This is not the "Lastpage" of this thread!

A beg fire on, l am having a laugh! grin grin grin

Lastpage! wink

BTW: How is it possible and acceptable (generally speaking now), that l can "consciously and intentionally do evil" unto others (like steal people's sweat, rob them of their happiness, ruin their lives, e.t.c) and get some benefit for myself from these things (like using someones child to make money ritual), only for me to go to church and declare that I AM BORN AGAIN, OLD THINGS HAVE PASSED THEREFORE, I AM NOT LIABLE?

Na so e easy? Just declare it and you are exonerated and free?
What about the victims who are still suffering from such callous acts?
Can they also declare the pains and loss to disappear and it will?

Just wondering o! shocked shocked

The latest Samsumg Notepad is like an amalgamation of an Ipad and a smart phone.
It does everything "The Pad" does (including size of screen) and everything a smart phone like the Galaxy Nexus or SII does!
It i now "integrated" as we say!

If l can lay my hands on the "link", l will post it for you to see and read-up yourself!

Be sure one Pastor will be using it as l type this.

No need to argue sensibly with these gays, including the "closet" ones!
They will spew any rubbish, to justify their selfish perversion!

Imagine one even saying that "being GAY" is INBORN and its not a matter of choice? huh huh

A JSS3 (junior secondary) school lad can explain to you how humans are formed, how an embryo takes its "gender" (male or female) from the chromosomes contributed by both parents and medical science has explained how "hormonal deficiencies" can be corrected (if that were to be the case in extreme circumstance) yet, these ar.se sucking gays still want to pull wool over our eyes! shocked shocked

Inborn my big toe! grin I guess being an armed robber, a rapist, a child molester, kidnapper are all INBORN as well?

Any criminal can now claim their selfishness-induced perversion is INBORN and as such, "blame it on the rain" grin grin

Wonders shall never end when it comes to these ar.se diggers!

2buff: lets just settle with the fact that you've never read a bible from a (proper wide-screen)phone or an ipad.
You've never had the convenience of being able to read your bible from a device during a long bus drive or commute without carrying a bulky book-bible around.
Never had the ability of checking other versions of the bible to compare interpretation and enhance understanding (man do I love that amplified version) without carrying 2+ heavy book bibles around with you at all times.
The ability to easily bookmark and create your own notes without carrying pen and paper around, and have those notes easily accessible wherever you are.

It's okay. You do want this experience, but possibly haven't had the means to experience it yet.
What you should then do is Pray that you get the means, and leave it at that, instead of condemning it.
The highlighted above refers:
Man, l love your post so much!
If not anything, the above highlighted is enough reason for anyone who is serious about the word of God, to get one of those smart gadgets with a Bible App installed.
I looked at my "Book-Bible" a few minutes ago and realized that every available space (back and front) had been used at one time or the other, to make notes, bookmarks of verses worth remembering, make annotations and further explanations!

But all those are now easily achieved with my "Digital Bible" (Am lovin it!)and l can only pray l dont misplace it or get it stolen (that would be a nightmare though l've learnt to make a backup of my important data).
BTW, l've had the same Book Bible for over twenty five years now and have had to "re-upholster" the back cover a few times! grin
I guess am not the only one?

This is one of those occasions when Technology has added "real value" to our lives, positively!

If Pastors buy private Jets for themselves, you will hear "its for propagation of the Gospel" but if a member uses an I-Phone to read his Bible, you will hear "He is trying to show-off or embarrass the church"! shocked shocked

When are we going to stop idolizing Pastors? Dem be human beings like us, dem no be spirit o! grin

Should one carry all those "Versions of the Bible" (about six!) to church rather than carry a nifty gadget that has all the versions in it? Haaba, wetin sef?

The Pastor of my own church first saw the I-Pad with another brother-member during his "talk" one week day and he admired it for the convenience and the ease it delivered during the talk and he expressed interest in buying one for himself.

Well, by next Sunday, even those that dont own one, bought one for him! Fair enough, its their money.
Now, would such MOG be in a position to condemn others for using something that he knew was beneficial to the Gospel? I dont think so.

@Op, l think you should have "schooled" that over-bearing and over-righteous "Church leader" that chastised you.
If l were in your shoes, l would have asked him/her to show me and tell me, "How reading the Bible from my phone has damaged the Gospel".

May be she/he does not have one and is intimidated that "an ORDINARY FLOOR MEMBER" is championing such advancement! grin grin

What is her business sef? or did the message differ from that one on Paper-Bible?
Mtschew, ewuuu nonsense! grin

Lastpage!

BTW: I intend to "propose it in church" that our Pastor deliver "his message" to us in our various homes, via Video Streaming over broadband! Why should everyone waste "resources" (time, energy, fuel, road risk,e.t.c) to get "something" (preaching) they can equally get "easier, cheaper, better and we can even record it so we can "replay" it all night and day! Okay, "contributions like Tithe and Offering" can be tricky in that case! grin

But hey, we an also do "online Tithe/offerings" from our various bank account! Nothing to worry about Pastor, the monneey go complete! shocked
Imagine how it will be if everyone that watched football had to go to the stadium for every match, instead of watching it on TV?
O'dikwa risky, dis my proposition!

pazienza: There is no difference between a racist and a homophobe, both of them have a fixed idea of what a human being should be, and anybody that doesn't fit into that idea,is seen as a low life, not worthy of fair treatment.

Bros,in ur signature, you said that u have out grown racism, tribalism, religious intolerance, well,it seems like you have come a long way in learning to to tolerant to people, but am afraid u have to add homophobia to that exotic list of things u 've out grown, the world is full of diversity, learn to be tolerant, and see yourself go places.
I guess you are the "Devil's Advocate of gays worldwide" or are you just a "closet gay" yourself?
Either way, you "spirited efforts" to defend your filthy habit is not washing at all!
Being unaccommodating of homosexuality is not homophobia!
"Race" (Racism) is NOT a choice; "Homosexuality" (gays/Lesbianism) IS A CHOICE! Cop it?

And what is that yarn about "fixed idea of what a human being should be" that you're saying?
*Did your parent not give birth to you, if 'He' was Homos, how would that happen? (just a 'logical question' and nothing about ur parents)
*Did you not have a "fixed gender" at birth?
*Did you not come into this world with a pr.ick?
*Do women not come into the world with a vag*na?
*Did "nature" not design one to be a receptacle for the other?
*Did "nature" not have a function for all the human parts and body organ?
*Are these functions not "fixed" at birth?

So, how come one should not have a "fixed idea" about how a human being should be ....just because people like you have left the "natural design" of the human anatomy for your perverted and selfish fantasies!
Nature already gave us "a fixed idea" of how and what a human being should be and being a gay is not it! tongue
This is not about religion or "enlightenment". The Anus is for defecating, Excreta and nothing more!

Why are you people so debased?
If you could shove ur pr.ick into the anus of a male like yourself (with all the shyte inside! shocked ) then l am sure you would have no qualms about shoving it into a dog or donkey! No wonder bestiality is on the rise!

I dont dislike "any person" but l detest their vile fantasies and how they try to impose it on everyone and try to make it "the norm".

Hmmm, l do appreciate the tenacity of these gays somehow, they are so persistent and persuasive in getting their perverted ways across! wink

Growing up, we were all exposed to the opposite sex but we were "trained" to understand that certain things are WRONG AND EVIL!
We were told not to steal, to covet other people's things, not to be aggressive or abusive, to say 'sorry and thank you', to show respect, to work hard, be contented, love and respect our parents, believe in a supreme being, e.t.c

Evils like incest, rape, e.t.c were to be avoided.

Growing up, we saw our mates nude, we bath "openly" with our brothers and sisters and we also saw their nudes BUT WHAT WE NEVER DID WAS TO ALLOW OURSELVES TO LINGER AND WANDER INTO DEVELOPING ANY SEXUAL EXPERIENCE FROM SUCH ENCOUNTERS!

I have slept with my best mate, on the same bed, for about 4years during our university days (room/bed sharing) and we never developed any sexual connotations to it, not because it does not cross one's mind BUT BECAUSE WE KNOW IT IS EVIL!

If the "idea" crosses your mind, YOU SIMPLY "KILL IT" IMMEDIATELY JUST LIKE YOU WOULD KILL ANY EVIL IDEA LIKE MURDER OR STEALING!

Ofcourse, some PERVERTED men and women with a bad moral foundation will decide (Yes, its a choice, a very conscious choice) to engage and explore their fantasies further and that is how they end up being gay or lesbian.

Now, since you "chose" to do this, with a little help, you can change your evil ways and become straight again!

But since we live in a very permissive world where depravity is the order of the day, these warp-minded perverts (who have ruined their own lives and future!), are trying to FORCE EVERYONE TO BE LIKE THEM! A case of "destroyed souls" wanting to increase their numbers!

They ask us to be "tolerant"? Yea, just like the armed robber, rapist, murderers, e.t.c are also entitled to ask us to be tolerant of their own behaviors too, l bet everyone would accept we should be of them too or are these gays to be treated "specially and differently"?

I hear they even want to change their Birth certs and be issued new ones, when they do a SEX-CHANGE? angry
Want wont they extort from the "governments" who by the way, are more concerned with winning the NEXT ELECTION (and Gay/Lesbian Votes seems good!)than with any form of morality or virtuousness of their decisions!

Let it be said that everyone is born with an INTRINSIC GENDER AT BIRTH.
It is from the combination of the X and Y (male) or X and X (female) chromosomes contributed by your parents!
So, gender is a "chromatic level decision" which no one has a say in.

Altering your "sexual organs" through surgery does not change your GENDER!

A man that becomes transsexual into a woman cannot grow a womb, can they? Cant naturally develop females hormones, can they?

All these misguided Gay/Lesbian gays should SEEK HELP and COUNSELING, it is unnatural and evil.

It is your choice, stop pretending like its an accident or mistake!

Sane people should stand up and not let their offspring be polluted by these perverts, who are so surreptitious and deft at passing their evil mind-set and choice unto unsuspecting younger ones, especially at early school were they are taught that being gay or lesbian is "normal"!

Well, maybe being a serial killer or rapist is also "normal", right?

It aint normal, it is a perverted choice!

Av always wondered too, why every 'start-up' church always have like 90% women and just like two men (The pimping Pastor and his Drummer boy, which could be his son! shocked )
I hate to say it but its because women are the most crafty creature God ever created!

*They are mischievous yet act like they are gullible!
*They get carried away and are emotional yet they can be mean without bathing an eye-lid!
*They are strong yet pretend to be weak so as to shift responsibility for their problems and actions, unto another man!(Even the Bible called them "weaker vessel" yet they made "mugun" of the "stronger vessel" (man) that God created!) shocked

Going to church for a woman, is not entirely about going to worship God, you have to factor-in "Fashion-competition, Gossiping, treachery, back-biting, deceit, pretense, fake-plastic smiles, and as many "killing-me-softly tactics" as you can imagine!

Men dont get easily carried away by the "fancy-stuffs and abaracadabra" of another man like themselves!

Christianity Etc › Re: Ghanaian Pastors Are Proving Worse Than Nigeria’s by lastpage: 12:27am On Apr 03, 2012
Tropilo: Point of correction, please! CHRISTIANITY is NOT, i repeat NOT a religion. CHRISTIANITY is a way of life. Being CHRISTlike should not be equated in terms of religion, please! The Holy Bible says, by their fruits you will know them. Churching is not all about Christianity but the way you lead your life. Thank you all and may HIS mercies be on us all. Through JESUS the CHRIST! Amen!
YOU, my brother missed the point!

8Before Christ, the Israelites practiced their "Moses-inspired religion" called Judaism.
Most Israelis till today still practice Judaism (with their small cap at the centre of their head)
When Christ came, he started his own 'Ministry" when he was baptized at the age of 30yrs.
Those who followed Christ teachings are called "Christians" - Christ-like.
It is a religion, a form of worship which centres around Christ, as the only way to God, his father and everlasting life.

A Church is a body of two or three people or more, who come together to inspire one another and pray (where two or three are gathered in my Name, l am there).
It is not "the building" that is the church, it is the gathering thus, it can happen ANYWHERE!

Spirituality is the way you live your life! (God is a spirit and those who worship him must do so in spirit). Spirituality is the moral compass of man's conscience to identify and do that which is right in the sight of God!

This is guided "completely" by the TWO LAWS that JESUS gave:

1) Love your God with all thine heart and have no other God except Him
2) Love your neighbour as thyself and do unto others as you'd expect them to do unto you.

Be blessed.

they have done 80 percent, whereas RCC has done 28
percent
, so we see that disparity, RCC need to expedite
action on the site. We are not happy because these three
jobs were given the same time to RCC, KOPEK and Enaco

, if they
had all moved to site at the same time, much would have

Hmmm....this "foreign Direct Investment (FDI)" phrase again! huh huh

I thought OBJ spent 8yrs junketing all over the world looking/sourcing for FDI for Nigeria (and in the process got Travel Estacodes that eclipsed his annual salary like five times! wink Smart man!)
Mallam Sanusi Lamido too told us that if he performs some funky-Mallan magic on our banks, FDI would just rush-in! Today, we know how much the naira exchanges for all the major currencies.

I remember Mallam El-Rufai and his "Privatization of our National Assets like NITEL, Ajaokuta Steel, e.t.c ..mantra". He told us the goal is to get FDI ASAP! grin

Even Madam Okonjo lectured us about how Nigeria would be bombarded with FDI once we can triple the price of PMS; how the massive amount of "profit taking" would make greedy FDI money to flow in and foreigners would build new refineries for us!

Am still scratching my coconut head 'cos the number of FDI's that has landed between now and then is so much that l have lost count! grin grin

Now, it is "If Madam Ngozi becomes WB President, she will bring FDI to Nigeria"! shocked shocked

What an abused phrase, this FDI? embarassed embarassed

*In a country that lacks three uninterrupted hours of electricity in most of its major cities?
*In a country where policies change like Irish weather?
*In a country where corruption has become a national anthem?
*In a country where insecurity is so high that even the "spiritually-protected" Men of God even require heftily-muscled body-guards and kidnapping is now an Olympic sports!
*Dont let me even mention the menace of terrorism a.k.a. Boko Haram
*In a country where the transport system has completely collapsed and other infrastructures like Internet capacity is not only epileptic but a rip-off?

Aabegii oo! I have a better idea: If Eyimba of Aba wins the Premiership (Yes, EPL!), it will bring FDI to Nigeria!
Okay , you think its only you people that are intelligent, right?

FDI koo, FBI nii! May be you think business is run based on stewpidty and sentiments!
Even Nigerians themselves are taking their own "FDI" to places like Ghana!

I truly weep for this country and its people! cry cry

A Cliche says "The Banana is rotting, we say its ripening instead"! (Literately)

This is just another example of a country down the slippery slope of ignominy!

The "country" is just a geographical expression but its "the people" that actually makes a country.

If 'the people' (or majority of them) are morally bankrupt, then THE COUNTRY ITSELF IS BANKRUPT!

Its even worse now that these "moral bankruptcy" seems to have become a way of life! We cant even see it as "an aberration", anymore!

There are few professions that should naturally command respect in any sane society (Doctors, teachers,..) and the Legal Profession is one of them.
Thats why we call them "learned Gentlemen", that is why they are "called to THE BAR"

They are supposed to be the "MORAL COMPASS" OF THE SOCIETY!

So when l see our Lawyers (they have actually graduated and are just doing one year internship. Many would be sitting in court in a few months, defending the "defenseless"? huh behaving or induced to behave this way, l feel sad

This culture of "open, brazen, settlement/bribery/corruption", glamorized by former head-of-state Ibrahim Babangida, IS SHAMEFUL.
People like 'the respected' Bola Ahmed Tinubu have now turned it into a "state Art".

What are we teaching the younger ones? Does this country still have a future or have we turned ourselves into the a "shameless, leprous prostitute" in the eyes of the rest of the world?

We Nigerians should stop acting "stewpidly-smart" when it comes to issues like these; the world has gone "global" and nothing done is hidden anymore!
Like my Momma will say, "If the world calls you a thief, dont go around dancing with a lamb in your hands" (like thats what you stole!).

Every right thinking person, with a shred of common sense and dignity will see this for what it is: A Shameless and immoral largesse from someone who is supposed to know better and be "a torch of moral-guidance" to the younger ones but whose depravity knows no bounds and thus perpetuates the global belief that Nigerians are naturally corrupt!

Even if he must dole out 'looted funds' as "transport honorarium", why not just quietly and decently pay it into the account of the student body?
Why not make it an endowment for "scholastic achievements" in the school? Why not use it to supply legal books? Why not use it to build a lecture hall for students or even cover the cost of some "database" that Lawyers and law enforcement Agents can use in tracking down criminals (Am l joking on this one? grin )?

I really feel sad for this country. Its an "inherently" great country but the people are becoming something else!

madambini: Madam! Ur stories have flaws o! It is too true to believe!
1. Nissan Murano was manufactured in 2002 and was up 4 sale in 2003. Let's assume u got ur car then. Add 2 years to ur milking ur mugu and anoda 1 year 4 ur suffering. It brings us to 2006. Now assume you married ur husband in 2007, its possible to have 4 kids in d space of 4years n 3months.

2. Nissan Murano was not in Nigerian market till 2006. Having a shop in Lekki got popular in 2007. So I'm assuming you got married in '09. Madam how u wan take have 4kids?

Some Nollywood script!
You beat me to it as l was trying to figure out when exactly "Murano was manufactured for the first time and when the first batch touched Nigeria's shores"! I was like hmmmm... let me see! grin

While l am not saying "Jazz does not exist, l know it does", THERE SEEMS TO BE A LOT OF EMBELLISHMENTS IN THIS STORY!
Some parts may be true but some parts certainly require more "proof" for it to be totally convincing. Not exactly convincing.
--------------------------------------------------------------------

I have seen a lot of rich society women entering one "Taapa Babalawo's compound" (l think its Kwara origins that are called so?)when l was way younger, in Lagos, on my way to the football field, most evenings.
Then l use to wonder how it is possible that an illiterate juju man (very dirty and ugly! angry ) could make friends with such rich, beautiful and voluptuous women? The man has no other job but his compound is replete with brand new cars, five wives and "gifts" you know he should/could not even think out in his illiterate brain! grin

Later l got to know the kind of "business" he's into: Making "Juju" for women, to hoodwink a man or to use on colleagues in the office, going by the fact that some of them came in official cars with their drivers!
One thing was clear, whatever these women are getting from the "Alfa" as he is called (nothing to do with the islamic religion), it was yielding results and they're paying heavily for it. One of them even ended-up being the 6th wife of the ugly buffoon shocked

Mind you, some men also do these things but over-all, it appears women are the prime customers as they generally prefer "magic", in most things they do! grin

Worst advice l have been given?: dont marry her!

Okay, maybe you're right?
Tell me/us: What you think the husband should have done, that he did not do, to show he was "more caring", that would have saved the life of his wife, apart from insisting she obey 'Doctors Orders' saying no more surgery?

We learn from each other every day!

Lastpage!
Tgirl4real: Yes, insisting she obeys doctors orders and also by ensuring ( not just insisting) she didn't go for the operation

I commend the husband for staying with her for d whole period n for footing the medical expenses. However, frustration could have set in. Imagine spending a whooping N80M over the years. Maybe he stooped caring as much as he is to thereby allowing her sister to talk her to her death.
T-girl,
Ogo is a matured adult woman and one thing you dont do to adults is "force them against their wish" (it is considered VIOLENCE! shocked The same violence the husband is been wrongly accused of! shocked shocked ).
You can suggest, you can convince, you can reason together (which l believe they both did with the Doctor before settling for that position) but when an adult decides to do something, (except you are the Police), you dont have the right to insist against their wish, using force.

Even if he decides "to insist" by using "whatever means", would he not be accused of not wanting her to survive because he has "one fine gaal" hidden somewhere? (like one "fine gaal" who said Kelvin toasted her before!)

You see, this is why l pity the guy, if he does, He is damn, if he doesn't, he is damn!
angry angry

And it also begs the questions
:

*Who should a spouse listen to, in matters of 'life and death'? Your family or your other spouse?
*Should your "Extended" family have so much influence on your "Nuclear" family? Do we need to re-examine that aspect of our culture?
*If the Surgery had been successful, would people not say "truly, Kelvin does not love his Ogo and was actually hoping she would die"?

I want us all to learn the lesson in this saga, not just get angry or pitch tent with one side. I have learnt a lot from it!
More importantly, l have learnt to see my spouse in a different light and to know that l need to appreciate my spouse the more, irrespective of what others think.

In-line with what others have said, the moment has come for me to "take a bow" from this topic.
I use this opportunity to say "thank you to EVERYONE" (irrespective of which side you took to and for whatever reason) who said one thing or the other about the issue. We all learn more everyday.

cugresources: I am single, completely single with no gf or fiancee, and friends, colleagues, neighbors, family keep wondering what a life, not that you cannot provide, or underaged, or ugly or eunuch, nor a devout born again christian, so why remain single without any opposite sex? My answer can full a whole page, and don't think its becos I had been heartbroken, NEVER! not because I believe that Nigerian girls are too bad, NEVER! but becos being single is so sweet I don't feel responsible for anyone's emotion or whatever. becos of the freedom it gives me, the freedom to attend parties, seminars, conferences, workshops, events, and also participate in doggy Nigerian politics. Becos of the freedom it gives me from not having to deal with someone tracing wherever I go and why I go. Because of the freedom it gives me to design my house the way I cherish without anyone's intrusion. Becos of the freedom it gives me to admire people I feel like admiring and to call who I desire to and when I desire to and not be under an obligation to call or text someone at certain times to makeup that I care. It makes me free from experiencing feminine bad-sides, so I won't judge any. It helps me stay focus and not get deviated from my goals of philanthropy and fair leadership in life. It helps me think constructively and actively without stereotyping or prejudice. Those are some of the reasons I am enjoying being single and wondering how to get an heir or seeds while still single. What are your reasons if you agree that being single is sweet or bitter! pls lets try and keep this thread clean from bashing and abuses. Thanks.
I see a lot of "me, me, me, it allows ME to ...." in your post!

Let me ask, (forgive me if it appears challenging, no offense intended): DO you think you are SELFISH PERSON WHO THINKS ABOUT HIMSELF AND HIMSELF ALONE?

Having said that, let me add that being SINGLE IS SWEET! wink

Cannot win a case against a dead person let alone in the court room.
What a attempt to exonerate the wicked husband?

She inadvertently confirmed the veracity of the story by admitting that the girl underwent surgery in five countries. Endometriosis does not commonly need surgical procedure unless one is consumed by desire to get a heir like Kevin.
After mortgaging her life!
Again, you're wrong!
Endometriosis is estimated to affect over one million women (estimates range from 3% to 18% of women) in the United States. It is one of the leading causes of pelvic pain and reasons for laparoscopic surgery and hysterectomy in this country.
http://www.medicinenet.com/endometriosis/article.htm
Surgery. Surgery is usually the best choice for women with severe endometriosis — many growths, a great deal of pain, or fertility problems. There are both minor and more complex surgeries that can help. Your doctor might suggest one of the following:
http://www.womenshealth.gov/publications/our-publications/fact-sheet/endometriosis.cfm
Some of you need to kneel down and ask God for forgiveness! The Tongue is powerful, unto life and unto death.

Let me break it down further for you: Ovary produce Eggs, which becomes babies. The Endometriosis problem has to do with a "functioning" ovary. One treatment is to remove the ovary but in that case, the woman will not bore children.

Now, lets assume Ken does not love his wife at all or anymore, can he not just agree that they yank her ovary off and all he needs to do is to marry a second wife that would bear him children? Is that not far more simple and easier than believing God for your wife to conceive?
*And did God not answer their prayer (Boy and Girl, wetin remain?)
*And did that kill her? No!

He loved her and stood by her, even when the opportunity to "excuse" her arose!

At every step you guys take to rubbish this man, it just exposes it even more that he loved his wife, Ogo!

Please think again, THINK!

Do you think it is only Ken that wants a heir or child? Does he not occur to you that women want children more than men, in any marriage?
Reason is that "if the woman does not bear child, it becomes her problem as the husband can still have children from other women! (all things being equal). I do not advocate this, l enjoin all men to do like Ken, Stand by your loved wife, in health and in sickness, in riches and in poverty, till death do you apart. I hope our women will do same? It not a shame to die for that which you believe in more-so when it is those that cherish their life too much, that loose it most, in very "unglorified circumstances"! Think about this.

cotton101: lastpage - ur harsh o - but now that things have settled u make a lot of sense.
Please accept my unreserved apology if that is how l come across. I was just driven by my intention to drive home an "obvious point".

Its cowardice not to accept when you're wrong and l accept that l may have come across as harsh.

I have asked them to tell the house, how they think or what they think that husband should have done, that he left undone, to show his love for his wife.

They kept quiet but are very eager to accuse him!
They make assertions they cant substantiate, just because we are on the internet (some people for pay libel till kingdom come! grin )

Anyway, l just want us to be objective, l know emotions might be running high but as we think about our own interest in propagating that belief that the husband is a Monster, let us also look at the other side, small-small at least. huh

*What if he is innocent nko?
*What if he truly "loved his wife die" as we say in waafii?
*What if Ogo (RIP) actually loved this man and will marry him again, if given the opportunity?

*What if you're a Judge with power to condemn to death or redeem as innocent; would you base your judgement on how you feel or on the"facts available"?
*Would you rather an innocent man suffer than let a guilty one walk free?
*What if one day you find yourself before a real judge, in a real court, would you not remember, would your conscience not remind you, about how you "killed this man" (literally) based on spurious evidence and self interest?
*Will "Karma" (if not God) not repay you back at that moment?
*And would you be happy afterwards?

blank: @ Ronkebp, i can assure every other person that supports Kevin will now toe the line with this new illness. The first person mentioned lungs, every other person mentioned lungs (the funny part was that they all kept saying they did not want to mention the disease as if it was AIDS she had).

They keep mentioning the money he spent as if that will erase the wife beating.
ronkebp: I had not seen this, when my guts was telling me that this woman or man, that just came out to cover Kevin's arse is lying, and trust me, my mind does not deceive me. Well whether it is the truth or not, we will know on the LAST DAY. God sees and will judge everyone, according to their deeds.

Yo are so desperate to condemn this Kevin that a simple thing as "Google" could have saved you this kind of public embarrassment but you are not even patient enough to do so! angry

A casual Google of that disease would have shown you that "in rare cases, it affects the lungs"!

Maybe l should include links here as l am sure you will not even cross-check before jumping up, "Eureka, we have nailed it"!
Rarely, endometriosis implants can occur outside the pelvis, on the liver, in old surgery scars, and even in or around the lung or brain.

Other sites for growths can include the vagina, cervix, vulva, bowel, bladder, or rectum. In rare cases, endometriosis has been found in other parts of the body, such as the lungs, brain, and skin.

I hope you can come up again, with some silly arguments, to justify this una "Bad name, hang him mentality"

And by the way, show us concrete evidence of this "husband beating" you people keep harping about or are we just regurgitating what that first poster (her alleged sister) wrote?

I dont know about you people o, but if a man spends about Ten Million Naira on his wife's illness, every year, from day 1 and all you can do is snort and demonize him, then a better word than "Ingrates", needs to be invented on your behalf!

At least unlike some men, he did not spend the money on one "Aristo babe" at Unilag or somewhere else, knowing that his wife was ill in an hospital in U.S or UK. He spent 'his wealth' on his wife's health. That is the "one of the marks" of CARING HUSBAND. Dig that.

Anyway, going by the pedigree of this people sef, no need to bother with such lost cause!

^^^Am seriously annoyed at you!
Why did you wait this long to write this piece?
They say, "Lies, if left unchallenged, have a way of assuming truthfulness".

I am Yoruba, never heard of this two and only saw the story on Nairaland but from reading it, l was very uneasy and with time, l began to see through the web of lies. I began to challenge a lot of positions in that first letter.

Some "bitter women" whose stock-in-trade is to capitalize of such stories, now gave it a wing of its own. They began to massacre the husbands image. That is how they get their own "kick"!

I wish l have seen this story earlier.

Man's inhumanity to man!

I paid attention to the "scorners" statements and some even gave themselves away (like one who said he 'toasted' her while his wife was ill, to create an impression of an uncaring husband, only for her to conclude that "but he is really a very nice person"! Now, how can you conclude that someone is "nice" on meeting him in person, yet rationalize that 'he tied his sick wife to a chair and flogged her'?!)

It is this kind of "small, simple but yet very outrageous inconsistencies" that set "my antenna" asking more questions.

At least we can trace who you are, with your name, let the "story tellers" unmask themselves and defend their wicked story.

Part 2

Now, l have seen this happen a few times, l have a friend who went for a simple Hernia Surgery in Lagos,(happens elsewhere in Nigeria as well). l saw him barely 24hours before the operation, he was hale and hearty. We laughed, we joked, he drove himself down to LUTH. He slept after Anesthetics was administered and never woke up again.
I have a Junior brother who is a specialist Neuro-Surgeon and he told me that "only a few are 'specialist', actually qualified to administer Anesthesia, in Nigeria. Its not General medicine, Doctors in the house can prove me wrong on this.

So in essence, Ogo died as a result of "bad decision" by a number of people, most especially those that disobeyed Doctors Orders that said no more surgery for her. They insisted her condition would henceforth be managed using DRUGS ONLY. These Doctors are not fools, they knew what would happen if she goes for another surgery.

It is most ironic that some of you women keeps passing stewpid comment on the husband, when there is even no credible evidence that he did beat his wife who l can assume safely, is too weak to even argue, talk-less of fight!
No man, would see his wife dying slowly (as against one sudden instantaneous act of violence like hitting on the head ), the mother of his children, living under the same roof with him, and still tie her to a chair and whip her!

"People should fear God when passing judgement on others because the same yardstick you use now, will be used for you"

I understand women who hate men, i understand those whose life are miserable because one man ditched them, l even understand those who will blame all their failures on their former husband, instead of doing a "self-examination"?

Well, if you are so desirable, why dont you "move-on" and marry another man instead of bitching and becoming a witch over-night! grin
Or even better, why dont you remain independent of this "monster men" and marry a woman like yourself! Infact, its not even compulsory that you live with a man, just Zap around, its that cheap!
wink

But please stop displaying your "bitterness" this way!
Stop accussing the husband of murdering his wife when it is very clear "he did not".

if you do, it is called wickedness and God himself will judge the wicked.
if you dont believe in God, then "Karma will judge the wicked".

Let us leave the family to bear their pain, husband, children, extended family on both sides.

One of the students (having read your wicked stories online, many years later), responded by saying, "we know what happened, your Daddy beat your Mum to death, we read it on the internet (courtesy of all these witches!).

Think about it, how would that child/ren feel? Do you imagine the pain it will cause him/her? The embarrassment it will cause them? What about the uncertainty and strife it will generate in the family? Is it "your mission" to destroy other people's family, even if you already destroyed yours? This is "the internet age" when what you wrote today, will come back to haunt you 20yrs or more, LATER!
Dont use "your fingers and gift of internet" to destroy families.

I am really surprised some of you are still going on-and-on about how she could have lived a good life if not for her husband! shocked shocked

Remember that when you "point one wicked finger at somebody, the remaining four is pointing at you"!

Let us separate "what we want to think happened" and "what happened" from each other!!

STOP GIVING A DOG A BAD NAME SIMPLY BECAUSE YOU'RE DESPERATE TO HANG IT.

I will break this into two parts. Part 1:

1.) Did Ken (Ogo's husband) really caused her death (directly or remotely)?

Let' see: True, the couple may have difficult times, they may even be at logger heads but where, when, who can say "I witness Ken beating Ogo"? Or say "I witness Ken tying Ogo to a chair and whipping her"? Even her Sister that wrote this story cannot come out and say l witnessed one. She did not even say "Ogo ran to me one day with whip marks or blood or "whatever can indicate violence", on her body!

So how come you ladies are so fixated on criminalizing someone who has just lost a wife, a dear wife?

2.) Could Ogo have died from other reasons/conditions?

Let's see: (a)She has undergone so many operations, according to reports from her Sister, friends and anyone close to them.
(b)She had a troublesome pregnancy which resulted in Doctors telling her no-more children as sh cold only have them by C.Section
(c) Even more importantly, she has gone for operations in at least 4 different countries, outside Nigeria (good facilities to ensure her survival). Please note that it is the same husband that pays for this foreign treatment (no big deal since he is her husband but at least it shows that he has her interest at heart)
(d) What are these Surgeries for? The answer was provided by a few people (one did not one to say exactly what it was, another one just spilled the beans and some of these people say they even stayed under the same roof with them). She is said to be suffering from a medical condition which is affecting her LUNGS! Now, l wont dwell to much on this but be assured that anything that affects your Lung is a killer, even ordinary Pneumonia! You will always be "weak and tired", always.

(e)Doctors have operated her a number of times, not from injuries received from "a beating", from her husband but from her "Pre-Existing condition" i.e. he Lung problem. And she was told that her body does not have the stamina for any more surgery (Lung problems, breathing and energy level are all related). NO MORE SURGERY SHE WAS TOLD.

Still she did not die. Still her husband was with her

3.) So, what eventually killed Ogo?
(a) She went for another surgery in Lagos (of all places on earth!) without her husbands knowledge and consent. He was not even in Lagos when she slipped down south to the hospital
(b) It was her sister (the same one that wrote the story on page one, that you'all read and went "he is a killer monster! huh ), who took her to the same hospital. She was theone that signed the Doctors Indemnity form, against previous medical advice and her husbands stance, NO MORE SURGERIES.

(c) To do this last surgery, she has to be put in a sleep using Anesthetics. It was administered to her.
She slept and never woke Up again. . That was how Ogo died.

You dont need advice, you need a good Lawyer!
And l hope you collected a signed Tenancy agreement when you rented the house?
At the end of the day, you are likely to en up in court if an amicable settlement cannot be reached.

If what you say above is exactly as it is (since your Landlord's story might be different), he would have to take you to court to explain WHY he wants to recover property though he might say he needs the place for his son coming from Abroad! grin (perfectly legal! shocked ) but if he has given quit Notice to say five Tenants in the same house, that might be difficult to substantiate in court.

Its left for your own Lawyer to show that the Quit Notice is vexatious because you demanded an explanation for his "Non Performance" of things he collected money for.
So as Fela would say, "Na argument, Argue..."!

At the end of the day, all you need is "reasonable time" to look for alternative accommodation"; It is his house, abi?
No court will ever grant you license to live in someones house perpetually.
That is the bottom line.

Properties › Re: Ejecting Tenants After 6 Months Notice Lapses: How Do I Do It? by lastpage: 6:01pm On Mar 28, 2012
soapdish: @Lastpage.. .there is no law that provides for additional one month Notice after the Statutory six months Notice. It is also perfectly legal to issue a Notice to Quit while the tenancy subsists, in fact, a Notice to Quit ought to expire on eve of the anniversary of that tenancy I.e at the same time the. tenancy expires.

@OP...you have two options- to wait for the Notice you gave him to expire then serve him seven days Notice of Owner's Intention to Recover Possession then Court but here the tenant will not be compelled to pay rent for the extra months that fell within the six months Notice. This is because the six months Notice is the Prerogative of the Tenant.
Alternatively, you can wait for him to renew then serve him a Notice that will expire on the eve of his anniversary.

N/B- this is only applicable to Lagos State.
I hope we can resort to "facts" in this dispute?
In a "Contractual Rent Agreement", there is an "offer" and "Acceptance" by the Landlord and Tenant respectively, for a "Performance" (Rentage without disturbance) with a "duration" for which the Agreement stands (one year rent), on the basis of a "Consideration (one year rent payment). FACT.

If you apply this to the Tenant/Landlord equation, you will notice that both parties are in a VALID CONTRACT FOR ONE YEAR!
Any of the parties that tries to tamper with this "legal agreement" is trying to BREAK A VALID CONTRACT.

Essentially, you are asking the court to help you commit an offense!
shocked

I dont know if your position is based "on Law" but l will ask any third "Learned Party" to intervene.

My position remains unchanged
: The Tenant is entitled to enjoy and undisturbed tenancy for the full year of your agreement which he paid for and using part of that period for "Quit Notice" (A disturbance of his rights o peaceful enjoyment of the Contract) is Null and Void.

I think we should also distinguish between "The Notice to quit" (intention to recover property) and the "Notice Period" (Period legally required to be given a Tenant, to allow that tenant to look for alternative accommodation, after the expiration of their current, contractual Tenancy with the landlord)

He will simply ignore your Notice and wait for you to take him to court, knowing you will loose! grin

I have assisted people on this and Landlord was directed by the Judge to go and issue proper notice and "pay legal cost" to Tenant.

As a Landlord myself, l will hate to be publicly embarrassed by a Tenant but that is what happens if you dont follow the letter of the law (an A.s.s by the way! grin )
