Religious-wise is the most dangerous slippy-sloop.

We have traditionalists, who still worship Africa native gods and they have their adornments, we have Revered Fathers/Sisters who are lawyers, CAC people, Cele people, etc, etc....If you allow the Muslim adornment to sip into a circular approved uniform, then you must allow the adornments for the other religious groups.

Anything don religiously incline have the potential of igniting conflict in this country....That is why in every federal of civil service complex, if they build a mosque, the Christians will start agitating for a church and if it is a church they build, they Muslims will want their mosque.

Are you afraid I will think you have sniffed some cannabis in secret? cheesy Was that why you added the disclaimer? wink

Anyway, I saw a few of my classmates getting high on marijuana in the university, so I have seen how quickly it can cause people to experience altered states of reality, faster than tobacco even does. The nicotine in tobacco causes addiction, yes. But from my observation, marijuana gets people more high, than tobacco can ever do. sad

To benefit from the THC and CBD (i.e. cannabidiol) in marijuana, the plant has to be processed into oils and supplements, in order to extract the THC or CBD. Smoking or sniffing marijuana will not deposit the THC or CBD in a usable form, in the smoker. undecided While THC is psychoactive, CBD is not.
The above highlighted portion of your comment are contradictory.

THC is the psychoactive substance that causes the high in smokers as you rightly indicated.....which means, THC gets into their body via smoking. Many medical marijuana prescriptions are not oil based and not made into supplements.

Does tobacco make you high, or cause you to hallucinate?
Marijuana does not make anyone high and does not cause hallucination, in any way that tobacco or alcohol does not and marijuana is safer.

All three substances are addictive and when abused cause some level of altered reality and perception and of all three, only marijuana is medicinal. As second hand smoke; I will prefer to inhale marijuana’s THC which is medicinal than tobacco tar, which is cancerous any day any time.

You don’t have to be a smoker to know that, knowledge is power, hit some google pages. Cigarette and alcohol are more dangerous and will kill you faster.

Plus, marijuana is a natural growing plant, no processing done, unlike the others. It was created by God and in the garden of Eden, it must have been there, because God created everything and yet, there was no commandment to Adam not to part take despite such command regarding the fruit of wisdom...and I can bet you that cigarette or tobacco or alcohol was no where in that Garden, because all these are man made.

FYI:
I don’t smoke, but I make a point to get enough knowledge about topics I don’t know, especially concerning those where my personal experience is lacking.

The choice to invite a citizen under investigation is discretionary, it is not a statutory practice. You cannot file lawsuit and win on basis that you are a known person and should be invited. That's sense of entitlement.
That is not his bases based on the above statements...

The EFCC by their own admission dug a hole for themselves. They stated that, the reason they invaded his house and arrested him in the manner they did was because they invited him and he refused, plus that he had previously jumped an administrative bail.

If that bases is found to be a lie, then the whole arrest becomes questionable and could be concluded to be done to defame him and damage his character in the eyes of the public.

However, Black successful men really need to be careful when marrying white women so they don't lose everything they worked for. Emmanuel Eboue's story comes to my mind...

If you want to marry a white woman, especially in her country, you need 10 different lawyers to read the terms and conditions to you 5 times a day and twice on Sundays!!! grin

When you marry a white woman, expect the unexpected during
divorce.....#BeGuided
Not true!

Emmanuel Eboue was his own undoing and not because he married a white lady. Had he married a black lady even from his own country of Ivory Coast, I doubt if it would have been any better.

With great respect to him, the guy was an illiterate and ignorant; anyone with such combination of traits deserves to be taken to the cleaners. MMM took the mighty and Educated among us to the cleaners, talkless of the illiterates & ignorate ones.

Tell me, this guy signed & append his signature to every single piece of legal document his wife put in front of him without a care in the world....He hand over all finances to his wife for management....he sends almost 90% of his pay check back home to his wife without asking any question....believe me if you are a guy and are that clueless to do the above, I don’t care if you marry an illiterate girl from the village; you and your money would soon part ways, period!

My point is, he blindly trusted his wife with all legal and financial matters, signed all dotted lines without asking questions and he was not educated and ignorate....If you do same to a girl even from your own village, sooner or later she is going to take advantage of you and take you to the cleaners.

I have a gf who got a job in the US for which she applied from Nigeria. Interview was on skype , now babe is flexing life in the US
It’s a scam.

You don’t get EAD like that and if your story is true, your gf was not given an EAD and it was not for low level hotelier job.

Your gf, probably got an H1b visa for high tech job in the US and after her Skype interview with the rmployer. The employer then send her visa application to USCIS in the US....this take months if not more than one year for approval.

After, she set up an interview with the US embassy in Lagos or Abuja, went to do medical screening, police report, etc etc and a stamp was placed on her passport.

No courier service was involved, the employer wouldn’t even know she got the visa, since the local embassy that will issue it and the fact that USCIS in the US approved the application does not mean, the embassy will give her a visa; so there is no way she will get an EAD & Visa issued congratulatory message from her employer in US informing of that fact...she is the one to inform them.

A public proposal is all shades of wrong. It gives the partner (usually the girl) two choices:

Accept the proposal or humiliate the man in public.

Of course, the person will most likely say yes but one will never tell if the proposal was accepted in love and honesty; and not that they were boxed into a corner.

This rubbish must stop in 2017.
It is just a proposal and not wedding...more proposals have hit the ditch than making it to the altar.

If you don’t want the guy and saved face by accepting the public proposal, nothing stops you from throwing the ring at his face at home, when it’s only two of you and take a hike into the sun set.

There is even no yardstick to Judge the ones done in privacy, if they were accepted in ‘love and honesty’.

Am not in any way advocating for public proposals, neither are mine against them, whatsoever make him or them happy...my point is, the lady have a choice and no one is bind to marry a guy....simply because he proposed openly.

But, when the danger is over, there is not point defending yourself; there is no point going in the offensive all in a bid to 'teach them a lesson'. I truly don't see why this lady would still be in prison till this time on account of some stuff she published against some pastor?.....

This is 2017 everybody has a smart phone and the internet is ever present and a case between these two companies will be closely monitored and always on social media. there will be evidence upon evidence because both parties have an image to protect. if he is innocent let him defend himself in the court of law, he is rich and can afford a good legal representation. nobody stops his business from operating.

we complain about corruption in Nigeria yet whenever there is a process to deal with corrupt Nigerians you all pick up ur phones and type rubbish because the internet is available for every idiot to spew thrash.

its obvious Nigerians deserve the leaders they get.
Firstly, There is not case in any court of law for him to defend. EFCC has not filed any charges....He is responding publicly to EFCC public response and display of a document they say, they filed or intend to file...But according to him, he has not been served any court proceeding and based on his legal team's knowledge about court cases, since the EFCC public displayed document have a temporary number, it means it has not been filed.

Secondly, anytime the prosecution in any high profile case; came out and make a public statement about a case they intend filing in court or has filed in court and even go to the extend of uploading that document to the public...any defendant and a screw businessman must response publicly as well. You can't sit idea and allow the Prosecution, who suppose to be professional run a media circus with the case.

Based on past experiences, we know that this case will go no where....so, the only knowledge that the public will have about this case is the current media circuss from EFCC, GTB and Innoson; and he will be doing his brand a great damage if he does not file a public rebuttal. I believe he is not naive about the court process either and must have gotten a good legal team behind him...otherwise, he would not have been winning multiple rounds of the current case with GTB, which GTB had appealed to the Supreme Court after they last lost at the Appellant court.

It is surprising that, you didn’t quote any Bible reference to support your claims.

Yes, I saw your half-hearted reference to what Peter did in the Garden to one of the soldiers, but you conveniently forgot to include that Peter was wrong in doing that for which Jesus rebuked him and Jesus had to go ahead and clean up Peter’s mess by healing the soldier Peter attacked.

Agreed, an eye for an eye is the way we think as humans, it is natural and even supported by the Old Testament and Moses Laws. Jesus Disciples were in the same dilemma and had to approach Jesus for an answer....that is when he told them not to practice the eye for an eye doctrine, but show rather turn the other cheek when smitten on one.

Chill,and handle ur case well.
EFCC has not filed any case, he has not been served. EFCC made this matter a media one, and he has the right to response via that media. If they had filed the case, they would have served him before rushing to the media.

Yes, what he is doing is what any screw businessman should have done. As a businessman, your public image matters a lot, you might win a thousand court cases behind close doors, but if you allow your public image and reputation to be tarnished without taking them heads-on publicly, your business and patronage will soon nose-dive...hence in addition to legal department, most good companies have the PR department.

You also saw GTB making a media publication on the case, then EFCC....and people want him to just sit by and wait for the court process, when even the people charged with prosecuting the case fairly are not?

If he didn’t response now, most people will say, he must be quilty, hence you could not defend his case. In fact, the case before the Supreme Court now only gain media prominence because of this case, GTB and EFCC would have taken that route as well.

Anytime the Prosecuting team goes public about a case they intend filing or had filed in court; the defendant must also response publicly.
