life2017:Nigeria federated system is not practiced as it is in the US. The hidden nugget here is a poly by the Northern states to control 100% of current and future solid mineral deposits/exploration, while they still stretch their hands out for revenue from oil exploration from the South. |
dillinger:Uber does the same thing, the driver don’t know your destination until you get into the vehicle and they start the trip. |
bigtt76:The App don’t send the driver your destination and even if you enter it ahead of time, they don’t see it until they pick you up and click the App to start the trip. The reason, Uber and Taxify gives for this is because, sending the destination ahead of time to the driver will increase driver cancellation. Off course, there are destinations some drivers don’t want to go for various reasons....so the App company prefer to ambush them with that info...because it is hard for you to tell someone already sitted in your vehicle that, you are not going to their destination and they might be surprised and even questioned why you even came. This is the reason some drivers call the person and ask them their destination, Uber and Taxify frond at this practice and can reprimand the driver for doing it. |
donstan18:You have a good point and perspective, but that is not the point of his comment. Someone blasting her that, she made up the story has already concluded that, she is lying and others stating that, she might have dressed indecently have already concluded that, she caused it. I think what Adekunle is saying is the same thing you are saying, that is; don’t prejudge the story or the individual, look at it with an open mind. |
Beckino:You sure say no bi tangerine size eh bi? |
BruncleZuma:I truly believe that, these trying times make NYSC more relevant. If for nothing else, it serves as a way of cushioning today’s graduates from the hard and harsh reality out there. Many graduates realize this and spend their NYSC days saving money with which to launch one business or the other. Many learn a skill or two...if you really a wise student, you can make that one year NYSC incubation period work for you. Please, if you are a corper or about to be one; let that one year work for you. There will never be another time in your lifespan, where you will have very little responsibility, less pressure, less demand and still be earning money, month-to-month. Learn a skill, save money and you will have some cushion once you pass out; if you don’t and don’t have a Godfather out there, you find out the harshest way that, out there is a jungle and the fittest sometimes get eaten up. |
godfatherx:Most don’t, plus buildings with structural designs have also collapsed in advance enclaves. Buildings collapse for many reasons, inadequate structure is just one of those. Question for you: Because not everyone sick person that is taken to the hospital survivals, will you as result refuse to go to the hospital when sick? |

sarrki:No one is denying him of any right. OBJ just like anyone else is voicing his opinion and as a citizen, he has the right to do that. Ultimately it is up to PMB to seek the ticket for a second time or not, but OBJ simply put him on notice publicly that, he will not be supporting him this time around unlike the last time and that he will canvass against him....which is also his right to do. |
jdluv:You know if na grandmama butter him ministry? Ladies always celebrate the ‘ends’ and despises the ‘means’, especially if the means is not mainstream. But irrespective of the ‘means’ once the ‘ends’ is achieved, they will state flocking in for the celebration. |
I don’t have anything productive to say, even this comment is not productive and I have wasted 5 seconds of your precious time, that you will never ever get back. |
Gbemishile1:I believe that, they have a statutory marriage; in which case, she is protected by the law against Inlaws. Any wise lady today will go for a statutory marriage for fears of the future and Inlaws. |
AleAirHub:I don’t know, if it is the right or wrong place...no ones knows the most effective avenue...but, going by her outburst, that was not the first occurrence and she must have tried other avenues with zero success. Don’t underestimate the power that the court of public opinion have on our celebrities. They worship a good public image and will correct all and any mis-give in order to keep that image shining. |
LesbianBoy:There should be boundaries, the guy was acting like a spoiled kid and not like a grown man. Based on her outburst, he must have deprived her kids of those tickets. She was fighting for her kids against a full grown adult, who is robbing them of what is rightly theirs and for that, I commend her. |
felixomor:My brother, I have studied. Jacob did not tithe, I challenge you to cite where he tithed. As I indicated before, and you can durst up your Bible to confirm...in Genesis 28, God appeared to Jacob and in a dream promised to give him the land upon which he was laying for his possession ..Jacob in response promised God that, if He did...he will give back to God one tenth of the land, which will be his possession. As we, Jacob was not given the land before he died and never paid the tenth he vowed to pay. I will appreciate if your response will include a reference to where Jacob paid tithe as you have alleged and not the Gen 28 passage, where we all know that, he just promised to do it on some future date. |
Amarabae:It looks more like the coronation of a King than the inarguration of a President. Just a passing thought.... |
felixomor:You through cannot say it existed....Only Abraham tithe as a sign of worship to God and was not a regular practice nor was it commanded or obligatory of him. Jacob and his whole generation never tithe....We did not hear anything about tithing also during the Generation of Isaac. It definitely, was not a practice required of pre-old testament believers and anyone referencing the incidence with Abraham as a poly to make it a requirement for post-old testament believers does not have any scriptural bases. The tithing that Abraham did is akin to thanksgiving in today's church settings...The tithing that Pastors are demanding has no resemblance to the tithing that Abraham did, but copied the obligation of the tithing of the laws, while neglecting to follow through on how the law actually stated that tithing should be carried out. |
CaptainJeffry:You are correct, my bad...I skimmed through your post. |
CaptainJeffry:He was not talking about Freeze, go read it again. |
felixomor:Pastors using the tithes mentioned before the law as justification for collecting tithe ‘by faith’ today don’t understand the scriptures... 1. Abramham only tithe once in his life time. Him paying tithe to Melchizedek was an individual act of worship, he did not do it again; neither was it recorded that, he passed on the instructions for his descendants to do it. It is therefore not an example for Christians to follow just as much as Christians of today, do not take their first born and attempt to offer it as sacrifice unto God, simply because Abramham did it. 2. The other time Abramham mentioned tithe was when he was about to go rescue lot...And he did not vow to give his possessions but the spoil of war. So, you can see the pattern here; he use tithe as another way of Thanksgiving and not as an obligated act. 3. Jacob did not pay tithe. In Gen 28; God in a dream told Jacob...”the land on which you lie I will give to you and your descendants”...this was what motivated Jacob in the same chapter to promise and say..”of all that you give me, I will surely give tenth back to you”. Jacob was talking about the land that God just promised to give him and not his personal future properties. As we know, Jacob was incapable of paying tithe and he did not redeem this tithe because he did not get the land as promised before he passed. Again, this is a one time promise by Jacob as a worship to God for promising to give him the land and a promise that Jacob did not keep...So, there is no example to follow here. 4. If tithing is mandatory as been preached today, Jacob would not have ‘vowed’ to give it. You don’t make a vow to give or do something that is required of you. Therefore, the tithe preached today must have been retrieved from the laws and these Preschers are skipping to mention the law, because they know that, their bases is not sound in the law; hence they point to Abramham, Melchizedek & Jacob. |
asuustrike2009:I made reference to the Bible and the context of Jesus’ teaching based on the specificity of the question he was asked. I did not insert my own understanding or private interpretations...you that are saying that, Jesus answered the question of marrying one wife that was not asked of him along with the question of divorce that was asked are the ones inserting your own understanding. You guys made reference to what he said about God creating man and woman (and not women) in the beginning. This was an Old Testament scripture, he didn’t command those who had more than one wife in the Old Testament; he didn’t say, now am giving you a new commandment, etc. Going to the beginning; God clothed our first parents with fig leaves and animal skins...he never cloth them with cotton, fiber, etc...I guess it is a sin to wear cotton, fiber, etc. In the beginning he created heaven and Earth and two big lights, including the stars and commanded the bigger (The Sun) light to watch over the day and smaller (The Moon) one over the night....despite the limited view of that Genesis passage, we still believe that God also created Jupital, Mars, Venus, etc and not just Earth...Mars have two moons, Jupital has 16, Saturn have 53 moons, etc...noon of these were mentioned in Genesis, but we still believed that God created all. My point is, there are lots of things we don’t know and we are threading dangerous groups when we make rules and laws based on areas that the Bible is silence. Agreed, you can make a personal commitment to live a certain way, based on how the Holy Spirit is leading you, but don’t preach to others to tow that path and try to justify it by some inferring what you think the Scriptures might be saying, when it was not expressly saying it. The only scriptural bases against having more than one wife, is the qualification of a Bishop or leader in the Church....Paul enumerated all the qualifications in 1 Tim 3:1-7; and some of the qualities include not violent, not a drunker, able to teach, not a lover of money, husband to one wife, self controlled....Yes, he was talking to believers-born again folks and if you still doubt it; another condition is; he must not be a new convert....aka newly born again is disqualing just as having more than one wife. |
bloodmoneyspita:The Code of Medical Ethics in Nigeria is against all and any medical or dental advertisements; be it self, services, skills, know-how, etc and he was clearly advertising his services. The code did not mention hospital or clinic...read it here: https://www.medicalworldnigeria.com/2013/09/code-of-medical-ethics-in-nigeria-on-advertisement-by-members-of-the-medical-and-dental-profession What he did was against the code of Medical Ethics, it does not matter if he puts the name of his hospital/clinic there or not. |
asuustrike2009:You failed to read or understand that passage within the context. Jesus was asked a question about divorce and his reference to they becoming one is to emphasize that, divorce is not permitted; because if you only have ‘one’ you can not separate it. Many Old Testament leaders had more one wife, the only place in the Bible where one. Wife is stated is through Paul and he gave that as a condition to becoming a Bishop, if all the born again Christians in Paul’s congregation had only one wife, this condition would have been unnecessary. Plus, not once had Paul or Peter preached to their congregation about divorcing all their extra wives, unless you believe that, every single person that got born again then we’re already in compliance. |
somehow:I have been following this topic, and I agree with all your points, except to mention that divorce is permitted under certain conditions... Matt 5:32, 19:9 States one can divorce if adultery is involved. |
felixomor:You are correct, my point really is... it will be hard to find enough Christians today, who will agree that using condom or taking sex enhancement drugs or herbs is sin. |
Why is it that, most ladies when a guy suggests they should go on a date; the first thing that fill their head is....marriage or he want to have sex. That is not the case all the time; the guy just want a change of scenery, or a shot term relationship, or a platonic relationship, or just a conversation, or just someone to bite dinner with, or they just want a distraction from loads of work, stress,etc....it could be a lot of other reasons. Go on the date, enjoy yourself; if he brings up something more intimate and you have an objection, let him know and turn it down. But, don’t go with preconceived notion or pre Judge the intents of the date; you might just be wrong. Be open minded, enjoy the moment, but be self conscious, also have an input in the location of the date...enjoy life, it’s too short to start clogging our mines and hearts with wanton thoughts and pre judged conclusions that may not had been intended. The dictionary definition of date is...”a social or romantic appointment”. Let’s stop focusing more on the ‘romantic’ aspect, it is only about 50% of the definition, the other 50% says, it could also be a ‘social’ appointment. |
ajl:You made a decent point on limiting the access, the true is, tracking cell phones is not a secret. Every Telecom provider can triangulate your true position, by looking up the cell tower your phone is currently camped on or the last set of towers it was made contact with. It should be made regional and once a kidnapping case has been opened, the contacts of the suspects, victims and families should be tracked...Yes, I mention victims and families because, it a trying time, the suspects would maintain contacts with victims family so they can know when their loots will be made available and some families might fall for threats from the kidnappers not to corporate with the cops, etc. |
OceanmorganTrix:That is my question as well, another report had it they were released after paying ransom. The most logical explanation is that, they were lured and ambushed with the ransom payment; the ransom was paid, the police then waited until they released before engaging the hoodlums and some managed to escape most likely with the loot. |
felixomor:Lasciviousness is a sexual overtones and behaviour that are not the norm and natural. It is a moving target and changes with each generation...during the Bible days, using condom or taking herbs or medicine to enhance one’s sexual prowess can be seen as lasciviousness as they clearly deviates from the norm and natural use of sex in those days and settings. Today, in certain part of the word sex dolls can be seen as lasciviousness, maybe ten years from now, it might just be a norm. |
It depends.…..... Having sex with a doll is a form of mastubation. The question is, do you consider mastubation a sin? The answer varies...I know Christ Embassy does not. |
kimbraa:Online dictionary defines emotion as:...”a natural instinctive state of mind deriving from one's circumstances, mood, or relationships with others” Based on the interview and the guy’s response it appear that he is emotionally connected, and according to him, the emotional void of loneliness he use go feel are now gone! |
