Ogoni militant: If you have problem with Biafra go and settle it with thema. Am not biafra niether am I Ladipo mkt here.
I don't have any stake in the two.

Am talking about your tribe to stand for your Republic of Oduduwa. Lagos has been invaded you don't have control over lagos economically, politically yes for now but the way things are going you are going to loose that and you are not worried.

We talking about republic of Niger Delta here which an Ogini man will be the first president.

Fight for your own republic.
Jeezuz lord of mercy!
I thought you and your ilk say you are "Delta Igbo", "Rivers Igbo", "Ogooni Igbo", e.t.c? huh huh shocked

I thought you agreed that you will be the "Minority tribe, nay new "Igbo colony" in the future Biafra?

If l recall, you even voted in the last "Eze ndigbo elections" as an "inferior Igbo"?
shocked

How can you now come out and say "Ogooni land does not belong to... in Biafra" or you dont care about Biafra?

You see, during the last Biafran war, the Igbos "colonized you", looted your banks, killed your tribal leaders ...
... and would do it AGAIN!

If you think you are "equal" with an "Anambra man" in BIAFRA republic, you need to think twice!

Thank God for the Yorubas that liberated you from the "oppressive yoke" of Biafra! ...The same Yoruba that you abuse now!

Was it not the Yorubas mainly (NADECO, Afeniferere, OPC, e.t.c) that fought IBB veraciously for killing Ken Saro Wiwa?
Do you know how many of our son's blood was spilled for the killing of Saro Wiwa? ...even though he is not related directly, to us?
Did we not fight Abacha to a standstill?

The worst problem any human can have, is NOT TO BE ABLE TO IDENTIFY HIS OR HER ENEMY!
grin grin
Amnesia is not an excuse!

We dont have a problem with any nationality going their way BUT we "advice" that they engage their brain first, before declaring a war!
War is NOT Moin-Moin!

felifeli: Amen for you too. Vagabond tribe. Tribe that has been cursed to be hated by the entire world. Better go find deliverance from the evil juju that is pursuing you all over the place. Of course your Biafra soldiers were coming to Lagos to give our children ice cream. Bloody murderers. You want to start killing people everywhere but when you get a taste of your own medicine you begin to cry like monkey. Buffoon.
It never ceases to amaze me when "Igbos" talk about the war!
They always refer to "3milliom women and children"!

And l ask: was it "women and children" that invaded and killed millions of innocent civilians in the Mid-western kingdoms (Benin, Port Harcourt and other South Eastern states)? Those are "Biafran millitary men"

Was it "women and children" that invaded western kingdoms, as far as Oore town? Those are "Biafran millitary men"

They should stop whining and being hypocritical!

"War" (like they want to start again this time) is NOT MOIN MOIN!

War is brutal and evil! Very ugly things happen during a war!

WAR IS ABOUT SURVIVAL OF "THE SMARTEST"!
Unfortunately, "BIAFRA" was not smart..... and did not survive that war!

If it happens again, l can assure you that nothing would have changed!
Nothing in terms of casualties, has changed since the days of the Biblical Wars,...

The "smart thing" to do is not to engage in war, if you can "discuss:, especially if you are not that smart to win the war!

But if you are foolish enough to engage in war... and then get your ar.se whipped, stop whining and moaning for five decades! Just learn your lessons and move on! wink wink

All these "Yoruba is our enemy huh, Hausa is our nemesis shocked, three million children and women were killed undecided, Awolowo did not give us ice-cream grin, they gave us twenty "Nigerian" Pounds in exchange for a worthless "Biafran" money wink, they did not allow us to "uproot" our houses back to Biafra shocked, e.t.c" .........are just rantings of a confused bunch!

Wake up and smell the coffee please. The war is over ...almost fifty years ago!

Politics › Re: Eze Ndi Igbo Election 2012 - And the winner is ... by lastpage:
PointB: I think you blew the comments out of proportion, with all those gloating. Without the Igbos this site will be trash and Seun knows that. So the gloating is really out of place, and least expected of someone like you. Quit it already!

And by the way if you were truly observant, you would have notice Balkan say he was 15 year at the start of the civil war. Yoruba culture demands more of you, than your uncomplimentary remarks!
PointB,
I would not be the first person, nor the last (even amongst Igbo) to tell you that you are immature, "power-drunk" and full of self delusion!

I will think that a supposedly matured person will be intelligent enough to do a simple "cause and effect" or "Action and Reaction" analysis before making any comment but as your usual self, the only thing you see in "Any Post" by a non-Igbo, is tribalism and insults!

Are you this dunce, in real life?

Someone first insulted all Yorubas, despite the fact that throughout the election, some asinine Eediots have made it their "daily meal" to take "jibes" at Yorubas.

I even made a "humor" out of it, by adopting the same derogatory phrase as a "title" (Yoruba Gburugburu!)

In all, l kept quiet just not to derail the thread so that the election could remain on focus.

YOU DID NOT SEE ALL THIS, right? What a bloody hypocrite you are! huh

Even you, had displayed your arrogance and excessive pride throughout the thread.
You have refused to listen to "reason and logic" on the issue of Okija-Juju.
Like a "power-drunk dictator", you refused the entreaties of well-meaning Igbo sons, trying to play Tin-god on the E-political aspiration of another Igbo son.

Even when Okija-juju magnanimously "left your intransigence" to higher powers and accepted/congratulated the New Eze, you lack the candor to appreciate that!

Instead, Like an uncultured being, you went ahead to further denigrate and insult him, to "rub it in and rub it in his face"! On any day, you are not even a tenth of his level of intelligence and pragmatism (irrespective of whether l like him or not...but l dont! wink )

You think because today, you were made the electoral Commissioner, you have become some "important folk", right? grin

Again, your "pride and sheer arrogance" manifested itself when you accepted that the election's credibility is in doubt if E-voting could not be used but you lacked the "grace and wisdom" to approach the person by whose "large heart", you are even given a "presence" on the net, to conduct an "Eze Ndigbo of Nairaland"!

How can you be that daft?

Pride goes before a fall, as it is said.
You cannot convince anyone (except for Otinkmpus like yourself) that the result you declared is "publicly verified"...that there was no multiple voting..., that you did not annul the vote of some candidates, to favor another..,,,THINGS THAT COULD HAVE BEEN PROVED "BEYOND DOUBT", IF E-VOTING WAS USED!

But a fool like you, will "cut-off his own nose, to spite his own face", asas you have displayed during this election.

All l did in my post, which a fish-brain like yourself called "gloating" .....is to point out that those imbeciles, if they have any shame at all, would not "pass a general insult at Yorubas", knwoing that you are on a Website "fully owned and controlled" by an illustrious Yoruba son.

That is NOT gloating, it is STATING THE FACT!

It takes shameless folks like you, people without an iota of decency, to behave like that....biting the finger that fed you!

Like l said before, l am retraining myself from saying things which may offend other sensible Igbos.
"A stone thrown in the market place, may his a family member"

Please take a cue from what Ifyalways wrote on the previous page!
That is how "matured people" talk!

You have a lot to learn and a long way to go but l hope self-conceitedness and arrogance of the heart would not be your "achiles heel".

By the way, you said "Balkan said he was fifteen when the war took place". Fair enough!
The more reason l expect him to "utter wisdom", not some gobshyte!
What has he learned all his years on earth? tribalism and insults?
What does he teach his children? Same shyte, right? From one generation to another! shocked

My own first son, sired from my seeds, will graduate as a Medical Doctor within months from today!

I take "Nairaland' as an "alternative recreation" and all this una Gra-Gra, no be am!

PointB, most times, you are better served to shut your mouth than to utter foolishness!
You demonstrate the proverbial "mad man dancing in the market square! Seeing all the "onlookers", he exclaimed: my show must be the best in town, see as people plenty!" grin grin grin grin

Am sure if some of us were not present to keep almost all the Igbos united to forge a common front against perceived enemies on the thread..they probably would have turned against one another and throw the whole process into the mud.

In a way..out constant presence helped them and they should be grateful.
Thank you "ilugunboy"
Both of them have been passing insult and snide comments at me, during the election but l chose to ignore them, since l dont want to say anything that will further heat-up the polity or cause derailment of the thread!

Hehehe, l dont like to "generalize" but l am sure that not a few of your own people will be taken aback by this sheer display of "limitless stupidity" ...as evidenced in this your post!

I was hoping that "an intelligent" tribal champ like you would have the decency and courage to feck-off Nairaland afterall it is "the same people that make you sick", that owns it?
Ai'tete M'ole, Ole nmo'loko! Just imagine?

But like a "Dog that keeps going back to its vomit", you insult the lineage of the people that owns what you benefit from? ...and you keep coming back?
Is there another or better definition for INGRATE, than this?

I am really struggling to "hold back words" because l dont want to offend "reasonable Igbos" around here (we welcome them just as Lagos and the whole Yoruba states welcomes them) and l am hoping they would call you to order and put a "leash" on your neck! wink wink

If and when you are sensible enough, if and when you have the "wisdom and knowledge" (like a decade ago when 'Seun' conceived this idea!), if and when you have the 'cranial ability' to set your priorities right and commit resources to something like this, if and when you have the doggedness and temerity to make it flourish (instead of chasing fake Drugs about).....

IF AND WHEN.....

Then CREATE YOURS tongue tongue and when Yorubas come there, please tell them "they are stalking and trolling you" but right now, you are just like one "shameless Thief accusing the owner of the wares, of Negligence"! shocked shocked

Did it not occur to you that all 'OluwaSeun' has to do is "take the site offline" and all these your "Gra-Gra" would just fade into thin air?
huh grin

For reasons l am yet to decipher, did it occur to you that "Seun' could or could have not "released" the "E-voting button" on Nairaland ...and you could do 'nadder' about it?
Pride they say, goes before a fall.

The day will come when you will realize that "Aju'ni lo, bii ti'ja koo"! The hard evidenc is there for all to see! grin
You should thank Yorubas for producing an illustrious son who by his actions, gave loads of you bigots, "a life on the web/internet" wink shocked

It is empty vessels like you that sow discord between people/races with your pompous, arrogant and uncouth yarnings!
An election has just been conducted and every one is congratulating the winners and trying to "build bridges" yet, to "appear present", you open your mouth and utter filth?

*Did they not see you there...why did they not nominate any of you two rascals, for Eze?
*Is it not instructive to "observe" that though the new Eze might be "young in days", his "inaugural speech" oozes wisdom!
*Did you not notice that throughout the "bric-brak" of the candidate nomination, he never uttered a word! he never condemned Okija, he never joined the fray of insults but kept a "dignified" silence and allowed the process to run its course!

If you think by being very insulting, unnecessarily insulting or thinking with your anus, that you will ever be nominated for "Eze Ndigbo of Nairaland", in future, then you must have "mis-interpreted" the rules!
grin

From whatever angle one looks at it, "It is and will always be disgusting, to "bite the finger that fed you"!

Yorubas OWN Nairaland (by virtue of our own son, SEUN). If you cant cop that, BUG-OFF please! Go build your own site!

It is our own and we will feel free to offer our opinions and suggestions, whenever we like.
We are too large hearted and "too evolved" to engage in childish charades!
To us, it is "funny" and its is "fun" ....BUT, "yiyoo Ekun, bi to'jo koo"

ujchief: I take this as a formal appeal against the candidacy of one of the contestants. I'v reviewed the case presented by mr. Globe against a contestant for eze nwanyi. Although he has a valid case as stipulated in a section of the election guidline, it lacks merit.
Let me refer to the case Onyema Ugochukwu (PDP, Abia) vs T.A. Orji (PPA, Abia). After the 2007 gubernetorial election, when orji had been declared winner, Onyema challanged the candidacy of T.a orji based on the fact that he (orji) did not resign his previous apointment as the state's chief of staff under the previous administration. The election tribunal based its judgement on this true fact and nullified orji's election, declaring Onyema winner.
Upon appeal by Orji, the appealant court made it clear that Onyema should have filed against orji's candidacy b4 the election, not after the election. Based on this, the appealant court over-ruled the tribunal and
My verdict: you should have challanged the candidacy of the contestant at the nomination thread, not at this election thread. Its true u claimed u werent aware of such quotes by her except when someone else brought them up, but ignorance of the law is not an excuse.
Therefore, Ogugua remains a bonafide contestant, and all votes for her remains valid.
Mr. Globe, u're a good nwa afo igbo, and i urge u to maintain ur vigilant eye on any person or group of persons that may not mean well for the unity of umu igbo.
This is my verdit. Other members of the tribunal can make their submission and/or stand by this.
As an "independent Observer" (and l have nothing to do with who wins or lost or who is allowed or not on this) l just want to point out the difference in the case you "sited" (and used to justify the your decision) and the current situation on ground.
Note that: "The Challenge" been brought now is NOT AFTER the election!
, as in the case of Orji. We cannot compare "Apples and Oranges"!

The election is "still on-going" and "No result or No one" has yet been declared winner"!

In other words, "i observe" that the challenge and its "timing" is still within the stipulated time-frame.

Let me point out that my own "contribution" is only "observatory in nature".
I do not purport to be a part of the process.

Cheers.

Anyway we know that u guys re waiting for the north to take over again so u continue taking Nigeria backwards shameless people

People like you "dont get it at all"!

Look at it this way
:
1.) No one tribe can "win the Presidency" all by its own people's vote. You need the votes from another region.

2.) Events in the recent past has shown that the "North" is sworn NEVER to allow an Igbo to lead this country!

3.) The North would rather collaborate with the Yorubas (in a situation where they cant occupy Aso Rock) to make a Yoruba President, than do same with an Igbo man.

Thus, the ONLY CHANCE an "Igbo" has of becoming Nigeria's President, is to court the Yorubas for their votes!

Not even "Guns" can cut it 'cos, we all canbear "arms" if need be! It may just be another rehash of 1967, God forbid sha
grin grin

I know simple things ain't that obvious ...... and "obvious things ain't that simple" but the earlier the better my Igbo friends see this, the quicker we can work together!

A wise person does not "cut-off his own Nose, just to spite his Face", for Gawd's sake!

If this Dr. Nwaezeigwe where to be a Nairalander, Ndi Igbo will:

1.) Accuse him of Anti-Igbo activities!
2.) "LABEL HIM" as another "OKIJA JUJU"
3.) Ban him from all "political aspirations" like becoming the "Eze Ndigbo of Nairaland"! grin

For those who abused him for consulting "Fasheun" (refering to Globe and Igwe), did it not occur to you all that "Igbo" or any other Nigerian tribe CANNOT all by itself, do anything without the support of at least one other major tribe?

I have said these in many of my post, including recently on the "Eze Ndigbo Nairaland election" thread around the 48th page or so. wink

The "Dr." is a smart man and he is trying to "build bridges" across tribal divide, which he hopes would pay dividend at the right time in future! And by "anything", l mean "Presidency, Secession, just name it"

I am hoping the new "to be elected Eze Nairaland" will learn from this, something that fine Igbo lady "Ogugua88" also highlighted.

Cheers,

Onlytruth: Finally, it is my humble opinion that I should not continue in office after December 31, 2012. We promised ONE year term (sic: in the rules)for each Eze; we should stick to that
manny4life: Why are you bent on enabling chaos? huh huh

I clearly identified that as "HIS HUMBLE OPINION" nonetheless, the rule still overrides because as an incumbent, he's NOT contesting, BUT automatically qualified to run by the election rules.
By virtue of "Observation" and as the "internationally recognized and properly accredited Onyebeeke Observer" grin to this election, l am wondering if those two quotes above are at variance with each other?

1.)If the rule says (as quoted by the Eze himself): One year term for each Eze, one year should mean one year, right?

2.) If the rule says "One term" for each Eze, that should mean 'One Term', i.e No Second Term! Am l correct?

Thus, "One year term" for each Eze seems correct, as the Eze said.

3.) What is the difference between "contesting" and "running for elections"?
I dont want to claim knowledge of "grammar" but l have done enough "English" in real life to "OBSERVE" that the two, mean the same thing, for all intent and purposes! huh huh

When you 'contest for' an "elective Post" (Eze in this case), it also means you are 'standing for' or 'running as a candidate', in an election (again, Eze, in this case!)

Did the rule changed at anytime, along the line?

It is not my place to "challenge, dispute or disqualify any candidate"
.... my duty is TO OBSERVE AND REPORT "seemingly" anomalys/fudges and to point them out to those who have the power and authority, to examine and take further action that improves, increases and ensures the "credibility of the electoral process"!

Over to you, honorable Commissioner Sir!

I have to update the international community ASAP! grin wink

BTW: Some comments here (with regards to how some Ndigbo "feel and regard other Nigerian Tribes"wink, are beginning to worry the "international community"! We wonder if the "hatred" is this "deep-seated" as those posts portray or whether this is just semantics incorporated? The United Nations urges "peace and brotherhood" amongst all Nigerian Nationalities, going forward.

PointB: @Lastpage, the observer.

The Electoral Team have done a lot to ensure credibility and transparency of the process, as you can see. Well known 'Ofenmanu' as you put it are wasting their time voting - whether for legible or illegible candidates. Our people have been enjoined to be at their vigilant best to help us identify these infiltrators for justice to be served.

Thank you for observing
Thank you Chief! May you wax stronger!

I am astonished at your comment about well-known "ofemannus" trying to vote in an "entirely Ndi Igbo" election?
Except l am not current, "Yoruba" is a derogatory term Igbos use for Yoruba people or am l missing something?

Reminds me of when that "Lady" in Stock Exchange went to buy "Ankara Materials and printed it with Obama's pix", for people to wear (in Nigeria!) during the run-up to the U.S Presidential election in 2008!
Wetin concern "Agbero" with "overload"?

Anyway, I have "observed" not just a few voters, who have said here-in: "I vote for Candidate "A", using one i.d. and it goes on like that!
Have they voted before? Would they vote again anonymously, using another "i.d."?

This "Option A914"! shocked has got me worried about the issue of bonafide Igbo sons and daughters with "multiple i.d's", as you yourself have alluded to, in one of your previous posts.
Mr 'A' = Mr 'B' = Mrs 'C'! This is not news!

Would you be kind enough to "expatiate in detail", what steps have been taken and put into action to thwart such inglorious attemptsto bastardize the electoral process and undermine its credibility)

As an "Observer for the entire international community", l can assure you that the whole world is watching with abated breath and l am fully committed to show the world that your election processes have been verified to the highest level of standards available anywhere in the world and is worthy of being patented for future generations!

Of course, at a "small fee"! grin

In other that nations from all corners of the world might not get confused, l will like you to address a seemingly alarming development:
"Eze OnlyTruth" has indicated that he is NOT RUNNING in this election. Has that changed? I recall the issue was highlighted earlier when "High Priest Okija-juju" was disqualified and it was pointed out that "Maazi Odumchi" will be returned unopposed, "by default" .

I have "observed" that people are voting for "Eze OnlyTruth"! Are these votes valid, since he says he is NOT RUNNING?

I await your kind response!

Lastpage!

While l will like to keep quiet on this, l cannot deny that l have observed the use of "very vitriolic language" in the course of this election! All parties are advised to "sheath their sword and come to the triangular table". The United Nation is monitoring the situation "closely" should it degenerate further.

I am still "observing"!

..and for those of you who still continue to denigrate "Yoruba" as "strangers" on this thread, this particular "Yoruba" is properly accredited to cover this election as an "Observer"!
I remain in your face! ...just to ensure that election is free and fair!

Wetin you do your brother Okija-juju ...still, na your brother sha, ewo lokanmi mbe? huh huh

BTW: What process has been put in place (foolproof) to ensure some votes are not from monikers?
Are we using "guesswork" or is there a scientifically proven way to weed out "multiple voting"?

I am awaiting "definitive responses" from those in INEC!
