jaybeyblu:Hello jaybeyblu I don't even know if you still use Nairaland. But how did it go with your fiance? |
@Bukatyne Told you they'll come for you! |
Have you asked her why she does that? What was her reply? Hang on. If she still opens with her maiden name, does it mean all her methods of identification are still.issued in her maiden name? |
Thank you LagosBoi2. You have shown 1. Marriage is a very beautiful thing when done right. 2. There are good women who stay true to their partners. 3. You don't have to be a "dominant man" to have the love and loyalty of a good and beautiful woman. 4. Tough times are just for a while. It's like the flu. It'll pass. Thanks and congratulations to your wonderful wife. |
speed90:Dude! Don't go down that path. If you have principles, don't bend them for anyone. Not for what people say, not for what she says. You have time to build a foundation with her or to start affresh if she fails. You can only be responsible for what you do so do the right thing at all times. |
"You said I shouldn't talk and let you finish" Savage! |
speed90:Ok. Then you should be old enough to think with your head and not let emotions overrun you. Loving a girl with all your heart is not a crime. It's a good thing, a beautiful thing. Letting your heart and emotions overule reason and logic, now that is the crime. Even the Bible says to be gentle as doves but wise as serpents. So love her all you can. But do not be blinded by it. Love with both eyes open. And if things go wrong, take the pain as one more experience from life and move the heck on. But let's pray nothing goes wrong. |
Acidosis:It's not everytime I agree with you but sometimes it's like you pull the thoughts out of my mind. I've been married 9 years now. I'm earning more than before I got married. I'm living better. I don't need to "red pill" but I am comfortable, secure and established in my home. And I can say this about the majority of marriages in my circle. So if you only see the bad in marriage, change your network of people. |
This question has been asked. Who is the presidency? |
I'm really wondering why I am mentioned in this. I don't know if I should be flattered, worried or miffed. Bukatyne, what do you think? You were also mentioned. First question I will ask is this. How old are you? I'm not trying to be insultive here. But young love especially for the first time is usually strong but fleeting as it tends to be shallow. Not to say there are not couples that met as kids and lived as husband and wife deeply in love to their 70s. So what you may be feeling could be nothing more than a strong hormonal reaction that has little or no foundation for deep affection. Sex doesn't make it any better by the way. In fact, most relationship of this sort are damaged by sexual relations. So how old are you? What's the range? Teenage? Early twenties? |
JONNYSPUTE:Bless you bro for this comment. Awesome. |
SimSify:All well and good. So if you travel far on business or something, would you avoid staying in hotels because of the "many negative spirits"? |
Was any money credited to your account? |
Your "matrimonial altar" is where ever you and your spouse are intimate. Let me ask. If you move to another house in another state, what happens to your "altar"? |
She sues the judge for what? Being a nuisance? And then the case is attended to by the judge's father? Riiiiight. |
osepat:You know there is a better chance you would not be seen as a scam if you use your old account for this. There you would have a better reputation and greater consideration. This way, you are simply lumped into the same basket as the multitude of scammers on this forum |
Someone is trying to remain in business |
Chikaaaaaa:Ok. Ok. Let me ask. Where in Lagos are you? |
Have you heard of this guy? Isimi Taiwo. Best I've seen.

crackkhaus:You misunderstood me here. I said to think the press did it alone is wrong. Meaning the press didn't treat Meghan that way alone. The press was a larger reflection of the part of society that make up their constituents. That's why I brought up the example of CNN vs Fox. I didn't call the press wrong. I called the thinking that the press' opinions were theirs alone is wrong. I'm tired. Lagos traffic was killer today. I'll respond to the rest when I get some energy back! |
Bukatyne I'm going to ignore the OP who started this thread for an opportunity to insult women (that he's not) and wives (that he obviously doesn't have). I would have responded to you in that Harry and Meghan thread I started but it's all drowned in so many comments and responses it's ridiculous. I seem to remember you saying Meghan is at fault for the strained relationship between Harry and the Queen et al. She should have conformed to the ways of the Royal Family. Here, you say it was Meghan vs the press and not Meghan vs the Royals I thoroughly disagree. From what I see, Meghan was fully aware of the responsibilities of marrying a Royal, just like Kate. Meghan also seemed to want to bring the Royal family out of its stiff cultures, just like Kate. She probably felt she had greater leeway as her husband was so far off line to the throne that he had greater freedoms unlike Kate who knew her husband would one day be King. But she did pretty much the same things Kate did. The press obviously gave her no lee way. Amd to think the press alone did this is wrong in my opinion. The press is a reflection of society eg Fox vs CNN in the US. The press also would lean in the direction they are pressured to by people of sufficient influence especially when a scandal has run its money generatin course eg the British press and Prince Andrew. If the Royals had a different opinion from the press (like they so obviously do in Andy's case) they would have pressured the press into cutting Meghan some slack. The Royals (generally maybe not specifically) had a negative attitude to Meghan because she was black, American and divorced very likely in that order. Meghan could feel it. Harry could see it. Harry did what any strong man would do - protect his wife and children FIRST. Strength for a man is turning your back on the negativity of your extended family to protect the health of your immediate family, wife first, then children. You don't choose your extended family but you do choose your immediate family. Bringing a wife into a toxic environment and refusing to defend her is weak and wicked. Where a man has a manipulative wife, well the person who brings a skunk into the house should be ready to clean up the skunk's mess. But he has to know it's a skunk and not just a black cat with a white stripe. *Holla if you get the Pepe le Pew reference Cc Cococandy Crackhaus

Goterry0123:Thank you. I was talking to a friend about the challanges he was facing with his staff. Half of his new employees dissapear after recieving their first salary. It was then he was adviced by a lawyer to pay mid month of the following month. Understand that if you are being paid mid month every month, then your salary is to all intents and purposes regular and you are not being owed. |
Bigval5:I laugh. At what point did I say I pay my staff mid month? And let me guess, you are not an employer of labour. |
Do you know why many sole proprietors pay on the 12th to 14th of the following month? Because many employees are waiting for the end of the month to leave their employer without informing him. They have used their employer's time to interview for a new job (oga, I no well, I no fit come work today), and need to start at the beginning of the new month. So their employer delays payment until halfway into the new month so if the staff wants to leave without giving notice, let said staff leave their salary as well in lieu of notice. One of my ex staff used my vehicle, went for the interview and abandonded my vehicle in the middle of the night when he had deliveries to make the next morning. Abandoned it all and went to his new job. Came back a month or two later and expected to be recieved with open arms! |
I have been an entrepreneur for the last 10 years. I have started 2 companies in the last 8 years, both of which are going concerns. They are profitable. I have suffered from poor government policies, the global economic challanges and village people. But in all I have gone through, by far the biggest issue I have faced has been terrible employees. Too many employees and prospective employess have shown themselves to be lazy, incompetent, criminally minded, wicked and just plain evil. Many one-man businesses have gone under because they have been unable to get good and honest staff. I'm not even asking for exceptional ones - just good and honest. OP has a point. There are many wicked business owners. But there are proportionally just as many horrible employees |

Usually, I couldn't care less about the Royal Family. They fill in blank spaces on my news feed. But seeing the amount of shtick Harry and Meghan have been getting for wanting to move on without the burden of the Royal Family and all its accoutrements, I read up on a few stories and came across some massively biased reporting. Not everything is as it seems, and everything is definitely coloured according to the reporter's bias. Yes, pun intended. Check out some reports of Meghan doing the same thing as Kate and ask yourself why Harry is pissed.

Well, like you always say, if you don't like it, ignore it. The constitution of Nigeria still guarantees freedom of speech afterall. |
crackkhaus:Dude, this is Nairaland. We've all already lost our minds ![]() |
crackkhaus:Bad guy. Why did you edit out the "crushing on" part before I finished quoting you? |
crackkhaus: |
? How have you been treating them
