FamilyRe: Nigerian Husbands Abroad Are More Domesticated Than Those Back Home by Leilah(f): 5:41pm On Oct 28, 2008
Not necessarily true, my husband has been in Europe seven years now and his brothers even more, to date, they openly refuse to lift a finger.

They expect their wives to do it all (naija or non) to do it all and work 9-5.

RomanceRe: Why Do Ladies Think That Nigerian Men Are Not Romantic? by Leilah(f): 9:29pm On Oct 27, 2008

But other things will make up for it wink

My husband once said that no african man is a gentleman. At heart this is not possible.

FamilyRe: Perfection - The Wonderful Life of A Good (naija) Wife by Leilah(f): 9:47pm On Oct 24, 2008
Any good 'real' naija wife will agree to her loving husband travel anywhere regardless as he is such a busy man. Thats so beautiful! wow! he dotted the 'I' with a heart wow you are so blessed with a caring husbnd my dear he even left a note for you that he is going away thats so sweet,  I am also giddy with joy when I think of that. he is a man after all and he went out of his way to dot the 'I'.  May God/the lord reward him. God bless you and your matrimonial home. May Allah/God reward you for your good intentions and patience ameen/amen.  grin

FamilyRe: A Racial-marriage Problem! by Leilah(f): 9:33pm On Oct 24, 2008
Unless its another libber trying to teach women another lesson.  undecided

if that is indeed the case its going to be very hard because in some cases, its impossible to teach women a lesson. sad
FamilyRe: A Racial-marriage Problem! by Leilah(f): 9:24pm On Oct 24, 2008
hhhhhhhhhhhhmmmmmm

Well hugger, you can't just turn around and say all european women don't love their husbands and would walk away in a heartbeat. I have seen some of them that are even more patient than some 'ngozies' themselves. Thats like me saying all nigerians are 419ers angry

@Arnold, if I were in that situation (hypothetically) I would also probably quote the word 'igbo' for eg out of anger. Just because she mentioned 'yoruba' twice or thrice doesnt necessarily mean she is a nigerian pretending to be oyinbo why would someone do that? sure we all know how the cookie crumbles don't we? its the condition that makes the crayfish bend so what have we got to gain by pretending to be an oyibo?? -but then again you may know more than I would about this matter to a cerain degree.
Tara where are you please?

FamilyRe: Baby Jinx Is A Man! by Leilah(f): 9:01pm On Oct 23, 2008
I'm getting really worried now!!
FamilyRe: Perfection - The Wonderful Life of A Good (naija) Wife by Leilah(f): 8:47pm On Oct 23, 2008
You forgot to mention babyjinx that a good naija wife will always let her husband go to anyplace in the world for how long he likes and she will always welcome him back with open arms and legs. After all he is coming home to his dearest beloved wife. Good wives will never call up their husbands when they are away on 'trips' instead, they will patiently pray and wait for him to kindly call them, afterall its very good of him to be ringing anyway given that he is such a very busy man.  wink

You should check out the 'good arab wife guide' thats quite enlightening also.
FamilyRe: Perfection - The Wonderful Life of A Good (naija) Wife by Leilah(f): 4:07pm On Oct 23, 2008
babyjinx, my nigeiran sister in law actually behaves in this way, She follows all of these guidelines she worships her nigerian hubby and all he does is cheat on her. She does even more than this, she lets him do anything on earth that he likes and even go to holiday resorts without her. She fell out with me a long time agao when I told her to exercise her rights here in Europe, she told him!!!!
FamilyRe: Perfection - The Wonderful Life of A Good (naija) Wife by Leilah(f): 3:48pm On Oct 23, 2008
baby jinx you are so funny! best I have heard in a long time. You have the skill sand knowledge to release women from modern slavery.
FamilyRe: Perfection - The Wonderful Life of A Good (naija) Wife by Leilah(f): 2:40pm On Oct 23, 2008
Baby jinx and michelin you are simply the best. Your husbands will be so lucky to have married someone with a wicked sense of humour!!!
FamilyRe: Perfection - The Wonderful Life of A Good (naija) Wife by Leilah(f): 7:59pm On Oct 22, 2008
So babyjinx what if his first wife was a nigerian and he fell in love with an asylum seeker? is this how she would handle it?

Ladies, if your husband was shacking up with an asylum seeker would you help her stay and even allow her to get pregnant for your husband and still stay with him?

what if that happened to you jinx? hypothetical situation, would you welcome his mistress and her illegitiame child?

Also what if your partner was shacking up with an oyinbo? (this really does happen for the sex of course)

FamilyRe: Perfection - The Wonderful Life of A Good (naija) Wife by Leilah(f): 8:16pm On Oct 21, 2008
thats just how my mother would have been, the picture even reminds me of her! she was really submissive to my dad may the lord have mercy on him. Didn't really get her anywhere though, b'because he ran off with another woman!

i was raised with morals in 'good old catholic' ireland of the 80's and I tell you we dare not answer our elders back. I mean I know plenty of white people who wallop their kids for the slightest reason. Societies are the problem. Do you honestly think Nigeria is better society?

it is and it isnt I suppose.
FamilyRe: Perfection - The Wonderful Life of A Good (naija) Wife by Leilah(f): 8:14pm On Oct 21, 2008
its society that causes societal turmoil not whether or not a wife is submissive.

FoodRe: Help! The Big Snails Are Moving In The Bag! by Leilah(op): 6:29pm On Oct 21, 2008
I dont think smashing the shells would kill them. Are they land snails? like where are they picked from? or are they farmed or something?
FamilyRe: Perfection - The Wonderful Life of A Good (naija) Wife by Leilah(f): 6:21pm On Oct 21, 2008
"The best Nigerian wives are full time wives and mother. . . don't you get it. Quit your job and stay at home to take care of your man, you are even lucky he allows you to orders takeout and only insults you after the fact, some men won't even let it go that far".

This quote is from the ladies blog.

I think a Nigerian man would not even be happy with these points. He would still demand and demand more.

Ah ha i know what you are talking about!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
