It is very bad, unrealistic and always will end badly, if we try to please everyone, it does not work, there is absolutely nothing wrong in saying no.

You did him a favor, he was expecting you to house through his adulthood or until some future unspecified date.

Call him, tell him that you will like him to leave that it is no longer convenient, then give him a month or two to sort himself out.

You made a mistake of allowing him in without first discussing the length of time he was to live their, make it right by discussing it with now.

We should learn to tell people if things hurt us and should not be afraid to say no.

OP, you are comparing apples with oranges as long as you did not include realistic living wage in America vs Nigeria....

Your US Average professional monthly salary is for which profession and which city? Even Janitors in the U.S. collect more than twice that amount. If that salary figure is correct, it must be in a remote rural area in the U.S. where $900 can rent you a mansion per month.

e.g..Average minimum wage in the U.S. is about $9/hr (some States are more). This is wages for someone that has no education....e.g. a laborer, a factory worker, office cleaner, officer messenger, etc....

That is $1,440/month = N288,000.00/month......minimum wage in 9ja is about N18,000.00/month.

Now, use these wages to adjust the cost you enumerated above.

the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), in continuation of its forex curbs, has said that such cards would not be allowed for crossborder payments.

http://newtelegraphonline.com/cbn-restricts-use-of-naira-denominated-cards/
Can some1 tell me how this will increase the demand for naira and reduce the demand for forex; which in turns increases the value of Naira?

If you use you naira denominated card abroad, there is demand for forex at the point of sales as your naira is sold (supply) and the local currency is bought (demand) to pay for your goods and services.

If you force people to get foreign domiciary accounts, in a bid to fund their account in Nigeria...they will sale their naira (same supply) and buy dollars of pounds (same demand).

The only difference is the number of transactions and frequency of transaction...in the former, you will generate multiple small small forex over time, with the later, you will generate a large forex over the same period of time.

However, if you look at the macroeconomic aspect, whichever approach you take, you will end of spending approximately the same amount, so I don't get it.

You cannot rely on the absent of an implicit to prove something else. I can turn the same analogue back to you and ask...'Did the Bible say they were not the the children of Mary? Also, in each Bible passage when they were referred to as Jesus' brothers, they were never called Joseph's children either, therefore by your own analogue, they are not the children of Joseph either. I am lost at why you put emphasis in the face of these overwhelming evidence that, that since the bible did not explicitly use terms like 'children of Mary' then they are not...the bible also did not use the term 'children of Joseph'.

You have to accept that, your doctrine of the eternal & perpetual virginity of Mary is not supported by the scriptures..Mat. 1:24-25; "Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had Biden him, and took unto him his wife; And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son..." Which means Joseph did not disflower Mary until after he gave birth to Jesus....Meaning Mary was eventually disflowered by Joseph her husband that had been warned by the Angel not to divorce her but instead take her in, as his wife....and based on other scriptures, they went on to have other kids together after Jesus.

Jn 7:1-10; Jesus' brothers went to the festival while he stayed behind.

Acts 1:14; His brothers and mother were praying with the disciples.

Gal 1:19; James is Jesus' brother.

It is clear that Mary & Joseph birthed other kids after the miraculous conception of Jesus.

Okay time to finish this tread! Neither the op nor his supporters said BVN was bad. We suggest that the ids of everyone in all the world may soon end up in a single database (something like that). That this may pave the way for a massive central authority that no one can oppose. Let's not forget that e-business will continue to grow (and shops may even dissapear after 1000 years!). Remember there was barter b4 the money thing came. Cards, numbers and identity things may end up adjuged better than money later! Then.............. BOOM anti-Christt. No one is saying it is not inevitable (it will happen as prophesized); we are just begging to be GOOD CHRISTIANS kiss
I got news flash! The anti-Christ does not need your huge gigamous world class database or e-commerce centralized or conglomerated repository to mark people.

People that Pendle these falsehood under the name of Christianity, shows their ignorance on the subject and lacks the biblical teachings on the subject.

Rev. 13:16..."... Also it causes ALL, both small and great, both rich and poor, both free and slave, to be marked on the right hand or on their forehead"

There are millions of unreached people in the world today, millions upon millions that are not part of any database, they are not connected to the rest of the world, many of them still living primitive lives, no bank account, no cell phone, nothing! But the bible said ALL will be forced to take the number.

We are very mistaken to think that, the anti-Christ is going to be a natural being and such, he will need our human stupid database of world people for it's outreach. This belief is as a result of lack of understanding of the scriptures....the Anti-Christ is a spiritual being, they will operate in the spiritual dimension to bring about the physical changes they sort, so they will not need your world class antiquated database, nor will it be of any usefulness to them but those database and BVN number will be useful for the Nigeria government to fight crimes, so do not forget to get yours and do not put doubts in the mind of others thus preventing them from getting theirs....

Also, the mark or name of the beast will be an inscription on the forehead or on your right hand...and this was repeated over and over in the bible and it is not figurative or a cover for some statistical numbering system at CBN or the government office or some world wide server of database of people's identity.
Christianity EtcRe: BVN & The *666 Mark* by linearity: 3:13pm On Jul 05, 2015
Nonsense at the highest order!

The bible said, 1.)The mark of the beast will be inscribed in the forehead or on your right hand. 2.) You will be forced to receive it. 3.) You will definitely know that, what you receiving is the mark of beast i.e., it will not be disguise as something else, or done under the cover or with pretense.

The beast which will be the ruler of that day, wants people to publicly honor him, sworn allegiance to him and be branded openly and wear openly these marks that identifies with him and shows that, they are into allegiance to him.

I am surprise how Christians twist this passage, when the bible had shown us something similar....it will the same as it was with Deniel with king Nebuchadnezzar, you will be publicly identified as to belonging to and worship the king or not. There will be no secret under the cover thing. Those who eventually accepts the mark, will do so willingly after forced persecutions, denial of food or ability to buy or sell.

Your comment about database is misplaced. Since you are able to to open this comment, I guess you created an account on Nairaland, guess what? You are now part of a database, Nairaland stores it's user profile in a centralized database and they gave you a profile I'd just like everyone else, I guess by that, you now have the mark of the beast.

Governments from time immorial has been enacting one thing or another to assist in governance, Jesus' parents submitted to be counted by the government of the day. These types of programs helps government to organize and plan...

If you not gotten your BVN, quite this idiocracy and go get one as your current hullabaloo is not grounded in any scriptures and biblical soundness.

What you are missing is that, even if those 50 APC Senators were present, they would not have prevented the inevitable of electing Saraki.

Senate needs 55 votes to elect Saraki, which is the simple majority, i.e. If all 109 Senators were present at the election and voted. 57 Senators were present at the election and all 57 voted for Saraki.

Also, few days after, the APC's anointed candidates lost to Saraki allied candidate in the House.

The problem here is, Tinunu and PMB are not taking into account that, the APC that gave them the majority in the last election is not the same as the same minority APC of the past. The current APC is made up strange bed fellows...these people have their own interest and they left PDP because the party refused to listen to them, and it will be fool-header to force some APC leadership supremacy down on them.

The only way for APC is to seat down, recognize these individuals that gave them the victory and compromise with them. You cannot ask them to come to battle with you and then Lock them out of the sharing of the bounty.

If it is true, there is no need to be alarmed. The dollar is a more stable currency compare to the Naira...

If the exchange rate is $1/N200, it means you have N10k in the bank, if tomorrow the exchange becomes $1/N250, your $50 will automatically become N12k5, you got free N2k5, just like that.

Though, i doubt the bank will be that stupid to dash people free money, that is why you should not be alarmed, as you N10k will still be N10k no matter what the exchange rate becomes, though it's value will reduce, eg if the exchange rate becomes $1/N250, that $50 will change to $40, na the same N10k.

My guy politics don't work that way anywhere in the world, you are elected to implement the manifesto of your political party which must be beneficial to all, you must first of all align with your party structure and identity, that is why when we vote, the names of the contestants are not on the ballot papers but that of the party and the Logo, chikena, may be when our constitution allows for independent candidates what you are saying here may suffice but for now, Party supremacy is key. PMB was naive of this at the beginning
You guys are not learning from past mistakes, this is the same attitude that made APC's anointed candidates to loss the headship at the Senate and in the House.

Yes, Saraki was a factor, but remember he was able to convince the majority to go along with him. Even if you attributed the Senate vote to a coup that prevented the naived APC Senators that chose to go and welcome PMB instead of attending their inaguration, what about the defeat that APC anointed candidates were given in the House.

APC should realize that, the majority that gave them the landslide in the last election came from different factions and interests. These various factions had only one goal in mind, i.e. to win and remain in the power. They do not care about party supremacy or party interest....in politities, there are no permanent friends or permanent enemies, just permanent interest. These deflator to APC did not drop their various interests at the door when they joined APC and they are not permanent friends with APC, they joined APC because at that time, that is the party that aligned more closely to their interest.

Instead of forcing party supremacy on the Senate, I think APC should start thinking of how they will governor....because even with their majority in Senate, it will be difficult for them to pass meaning bills that aligns to their priorities....e.g. APC have 60 votes to PDP's 49...on any bill, PDP can be guaranteed to produce all their 49 votes, but with the various factions & interests in APC, I doubt it, we saw that played out in Saraki vote....all that is needed to defeat any of their Priorities is 6 deflating votes and it is very easy to get those votes.

So, APC should be wise and know that, there is no unifying interest among it's current politicians and they should stop thinking that the APC that gave them the majority in the last election have the same interest, cohesion and unity as the previous minority APC and as such, the more you force party supremacy, the more you start tuning off many Senators and it is bad for business.

If APC want to be a true majority, they must come to terms with the diversity and ranging interest within their current formation, discuss them, allow everyone to air their interests, then find a way to address or compromise; forcefully commanding everyone to toll a single line only walk at the barracks and PMB should know the difference. He is not commanding an infantry battalion and this is not a dictatorship either.

SHALL WE CONTINUE TO LIVE IN SIN THAT GRACE MAY ABOUND?

GOD FORBID lipsrsealed
Grace in this context references Christians and not unbelievers.

There are a few definition of Grace in the Bible, a few of them are: 1. Unmerited favor. God's favor to the ill-deserving. 3. Unmerited favor. 4. Unconditional Love.

While God has extended His Grace to all, only believers who have accepted Him are parting from the benefits of this Grace. He showers his blessings on them, though unmerited; He washed their sins away, though unmerited; He reserved a place in heaven for them in heaven, though unmerited; He bestowed righteousness to them; though unmerited.

However, He will punish the sinners, He will wipe the wicked from the earth, etc.

For the believers who enjoys God's Grace; He also told them, 'confess your sins to one another, so your Heavenly Father in heaven will forgive you'...meaning as a believer there are times you can fall from Grace, times you will fall into temptation, but God expect you to quickly raise, confess your sins and make amends.

But Paul in cautioning believers not to take God's Grace towards them in vein and abuse it...in addressing the Believers (not sinners) in Rom 6:1-2, he said..."What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein.

1 Corinthians 6:9"... Despite the fact that there are several Bible verses and teaching that goes against this perversion:Eg Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not

neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers,
nor effeminate, nor homosexuals,
Leviticus 20:13, 'If there is a man who lies with a male as those
who lie with a woman, both of them have
committed a detestable act; they shall surely be
put to death. Their bloodguiltiness is upon them.
Romans 1:26.
.
I do know why some Christians lack understanding and are hypocritical in their position on this topic?

note that, there is no law against gay, lesbian, fornication and all the abominable acts you mentioned in the U.S. Before this ruling. In my opinion, this ruling did not change anything, does not affect righteousness, does not affect the kingdom of God, does not make sinners.

This ruling only came about because Government decides to meddle in marriages and attach benefits, rights and privileges to it; had Government stayed away and not give tax benefits, rights, etc to certain group of citizens while denying same to others, this would not have happened.

Christians completely ignore the bible in their tirade, gays or lesbians marrying or not marrying is not the problem, the problem is sex outside marriage between non-heterosexual couples. And all sins are abominable, a liar will go to the same hellfire as a lesbian or gay person whether married or not. A fornicator or aldutery will be their best friend and room mate....with this understanding from the bible's perspective, why don't we see our beloved good Christians calling for laws against Fornicators, laws against adulteries, laws against men who uses condom because they do not want to get someone pregnant or people that withdraw before they 'come' thereby spilling their 'seeds' and we should ask the government to throw every single male that looks after a woman to lust after her in his heart into jail for 10 years for committing a fornication, which is an abominable act in the eyes of God.

Lastly, these are sinners do not put the law before grace in front of them. The law was a stumbling block in our quest to reach God, hence Christ came to remove it. Do not compare yourself and your ability to ignore and run away from sins with sinners lack of will power or the fact that they wallow in sin...you have the Holy Spirit, the most potent force in the whole world that is enabling you to do that, if the sinners can do what we can without the Holy Spirit, then of what use is the Holy Spirit?

Finally, the bible says, let him that have not sinned cast the first stone. Remember that God has not given up on these people and it is your duty to preach grace and Christ to them and not the stumbling bock of the law in front of them before they receive grace, do not preach the law to them, sinners do not have the empowerment to keep the law, even the ones that keep a few laws, they are self-righteous and will still go to hell. Our goal as Christians is not to make people self-righteous.

Don't allow your anger to be a hinderance in treating these people with love and respect as God's own image, don't allow it to think that, they are worse sinners compare to the guy that lust after a lady in his heart or the casual liar.

I am heterosexual and married with kids, I am happy that SCOTUS ruled in their favor and allow them to marry, now they have the same benefit, rights and privileges that I have been taking for granted for years. We are now on even footings, the playing field is even between us. It makes evangelising these people easier, they will no longer close their heart towards me because, they hated the fact that, as a married person, I get to enjoy certain benefits that they are denied. We are all on the same footing now, it makes my work more easier. Also, this law brings them out of the closet, this helps evangelizing because we now know them....just imagine how easier your evangelism will be if there is a big marker on the forehead of every brother or sister that lust after the opposite sex?

Let's thank God for this ruling and try to see and capitalize on the positives as Christians, as for negatives? If you know the bible your conclusion will be that, there are no negatives...they are sinners before, they are still sinners now. Marriage does not make them more of a sinners and I do not see them any differently than the next guy or lady that fornicates or the alduterous colleague. And I do not see them as less of a human than myself or equate myself higher than them because they engage in certain things that I do not, because I know that, without grace and the Holy Ghost, I might have been worst and will not have the empowerment to resist temptation, I am nothing without Christ and cannot blame someone without Christ for doing certain things.

My primary focus will be to preach grace and Christ and assure them that, it is the work of the Holy Spirit to enable us to sin no more and that, they should allow the Holy Spirit to do his work and I will have faith that, since God has not given up on them yet, I will be patient and also have faith that the Holy Spirit will finish what he started in them. I will not preach the law to them, because it is foreign to them and it might make my effort worthless if they begin to obey the law and mimic what I do without genuinely accepting Christ and allowing the Holy Spirit to do the work of eliminating sin, because I have just made them self-righteous, which is worst, since they can now hide under the cover of their self-righteous but the end result is the same.

The resultant effect of these many pressure by Christians is to make sinners to be self-righteous and due to our efforts, we have millions of self-righteous 'brothers' and 'sisters' in our congregation today. They do those things just to please us and we pat ourselves on the back for 'bringing' them to Christ, we will be shocked on the last day to see them in in hell and ourselves rebuked or in danger because, we emphasis the law to them above Grace, Love and Christ and unsurp the place of the Holy Spirit in their life in leading them away from sins.

We humans read books and stories because we can relate to them or imagine the possibilities of it happening, once the story become illogical or inconsistent, we detect the lies, we know it is fake (which we already know, but do not want that rude fact to interrupt the our mindset and the alternate reality that we are enjoying from reading the book/story).

1. You live in one out of five apartments, it is not plausible or related that you will have a maiguard exclusively for you. The landlord can have a Maiguard if he/she lives in one of those apartments, in that case, maiguard will not attending to ur gen.

2. Why will the maiguard behaving questionably? It is out of character giving the setting. Why will he knock, then hide himself or crunch down?

not a good habit, but in reality if i tick all the boxes they want eg confidence, working under pressure, resourceful, solution oriented and i use dat word, i wud still get the job ok #fact, interviews go far than u think. the worst interview i ever had was for my current job
That was before, there are many other candidates that are equally qualified or more qualified than you.

You should also understand it from the interviewers's angle, I have been there before; where you have 10 equally qualified candidate for a single position and at the tail end, you have to eliminate 9 candidates, so it becomes delicate at that point and if you really want to eliminate the 9 positions objectively, then responding to a question with a 'yea' is an appropriate disqualification criteria especially when the interviewer had given you the first warning like the OP stated, it shows you that, there is likelihood of you been casual where professionalism is needed and you have little control is drawing the boundary even with warning.

By doing that, you just made the job of the interviewer much more easier.
