I greet with a big "idobale" to all the "gurus" and all the selfless giants in da house. You wont believe it, l have been reading from "Season 1, now up to Season 4! The more l read, the more l enjoy, the more you guys write and its so wonderful that Naija have people like you! As soo proud of y'all. I am a "Cable box" (Eurovox, Dreambox, DigiVox, e.t.c) person as its only Cable we have in my current place. I just want to appreciate u guys for now. Lovely World cup ahead. |
Okay, enough of this noise jooo ![]() I love YAMS and because l can see a few other people also do, l am going to share my little secret with ya'all. The rick is to eat soft, succulent dissolving YAM! HOW? 1.) Put your tubber of YAM in the freezer, let it freeze rock solid (best way to preserve yam, even for months!) 2.) bring it out the night before the time you want to dagger it (Say 10-12 hours earlier). 3.) Let it thaw naturally by itself. 4.) Peel and cook in enough water The "Physics" is that when it freezes, the water in the Yam freezes but in doing so, breaks the Yam down! And it is never the same again, now its as soft as "otuu-yelleeee, isu-epoo" ![]() *'shakes head and brandish a Dagger to damage that Yam on the kitchen table'* Just try it and report back to the house. Y'ALL OWE me o! ![]() BTW: Its a silly topic for front page ![]() |
First, apologies to "our-turn" for those 'undeserved' insults. Civility deserves that "they" should be 'a man' and apologize but if they dont, take mine on their behalf! I say this as an independent observer of the last few pages. EVERYONE has the right to air their views, no matter how stupid you think mine is, l probably think your is worse BUT what makes us educated and civilized is our ability to tolerate each others differing (even manic!) views ![]() Having said that, l am glad that 1,000,000 thieves, minus ONE is a victory and a step in the right direction. Like we all know, this country is infested with thieves in government! We all also know that we cant arrest all of them AT ONCE, very impractical if not impossible so, we nibble at them bit by bit. More practical We (or Baba God) will set them against each other so that we can have a "manageable" number to deal with. Again, who we can catch today, depends on "who is doing the catching" ![]() THIEF catch THIEF = LESS THIEVES! Catching the "biggest thief" (Like OBJ/IBB) and using them as scape goat might make small thieves like "us" think twice before dipping our hands in the till! Its a way of maximizing resources, at times. As for "selective Justice", it is bad but it is what we can afford for now, at least until Nigerians develop/grow "Real Balls"! I feel you pain on this "our-turn", but it is "THEIR TURN" You gat the logic? ![]() Finally, if the p"imperative" is not achievable, lets settle for the "practical". Just too many thieves to deal with, walahi! BTW: The day OBJ and IBB are made to account for their loot, THAT will be the day. Nuff said. |
What irks me most is these set of MUGUNS that keep saying we should "let the man rest"! Someone who was pronounced dead, what kind of rest does he need again, than being dead? How does "talking about" a dead person, from today till eternity, good or bad, affect the state of being (or death) of the "body"? Does it stop the body from rotting? Does it "oil" the body? Does it "pinch" the body? Does it slap the body and wake it up? How can ma people, educated ones for that matter, speak and act sooo stupidly, in public? Or is it just as usual, our pretentious penchant for acting like an Ostrich which decides to bury its head in the sand, just to pretend that "all is well"? Some say it is "mental laziness", we just dont want "that brain" to be put to good use, by 'thinking through any process"! How do you PROVE/KNOW that someone is actually dead? 1.) By Guess-work? 2.) By the Depth of their grave? 3.) By some white cloth and Nigerian flag, wrapping something that is shaped like a human-being? 4.) Or by just acting like a cow being led to the slaughter - Unquestioning? Some silly cow think because we ask these questions, we dont love our deceased president? (i didn't say Disease o!) I dont know how many of you, if your Mum or Pups died, and you can afford it, and have the time/space to do it, will not want to glorify their ending? I celebrated mine because their lives was worth living, well spent. Why get a state burial if you dont want a lying-in-state? Both are for showing respect and adoration, to someone worthy and l think, despite what some say, "the man Yar'Ardua himself (minus all his hanger's-on+Turai+Cabal) was humble and good at heart. Why the 21-gun salute if truly you want to keep him a "Turai-Secret"? Why not just spirit him somewhere and just plant him in an indiscreet hole? Why even announce it? But the point is 'The man deserved a state burial: HE WAS A PRESIDENT OF NIGERIA, OUR PRESIDENT! Its not about religion, its not about whether he performed to or beyond expectation, its not because he is Hausa or Igbo or Yoruba or even Niger Delta! Its because of who he was and what he represents. We had enough insults from the Saudi people, kidnapping our President and holding him incommunicado, on Turai's order! What da-hell? Now, we are even denied the right to give our last respects! Fu*king B*stards Why must we always be afraid of "asking questions'? In 2010?? No wonder the same Malaria that killed my G-Great grand father in the 5th century is still killing millions of children till today! I know we must respect "the dead" as in respect the mosquito and not ask questions like: What and how it kills and how and what we can do to eradicate it! Thank God for Mosquitoes, if they step their foot (or wings) in Europe/America, they would have been extinct! ![]() But they chose to reside and finish the children of "people who respect the dead and dont ask questions"! ![]() Even the Mosquitoes are smarter than most Nigerians Anyways, Respect the dead or not, if Yar'Adua lost out due to the time it took to air-lift him to Germany (at first), The Questions we should be asking are that: Why did OBJ not build such hospital in 8yrs? (Maybe Stella would still be alive today! )Why did Abacha not build such hospital in 4yrs? Why did Babangida not build such Hospital in 9yrs? Why did Yar'Adua of all people, not make building such Hospital, his lone-point Agenda? By not asking QUESTIONS, We lack knowledge and the Good Books says: MY PEOPLE PERISH FOR LACK OF KNOWLEDGE! *Shakes head in disbelief* Nuff said! |
Ma people foolish, no be small. Firstly, does it occur to you that the GRAVE (that one) was too shallow, not even 3-feet? Secondly, Ask yourself: Did YOU (Yes, you that one with crocodile sympathy! Again, ask yourself: Why was there no LYING-IN-STATE ? (for a President! a loved one at that!! )All this charade called burial is nothing but deceit. How come even Jonathan has not seen the dead-body? (dont talk about the alive body). Ask yourself, what has Turai got to gain by all this secrecy, even after death? does that makes sense to YOU? Okay, you're one those ones without sense! ![]() TRUTH is that Nigerian flag was used to wrap an ordinary effigy and thats what goes into that 'shallanga'! Yar'Ardua was dead and long buried in Saudi Arabia. See, sneaking-in at the dead of the night like a thief was all part of the plan or else how do you explain it that a dead man signed the 2009 Budget? '''''shakes head in dis-belief'''''flips open a can of Guinness'''' |

@N95-2-8GB Friend, l am still waiting for the stuff PLEASE. Cheers |
How did anyone miss the build-up to 2morrows premiership final? The Clip showed Mikel and it was stated that HE WAS INJURED AND HAD TO GO FOR SURGERY I very much doubt if he will be healed, fit and match ready before the World Cup. I dont like his "attitude" at all but l do recognize his talent, even way back in the Olympics By the way,no matter the level of talent you have, if you have a bad behavior/attitude, you can only go as far. Go ask Etim Esim, by far one of the most talented Nigerian footballer l have ever seen. Jay-Jay is another example of naked talent but good attitude got Jay-Jay this far meanwhile, its wishful thinking for Jay-Jay to dream of a comeback! Dont tell me he is another Roja Milla! ![]() |
Possession of a system IS A MUST (Could be a Desktop but a Laptop is better; buy a fairly used Intel Pentium 4 minimum, if money is an issue) N+ is not a pre-requisite for CCNA (infact, l consider it a waste of time and resources) Now, depending on your level of I.T at this moment: If you are computer literate, l will say get the E-book and READ; get the video tutorials and study; Take a lot of practice questions (on the job experience can also help fast-track your competency) and when you're a bit comfortable (you will never be totally comfortable) register for the part one of the exams at a VUE/Prometric center Its better you take it in two streams. On the other hand, if you are not that good with Computers (At least be able to install O.S and troubleshoot hardware), l will suggest you take the A+ Certification route first before dabbling into CCNA. And you cant use the A+ qualification, along the line, to get work experience. Wish you luck, its easier than you think, GO FOR IT. Cheers |

Hi SolarFob, l appreciate your "openness" about the whole thing. Imagine one guy charging customers for "User Manual"! ![]() I have always been interested in the Solar source of energy and l think Nigeria is very ripe for it, what with our epileptic PHCN and abundant exposure to sunlight. Fuel generators are a dis-service to we Nigerians. Can you give me an idea of cost implications for those Solar Panels (Small-to-medium ratings for household use) and what material are your made from? Cheers. |
2006 version is outdated. The current exam curriculum is the 2008 version, with new topics introduced. Hope u dont get a shock in the Vue Test Centre if you're reading that 2006? ![]() I have the new Version. Send me a P.M if you wish |
I am not one of them, just felt its unfair for no one to respond to you. I have Chief Architect V. XI Prof. (Version 11, latest) Just bought it for $2,195:00. I will install it for you and u will be certain it works. Send me a P.M. if interested |
Its obvious that IBB is making"good use" of his STOLEN WEALTH! Since he declared his interest to go and pick what he forgot at Aso Rock, the "money has been flowing"! So, l am not surprised when l see "PAID BOYS" jumping from what topic or forum to another, trying to launder a stinking image ![]() And you can see that these "men-of-the-belly" would spend 24hrs on internet to defame and slander anyone against IBB lust for power. Since Abiola's family went against IBB's intention, these "boys" have started to "do research" on how Abiola 'stole money' or carried drugs! ![]() they would say anything, do anything, to force IBB down our throats. As bad as Abiola was in 1996, he CONTESTED AND WON A FREE AND FAIR ELECTION. From Kano to Kaduna, from Owerri to Umahia, from Benin to Warri, from Lagos to Akure, HE WON ELECTIONS but this "enemy of democracy" called Babangida a.k.a "Maradona" deceived this nation and annulled our best election after unending "transitions"! He seized power by the butt of a GUN, he was forced to hand it over, by the butt of a GUN! So now, he himself wants to contest election? Where is the sense of justice in that? And to think that he is using our collective patrimony, (the 2.8 Billion dollars Nigeria made from the oil windfall during the first Gulf War ) to buy the conscience of some mentally impoverished and morally bankrupt people, to do the dirty job?! History will not forgive you, your children would not forgive you, Nigerians would not forgive you and worse of all, the God of Heaven will visit you in many ways. The "Egunje" IBB is spreading around will finish but your sorrow will know no bounds for what you guys are doing. Remember, the Evil that men do, live with them and after them. |
When is this comedy going to end? This "story" was posted on May 1st. If it was April 1st, l would have considered it "April fool'sday"! ![]() Okay, you said she actually called you YESTERDAY to narrate her ordeal. That should around April 30-31st. Now, let me quote her conversation, as stated by your very self. SEUN, But mom please i just want to beg you to please consider me a little bit as you know its not easy to wake up very early in the morning (5am) everyday inside the heavy cold especially at this winter time to work and at the end i get almost nothing in return. The question would like to ask you, with reference to the bolded-part of the quote is: Which part of London does she live that Its WINTER at April ending? ![]() Okay, enough is enough, lets have a more interesting story. Am not a LAWYER but l want to ask the house (l mean members wey sabi wetin dey happen o!): Can someone who has claimed Asylum and enjoys a REFUGEE status, contest an election in that same country he claims he is being persecuted? Somethings we do now, in the name of "Residency abroad", might hurt us in future! For example, if you travel straight to your former country of origin and your host country (the one that granted you Refugee status) knows about it, legally, they can and will repudiate that "status" and withdraw all the benefits cos it simply means YOU are saying the same country is now "safe" for you. So, no need to protect you anymore, from it. Reason why peeps go through Ghana and at times settle there (not because Ghana has stable electricity!) ![]() Remember, Refugee status is for "protecting people suffering persecution" from their home state due to issues like war, political differences and other human right issues. , President ![]() As for IBB, non-issue (in my own opinion) |

It is said that one should not bite the finger that feeds them. Nigerians work hard to get money, we pay one of the highest cost, of GSM telephone calls world over. Should the ZAIN that we support, now be treating us like worthless sub-humans? I dont work with ZAIN, l dont even live in Nigeria but l feel for the staff of ZAIN on one hand, and on the other hand, l am very angry not just with our leaders who put us in so much peril but l am also angry at these "foreigners" who take advantage of our being nice people. Enough is Enough! Please take your time to read this. I culled it from a sister website and you can read it directly from there. Planned Offshore Outsourcing of Nigerian Telecom Jobs to Indian nationals in India – The Ericsson GNOC India Initiative! PDF | Print | E-mail Thursday, 08 April 2010 06:12 Sir/Madam: We wish to inform you of a secret plan to off-shore jobs hitherto performed by able and qualified Nigerians to foreign nationals in a foreign country – The Ericsson GNOC India Initiative. This job offshore outsourcing initiative is to hit the entire Zain Managed Services NOC (Network Operations), currently managed by LM Ericsson Nigeria and under the managed services contract engaged in August 1, 2009. For the avoidance of doubt, Outsourcing simply means, the transfer of work, responsibility, decision rights to an external subject matter expert entity. Offshore Outsourcing is a brand of outsourcing where work is transferred to countries that are of considerable distance from the client. There are obvious reasons why organizations practice offshore outsourcing, some of which include lack of requisite skills in client’s home country, cheaper labour rates, etc. Considering all known reasons that influence offshore outsourcing, no clear reason can be said to be driving the case of Ericsson Zain Nigeria Managed Services, other than the share greed of maximizing profits, and providing employment for the teeming Indian populace at the expense of Nigerians. As a matter of fact, offshore outsourcing, as planned by Ericsson, only obtains in middle-east countries, such as Saudi Arabia. The reason being that the average Saudi national doesn’t need to work in order to get the basic necessities of life and so is not affected by Job off shoring. In early 2009, the management of Zain Nigeria decided, as a strategic initiative, to outsource its entire technical operation across Africa. The objectives were only known to the owners of the business, whilst everyone else was told about the need for the company to remain both profitable and to provide improved services. It is on record that most countries in Africa resisted this move by Zain. The plan succeeded in Nigeria and a few others where the home governments were aloof and insensitive to the effects of implementing such plans. Looking at one of the reasons adduced for outsourcing, it is only the owners of the business that can confirm how profitable Zain has been, since the outsourcing of its operation to Ericsson in August, 2009. The profitability of Zain Nigeria has always been a secret only known to a selected few. Also as far as improved services are concerned, Subscribers of Zain Nigeria, who are incidentally mostly Nigerians, are in the best position to also confirm the theory of improved services being bandied. Where Ericsson Zain Managed Services currently is: In 2009, Zain transferred about 450 of its staff to Ericsson Nigeria, to manage the Nigerian technical operation. These former employees of Zain technically became staff of LM Ericsson Nigeria. They were made to sign new employment contracts with Ericsson, and new Ericsson identification Cards were issued. Since then, a number of Nigerians who are part of this number have resigned either out of frustration, or for other personal reasons, to chase other life’s endeavors. This implies that the staff strength under the managed services agreement is currently less than the initial number. There has not been new recruitment or training of transferred staff; rather the Ericsson MS management has been on an endless journey of continuously juggling people between functions (Transition - Transformation). While this went on, several foreigners (Lebanese and Pakistanis) were brought in to handle key management positions within Zain Managed services code named “Project STAR”. A few have since December 2009 been secretly sent packing after the Senior Ericsson Management discovered these ‘experienced’ EXPATs were only increasing overhead and adding no value. It is worth mentioning that experienced Nigerians were deliberately not considered for these positions - A fast track to frustration of professionals. Where Ericsson wants to be: Ericsson, as part of optimizing operational costs, has perfected plans to secretly transfer the hub of this Nigerian operation, which is the Network Operations Center, NOC, to a Global NOC, known as GNOC, which operates from India and is manned by Indians. Currently, a good number of Indian nationals from Ericsson GNOC India are in Zain Managed services Nigerian operation to understudy locals, gather all relevant network operations info from the locals and return to India sometime in mid April. It is after this information gathering exercise is completed that the Operations management off-shoring will commence (before 1st Week of May 2010). This activity is being carried out under the guise that the visiting Indians are in Nigeria to improve on existing processes and procedures while in the actual sense they are in Lagos - Nigeria on Industrial espionage. Ericsson Management in presentation slides late last month explained the need to be more responsive to customers, remain competitive and by extension, remain the market leader. Staff were informed of headcount implications but never told that the affected jobs will be given to Indians in India. Recent revelations from careless conversation of visiting Indians from GNOC reveal that that every function that can be performed remotely, through IP network log in, shall cease to exist locally in Nigeria. This simply implies that all those previously performing such functions will automatically be relieved of their jobs and the leftover (no matter how experienced) will be required to perform only physical and menial tasks. A job position they started off with in GSM over nine to eight years ago. The question that Nigerians need to ask their Home Affairs ministry is – How and why such a large number of young Indians were granted Nigerian visas without investigation / verification and what reasons were presented for the approval of these visas? Implications of this Offshore Outsourcing: 1. Nigeria does not have accurate statistics that captures the current unemployment rate in the country, but this callous initiative will definitely make this figure worse for Nigeria and reduce unemployment rate in India. Efforts by successive governments to create employment opportunities have often yielded little or nothing so we cannot afford to further worsen the situation by carelessly allowing greedy organizations worsen the current unemployment rate in the country. The management of the Ericsson Zain Managed Services in Nigeria under the leadership of Tahir Syed (COO and Pakistani ) is planning a massive 70% reduction in Nigerian NOC Operations staff headcount. This recovered 70% workforce is to be sourced and domiciled in India. 2. Indians who will be provided jobs under the planned offshore outsourcing will certainly pay their taxes to their home government as they will be working from India. Indian economy will definitely gain from this revenue redirection. The impact on internal revenue base of state governments and the federal government of Nigeria is better imagined. States like Lagos state with a high number of working professionals will be worst hit. 3. One of the Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR) of every profit making organization is to give back to the community via the provision of employment opportunities to citizens of the host community/country. Therefore, an organization that operates in Nigeria, with its services patronized by Nigerians, and subsequently makes profit from Nigeria, cannot and should not be allowed to export jobs to other nationals, thousands of miles away. It is quite worrying that Indians are at it again to shortchange Nigerians after the Vaswani Brothers’ years of exploitation. 4. Many Nigerian families, who have bread winners in the employ of Ericsson Zain Managed services, will certainly live to tell the story (of the negative impact) this planned massive lay-off will have on them. Nigeria is well known for its close family ties that includes responsibility for the less privileged among families, both nuclear and extended. The irony of this business initiative is robbing one Nigerian family of a means of livelihood to pay an Indian Family in Delhi. 5. GSM Technology is about Nine (9) years old in Nigeria and so experienced Nigerian professionals abound. The industry has in the last five (5) years witnessed personnel from the major GSM operators leaving Nigeria for Ericsson Contract jobs in several countries. However, with the Global recession and less investment by Operators in Network Expansion, there has been massive lay off of GSM technical professionals around the world especially those working for Network equipment vendors such as Ericsson etc. In such situations, a foreigner is normally the first asked to leave while locals are retained. The idea is that as a foreigner you’re expected to go back to your home country and apply for openings in your local Ericsson operation. The irony is that these same individuals and more are not considered for experienced positions in Ericsson Nigeria when they return. This job off shoring initiative will further worsen the plight of these individuals and other experienced GSM professionals. Ericsson’s Responsibilities: LM Ericsson Nigeria at this time should be asked to justify its planned action in Nigeria: 1. There is every need for Ericsson to defend this sweeping change that will lead to massively lay off of Nigerians in its employ. It must state, in unambiguous terms, how this new strategy job off shoring will benefit Nigeria and Nigerians. Downsizing in the face of harsh economic conditions is a viable solution but taking jobs away from Nigerians and transferring these same jobs to foreigners in another country is questionable. 2. Ericsson needs to prove beyond reasonable doubt that this is an inevitable end. By this, we mean the business can no more survive if jobs are not off shored to India. 3. They equally need to demonstrate, unequivocally, how they intend to mitigate the effects of such massive layoffs on qualified Nigerians working in their country. 4. Ericsson Nigeria needs to prove beyond reasonable doubt that this planned Indian Initiative is not meant to serve as goodwill gesture to the new Zain Africa Operations Owner Bharti India. We therefore wish and hope that the Presidency, Senate, House of Representatives, State Governors, Judiciary, NCC, Immigration, Security agencies, Labour Unions, Press, Civil Rights Organizations demonstrate to exploiting forces that as Nigerians we can protect the interest of Nigerians. These stakeholders should provide hope for Nigerians and stop this foreign injustice from hatching. |

Arsenal has just blown any remote opportunity of "smelling" the Premier League Trophy when they allowed-in three goals (3 goals) in less than 7minutes, and less than ten minutes from full Time. Just like we have blew it against Bolton and many other teams like Stoke e.t.c. Full time score was 3-2 in favor of Wigan Athletic. As a GUNNER-FOR-LIFE myself, l am gutted but them, like they say, "YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR"! ![]() If you "PAY PEANUTS, DONT BE SURPRISED YOU'LL END UP WITH MONKEYS, AS STAFF" ( dont take it literally, l mean) I hope once again, "The Professor" would have learned another lesson in this endless seasons of no trophy and no lesson learned. In "Professor, l do NOT trust". |
@Chummie These men , whether we like them or not and no matter what they've done and what we feel about that still remain Christ's reps and we can't even tell if they have acknowledged their wrongdoings and have reconciled with God who is THE ULTIMATE JUDGE while we remain in our ignorance and cast aspersions on people who have gone past the their failings and are enjoying peace with God whose opinion matters most. While l agree with you that "touch not my anointed and do my prophet no harm" is a command of the Bible, l will like to UNDERLINE the words "MY PROPHET, MY ANOINTED". Since you come in the way of the Bible, l will take it that you're a Christian that believes in his Bible. The good book says that "Every good Tree will bear good fruit and by their FRUIT we shall know them". So, if you see an "ANOINTED" bearing such fruit as "PEDOPHILIA, Sexual immorality, Homo-sexuality, corruption or looting of church funds, and so on", would you for one minute be misled into not recognizing that such one is a SELF-ANOINTED PROPHET? We should distinguish between "spiritually anointed Prophets" (recall the way Joshua was anointed, recall how Samuel was anointed, Daniel, Moses, Apostle Paul who was even a "persecutor" was spiritually anointed) and the current self-styled "evil genius" that parade our church podiums with " a gun in their robe and a green in their eye"! The wrath of God is on them for they deceive the "Sheep" of he Lord. They are like jackals and vipers, they have destroyed many lives. But then, no one can claim ignorance for being deceived, cos the Bible has instructed us to "seek and research and hold on fastly to the truth"! What else do we need to be told? Whether we want to wallow in ignorance, hiding under the cliche of "thou shall not judge", that is our choice.! |
I cringe at the thought that we are taking the issue outside its realm of relevance. Lets take a step backwards and ask some questions. MAIN Issues: 1. The sexual molestation of children (even deaf ones!) placed in the care of "spiritual" guardians. 2. Accused: Hierarchy of Catholic Priests (by no means the only ones involved in these demonic act, just the sheer numbers are overwhelming) 3. Legal Name: Pedophilia 4. Issues at stake now: Is the Pope guilty of Pedophilia (as himself) or responsible for the same acts, committed by his Priests/institution? 5. Are some Priests guilty as charged? YES, their demonic acts have been exposed by their victims. Now, l can understand the "feelings" of peeps when it comes to defending their "religious mentor", be it Pastor, Priest, Pope or G.O. Religion is like an Opium, it intoxicates. Religion is by Faith, you're supposed not to question it (infact, you are supposed to be idiotic and carried away!) Except that even the Bible admonishes Christians that care a hoot about their soul, to "search out and seek the truth, hold fast onto that which is true and YOU WILL BE SET FREE" (sic) So, it is not a crime or "anti-christ", to seek to know the truth about what is preached, taught and professed" by our religious leaders. Looking at the history of "Catholicism", and l am not against the Catholic church (as far as l am concerned, they are even better, in their worst state, than the current set of Pentecostal vultures parading as Nigerian churches of today), a few things stand out. (1) The Catholic church as an institution, is responsible for the burning alive on stakes, of millions of 'humans', just because they sought to posses, read the Bible and "KNOW EXACTLY" what the word of God says (trying to obey the command to seek the truth!). If you doubt this, Google the topic "Inquisition". (2) At one stage of his life, the current Pope was a PRIEST! He did not just drop down from heaven and become the POPE the same day. He was PART of the system for so many years AND PEDOPHILIA has been in the Catholic church since only God knows when. Whether the current Pope has "done it to little children" in his own time as a Priest or not, l cannot say because l dont have any information to the fact, just "circumstantial allusions" "Show me your friends, and l will tell you who you are" is a common cliche. Another one says "Likes beget Likes", the environment we all live, affects and shapen who we become, as we grow up. These are TRUISM, so no need to blow your top! Even as we try to defend the Pope and our "Church", l think every human being with a conscience can understand that "Evil triumph when good men keep silent". We might then ASK, *What did the current POPE do, before the bubble burst on all his pedophilia Priests? *Did he "vigorously" seek to expose them? Or did he sought to cover them up? *Victims were threatened with "excommunication" and as a Catholic, we all know how we all fear and dont want that. Is that right? *Being in the highest heirarchy of the Catholic Church, did the current Pope kick against the "oath of secrecy" that was forced on the victims? *Was the Pope even a party to that oath, through communication along the chain-of-command? *The Pedophilia in the Catholic church was not just limited to a few Parishes or a particular state or country. It was ENDEMIC, INSTITUTIONAL AND WORLDWIDE. I pity Nigerians on the day the extent of the damage this "Catholic Priests" have done to their children would start getting revealed, l guarantee you many parents (including those living in denial on this thread, right now), will brandish cutlass ![]() We are usually very " reverend" of our spiritual mentors, that is our culture. Like the days of Christ, the Pharisees are only good for "social decoration and show-manship" but when the real spirituals issues are examined, they fall short, indeed very short. The Catholic church has championed so many good things world over BUT at the same time, it MUST purge itself of outdated practices that make its members even more susceptible to "human weakness", not even to think of abusing "defenseless innocent children"! God must be very angry at those Priest right now. The Bible never commanded anyone to be CELIBATE. The Apostle said "MARRY, if you cannot hold-bodi" That people passionately wanted to serve God, should not be used to deny them of their emotional needs of companionship, marriage, sex and raising of biological children. Who says you cannot serve God if married? But it is better to marry than to destroy the innocence of young and helpless children remember, "theirs is the kingdom of God". Nuff said. Caveat: These are just my personal opinion, not forced on anyone. If you dont like it, just ignore it and move on. No need to start swearing like a lunatic ![]() |
JONATHAN is what l will call "A breath of fresh air". At least now, l can show my colleagues something: This is Nigeria's President! The last few months has been filled with torment from them: We hear you cant locate your President, we hear your President looks like a fearful Ghost! e.t.c!! ![]() And he's cute, l just pray that he does not take after the cute evil genius! That one was a waste of beauty, he should have been molded after OBJ ![]() So much for that theory that says you can decipher evil minds from the ugliness of the face ![]() Ride-on Jonathan, make your citizens proud. 2011 is a banker for you, if you keep up this standard. Can you please give a Presidential Directive for Ribadu to resume Office and IWURUWURU TO be replaced? I cant just wait. BTW: Please remove that last picture^^^^^ Gives me nightmares! |
@Shock. While l will agree with you that freedom and liberty of citizens are paramount under a democracy, they are not sacrosanct. The question we need to focus on are: Why did the President ask that they take permission before traveling? True, Jonathan is not his Daddy but Jonathan is representative of our constitution, the law of the land. We might play the ostritch but what this dude has done to our democracy is unimaginable. We have questions bothering on treason and national subversion, that needs to be investigated, and Anaconda is a principal suspect. The only respect he enjoys is that he was a former Minister otherwise, like would have been done to any Tom, Dick and Harry (and that includes bank chiefs), he would have been docked, PENDING INVESTIGATION! Question like who forged Yar'Ardua's signature on that last budget? *Who authorized the spending of Yar'Ardua's security vote of over 500Million? (or is it Billion sef )*Who orchestrated that BBC interview that Yar'Ardua (or his ghost) gave? *what part did Anaconda played in the deployment of the Army Battalion that welcomed Yar'adua? *Who ordered that Yar'Ardua seat at the FEC meeting be guarded by an armed soldier? What was the purpose and danger to Jonathan if he had tried to sit there-in? *Has he explained how Yar'adua "gave approval" of the #50Million Tax-payer's money he was planning to squander on that jamboree? What about the Halliburton scandal/ court judgment and the employment of some "errand boys" to stifle justice and emasculate the beneficiaries of that money? All this question has the finger-print of Anaconda, being the arrow head of the "mythological cabal". Taking permission before traveling out of the jurisdiction is a standard and lawful practice in criminal investigations and as someone has pointed out, if risk of flight is envisaged. *Why did Anaconda decide to flee instead of taking permission? Is he claiming he is bigger than a Presidential order? For now, Anaconda is not guilty, he is innocent but under investigation nd he needs permission to travel. End of turanshi. Since it was a general directive, l see no reason why Anaconda should feel above the directive. Anaconda has by his behavior in the last few years (especially since Yar'Adua went under-cover) shown that he is an enemy of this nation and does not deserve any "human rights" at all. I think we have an "artful forger" in the net, this time. Kirikiri, here they come ![]() |
Look my feefull, There is still a lot of money to be shared! Go ask Anaconda and that "Oturugburu of chief from Ibori"! ![]() The religious leaders just took their own share of "Tithe and Zakaat", next inline are the Traditional rulers! Where is that Obaa from Ile-Ife who is reputed to say "the man is doing well"? IS it not time you and your Association of traditional rulers go and pay homage to Yar-Ardua? Come back and tell us as usual, "the man just finished a marathon with Turai", right there in our presence ![]() Useless bunch of deceivers ![]() |
I tried to laugh but ended up getting annoyed, after reading all these stories! What peeves me beyond comprehension is the attitude of the "oppressed Nigerians"! ![]() You can sense a sign of resignation "to fate", like there is nothing we can do, we just have to continue "suffering and smiling", no matter the kind of extortion, indignity or intimidation, these criminals in uniform put us through? As a nation, a people, for how long shall we continue to put up with every inhuman treatment we are subjected to? What is really wrong with the mentality of an average Nigerian? Why must it be that you need a military man to bail yu out for carrying a genuine Laptop (The same military men you say u dont want to rule you?) Why is it that for the sake of self, we will overlook evil being meted to another fellow? You might say all these is grammar and add some sarcastic comment that makes you feel cool but the issue is "As long as you put up with these "official scams", it will keep getting worse and your children would have to put up with worse ones. I am an I.T. person by training and l would be lost without my Laptop, even for a few hours (same goes with my phones, and l take pride in packing two expensive smart phones since they are not only for basic telecoms, they are also my work tool). I wish l can find a way to "provoke Nigerians to anger" so that we can start in our own little, persistent but lawful ways, to protest, amid respectfully, that we know our rights and we demand for it (even if you dont have the means to enforce it, let the stupid, thieving Policeman know that you know he is committing wrong, evil, for what he is doing). Extortion is a criminal offense. whether by a civilian or a Police officer. Dressing well does not make you a "good person" and dressing casually does not make you a criminal, infact, the criminal is more inclined to "dress powerfully", just to deflect suspicion. I hope that I.G Onovo reads this nairaland, l hope he has the conscience to re-train the murderers he has armed with Ak-47, the right to kill! I will not pay a dime to any Policeman that arrests me for possessing a Laptop. I cant even remember the receipts of a phone l bought recently, how much more a year-old Laptop! And in my house, we have four Laptops (every one has one, including my two grown boys). I simply pass the old Laptop to my children when l buy a more modern one (bad Daddy! ) I will simply pay the "sacrifice" and politely wear put the patience of the police men. There are better ways to track those doing Yahoo (what if they even encrypt the "Hard Drive" they use in committing Yahoo and it does not even appear at boot-up!) than harassing and extorting from law-abiding Nigerians. Enough is Enough. Stand-up for your right to a decent life. My ten quid. BTW: where is our sense of charity? If you're a qualified lawyer, maybe out of work, why cant you advertise your skills to defend an oppressed stranger? Its more fulfilling than loafing around and who knows what may come unexpectedly from it? We all can do some good in someones life, l bet. |
