I do not think, the problem is politics par say.

Politics within the context of Nigeria is a dirty game, full with bribery, corruption...It will be very difficulty for a christian to go through a highly contested political position in Nigeria without compromising their christian stands, hence it is better to stay away.

Yes, it is possible to be in politics and be a true born again christian, but the temptation you are exposed to are heighten and more severe. It is also very unlikely to be called as a Pastor and at the same time be in politic. Pastoral callings are full time job.

Some mention King Saul, etc in the Bible; note that they were not the Pastors or Spiritual leaders in Israel when they were kings. They were not called to be Pastors, they were kings and that is what they were anointed to do.

One alternative is to leave the church and their rules then join another church but he said his hearts and conscience won't let him.
They do not have to do a big wedding...meet with the pasto and explain situation, the pastor fix one Saturday after meeting in the, call both of them plus some few church people and pray and join together, e don finish bi that.

OP, tell me that you are lying that, in 9ja you need a police report before an hospital can treat an emergency, even if it is a fresh gun shoot wound.

What happens to common sense? Have a protocol in place that immediately calls the police while the victim is been carried in. This way, you get a shot at saving lives and police get to do their investigations.

Haha ! The same Obama that funded ISIS with $500million back in 2013...Oh I forgot back then they were called "Syrian freedom fighters". People need to wake up. The west are very well involved in this. They eliminated Saddam , Destroyed Iraq . They funded rebels in Syria, Weakened the Syrian army / government and then all of a sudden ISIS springs up from NOWHERE! They played the same script out with Gadaffi and the Libyan government back in 2012 and guess who show's up in Libya a few years later? ISIS! The whole arab spring was a hoax, the real deal was to start the end time tribulation and the Armageddon. These Western powers are all evil. Gaddafi and Assad wouldn't succumb so they decided to destroy their country. I really don't know what ISIS is yet or what their agenda but I know that there are forces , powerful forces behind them.

The US is known to fund small separatist groups worldwide who appear to have a noble cause to e.g. display dictators in their countries. This is more easier and less expensive compare to sending American Soldiers that would need congressional approval.

History also bears it out, that when those groups goes out of line and start acting out a different agenda, especially detrimental to the US interest and objective. The US comes down hard on them...The Talaban is a good example, the US funded them for years against the Russians, but also went to war against them.

I do not think the US is actively behind the current ISIS activities, they have been bombing them for some months now and the President is asking for war power to go after them big time....are you supposing that is pretentious?

Linearity, your lack of understanding of lexis and structure is what is very evident here considering that your first sentence lacks an 'of' between 'lack' and 'biblical'. It made me want to ignore your exposé (or lack of it).
I would however; take time out of my very busy schedule to educate you for the sake of others who are reading this.
i. When I said 'burn incense' I'm sure the picture you had in your mind was of someone in red robes carrying a small burning stick. Wrong.
My dictionary defines incense (the noun) thus: a. An aromatic substance, such as wood or a gum, that is burned to produce a pleasant odor. b. The smoke or odor produced by the burning of such a substance. I am sure that if we are not talking about electronic cigarettes, every other cigarette fits this description.
ii. Unless you agree with me that the cigarette smoke is burnt to the worship of God, then it is obviously burning to fulfil some purpose, I leave that to you to decide.
iii. Your last sentence nails it. If you have observed people who smoke very closely you would notice that something actually comes out of their mouth when they exhale (I might be wrong though, please help me confirm when next you see a smoker).
I will have to leave the grammatical and lexical reconstruction and correction of my sentences to you and focus more on the substance of the post, more so as it appear that you clearly understood my point.

And No! I wasn't imagining anyone on red robe burning incense, as your comment did not conveye that. You basically placed all act of incense burning into one bucket, then colored it one shade aka sinful; and as I pointed out, that is not accurate, because...apart from the fact that, there are two extremes to incense burning (on one end, to Devil which is sinful and on the other end to God), there are also shades of grey in between that are also not sinful and as such, your view is not only myopic, but also unsupported by biblical practices and injunctions.

Secondly, you failed in your interpretation of that Math. 15:11 text....Jesus was speaking within the context of 'what comes out of our mouth as sinful' in reference to our words, utterances, etc and not an exhaled smoke due to smoking cigarettes. FYI, one does not exhale smoke when smoking electronic cigarettes, I guess that would pass your narrow interpretations and be categorized as non-sinful, while the other type of cigarettes are sinful, you can see the resultant inconsistency from your out of context rendering of that biblical text.
HealthRe: STIs: The Facts You Need To Know by linearity: 11:44am On Mar 05, 2015
HSV-1 is not an STI or STD......only HSV-2 is.

And as you indicate a higher % of people already have, around 80%. Most people first contacted it as kids from their parent during those innocent and playful mouth to mouth kisses, feeding kids and licking their spoon 'clean' while feeding them, etc.

Except some periodic breakout as cold sore in the mouth, it is harmless.

But HSV-2 is an STD and breaks out in the genital area.
Christianity EtcRe: Is Smoking A Sin? by linearity: 3:28pm On Mar 01, 2015

Smoking is a sin. Jer 44:8 Why do you provoke Me to anger with the works (idols) of your own hands, burning incense to other gods in the land of Egypt, where you [of your own accord] have come to dwell temporarily, that you might be cut off and become a curse and a reproach (an object of reviling and taunts) among all the nations of the earth?
A smoker burns incense, definitely not to God.
Your lack biblical understanding is palpable. You just quoted the bible out of contest there.

That passage is against 'burning incense to other gods', it did not condemn the burning of incense itself. Even in the Old Testament, which was the setting of that passage, the Isralites burnt incense to God in worship.

Fast forward to the New Testament, the three wise men brought incense to Jesus. So, there is not wrong in burning incense in worship to God or when we do it at home to add fragrance to our house, event or to drive out insects, it is only a sin when the object of the incense burning is to idols or other gods.

Back to the topic of smoking, agreed it is a bad habit, it leads to health issues but it is not a sin. Eating sugar lead to diabetes and death, consuming Palm oil leads to high cholesterol and death, not exercising regularly is harmful to our health and just like smoking, these things are bad and harmful to our health but they are not sin.

Mathew: 15:10-11, says what goes into the mouth of a man does not defile a man but, it is what comes out of a man's mouth that defiles him.
Christianity EtcRe: Is Smoking A Sin? by linearity: 5:13am On Mar 01, 2015
So those advocating that smoking cigarette is a sin simply because it contain harmful chemicals that eventually leads to death aka suicide and suicide is a sin....

Using that logic, are you advocating smoking marijuana aka igbo is okay? If you look it up, there are many scientific research backing up the medical potency of Igbo, infact doctors worldwide prescribe Igbo for some illness just like your doctor give you prescription.

Another logic, if the negative on cigarette is about the harmful chemicals, why do you guys take prescription drugs prescribed by the doctor? Harm you read the packaging and label that comes with those prescription drugs? Some gradually destroy your lungs, livers, kidneys, give you ulcer, dizziness, headache, low/high blood pressure, fever, etc.

If you are taking a position base on absolutes, you do not choose and pick; you define your premises and every thing that does not fall-in must be sin, there is no need rationalizing some, thereby excluding them.

disclaimer:
I do not smoke but I take prescription medicines, and by your conclusions...I am destroying God's temple by so doing, and I must be sinning by that singular act and not worthy of getting into heaven.

The bible says in 1Corinthians 3:16-17 ESV;

"Do you not know that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in you? If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy him. For God's temple is holy, and you are that temple."

Just like Madmadu said, an average cigeratte contains more than 200 HARMFUL CHEMICALS... And the bible warns us not to defile our body because it doesn't belong to us....
I think I will rather follow Jesus....

Mathew 15:10-11:
"After Jesus called the crowd to Him, He said to them, Hear and understand. It is not what enters into the mouth that defiles the man, but what proceeds out of the mouth, this defiles the man."

Smoking of any Stuff that produces smokes from your mouth and noses is dangerous to your health. It is like taking a knife to kill yourself. It is suicide. Suicide is a Capital Sin before God. It is also like smoking bokoharams and suicide bombers into your country to kill yourself and your people. It is suicide, a sin and murder also a sin, double sins. May God help you.
Using the same logic, not exercising which is harmful to our body and leads us to live a shorter life span (aka suicide) than God intended is also a sin.

Eating too much sweet, sugar, fat are all sinful because they are harmful to our health, damage and destroys vital body organs (aka bokoharams and suicide bombers) is also a sin.

disclaimer:
I don't smoke, never smoked in my life... except when I was in Primary 5 and saw the beautiful commercial of Benson and Hedges on TV and been that my mom was selling them, I sneaked a stick, gave it two or three buffs and realized that, it was not making me feel as great as the commercial depicted, I threw it away in disappointment. So, in the the spirit of full disclosure, I have smoked about a total of one tenth of a stick of cigarette my whole life.

SUBCONSCIOUS being the key word...
Meaning you can't tell
Subconscious does not equal to you 'can't tell', it just means you don't have focal awareness or forethought or pre-planning, we sometimes call it absentmind in 9ja....but after every subsconscious event or action, if you look back; you will be able to narrate what happened to a T and more importantly you will know the effect of that subconscious action and be able to tie the cause to the effect.

e.g. While driving home from work yesterday, I was so lost in thought thinking about the current state of affairs in Nigeria, that I drove off the road, hit an embankment then rolled into a ditch. Now looking back, I know exactly what happened, I know what caused the accident, it was me over think about 9ja, I know the effect of the accident, my car is damaged, I have bruises and cuts,?the ambulance came, etc...this is completely made up story, but you get the point.

Child development is in stages, at 6 months; they do not have that kind of awareness and it does not affect them. Am not saying, it is the right thing to do.

Even when child become of age and are aware, they are innocent and don't attribute anything negative to that action until society and parents starts polluting their mind.

FashionRe: 5 Main Habits That Make Your Boobs Sag & How To Correct by linearity: 9:32am On Feb 23, 2015
On the contrary, wearing bra eventually leads to saggy boobs and there is science to back it.

the support that bra provides for the boobs makes them to develop less musles to support themselves thereby making weak with passage of time and easily sags when left one their own.

If you don't wear bra, the boob continuously develops musles to counteract the gravitational pull thereby allowing them them to maintain their shape over a more extended period compare to bra strapped boobs.

You can proof this out with any part of your body, if we take the legs for example, if you start supporting and suspending them thereby making them not to exact their full weight against the gravitational pull downwards, after a while they become vet weak and lazy because of degenerated musle growth and if their is no muscle to maintain the shapes in your legs, they start sagging and grow out of proportion....please ignore the wrong typos, no time to read back.

Honestly, its 'men' with boyish brains that use that as a criteria in choosing a partner. Real men, go for what they want, what they see inside the woman. And not just physical attributes that would eventually sag and lose shape.
Dude! spoiler Alert! everything have the potential to sag and lose shape, even those over rated 'inner qualities'. Many ladies who married bother from church because, he was so spiritual are now regretting their decision, because brother has backslide and he no longer goes to church or behave like a christian.

My point is, go for what you want in life, follow your heart and chose what makes you happy. Love means different things to different people; some want a tall handsome christian brother with at least six inches below, others are looking for big bank account, they donot care if it is 2 inches down there, some guys like big bosom, others like a sexy lady; still for some; the girl must come from their village, some want a lady that will be totally submissive and others will prefer a lady that can standup to them and call them on their BS; others needs their parent's to chose for them, others prefer their pastor to do the choosing, many kneel down, close their eyes and pray and chose whatever they see in dream or what the holy reveal to them, others jump at any slight opportunity without giving it much of a thought...If it makes you happy, go for it...after-all, nothing is permanent under the sun, everything loses shape, shine and lustry with time and tide.

Most men don't care if their wife is a virgin and contrary to what you read online, majority of men would prefer a non-virgin, at least let someone else take care of the blood mess before they take ownership.

His husband must have felt that the wife purposely miss lead him and since he loved her (based on her story), he is lost why she even told her the unnecessary lies of been a virgin in the first place. This will make the husband to find it difficult to trust her or would try to independently vet her, going forward.

She should talk to the husband and tell her what her mother narrated.
