Dont mind him, I see them here in Dublin whistling at african women on the street! I see them, marrried to white women for paper and 'holla ing' at african ladies on the street like the are becoming extinct.

One Ugandan I know got pregnant for a married nigerian man (married to an austrian) she kept the baby and he loves her- not his white wife and spends more time with the Ugandan.

So what if he is married to a white lady! for what I wonder?

Who says he doesnt want you?

There are plenty of naija men here in ireland (where I am from) married to white women and mess with naija ladies.

You're pretty!

So sorry to hear what has happened msshea. It could have been worse, he could have been one that needed papers and married you, stuck with you for years and then dumped you. Wouldn't that have been a lot more painful? this is what happens most white women that marry Nigerians. I may be one of them in the future- who knows,
CultureRe: My Boyfriend's Parents Don't Approve Me, And They Haven't Even Met Me Yet by Leilah(f): 10:51pm On Sep 18, 2008
yeah, some people think that as long as you can clean and cook nigerian food your a blessing. Not true at all. No matter what you can cook and no matter how gleaming you clean the place! you still won't be a nigerian so why bother? love is what is the most important.

I have been disowned by certain family members (from my own side) I just put it on the long finger. For marrying a Nigerian igbo non muslim people have absolutely no idea what I have been true, but know what, after endless pain and confusion I stayed with him. I was told I am like a dog eating its own vomit.

msshea, i thought there was nothing in my relationship seven years ago and I had a little girl for an african american man. I was brought to Nigeria and met all of his family we plan to go again. Six years later all still remains intact. You look like a really cute couple. At least he is being honest with you. If he REALLY loves you he will stay put. Don't worry whats meant to be will be.
CultureRe: My Boyfriend's Parents Don't Approve Me, And They Haven't Even Met Me Yet by Leilah(f): 10:41pm On Sep 18, 2008
msshea, You sound like such a great lady. Remember you are not a naija lady (neither am I) we will never be so there's no point in pretending to be one.

Sure even if he decided to stay with you his parents will always nag at him to get a 'real wife' and have 'real children' if they are that type (sounds like they are) play hard to get with him.

Ladies, ladies for crying out loud having a baby for a nigerian man when you're not married to him will make him not want you even more. Pls don't do that. It will never stop him from going home to roost.

I have thought about that and learned about that one too. I'm not convinced about that one either. I am a humanist.
Christianity EtcRe: You're A Christian, Your Wife Is A Muslim. Will The Marriage Work? by Leilah(f): 11:27pm On Sep 17, 2008
Well i was born muslim. I was married to a beast of a muslim man before and we were both practicing at the time. However, that was NOT Islams fault. technically a muslim woman is NOT allowed to marry a non muslim regardless of whether she practices or not. I did all of what Islamically I shoudlnt have done, I moved on and remarried to an igbo non practising christian born man that why I have been disowned by the islamic community. Its usually only apostates like myself who do these things and have 'this life'-Dunya only and none in the hereafter as I am heading to hell, unless I try to repent that is. There has been times when I prayed and my daughter is not christened.  My husband knows that and accepts that. technically its wrong but sometimes love just takes over. Note* what I did is RARE.

Look, lets face it. Why allow polygamy? man will have mistresses regardless of how many wives he has. He will never stop. Its up to you, live in a polygamous circus if you like. Man (king) wives(glorified slaves) mistresses(sexual concubines) its all in the developing world (mans world)
RomanceRe: Engaged, Pregnant And Competing With A Fellow Nigerian Woman! by Leilah(f): 8:55pm On Sep 15, 2008
How long are you pregnant? when are you due to give birth? can you not reconsider your options?

When i was pregnant I was about four months gone, i was married at the time. However my esx husbands cheating games and coming home late at night made me run home to my family in ireland pregnant. i left him in US and have not heard form him since. I remarried and I am very happy and you can do the same.

FamilyRe: Nigerian Women SPOIL men with their over tolerance by Leilah(f): 8:46pm On Sep 15, 2008
sure look at saudi! they call that islam thats not islam women are treated in someways better than african women. On antoher note, According to islam a woman is entitled to a quarter of the property wonder what the position on this is in Nigeria regardless of religion etc ie what is the legal position on inheritance?

I heard that a woman get none as she is considered to be apart of the property is that true?

Seriously! its so bad, the stories I have heard is so heartbreaking. Thankfully there are some naija guys like sisikill and Siena. Please educate your brothers on how to treat fellow human beings.

FoodRe: Ramadan Recipes by Leilah(f): 3:09am On Sep 15, 2008
There is shorba (soup) it can be made in various different ways. Thats the soup you woudl break your fast with but first u would take a date and some milk. This is general middle eastern ramadan soup but it varies. I don't make them anymore. I would have thought northerners had similar??

There is also boreg basically like spring rolls/filo pastry/samosa style with any meats and veg of your choice.

I have had heart to heart talks with many ladies over here. They are basically working themselves to the bone both in and out of the home. I really don't know how they do it. Their husbands jet off on so called business trips (pleasure sprees in holiday resorts) alone of course without their wife and kids. One lady I told her to sick up for herself and she blanked me as a friend. embarassed

FamilyRe: Nigerian Men = Morons by Leilah(f): 2:35am On Sep 15, 2008
Aoife, not all of them have more than one wife, its dying out. religion plays a part in this also, for eg you will find very few Catholics at that (my igbo husband told me polygamy is a joke).

Having mistresses is the norm which is even worse than polygamy. As a matter of fact they have both polygamous homes and multiple mistresses! but thats only some Aoife.
