can still recall what Mallam El Rufai did with that BPE, selling-off Nigeria's assets and patrimony, to his cronies that formed TRANSCORP...OBJ features prominently again!!)... TO CONTINUE the "flawed?" process!

I ask again: Is he truly re.tard.ed or just very cunning and unrepentantly corrupt?

Now, after much ado about nothing, he finally SIGNED THE CONTRACT last JULY 2012!

Then in November (about 4months after!), He CANCELS THE CONTRACT he just signed!

Now, Big Question: HOW long does it take to REALIZE that a Contract which has been approved (but not signed yet) did not follow "due process"?

If it takes five years .....like it just took our dear President......

Then it seems that Question: IS he truly re.tard.ed (Or Perhaps Retarded by GREED/CORRUPTION) ....is a "No Brainer"

*I weep for this country!
*I weep for the children of today (who could have enjoyed a robust lifestyle, based on the resources our land is freely given) but must be sickly from obnoxious fumes of Power Generators!
*I weep for those who truly love this country and would like to sink their resources into developing its industrial base
*I weep even more for those that wallow in self-pity in this country!

What did Obama do.....That "some" Americans wish he be assassinated?
And here we are with someone toying with our very lives and that of our "next generation"?
huh huh huh
