Not like what i saw that night all the stars were stangnant bt only one was moving at very high speed it was heading south i think

If you see a single star dot moving rapidly across the sky, you're almost definitely looking at a satellite.

Did you stay on ground or you were standing on top of a high storey building?

As long as you have a direct line of sight. I was on the ground between 2 buildings ergo their being seen between powerlines. I couldn't get a better position.

Wow, you're fortunate to see this, what a great angle right there.
How did you do it.

You can use the app Skyview. It has a free version and is very easy to use. Search for Saturn (or jupiter) it'll show you where it is in relation to you. I had to walk about a bit as the buildings around me tend to be quite tall.

Where do u live, if it's Lagos, don't expect it to be visible, such things are usually visible in clear sky and with the aid of telescope.
Don't expect to use to eye to see such even in a polluted environment.

It's visible to the nakėd eye. You just need to know where to look.

Google a star map and check from your location. Or download an app that shows you the sky based on your location.

I just had to see it. Interesting to know that Mars is also visible in the sky close to the moon at about 7pm. I remember getting Mars, Jupiter and Saturn in the same shot 2 years back!

Light pollution makes star gazing difficult in Lagos but once in a while, PHCN wickedness has a silver lining!

Took the picture with a Note 20 Ultra. The zoom made the double "star" easier to capture.

Investment / Re: Wahala dey by LewsTherin: 5:24pm On Dec 03, 2020
A couple of young guys I mentor asked me about themap sometime ago as they were thinking of investing and I own a delivery company myself. I sat them down and calculated it out for them. It was just too bloody obvious that their structure was going to fail. Only a greedy or foolish person would fail to see it.

Wetin dey pain me for the matter is seeing people invest millions in something that is guaranteed to fail and me dey find 6million to buy out a company whose owner wants to relocate.

Person wey get head no get cap. Plenty people wey get cap dey throwey dem caps. I weak.

I don't think the guy started the business as a ponzi scheme. But he definitely set it up using ponzi structures. And like every ponzi scheme, it must crash. No matter how good and honest the intentions of the promoter is.
Family / Re: Joint Account And Trust Issues by LewsTherin: 5:25am On Nov 05, 2020
Should you maintain a joint account with your spouse?
Depends.

Does having a joint account show trust?
Depends.
At the very least it shows there is a level of FINANCIAL trust between the couple.

Would I advice couples to maintain a joint account?
Oh yes, I would. It encourages the couple to talk about their finances, it encourages them to discuss and plan for their future. It's a bonding opportunity.

But then again, it can exacerbate the frictions between the couple and tear them apart. So there's that.

And yes, I maintain a joint account with my Lady. It's a saving account for capital projects. We're currently working towards buying a house. But it's also available for emergencies.

And we know the internet never forgets.

Let this be a lesson to others who want to tow the same path. I wonder what will happen to him if he applies for a job and the recruiters google his name

LoL. The “work” in marriage is what makes it not easy and most people underestimate how much effort of “work” you have to put in a marriage to make it work for BOTH. What you just said is like saying “it’s easy to make money, once you are willing to do the work” duh.

That is the point.

People think the work is too onerous, too stressful. It isn't. While it takes effort, the result makes that effort seem insignificant. Same with making money.

An example I give is sports. Let's say the players of Bayern Munich. How much effort do you think they put in their game against Barcelona. But thrashing a team like Barcelona 8-2! Do you think they'll see their effort as stressful? More likely the joy of such success will remove all thoughts of that effort.

Same with marriage.

However, both partners need to put in the work though.
Family / Re: Marriage: Before And After by LewsTherin: 4:55pm On Aug 24, 2020
Marriage is easy. Once you both are willing to do the work.

It's a lot of work. It's compromising. It's sacrificing. It's submitting. It's providing. It's tolerating. It's more than this.

But once you put in the work, it becomes very easy and very satisfying.

Once I saw the mention all I could say was "Bukatyne has come again" grin

Few things divide opinion the way Christianity and the Bible do.

Also the diverse possible interpretations of the text of the Bible can be as close as a Baptist and a Methodist or as vast as a Pentecostal and a Jehovah's Witness.

But I'm a simple man. Love your wife and sacrifice for her as Christ did for His Church. That's good enough for me.

It's apparently good enough for my Lady too.

OP, your breeding speaks for you. No awoof tendency ? Wow! Please, when it comes to marriage, choose wisely. Do not settle for panda, choose a quality, correct man to match you. Don’t marry anyhow man o! You deserve better.

Gentlemen, this is one of the good ones. If you are in the market for a serious relationship and you are a quality man yourself, you should explore this opportunity. If I were male, single and searching, I would shoot my shot even if it means snatching her from someone else cool

If you have to send t-fare to a female to "visit" you, that is a business transaction where you are buying and she is selling.

At least, you both know the type of people you both are.

In the old days in school, hanging out with some girl around lunch time.

Me: girl, are you hungry?
Girl: (trying to be coy) not really
Me: ok. Wait for me, I'm going to the canteen to eat. I'll meet you here when I'm done.
Girl: (surprised pikachu face)

2nd day
Me: gurl, are you hungry?
Girl: (remembering the previous day) yes oh. I am quite hungry
Me: ok, go to the canteen, I'll meet you here when you get back.

Family / Re: “from Now On, I Will Wash Only Plates Used By Me” – Frustrated Lastborn Prints by LewsTherin: 1:34pm On Jul 24, 2020
Most people think last-borns are spoilt by the parents. Truth is most of us are treated as the unofficial house help. If we don't spark for the family, it continues indefinitely.

It was only after I refused my live-in uncle, got beaten and bloody for that by the way, then refused eldest sis even when momsie said I should obey, before I got some measure of peace. Once I got a place off-campus, I almost never went back home again.

Still stings today.

100K as a man, if your wife is working also, then combine income will help in moving the family to the next level

Also just because you have 100k does not mean that you should born kids like rat

At least on a 100k salary or a combine income of 170k , one kid should be enough until when their is improvement in circumstances.

An individual is considered poor in Nigeria when has an availability of less than 137.4 thousand Nigerian Naira (roughly 361 U.S. dollars) per year. In total, 40.1 percent of population in Nigeria lived in poverty.

https://www.statista.com/statistics/1121438/poverty-headcount-rate-in-nigeria-by-state/#:~:text=In%20Lagos%2C%20this%20figure%20equaled,in%20Nigeria%20lived%20in%20poverty.

100k monthly is 1.2m a year. I have no statistics on this but I'll guestimate less than 20% of Nigerians earn higher than that figure.

That's a lot of people not "worthy" of marital companionship.
