How would sitting beside a window on a commercial plane result in 'giving you fresh air'?

Where the fresh air dey come from when the windows are shut? Once the doors are shut, everyone shares the same pressurized oxygen circulating throughout the plane, there is no fresh air.

mikkyphp: Guys Guys Guys...Stop the Cynicism

This is our first attempt, whether or not it is a toy purchased over the counter, the fact is that the UAV has been modified with the addition of on-board cameras and GPS to perform pre-defined tasks within its ambit. the GCS is quite impressive with the ground mounted mobile radio antennae; though i am not sure what its maximum range is.

With this display and proper PR, they could get proper funding to expand the program to incorporate other features and capabilities - possiblly carry arms.

NAF has not come out to say they invented it, neither do they have any interest in re-inventing the wheel. Lets cut them some slack.

I believe with proper vision and funding, this program could be expanded and go a long way in securing our borders, providing relief in disaster areas, beaming live footages, aerial pictures of BH strong holds....etc...who knows, maybe jumia will use it to deliver parcels within the lagos metropolis using an octacopter grin

good work boys!
Based on your yardstick, I should be parting myself on the back for the 'ingenuity' I displayed by wiring a GPS system, two internal cameras (one facing front and another facing back), then a backup camera on the license plate with a dashboard view plus an inbuilt Bluetooth plus a radar detector and a DVD system, etc...all these meticulously wired to the on-board system of my car that is Japan made?

By the way, did I tell you that the radar detector can do amazing and pre-programmed stuff? Like telling me real-time traffic situation on the road during rush hours and tell me the roads to avoid, plus tell me where the COPs are hiding and to avoid then or slow down when I approach those places, it also have GPS location and programmable abilities...Lest I forget, my backup camera can do some amazing stuff as well, like warning me when there is an object behind me while backing up....time will fail me to tell you the other miracles the other stuff can also do...I need my own accolades.

My point is, we should stop congratulating mediocracy from our governments, especially when they do somethings that a curious minded fifteen year old can do within one weekend in his father's backyard.

Christianity EtcRe: Bitter Truth About Blessed Virgin Mary by linearity: 6:41am On Dec 17, 2013
OP,You did a good job; but you might have drawn the wrong conclusion, because you did not take time to read the whole of Revelation chapter 12. You selectively picked some verses that played into your narrative and ignored the rest of the passage and details about the woman or other biblical parallel passages where the symbols Sun, Moon and 12 stars have been used to represent something else.

There are three theories about the identity of the Woman, some hold the view that the Woman represents Mary (note: the word 'represent' as in not literally); many others hold the view that the woman represent Israel and others indicated that; the woman represents the Church.

Even Pope Benedict does not hold your strong immovable views that the woman represents Mary and nothing else, as he also believe that the woman represents the Church...

Now back Revelation Chapter 12; try to inculcate these verses into your conclusion that, the woman is Mary in Heaven and see how your theory falls apart:

Rev 12: 6 "And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days."

Note: that the 'thousand two hundred and threescore days' is the 7 years tribulation period on earth (Rev. 11:3) when the two witnesses from God will prophesy on earth. If your narrative is correct, which means Mary will not be in heaven during the great tribulation but will flee into the wilderness...I can see you recoiling from the facts stated here, because, it does not fit with the doctrine of The Assumption of the Virgin Mary into heaven.

Rev 12:13"And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child.

14 And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.

15 And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood.

16 And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.

17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ."

From these passage, it is clear now that this 'woman' was on the earth with Satan and Satan persecuted the woman, the woman was given two wings that she might fly into the wilderness to seat out the great tribulation. Then Satan was angry with the woman and made war with the 'remnant of her seed, which kept God's commandments and the testimony of Jesus Christ'

When you examine the whole passage in context, you begin to see that the woman might just be either Israel or the Church and her 'seed' is Jesus Christ the first-fruit of creation and the 'remnant of her seed' are the tribulation saints that Satan will persecute because of their testimonies for 7 years. Remember that before the tribulation, Jesus will come to rapture the Church and just like the woman, the Church will not pass through the tribulation but they will be safe for the 7 years. Also, remember that the woman will be 'feed' or 'nourished' for those 7 years, while the tribulation goes on...Also remember the marriage super of the lamb which will take place during the tribulation immediately before the second coming of Christ that will signal the end of the 7 years tribulation.

Finally, in his Book 'Jesus of Nazareth', volume 2; Pope Benedict XVI wrote and I quote:
"When the Book of Revelation speaks of the great sign of a Woman appearing in heaven, she is understood to represent all Israel, indeed, the whole Church. . . .

On the basis of the “corporate personality” model—in keeping with biblical thought—the early Church had no difficulty recognizing in the Woman, on the one hand, Mary herself and, on the other hand, transcending time, the Church, bride and mother, in which the mystery of Mary spreads out into history.

In August 26, 2006: Pope Benedict also said and I quote again:
"This Woman represents Mary, the Mother of the Redeemer, but at the same time she also represents the whole Church, the People of God of all times, the Church which in all ages, with great suffering, brings forth Christ ever anew"

Now, if the Pope who should be the greatest advocate of Catholicism in the world would not equivocally declare that the woman is indeed Mary and no other, you can see why myself a non-Catholic would not go out on a limb to say so and I will advice you toll the lines of the Pope and keep your mind open as well.

From this, it appear that the only evidence/lack thereof of drawing conclusion that he was not shot was the lack of bullet pellets....

The guy have an entry and exit wounds, one on his chest and the other on his back; that indicates that the bullet or whatever pieced him exited his body, meaning you will not find pellets in his body.

The medical examiner should have gone further and exclude bullet as causing the entry and exit wounds.

If you know of a reputable company or you are an individual based in New York with a valid address and can forward the products to me in Nigeria, kindly assist and post details here.

For clarity, this is not illegal, just that the company does not ship their products to Africa anymore.

The products are in 4packages and total wight is 48lbs.
Here is my phone number just in case you will like to call me +2348186414186

Thank you.
PM, I might be able to help, but it must be a reputable company and I will need complete and full disclosure of the item and there might be need to open them for inspection to authenticate it.

I help a lot friends in Nigeria to buy stuff in the US and ship to them. But in this age of drugs and illegal stuff; one have to protect his self and make sure that the items are legit. I am not in anyway saying that they are illegit or if you are doing anything illegal, but as a principal I have to independently convince myself that it is legit. I have made payments here in the US and even money transfer from the US abroad on behalf people and each time I do my own due diligence and in some cases, they final answer might be NO.

udopee: @ the op,as a man on trousers, when you want to urinate in an open place, you freely do that at ease without people around seeing ur body, it is not the same case with a woman wearing trousers. If accidentally she is on a far journey and along the line the vehicle stops for people to urinate, I tell you that you will see everything cus she have to pull down the trouser to her hipline before having free assess to ease herself. What else is she hiding again. It wouldn't be like that if she is wearing a well covering long skirt bcus all she need to do is to quietly bend down and off she goes. THIS IS SIMPLE REASONING TO SHOW YOU THAT NATURE DOES NOT SUPPORT WOMEN WEARING TROUSERS OR MEN WEARING SKIRT...SHALOM!
It beats me why anyone should urinate in "an open place".

That is public indecency, you should be arrest next time you do it and locked up.

I think you guys are miss understanding the OP. Let me decode it for you guys, before your girl give you dirty slap or leave you go follow Dayo becos you start buying her flowers instead of "things"..

She is simply saying that guys should remember that 9ja girls are not only material and that they also have romantic side as well.

So each time you guys provide meatpie, isiewu, fried rice, chicken, peppersoup, nkwobi and ice cream, money, recharge card, etc you should also include a bouquet of flowers to go...this way they will not pass as materialistic and gold diggers but also as loving and romantic.

In summary, she is not saying you should decrease your budget towards your girl but that, you should increase that budget to include flowers once in a while...as long as the increase that accounts for the occassional flowers does not affect future increases toward "things".

The bitter truth is that, even if you forgive her/or them or take her back or do not take her back.

That will not be the last time they will phuck each other...Yes! I know they have begged and must have really felt remorseful about what they did. A very wise friend once told me that, 'Some doors are better kept closed forever' and that we should resist all temptations or urges to open those doors...because if you open a particular door, you will be tempted to walk through it again, when the conditions become permissible again.

Now that, they have opened that door and tasted the fruit and only felt remorseful when caught, they will walk through that door again no matter the outcome or actions of yours. Their only regret now is that, they were caught....so they will attempt to compensate for that lapses next time.

Your friend even boosted about the exploit and felt fulfilled, fully aware that he was causing you pains and griefs while narrating the exploit to your face and your fiancee denied it and even became offensive about it, until you presented her with the cold irrefutable facts. These actions does not conform to that of anyone who is truly sorry and repentant.

If the neck-less was a gift, it was wrong of you to take it back, but if it was truly for engagement as you indicated. Yes, you can take it back, because it was given in anticipation of a Marriage (just like a promise or contract) and since the engagement/marriage did not materialize and she was the one that broken the contract/promise, it is not heartless or out of place to take it back.

Please note that, I am not saying you should take or not take them back...that decision is up to you.

The law is centered around giving priority to human life above property and treasures.

If you bring a weapon to robbery, the penalty increases drastically because a human life was threaten and in danger even if the property or treasures robbed is insignificant but the value is large enough for you to be charged as a Robber and not petty thief.

On the other hand, if you snatched a million naira from someone without using any weapon, your sentence will be lower because no human life was in danger during the incident.

Do not let your adorning be external—the braiding of hair and the putting on of gold jewelry, or the clothing you wear

....
Suggest a Verse
I guess you do not wear cloths, because the above passage you quoted also mentioned wearing cloths in the same context with putting on gold jewelry and braiding of hair.

If your interpretation of that verse is that God is saying we should not put on gold or braid hair, you should equally extend it to not wearing cloths....else you will be guilty of not practicing His words and will go to hell.

The above passage did not ban any of those items, it is preaching moderation on all three...ie when people meets you on the street, your adorning, aka the personality that you will portray, the impression of you that that person will take away, the way you carry yourself..etc, should not be externally of the things you put on but you should allow your internal adorning to shine through....the braiding, gold or cloth you put on must be such that your internal adorning must shine through...meaning their are certain level of braiding, gold, clothes that will impede and distract people from seeing your internal adorning or will muddled or confuse the way people perceived your internal adorning for those you should do away with.

Car TalkRe: Is It Better To Buy A Car Outright Or To Buy Using A Loan? by linearity: 3:40pm On Nov 13, 2013
Your question pre-supposes that you already have the cash on hand and are in a dilemma whether to use it or get a loan.

The best option is to treat it as investment and see if you will be a least even at the end of the day...

First see what the loan will cost you in interest rate or APR....Also see how much it will cost you to get a personal on secured loan from the bank...if the situation currently in Nigeria is same as it is in developed countries, the interest on the car loan will be lower than the personal loan because the car acts as a security.....look at it this way..

Given the above, I will invest the money and take the loan....at the minimum your investment cash flow has a boost which is equal to the difference between the above two interest rates.

A good and effortless investment for that cash is to buy a land, put a fence around it and either sit on it or gradually start developing it.

While the land is an asset and will continue to appreciate in value, your car is a liability will continue to depreciate. If you hit a financial bump in the road tomorrow, you can turn around and sell the land, payoff the loan...and you will still have some change in your pocket plus you will have your car to either sell to make more money or keep...but had you bought the car outright, you will get less than 50% of the original value.

Low standard of education has nothing to do with part time students. You are backing up the wrong tree.

Part time students creates a lot of opportunities. Not everyone would or could go to school full time. Some do not like it, some do not have the concentrated resources, some have other obligations to take care of simultaneously, some use that opportunity to attend the school of their dream, etc.

Almost all colleges including Ivy League colleges in the US have part time studies. Some have even gone further and are offering Bachelor, Masters and PhD degrees completely online.

These programs are ranked each year and some best your traditional brick and mortal full time colleges.

The problem is not the part time but how the school is running the program and the quality they induce into it.
