I've heard about people going for biometrics appointments for visa extension and renewal and not being allowed to proceed because of the absence of the dependant, the problem is that once you indicate the dependant in the application, the person needs to show up, ok even if the dependant is not going to be included in the application, what will the applicant state as the reason of not including the applicant!

Maybe those who have done such an application should provide the answer, Am only speaking from the experience of others close to me
Divorce, separation 🤷🏾‍♂️

I hail ...please I would like to ask the following,

Aside the the count down to ILR,

1. What are the advantages of having a Skilled Worker Visa vs Post Study Work Visa?
2. Can a couple split having the Skilled Worker Visa and Post Study Work Visa among themselves? For example spouse goes on Skilled Worker Visa while hubby goes on Post Study?

Your insights would be very much appreciated. kiss
1. The benefits of having skilled visa are enormous. That’s why some employer will ask if you will need sponsorship in the future.

2. Your wife can decide not to include you as dependent on her skilled work visa is she wish.

Many things dey occur. I have heard of a scenario where the lady refuse to include the man after she got sponsorship from her care company.

Lol why are you mad? Isn't your rent providing you a place to live and a base from which to work/study? Isn't paying rent a normal occurrence in nigeria, and very high rents at that in cities like Lagos and Abuja?

While it should remain a firm aspiration to own one's home in the UK, renting until you get there is perfectly normal and part of the process/journey for millions. It takes time to build up a deposit, excellent credit rating and other factors, so don't feel pressured into buying a house (the biggest purchase most people will ever make) in a short time after moving to the UK.

It's similar to how people jumped onto the bandwagon of trying to acquire one or several credit cards within a couple of months of arriving the UK, some without the basic understanding of how credit works and many damaging their credit file in the process.

Some things take time and in the meantime work hard, save hard and acquire the relevant knowledge.
Everything just hard for this Uk.

Work hard, pray hard, study hard.

God abeg

Well said. Rape is rape, there are no tiers to rape based on if the woman was drunk, "flirting", wearing a short skirt, or even if she had been kissing the man or had had relations with him previously.

If she said no at the time, or didn't/couldn't give consent, then it's rape. Regardless of her age.

And the reality is the law tends to come down more heavily on the side of a white woman against a black man/immigrant, so extra caution is key.
In summary don’t sleep with a woman who has been drinking. Even if you want to make sure you record it when she gave the consent either through Voice note or video.

Guys let’s come together and talk about this rent thing. I have paid over 10k on rent for a single room and each time I think about it it gets me very mad.

How do we break free cos I can’t continue paying this money monthly.

I obtained the sponsored list from the official gov.uk website and set up Noteable on ChatGPT. Was able to output City lists and names to notepad so you can just goto their website and apply

If you like soft work like me and need the list of a particular city, let me know

@semmyk

This is a shout-out to you again. Without your help, I'm not sure this would have been possible.

My family graduate visa was approved by the home office today. This couldn't have been possible without your help when all hope was lost.

Even when the care home I have been working with for a year as a relief worker disappointed me and said they could not give me COS.

Well, this same company is ready to offer me COS now that they know I had applied for a graduate visa. (gist for another day}

Just to input this, this goes out to large families applying for a graduate visa like mine (family of 5); it cost us £10,350.

Visa fees: £822, IHS for 2 years: £1,248 .

Please do everything possible to look for that money. If you apply with your partner without the children, your application will be put on hold until you send in the children's application.

I wish everyone all the best.
Are you september intake?
if yes why the hurry for PSW?

CVlibrary, LinkedIn, Indeed... Not just cybersecurity jobs but all jobs! Adjust CV and cover letter to suit respective application. One needs to be totally committed!

I always say this to folks, applying for a job is some sort of full time job. It can be stressful and discouraging, but the moment one have populated his/her CVs out there, the calls and interview schedules will become overwhelming and at some point one would need to deactivate these profiles...

All of the above is from experience and not hearsay.

All the best.
If you don’t have the job experience employers are looking for if you like populate all over the web, you no go get feedback.

If someone tells you he earns high salaries and you find out he's a pilot for instance, what pointer do you expect him to give you to be able to secure such jobs?

Go on google, type "high paying jobs that are in demand" from the search results you will see skills you need to secure high paying jobs.

Get the skills, go back to google and search for those same jobs and apply.

My guy that is the pointer you need o.
Make sense. Also this country one has to face one industry or else you will just be gallivanting around.

Guys

I'm in a dilemma regarding my tuition and will need your advice please.

I'm in the last semester of my master's and have about £2500 outstanding. The problem is I've been changing naira to pounds to pay to this stage since Form A became unreliable. I'm left with the hope of 2m which is just around £1400 at the current black market rate.

I've told the school that I'm working on it but they won't stop sending reminders. With the look of things I can't pay up until I finish and resume full time employment. I once sent them an email explaining the situation of things how the sudden FX hike has almost tripled the fee from the anticipated amount.

I don't know if anyone else is having or has had the same experience. How are you going about it please? I'll appreciate any advice I can get as the frequent emails and threat of potential withdrawal from the school has started affecting my wellbeing. I don't like being in debt. It makes me worry and lose concentration. Thanks
Try to pay up even if it’s to take a loan. But I think some school will allow you write exams but you won’t be awarded certificate until you pay up.

Omo make una no vex o, this is not bad bellerism or jealousy. But I just dey wonder say for this nairaland everybody dey earn above 50k. E dey surprise me say nobody here dey earn the average UK pay or even below because all the salary we dey see jna 50k and above. Na so someone say him dey earn £49k but the money no dey reach do anything cos him dey repay debt to the wife for bringing him to the UK. The advice he got on this thread is to dust his CV and look for a higher paying job.

To those who are still trying to settle and manage their life in the UK, no let all this big figures for this thread make you come dey put unnecessary pressure on yourself or look down on your current hustle o. E get why. With time, everywhere go stew.

I say make I drop my own 2 cent from my monthly one tenth 😀
Mine is they should drop pointers on how the secure those jobs with high figures. Help a brother

A lot of church goers who pay tithe does it out of ignorance of the scripture, some pay because they believe that God will bless them financially but there is no such thing.

The richest man in Nigeria or Africa is not a Christian, richest man in the world is not a Christian but they all have one thing in common…they have products and services that generate wealth for them.

Nigerian pastors become rich after scamming their gullible members through all sorts of false teachings and fake miracles.
Pastor that drives SUV and moves along with body guard. That’s clearly not Christ like.
