It appear you are the one that did not understand the issue...the section you referred to was what the Senators tried to ammend and by doing so pegged the official marriage age in Nigeria at 18...but that decision was promptly challenged by the former Zamfara governor, Ahmed Yerima, who described the decision of the lawmakers as anti-Islam.

Senator Ahmed Yerima and his gang believes that the official marriage age in Nigeria should be below 18 and by amending that section, the Senators are technically saying that all marriage below 18 years old are illegal. Though the amendment did not say that categorically, but that will be the implication...

hence Yerima's objection and there is now a debate in the Senate to expunge Section 29B from the constitution thereby making it an 'open season' on child marriage....therefore ensuing outrage and hullabaloo.

There is still some section of the society who still believe that pegging marriage age at 18 is still immoral, so you have a clash between many diverse view points on this issue...but I believe most people are outrage at the expunging of Section 29B and not the initiate amendment of that section.

Hear it from a child herself...and see if you will not be moved to support her cause..

My understanding of the movement or services and goods is that; if a country is a consumer of that product, then the traffic will be import oriented and if a country is an exporter, then the traffic will be export oriented.

As one watch these drug traffickers, if they are not catching someone exporting these drugs, they will be catching someone importing them to/from the same Countries..it will not be surprising to met importer/exporter on the same plane.

I follow your point...it is understandable for the servants to approach Mary and Mary to Jesus because at that time, Jesus have not performed any Miracle...the world had not known he is the Messiah, but Mary knew that there is something different with Jesus and that He might be able to help.

..but if you look at subsequent Jesus' ministry throughout the Bible; there is no mention in any place where people needing help or miracle approached Mary, they went straight to Jesus because they have been introduced to the Jesus, they now know him as the Messiah that was prophesied about.

It is the same thing with John the Baptist; people came to him before Jesus...once he baptist Jesus and it was revealed to him the Jesus was the one...he pointed everyone to Jesus...some of his disciples left him to become Jesus' disciple. He ministry was done, he like Mary faded into the past and just like Mary, he was only mentioned a couple of times later but they never interceded on behalf of anyone...they like us are sinners who needs the grace of God and the sacrifice that Jesus will perform on the cross.

To refer to Mary as the Mother of God, shows a deep lack of understanding of who Christ was and is...or the concept of trinity.....Jesus Christ was there when God said..."Let US create man in OUR image"...Mary's great great forefathers was not born yet...and to say she somehow become the mother of God is not biblical.

It not very clear why you will need a go-between the sinner and Christ, I thought that was why Christ came in the first place, to break the barriers and remove the need for a go-between that prevents us from going directly to God?

Secondly, there are lots of Catholic prayers that are prayed to Mary directly. These are not interceptions through her to Jesus like the ones I mentioned in the above paragraph and you know these prayers.

Also, “I will put enmities between thee (Satan) and the Woman, between thy seed and her seed, and she shall crush thy head.”...That was a reference to the Church....note where it stated and "...she shall crush they head"...Jesus..fulfilled that when he said you are Peter (Rock) and upon this Rock I will build my Church and the gate of hell shall not prevailed against it. The seed of the Church are Christians...you might say..but that verse used the word 'seed' in singular verse and it might not be referring to Christians...Then I ask you...what is the 'seed' of Satan that God was referring to in singular there? Your answer might be the demons, fallen angles, etc....there you go with the plural! God was essentially say...Satan, there shall be an enmity between thy seed, the demon and woman (Church)'s seed the christian.

Further, Jesus have also used the word 'woman' to refer to other ladies in the Bible...a case that come to mind is that lady accursed of adultery...Jesus turn to her and said..."Woman, where are thy accusers". Going by your analysis, this woman must be some queen to be honored because Jesus addressed her as a 'woman'

Just like there was need during the wedding and Mary approached Jesus for help and Jesus interceded...the Bible is littered with other cases, where there were needs and someone approached Jesus to interceded..eg Mary & Martha approach Jesus to intercede in the death of their brother Lazarus, the centurion approached Jesus to intercede on behalf of one of his sick servants, etc...

Again, there were many people by Jesus' side when He passed on the Cross, it was not only his mother. I do not see why a special privilege should be bequeathed to his mother for that act and the others that were there with him to the end wouldn't benefit from that privilege.

Jesus said, I am the way, the truth and the light; whoever cometh to the father through me shall have everlasting life.

Finally, didn't the Bible said in the last day, "those who have died in Christ shall rise first and go and meet the Lord in the air".....Those who died is Christ and who will rise to meet the Lord includes Mary, she will be rewarded for her faithfulness along with many other Christians, she is not somewhere interceding on behalf whoever called on her name.

I think you misunderstood the that statement....It was stated to qualify the prior statement that indicated that the rule will not apply to people traveling for free or reduced fares not available to the general public.

Frequent flyer program is a kind of reduced and special traveling program for frequent flyers, sometimes they can also get free tickets, free upgrades, etc...so the later statement was qualifying them that this rule also apply to them, despite the perks, reductions, etc they already receive....note that it said..."..the rule would apply.." and not that..."the rule will only apply"...

Paul used the word "I" and he did not use the word "The Lord"...Paul have also..."I" wish you are eunuchs just like I am...He had said...I heard that, there are adulteress among...and wishes that such a one be stoned to death...we as Christians today do not follow Paul's admonition to be eunuchs or to start stoning Adulteress to death.

The key to understanding Paul's teaching is to know that he have some personal strict rules about himself and the churches under him, these rules are merely administrative and might not be applicable in all cases and they are not commandments from God.

He himself in his writings sometimes adds..."I and not The Lord is speaking"....and in certain places he stands that..this is The Lord saying it.

And you interpreted that passage wrongly, look up the original Greek word used when Paul said..."I suffered women not to teach..." The word means 'not to usurp authority" it was not a commandment against women from teaching or becoming Pastors...Paul wanted then not to usurp authority in the Church and to learn in quietness...

Paul himself instructed older women to teach younger women, and commended Lois and Eunice for teaching Timothy. Priscilla is mentioned with Aquila in teaching Apollos and Pastoring Churches.

There is nothing like 'unique brand of English' in the America. Apart from the obvious Texas, New England, Southern, etc accents spoken in the US.....if an Italian or Indian or German, Russian or British American (i.e. born and bread in the USA) are speaking, you will notice the difference.

The key here is speaking clearly, deliberately, conscientiously, learning the correct pronunciation, stress, intonation and proper usage....(also try to record yourself sometimes, you will laugh at yourself when you notice the number of "r" or "l", etc you have missed.....self correct and record yourself again) you can keep your accent and people will understand you in the US perfectly...the irony is that, when you come back to Nigeria and want to continue with the good English like in speaking clearly, deliberate, good pronunciation, stress and intonation; people will think that you are forming a foreign accent, so I just switch to pidgin English unless I am in an official setting in Nigeria during that visit.

Proper usage as in....pant, underwear,first floor, boot, truck, Jeep, iceblock,coke,dustbin,gas,roundabout,branching somewhere,trafficator,etc does not have the same meanings if used in a sentence in a Nigeria English speaking setting vs an America English speaking setting and words like these throw off your listeners in the US, making not to understand what you just said.
