Left to me personally, any case of 419 involving "Oyinbo" persin, l will jail "BOTH" the accuser and the accused............... or SET BOTH FREE!

In all cases of 419 involving "foreigners", l see that it is the GREED of this people (so called widow or pensioner) ...as against their often depicted "weakness or foolishness", that makes them fall prey to dupers!

For example, 419 has been the talk of the town since over fifteen years now, there are websites offering "advice" on how to avoid them, their are Govt Agencies to report to, there are videos exposing their antics and yet some people will still see all these things and decide to pay? WHY? huh huh

Almost on daily basis, l receive "letters" telling me l have either won a JACKPOT, A LOTTERY or that l can get one million Dollars of some dead Ministers (Even Livi Ajunoma's Billions was not left out! grin ) loot if l can send them a "little advance fee" for "clearing"! shocked shocked

I just only have to be greedy to fall prey!
I know l did not play any Lottery, why should then win a Lottery?
Why should l profit where l have not "invested" ....or is it not extreme greed that would make me decide (without anyone putting a gun to my head) to part with my money?

In the case of this guy for example.
Is there no charity in America catering for Iraq War veterans that the woman can give the money to?
What does she want with this "handsome" dark, dude? Does she want him as a Gigollo?

I can understand that his actions are criminal but so are those of the people he scammed!

They should stop "playing the Victim", they are all greedy criminals as well.

I have no pity for both of them sha.

I have daughters and the method l used is to "be their best friend from a very early age"!

Not easy but "firmness when needed" and being extremely accommodating and open with them ensures that they feel "easy" in my presence.

I smack my children a lot at around the age of "6 - 10 years" (thats when we "set" the "ground rules" in our father/child relationship).... l also endeavor to be very close to them (by constant reassurance and open display of love, giving gifts, outdoor activities together, like cycling, football, e.t.c) around that period.

E noor easy o but l can tell you It works.

Now, when l just "frown my face", they already know someone has CROSSED A RED LINE!
( over the years, l have "designed" a special type of FROWN that can even kill a Gorilla" grin grin )
I dont even need to say ANYTHING, talkless of shouting!

Its better if our kids can be our "friend" instead of being "afraid" of us,,,,,, ...cos they would outgrow that "fear" one day.... and what would you have left? huh

Siena: Thanks for being honest here. A guy saying he loves saggy, flat tobacco pouches is like a woman saying she truly loves her guy's belly somewhere scraping his kneecaps.

A husband or wife needs to take care of themselves, not just for themselves, but for their spouse. And be able to be straight with themselves, not professing to love the droopy bits that can be corrected, or at least curtailed. This is the 21st century, and the era of just letting yourself go have long gone.

@ Coogar: Thanks for your input here.
I wont allow me wife to do any b.o.o.bs job...... not to satisfy me anyway!

See, l admire well-rounded, forward-pointing bo.obs but we all should love and appreciate everything about our wife (as a person), much more than "how her bo.obs" is shaped or saluting!

That her breast sagged after childbirth is not her "mistake" .... l see it as a price she has to pay, on behalf of both of us, to have healthy children.

I will simply tell her: "Darling, even if your bo.obs dey fall reach ground, l will devise various ways to still enjoy it" ....even if l have to choke myself with it! grin grin

As a man, we will also reach an "age" when we wont be 'studs' (like we were in those days! wink ) due to aging and hard work cu.m stress of taking good care of the family;
Would you want your wife to like you less, then?
How would you feel if she insisted that you must take "Viagra" just to remain a stud that you were at 30yrs ..... for her to be satisfied of you? Mind you, the thing go give you heart attack one day!
shocked

IMO, "infatuation" gets replaced by "real love", as couples spend more years together .....and real love does not really care how you are shaped, once you are clean, tidy and healthy looking!

Okay, make l no lie, l still get "google-eyed" by well-rounded, pointy Oranges angry but l just brush it off my mind and tell myself, "you've had your fair share in the past", appreciate what you have now! shocked huh grin

She told the Fox 40 reporter: "I didn't think it would be that big of a deal. ... The assassination part is kind of harsh. I'm not saying like I would go do that or anything like that, by any means, but if it was to happen, I don't think I'd care one bit."

greatgod2012:
very right, imagine my 5yrs old boy asking his father why his p*e*n*i*s is bigger than his own
.

..And you think this is a bad thing for a "boy" to ask HIS FATHER?
huh huh

Let me allow you in on a little secret!

The whole "brouhaha viz-a-viz rampant deviancy" within the Western worlds is routed in this "independence and privacy" for Kids!
*Who are Children supposed to "see first, learn from and emulate" .....if not their parents? angry angry

*Is that Boy up there, supposed to ask his Teacher, friend or neighbor?...
.......Or is he supposed to learn by "experimenting"?

*Do you know that by asking such question of "his Dad", the boy is getting "first hand" assurance from someone he absolutely trust?
*Who should be the best "sex education teacher" for a kid, if not the parent?

*if you tell your child that "babies fall from heaven" when Daddy and Mummy are "fast asleep", how then would you convince that child not to engage in early sexscapaid?....and not fall into teen pregnancy?

Do you realize that one of the reasons "Homosexuality" is less rampant amongst we Africans is because from an early age in life, we are "exposed to both sexes" through "uninhibited interaction" with our brothers and sisters (like bathing together, sleeping on same bed/mat, wearing just about any "color" without discriminating that "pink is for girls and blue is for boys only", e.t.c, seeing our Mums and Dads dress-up in our presence and we dont develop any "sexual emotions", e.t.c)

Am not saying that children cannot have their own room but that should occur around age 13 or 14 and even then, it should be one room for "all male" and another for "all female" children!

That way, they would have developed (or develop) emotionally and would have learnt to control themselves properly, in the presence of the "opposite gender"!
I have seen some of these children who own rooms from 3years old, lock their parents out of their room, anytime they are annoyed ...and what can you do, no be you give am "independence and privacy"?
tongue

Honestly, l see a lot of 'white folks" who have never seen unclothedness in real life till they are like 18years and when it "descends" on them suddenly, they just loose all manner of self control! Rape is the next thing, if you cant control your sensual emotions, abi na lie?

As for me, all my 'male' children stay in the same room .....and the older ones will "nurture" the younger ones.
Growing up, one of the reasons l couldn't have "early sex" was because l cant bring a lady inside "our room"....my senior brothers cant also because we (all boys) use the same room!
If l had a room to myself, walahi.... kiss kiss kiss make l no talk! grin

When my children are still very young, (under 8yrs), we bath together at times but as they get more "aware", l restrict it to the male children while the females are still free to scrub Mummy's back at will, in the bath tub! grin grin

Wetin? Oginni" Kilode?

Dont you know that this "independence and privacy" comes second, but "intimacy, trust, "respect and appreciation" for each gender, family bond, closeness, "family smell" (for want of a better word! grin ) are very important and COME FIRST, when a child is growing?

Can you explain to me why an "average white adolescent" (14 - 28) would not bathe an eyelid before slapping his father or ra.pi.ng his mother ...... (and the parents are ready to drive him out, ready or not, when he is 18yrs) but you hardly see such things within our own shores? (at least it is not the norm ....and Gerrout, ...dont give me that "example" in your head, wink )

Can you tell me why it is considered "taboo" for a father to use his hands to "clean-up his female child" while we Africans can do it without even giving it a second thought? (l clean my baby daughters when they poo ....and l dont grate my teeth doing it! tongue )

The Yorubas will say "e je ka'tibi isanna kiyesi Oogun"! (let us appreciate wisdom from little things, literally translated).

How would you be able to do all these things with a "free mind" when you create that "barrier" between you and your children from a very early age?

Abeg, we may be trying to copy the white man's culture but please, let us restrict ourselves to the good aspect only!

Anyway, make l relax..... l dey come wink wink

Again, this goes to show that "Men are genetically wired to have more than one "sexual accomplice"!

Call it wife, concubine, extra-marital affairs or whatever, it all boils down to the same outcome!

I am sure, just like most men that "denigrate other men with multiple wives/sex partners", this "responsible" 4-Star General would have in the past, denigrated some other men that "have been CAUGHT" with another woman, apart from their "legal wife"!

If all the laws and opprobium associated with 'away game' has NOT stopped it ...except destroy career, lives, family and future, why are we so vehemently opposed to "an alternative reasoning"?

Does it have to do with our penchant for hypocrisy (as in some "saint men"wink and "unbridled selfishness and centered-ness" (as in most women, if not all women)?

This is a very difficult "hypothesis" am making and l dont take it lightly (so dont blow your fuse unnecessarily! grin ) but it seems the "behavior" has been with man from creation.... and it aint going away, no matter the level of "loss or punishment"!

I have a situation at hand.
I was given a quit notice by my landlord on the 20th april 2012. My rent was supposed to expire May 31st 2012. I paid yearly.
The landlord expected me to quit the house on the 31st May 2012.
Please what is your advise?

Thanks
Lawrence
Sorry Lawrence, l saw this very late,...just now!

.....ans l no be "Lawyer by qualification", by any stretch! grin
By law, the Notice can "start to take effect" immediately your Tenancy EXPIRES (in which case, the "contract" in place has expired).

broken down further, "the Notice" is a "PERIOD OF TIME" (say three months, depending on your type of Tenancy) through which you will have to look for another house and submit the Key to his house back to him.

That he gives you the notice "three months" before your Tenancy expires does not have any effect as it "does not take effect" from then.

It can only "start taking effect" when your Tenancy has expired or AFTER it has expired.

To do otherwise os to "negate" an already existing, binding legal contract.

Now, whether you are ready to "surrender tenancy" after the expiry of that "First Notice Period" is a matter of "choice and argument" by yourself and your Lawyer
.

"(4) Notice for tenants under subsection (1)(c),(d) and (e) of this section need not terminate on the anniversary of the tenancy but may terminate on or after the date of expiration of the tenancy"
It is not uncommon for Landlords to want to "inflate rent and get fresh agreement fee" by issuing quit notice to current Tenants! .....and the law is aware of this trend.

BTW, he cant give you a Months Notice when you are an "annual/ yearly Tenancy"!

The first Notice HAS TO BE 6MONTHS!

It will all boil down to how your Lawyer can "argue" this in court taking the view that "what exactly is the intention of the law with regards to Quit Notice"?

If l hold a subsisting Tenancy (a subsisting Legal Contract), can the Landlord use part of that period as his quit Notice, knowing that by Law, l am entitled to live unencumbered, during a valid Tenancy!
Does issuing a Quit Notice during that "valid Tenancy period" (if it is to take effect during that period) not translate to encumbering the Tenancy?

How would the 'law' view that situation and interpret it wrt "

"(4) Notice for tenants under subsection (1)(c),(d) and (e) of this section"?

Cheers,

Joey82: the whole thing about marriage is complicated,
the more we know the less its working out.
sometimes i wonder, our parents didnt know half of what we know now
didnt date as much as we do now
didnt attend any marriage courses,
yet it all worked out better for them than it is working now.
i think we all need to work on our tolerance, that's the only ingredient that can make marriage work IMO.
Thank you Sir!

Well, our parents NEVER "think" the way we think today!

For example,
*our parents respected the "marriage arrangement" where the father is the HEAD of the family!

*Our parents never required our Momma to work fulltime to support Daddy, compulsorily!

*Our parents never had FaceBook to cheat over their spouse using E-s.ex!

*Our parents dont open their legs for any man that can "change their wardrobe and buy them a Blackberry Curve"! shocked

*Our Mothers dont throw their husbands out, over the slightest marital disagreement as has become the norm today (especially in the Western World)

*Our parents WERE NOT AFRAID TO DISCIPLINE THEIR CHILDREN.... for fear the children would dial 911..and parents get jail-time!
*Our married parents dont live in fear of one another, as spouse do nowadays, pretending all is well!

*Our parents never said "for better for worse, till death do us apart" while already "planning for a divorce and how much of the wealth they would get"!

*Our parents looked up to their own parents for guidance when the marriage gets troubled but what would a "single parent" who broke the family up, teach his/her own child, in such situation? U cant give what you dont have!!

*Our parents did not get carried-away by all these "Women's Right" nonsense! ...that create a "bigger irreparable rift" when husband and wife running into marital troubles!

*Our parents never got to the point where all "Mummy wants is child support payments from Daddy"... but does not want "Daddy in the life of the children"!

*Our parents, even when they fight (and they fight loads! wink ), knew that the family being together under ONE ROOF is sacrosanct! They would endure anything, for the sake of the children, to keep family intact!

*Our parents dont "plan and scheme" the way we do nowadays, just to prove that we are "educated and enlightened"!

*Even when "Daddy looses insanity" once in a while, the opportunity to "make-up" by begging Mummy (in a non-humiliating way) is always there to be availed of. Unlike now when any small madness results in the "One T-Shirt & Jeans" treatment!
shocked

I can go on and on about how we have ruined that thing called marriage so much so that it is no longer attractive and is actually the worst decision anyone can make now!

We can still bring back the love and go back to our old ways .... if that is what we want
..But as for "Marriage Counseling" nowadays, they'll probably handout a leaflet about "How to make more money out of your break-up", to the marrying couples! shocked shocked grin

Its sad what we have turned this world into.

How will "intelligence" produce result when you dont have you own "insider" speaking the language?

These are some of the lessons that were "learned" in Iraq, Afghanistan, e.t.c

At least now we know them, we can keep a better eye on them!

Jotonio: Well we are not saying that they should not go for a DNA test, its just annoying when a man announces that "woman I don't trust you" so I am going to find out the truth. What ever happened to secret mission?
Ơ̴̴͡.̮Ơ̴̴̴͡? Goo and do it,it must be true or false but before annoucing it do it secretly first!
Well, it SHOULD NOT BE DONE SECRETLY!

What is the point of the "secrecy' sef?
its either its false (and she has explanations big time!) or its true (and all is well with the family)

Even more important, DNA tests work on the supposition that "for POSITIVE IDENTIFICATION", the child's DNA MUST comprise of Chromatic materials from "Daddy and Mummy" ONLY!

So, you need to match the kids DNA to a pool of DNA from Daddy and Mummy.

How then does Daddy do it "secretly" without telling Mummy to provide DNA material?

To do it clandestinely (like collecting her material during sex!) may actually be more offensive to her.

Actually, l think its the women that should champion this test as it helps them show the man that "away match" did not result in any babies! wink wink wink
Though it does not exclude away matches all the same......just the babies angle! Just that. grin grin

Wahala sit down jeje now, you say "e beautiful wella wella" ....okay o, l don talk my own!

Growing up (my teens) my friends and l did some research and came out with an "hypothesis" which we christened "Deebee hypothesis" (in simple Grammar, it means "reach there"wink.

We postulated that "Once Deebee, ALWAYS Deebee" (For my Turanshi brothers, l will translate: "Once you reach there, you will ALWAYS reach there"wink

May the Good Lord forgive us, we were badt, very very badt, in those days!

It means that "once a guy has 'reached there' with a lady, He will always 'reach there' any time any day he wants"!

The data that we collected and analysed over our "Youth Years" proved our hypothesis to be correct and reliable to 99.99% confidence level! Walahi!

That "Corper" has "Deebee" and whether your friend marry her or not, He can and He will ALWAYS Deebeee!

pro01: Only a dubious woman demands trust from her husband or partner. A genuinely virtuous woman earns it. . .and strives to retain it - simply by keeping her hands clean and her path straight. You don't insist on keeping male 'friends' or going on 'business trips' with your randy boss, and yet expect a sensible husband to trust you.

Any sensible man would NEVER trust any human being (let alone a woman) 100%. That's pure foolishness. If there are sufficient grounds for suspicion, then by all means a man must conduct a paternity test to clear all doubts. A truly good woman wouldn't get angry with her husband for doing that. She would get angry with herself for not doing enough to earn his trust.

Only sneaky, slimy, deceitful women (and they are in the majority) would make foolish noise or threaten divorce (you can imagine) when their serial unfaithfulness is under suspicion.
I just need to QUOTE this again!

+1000 Gboosa for you!
If your husband did the DNA test of the kids, no shaking,
he is just confirming and re-affirming his trust in you....
If the trust was 75% before, now its gonna jump up to 99%! kiss kiss

Otherwise, Yaawa go gazz o! shocked shocked angry angry

Divorce sef no go solve this one!

Zeus I: That is exactly how the Israelites where hated and scorned till date, and do you mind telling me what the fate of their enemies are? Relax dude, you are already our slaves.wink
Holy Moses!

IGBO = ISRAELITES?
huh huh

What are you people smoking? Lemon Grass?

Okay, tell me the similarities!
At least the Israelites, we know!

Or do you mean the Jews that live within "geographical Israel"?

They dont believe in the Bible, they have their own "Torah' that they read!
They did not accept Christ as the son of God ...l wonder who their savior is!
Even Jesus himself condemned the "Jews", they eventiually murdered him, right?

But then, that is those murderous Jews, the only country in the world still practicing APARTHEID...in 2012!

Now, where in the Bible did Jesus mention Igbos? grin grin
Where in the lineage of Jesus, did Igbos appear? huh huh

Maybe you share the same "murderous tendency" but then, the Israelis are smarter, by a million miles!

*They dont go whining and crying, expecting the Arabs to give their Soldiers "Ice-cream"! grin grin grin
*They dont go about pointing fingers at everybody, they know when to shut-up and choose an ally! Even with Egypt!
*They know when to play dumb like they are "weaker" even when they are stronger.
*Never is "Gra-Gra", part of their game-plan!

okay, now l see that Yiibo = Israel! grin grin grin
(Rolls on the floor and breaks a plate of Moin-moin!) grin grin

You guys have a serious "identity crisis"!
You once called yourself Ethiopians, then you became Germans and now you are Israelis! Holy Josh! What will you be tomorrow? Japanese or Chinese?

Wake-up and stop day dreaming!
Nothing do you but please, just be yourself and stop this "self hate"! wink

lucenzo: One thing I've noticed about my Yoruba brothers is that they are cowards.

AWOLOWO. He was always waiting for someone to do something for him, typical of a Yoruba man. The 1966 coup was meant to swear him in as the new president. The coup failed, so he denied ever knowing of such a plot. He traded sides with Fulanis against the igbos during  the war, so that he could be installed as president after the war. Murtala's death gave him further hope of being a president, afterall, his kins man (OBASANJO) was the head of state. obasanjo did not hand over to him and that was the best chance he had at been a president before taking his life  outof frustration. ( he drank otapiapia)
It takes a real man to admit his failure ...and pay the ultimate price for it!

The legendary Japanese warriors call it "harakiri"!
You commit a blunder, you put your life on the line and fall on your sword.

If truly Awo committed suicide as you said, He is a "real warrior" of the Japanese parallel.
BETTER TO DIE THAN TO BE RIDICULED.

Now compare him to that Rabbit who ran away when his people were being slaughtered!
He could not even look Awo in the face!
Only to re-emerge when he knew the war has ended! Bloody "deserter" angry angry
And he calls himself a "military man"?

SHAME ON OJUKWU, THE RABBIT!

if this is how Biafran Armies look like (Fight and run-away),
Then Yorubas are real COWARDS! grin grin grin

No wonder they got slaughtered like Chickens at Oore ... by the same Yorubas!

Ojukwu and all Biafrans need to take lectures from "The Scorpion" Adekunle(Any thing move, l shoot it down! grin )

Abeg, that name "Ojukwu" would forever remain a disgrace, wherever "real men" are mentioned.

Ojukwu the Run-away leader, expecting Awo to feed his soldiers with ice-cream... in his absence!!! shocked shocked

These Igbo peeps are just a confused set of people who dont know their enemy, dont know what they want, dont know how to go about it, dont know how to control their mouth, dont know where they came from, dont know where they are going, have no idea what "suicide' is and dont know what self delusion entails! huh huh

In short, they are LOST! sad sad

They deserve pity (which is what all these whining of theirs is all about grin ) but they dont even know how to getthe pity!

All hail "Lagos" the capital of Biafra! grin grin
As long as "Obioma" is ready to be our "London Tailor and gatemen in Lagos.

manchy7531: Ye right! What a hogwash? Awo acknowledged the wrong against the ibos by the North. Yet he joined the North to sustain the wrong-doings 9 massacres and genocide) for a nation he called a geographical expression! If he knew all this thing why did he join Northern-led Nigerian government who took power all to dominate Nigeria? Why did he not reject Gowon's appointment and allow North and East to fight it out? Why did he not insist on Aburi Accord which would have addressed his statement that Nigeria was a "mere geographical expression"....

I just wonder why people like you bury your head in the sand, like an Ostrich?
For the sake of others, Awo..... and the entire South/West was "NEUTRAL" about the war (which was mainly and initially between Igbos and Huasa, as you pointed out) ....UNTIL Ojukwu, in his "foolish wisdom" decided to direct his attack towards Awo's kingdom!

Ask your self: What was Ojukwu looking for, that he attacked the South and Mid- West?(Ijaw, Benin, Itshekiri kingdoms?)
Where they part of his Biafra? Did those people attack him first? Where they in hi spart of defending Biafra or attacking the North?

Again, ask yourself: Why did Ojukwu (that guy must be high on Lemon Grass!) attack the Yoruba lands?
Was Ondo, Oore downwards, part of Biafra?
If you wanted the West to keep out of a war and remain neutral, is it not the highest height of stewpidity, to then go and ransack their communities .....and expect them to just let you run roughshod over them?

Ojukwu must miscalculated (just like most Igbo are doing even today) that Yorubas are cowards and he can just overrun their territory!

What would Ojukwu himself do, if he was in Awo's position and Yorubas overrun Owerri and Onitsha?
He will raise his hands in the air and offer them ice-cream, right?

Put mildly, Ojukwu was "strategically foolish and tactically naive" to try and open two war fronts (Northern and Western) at the same time! Who the heck does that Bin Laden look-alike think he is?

manchy7531: During the genocide awolowo called for total blockade of Biafra. He and Edwin Clark forced Gowon to use hunger and starvation to starve all Igbo children to death. Awolowo ordered his brother Colonel Adekunle to shoot down a Red Cross cargo plane carrying medicine at Eket near Calabar. The world was shocked by that mayhem which prompted Harod Wilson of Britain to undertake a PR mission because the war was about to turn against Nigeria for their atrocities. After the daily shooting war Awo dispossessed Igbo of money. He banned the importation of used clothes which Igbo people traded on to survive. He closed all western universities against Igbo students. The chancellor of Lagos university defied him and admitted qualified Igbo students. Where do I stop to enumerate the injustices meted on Igbo race?
Stop whining like a baby!
Whether you like it or not, Awo as a strategist, is not in the league of Ojukwu, by a million miles!
If Ojukwu was the best you guys can produce, then l pity your future!
He foolishly led you into war .. and ran away like a thief, when the heat was on!

Real "leaders", Real "Generals", dont run away from their Army!
They will rather die in battle of "Fall on their Sword" like a real man!
But Ojukwu scampered-off like A Rabbit! ... left all of your parents to die like rats
(and that is your hero!) shocked shocked

manchy7531: it takes discerning or like minds to decipher what/how great minds reason? See below glimpses of Ikemba's person
*At 13, he slapped a colonial tutor for insulting a junior worker- A yoruba woman
* During Nzeogwu's revolution/coup (always mistaken as Igbo coup),he wasnt involved and played a major role to counter it and also encouraged the coupist to surrender
* His issue with Gowon and the counter coup led by TY Danjuma, Murtala Mohammed and co that toppled Aguiyi Ironsi- (An Igbo man )was professional
I see, he has been a truant from age 13!
No wonder he foolishly believed he could win a Nigerian Army with his rag-tag Biafran army!
Whether we like it or not, for running away from the war front when his soldiers were dying for his "gra-gra", he deserved to be shot on capture.

Even Awo, who was a civilian, did not run away when things got tough!
This same Ojukwu stabbed his Igbo Brother (Nzeogwu) in the back and countered a coup that would have made the Biafran war (and the death of over 3million Igbos) unnecessary!
Ofcourse, he has to be "the one" that liberated the Igbo! Not Nzeogwu!
Some egocentric fool he was.
