Adeniyi A.:Kanu under went heart surgery in November 1996 to replace his aortic valve. This can easily be verified by a simple google and as such no need to paste any link. |
deejay_harry1: WHITE-OCHAAre you sure the 'Obara' is not just a derivative for blood and since blood is red people just identify with that color? |
Annie2gud: Lol...this must be very tasking. However let me try.The isokos calls Red..(iredi)blue(i blue)white(ofua fon)the rest i dnt know how to put them to writing.Lolz almost Bit my Tongue.I think you only got the White right...The Isokos have vernacular for the three basic colors we identify with...White is Ofuafo, Red is Owawa & Black is Obiebi....after that we became very lazy and start using the English derivatives like iblue or eblue for Blues, etc... |
crispgg: Some guys have even come up with a way to bypass the 4 digit code.Am not really bothered about these compared the ability of some1 to use a locked iPhone with iOS7 to make calls... The first exploit shown on the video requires one to get the finger print you used to lock the screen as much as that is difficult plus the person have to guess which of your 10 fingers you used to lock the phone, also if someone steals the phone, they will not be able to get the finger prints unless they were able to guess which of your 10 fingers was used and cut it off as well as steal the phone. The second exploit can be mitigate by disabling 'Access on locked Screen' in Control Center under General tab. My major concern is that, one can make calls from a locked iPhone screen and there is no way around this..... |
Ugojames: You need to understand that this, security feature was meant to secure more than just access to the phone itself, it should secure sensitive data which the phone would have access to.I did not see anything in that video that suggests that the data in that iPhone were not secured. The guy programmed his own finger prints into the phone and locked it. Then transfer his own prints to another material and used that transferred print to unlock the phone. He already have access to the print that was used to lock the phone aka his own finger print. Assuming you are the owner of that phone and you locked it using your finger print and the phone unfortunately fell into the hands of thieves, how are they going to have access to your prints as demonstrated in this video to unlock the phone? With numeric four digit pins, the thieves have about 152k retries to hack the phone and access your data but, with the TouchID, without access to original prints access to the phone and your data is secure. |
How is this hacking? You still need a known finger print to unlock the phone. Hacking have been ability to unlock the phone when you do not have access to the original finger prints. This demonstration does not even qualify to be called reverse engineering, talk more of hacking. This is like me sending my iPhone to a friend across country and repeat my four digit pin to him over the phone, he transfer the four digit pins he heard from his ear piece to his fingers and key them into the phone to unlock it. It is well known that finger prints can be lifted from one material to another, that what crime investigator use to trace criminals....but without the original prints nothing can be done just like in this case. |
dominique: Well coke has been in existence for over a century and it has not been implicated as a direct cause of death of millions over the years. There used to be a tim ei took a bottle almost everyday but i've reduced my intake of soda all together. We can say the same think for cigarette...borrowing from your own words..."Well Cigarette has been in existence for over a century and it has not been implicated as a direct cause of death of millions over the years..." You feel like taking a smoke break now? |
Why is it always 'Slow Men at Work'? Can't they ever get Fast men to do the work? This is how they will slow slow slow and come vision 2020, the road is not finish.. ![]() |
greatwaters: Please where is the racism here? Is it in the 'WHITE' or in the 'DUDE'? Is saintfiet not white? Is he not a dude? Abi na hermaphrodite? 'If he wants to talk to fifa, he should go back to Belgium. He's not an African person'. What part of this statement is racist? Keshi is only saying that If he wants to talk to fifa he should go to his country because fifa is not based in Africa. So, again, where is the raccism? You will see the racism only when you look the whole sentence....he called the Coach a white dude and as such should leave African and go back to his country....implying that as a white dude, he has no business coaching a black African team, he should go back to his country and coach white teams. Had only called him a "white dude" that would not have been racist or had he ridiculed him to back to His Country since he is not comfortable with the security situation in African, that would not have raised any dust, but the implied interpretation of combining both is made it racist. Look at it the other way round, Nigeria have a lot of Players playing abroad...how do you think they will feel if one of their team mates publicly make a statement like "Mikel is a black dude and he should go back to African" to a news organization?...believe me if Mikel report file a grevience before FIFA, they will investigate it... FIFA is not in Belgium as much as it is not in Nigeria or Malawi. One don't have to be in his Country of origin to file a complain with FIFA...had he even said he should go to 'Zurich' FIFA's HQ, that would have been foolish, becos Keshi would have known better than that and it would been a slight against FIFA. |
Youths with clubs and fist are gradually becoming the first responders in Nigeria. The Police are merely the Prosecuting and bribe collecting agency of this new order. The lady, knowing this turns to the youths instead of wasting her time calling the Police, good job to the lady trader and bravo to our youths, the frontline enforcers of law and order in Nigeria. Imagine how differently, this would have turned out had the trader called the Police? The most likely outcome is, the Police will not show up or in the event they showed up, the guy would have long gone, leaving the trader holding the fake note. The Police wanting a payday or bribe out of the situation will ask the trader to wet their palm, if she refuses; they will charge her to court for possessing fake Nigeria currency, the Judge will not believe her version of the story since she does not have the resources to bring in the real culprit or in the real situation where she knows and bring in the real culprits; in an attempt to cover their tracks, the Police will prep the guy and he will lie on stand against the trader and she will end up in Kirikiri for years all because she thought the Police is her friend and she called them instead of the Youths. On a side note, if 15 fake currency notes were found on this guy, why was he only charged with one count of possessing fake currency notes? The IPO should borrow a leave from their US counterpart and amend the charge sheets to 15 counts...moreso, this guy admitted in doing this for the past three years... |
pendusky: 33.7 DEGREE CELSIUS CANT MELT ANYHNG, THEY MUST BE SOME OTHER THING THAT FOLLOWS! MAYBE THE THATS MAY BE ANOTHER INVENTION FROM THAT SCENE IF CAREFULY STUDIED.It is obvious you did not study science in high school or you skipped class the day the science teacher was teaching reflection, refraction, concave lens & convex lens and all those calculations Concave lens concentrated the light rays and heat into a concentrated spot, thereby doubling and tripling the heat felt by that point/area.....that is why you can use the sun and mirrors to light fire....heat is felt heaviest by objects positioned about halfway between the mirror and its center of curvature. |
They should allow the Governor to serve and enjoy his mandate. You guys can call his current mental abilities, 'incapacitated', or whatever; but most of you will at least agree that His current mental abilities is at per with majority of the Governors in Nigeria. If Nigerians can tolerate the current mediocre and incapacitated services of most Governors today, they should also let this man serve and enjoy his mandate just like the other incapacitated Governors... At least we know that his incapacitation is medically induced, meaning there might be hope albeit slim for a cure or recovery but for most Governors, their incapacitation might be genetically induced which is incurable. |
I am not in any way against what was just attributed to the T.B Joshua... In General, when I see and hear the responses of Christians towards wars and the rumors of wars...I find it hypocritical and unbelieving. The Bible clearly says, these are the signs of the end time the coming of the lord and that these things must surely precede the coming of the Lord...I thought when these things start coming to past, the Christians will be joyous not that people and properties are going to be destroyed, but that the Lord coming. Is praying against war not praying against the Bible and the very hope of Christians, which is the Lord's coming? or Christians do not truly believe what they are preaching? It is just like praying that Sinners should not be burn in Hell Fire because of the resulting unbearable pains. I am not in any way advocating for wars, in fact I am in no position to do that; I am just saying that Christians should believe the Bible that clearly stated that wars are necessary and unavoidable evil. Jesus himself said, in this world, you shall have no peace and he was not talking to sinners; he was talking to his disciples....Today's Christians want all the Peace they can get on earth...Sometime I can't bring myself to identify with worthy projects like..."Pray for World Peace" without disbelieving the Bible...The only 'World Peace" I know of is the 1000 reign of Christ on Earth, but that is not the goal of the various 'World Peace' initiatives and prayer sessions... The Bible said, when these things that I have spoken about come to past, you should take comfort in the Lord..we were not instructed to Pray against them...How can man even pray against God's own prophecy, the actual thing that God have ordained that will take place... |
It did not say he won N120million, the scholar is designed for N120million annually and he is one of the 14 winners....something like N120million divide by 14 minus expenses. |

Symphony007: What sort of mislading headline is this? The u.s congress has'nt approved anything. The request just got a 10-7 victory on the u.s senate armed services commitee, it still has to be voted on in the house of representatives comitees before final general votes on the floors of both chambers of congress. That is when we can say military action has been approved. This nairaland frontpage become more trival, frevolous and dumb daily.Chill out...the heading is still correct na...OP did not say that the measure have been approved by Congress or Senate...he only indicated that, it has won the backing of key congressmen and that is true... somewhere below, the OP even stated and I quote... "...votes are expected to be held in the Senate and House next week, with the Republican-led House presenting the tougher challenge for Obama..." |
drnoel: Funny enof I see Singapore on the list of African countries with major airports. I didn't know Singapore was an African countryYou sure say u read the article so? Singapore Changi Airport was not mentioned among the African Airports; it was mentioned in the world category as the best in the world. |
The heading is misleading, Russian is incapable of warning the US...it would been written as .."Russian beg the US not to intervene in Syria until the Inspector finish their work". Agreed, the excesses of the US is too much and many would wish they be history, the truth is; it is easier said than done...with its stockpile of arsenals for the US to be History, it will take the whole world with it. Imagine how the simple mortgage crises that started in World Street, NYC spread like wildfire and even took down the economies of many countries. In an all at war with the US, I do not care the number of combined countries on the other side, it will not be an easy war. Furthermore, lets assume that the US become History; who do you want to fill the vacate superpower position? Is it Germany? China? Russian? Japan? Iran? Saudi Arabia?..who? Do some research and see how these other countries had used their powers in the past or how they are using it in their little hemisphere today and imagine allowing them to lord than over the whole world. |
So na Ethiopia na him the 'international' flight come from....una for just say 'International flight from Ethiopia landed in Enugu' and I wouldn't have border reading... I have been celebrating since far, thinking that the flight came across the sea from some destinations either in Europe or North America...seeing these pictures now have deflected all my joyousness, thanks to the OP.. And if that is an international airport, I hate to see the picture of a domestic or local airport. ..yes! I said it! it is now your turn to abuse and curse me out all you want...go! take your best shot! |
nelklyn: Although systems with private IPs do not connect directly to the internet and computers outside the local network can't connect directly to such systems, and having an IDPS even detects and prevents malicious intrusions. Don't assume it cannot be hacked. NAT only reduces your vulnerability to the outside world. What if those sahara guys have a mole inside their local network? Who is creating the backdoors for the hackersIDS/IPS can locate the source and isolate internal threats. |
Fhemmmy: I think it is all about what you consider as begging, if they approach you and say something like "Oga how now, anything for the boyz?" i dont see that as begging, it is up to you to give or not . . . But if they are aggressive about it, it is a different story.I think you are confusing 'begging' with 'extortion'.......'anything for the boyz' is begging....'aggressive..anything for the boyz' is extortion...the former is not necessarily a crime but does not convey the image of that Bank in a good light, the later is a crime. However benevolent you might be, it is not advisable to start giving people money when exiting the Bank, you do not know which criminal is loitering around watching & waiting for their target customer to exit the Bank that they will follow and rob at the turn of the corner.. |
Presidency25: There is no difference IF your tablet is strictly gospel related stuffs i.e it must be dedicated to the things of God alone, no worldly songs, videos, apps, etc etc as it is written, “I am the LORD; that is my name; my glory I give to no other, nor my praise to carved idols.” Isaiah 42:8You make sound as if "worldly' apps, songs, videos, etc are only offense to God when installed in a tablet that doubles as a Bible.... These days am lost at what pass for "worldly" apps, eg I have the following apps on my iPad...Lastpass, Forex, Youtube, Ezeye, Bible, Holy Bible, Google Earth, Maps, Netflix, Music, iTunes, facetime, Videos, etc, etc....which of those apps are "worldly" apps? |
Anuoluwap: Don't worry, when evil spirits known as 'ogbanje spirits' come to confront you, you should also strike back with your tablet bible. Omo devil go just dey dance limpopo for your head oh!At the mention of the name of Jesus, every kneel shall bow...not at the strike of the Bible...Paul, Peter and the early apostles do not have Bibles....and Jesus was not carrying the Bible with him..but he said...greater things shall you do.. |
Christians should also take advantage of electronics and technology to further their spiritual well being... I take my iPad loaded with my Bible to Church every day... I find it very convenient...It comes with many versions, and I can switch between version within seconds, this keep me in step with the Bible passages in Church and the preacher because our church invites many preachers and they all do not come with KJV...but whichever version the Preacher have, I am there. Plus, I also can flip to Matthew Henry Commentary, Strong's Concordance, Bible Maps Collections, Adam Clark Commentary, Cross References, Wesley's Explanatory Notes, Nave's Topical Bible, Geneva Study Bible, etc and many many more study materials and do more instant in-dept study about the verse or passage the Preacher is expatiating on...plus, you can click to the Hebrew/Greek Interlinear and instantly appreciate the meaning of the origin/root Hebrew or Greek word the Preacher is talking about. On top of these, this Bible is also Audio.....easy to set it up by your Bed side as it reads the word of God to saturate your mind each night as you float into sleep... Those of you that have done in-dept Bible study and are familiar with all the above study materials will understand the volume we are talking about physically and the share effort it will take to take them with you from place to place... |
It is time to drop a firewall in front of the web server, assign a private IP address to the server and let the firewall handle all in coming traffic. All SYN, half open TCP, POST, etc attacks will be dropped by the firewall and your server can be happy again...plus attackers will no longer be able to attack the server or reach it directly, since private IPs are Internet routable. If you want to step up the fight, throw is an IDS, though an IPS would be better and you will be ready to take the fight back to the attackers. |
Egypt was and is still an experiment by the west on 'how to control or tame a terrorist majority" The Muslim brotherhood is a known terrorist organization to the West and they are influential, when the west pushed for democracy in Egypt, they know that, with their majority and influence, the Muslim brotherhood will win. The experiment by the west was that, with the burden of leadership, responsibility of ruling and accountability to their own people and international community; the Muslim brotherhood will moderate their terrorist activities and governor. Morse, was their point man, they supported him not because they like him or actually want democracy in Egypt, but it is a marriage of necessity and as other marriages of necessity, the love affair will only last as long as the needs are met. Morse, proved to be incapable of reining in his flakes, the Muslim brotherhood. The west was surprise that morse is not calling the shots and instead behind the scene brotherhood individuals drives the agenda.... The results from the experiment was not favorable and the west kicked into gear 2, started a negotiation with morse to quietly handle over government to a moderate, Moros refused and myopically thought that he is untouchable.....that was when the Egyptian Military came-in to take care of business...there were negotiations literally between the west, Egyptian Military until the last hour before the Military walked in. Now here we are......in the mist of this madness, some calm heads are mapping out the next phase of this experiment behind the scene....sometimes when a man gets a responsibility like marry a wife, gets a baby, he moderates his partying, drinking, clubbing, wasteful spending, etc he become hommy and all that...that was what the west was counting on but as we all, not all men moderates after getting life responsibility just like the Muslim brotherhood....the statisticians are still crushing the numbers.... |
Lucasbalo: That's my number 1 pet peeve whenever i am in Nigeria. Its very barbaric. The second one is people not using toilet tissue after u know what. Instead, they use water. It's very annoying and unhygienic. To the country water, then watch your hands with antibacterial soap or wipes is more hygienic compared to tissue paper. |
homesteady: So after all the insults we showered on the sales-girl, Oprah was wrong! She is sorry for naming the country, some reading comprehension is what the Doctors are prescribing for you. |
slinkman: ...I simply told her that it was like the one I held in my hand, only much more expensive, and that I could show her similar bags...I think the sale lady is trying to embellish the encounter to make minimize what happened...all you just need is to look at the above comments that she made, it is not even logical. This is a narrative of what the Salesgirl is saying happened: Oprah: Can I see that bag, the one up behind you. Salesgirl: That bag is like this very one I am holding but much expensive. Oprah: But can I see that one? (this second ask might not have occurred, but based on the respond from the salesgirl below, it can be inferred to have occurred) Salesgirl: I can show you similar bag. In essence, the salesgirl by her own admission never show her the actual bag she wanted but instead try to divert her to other bags...her only reason given is more expensive...it more like a used car salesman's tactics...and you will agree rich people do not have patient for those used car salesmen tricks..if it were me that need an actual stuff and you keep pointing to alternatives,I will be pissed off too... |
Yoshi-Master:I beg to disagree, when you are about to take a nap and a flying mosquito is disturbing you, the less of your worries at that particular moment is not Malaria, is the inability to sleep. So, vaccine or no vaccine, as long as Mosquitoes are not eradicated, the businesses you mentioned above are going to still be striving.. |
Can you explain why, scientifically....when one have pepper in their eyes, licking salt will instantly clear the pepperish eyes? We started this practice as kids, off-course passed down by parents, even till today it works every time like magic. |
Great Trend! Wonderful conversation going on here, I have painstakingly read through all the comments here and this is my takes... I believe that the Rapture and the 2nd Coming of Christ are two distinct and different events...Well, that some will say will put me in @Shdemidemi's & not in @JesusisLord85's camp...Well I do not see it that way. @JesusisLord85, your writeup and historical perspective are good, but it would have been better, if you start from those very scriptures that @Shdemidemi quoted about the Rapture to explain to him that, those Scriptures were not actually talking about the Rapture but the 2nd Coming. @Bishoppapi summed it up nicely, but he omitted the Rapture part, which is still good...As you rightly said, at the second coming, Jesus' feet will touch ground on Mount Olive...have you paused to contrast that with 1 thess 4:17, which is one of the Rapture Scriptures.."Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air.."..There is no earthly landing during the Rapture, thr touch point will be.."..in the air.." @Abeskey, nice job there on the chronological series of the escathology events... ...Also, I do not believe that the doctrine of Rapture is a deceit from the Anti-Christ. Believing or not believing on the Rapture does not have any bearing on one's faith or Salvation...afterall we are all learning and there are lots of things we do not know yet. The main purpose of the Anti-Christ is to turn people away from Salvation and the Lord. So, I do not subscribe to the view that Preachers that do not preach certain things or got certain complex doctrines wrong are anti-christ or false prophets, If they are teaching salvation though grace and that you must believe that you can be saved only through repentance and the blood of Jesus wipes away all our sins, they are not anti-christ...The anti-christ will never led you directly to Jesus. Rather the believe in the Rapture makes those Christians who subscribe to it, to be 'ready' because it could happen anytime, within a twinkle of an eye...now to @JesusisLord85's point will these Christians be disappointed to see themselves passing through the Great Tribulation and there was no pre-tribulation 'catching away'? Some may, but they will already know what is next to come and not to receive the mark of the beast...and might make it through the tribulation with their faith in tact..Also, there is no guarantee that those Christians who are bracing for the pains to come during the tribulation, will all make it in tact.. The truth is, there is no amount of preparation you can make for pains, so I do not believe that the Christians who do not believe in the Rapture and are preparing for the pains to come during the tribulation will be better prepared than those who think they will escape it via the Rapture... That said, we are all learning and I am open to @JesusisLord85's view more so after studying the following link... https://www.logosapostolic.org/bible_study/RP355-PostTribulationRapture.htm I will advise everyone serious about this topic, to take the time out to study the above link and the scripture verses, it clears a lot doubts about the Rapture, Second Coming, etc...and with Scriptural references. |
