Joan Johnson: I don't tink lust can lead to love, wen u see a person, u get attracted to the person, nt necessarily d physical built, maybe the way he/she behaves and u gradually grow in love. Anything outside this dont last.So is that your definition of love?...'been attracted to someone's behavior'?...and what disqualifies someone that is attracted to physical built from been in love?...At least, one man's meat is another man's poison and there are different stroke for different folks. A lot of the things we call love are not actually love. Love they say is in the eyes of the beholder and some are attracted to behavior and they fall in love, others are attracted to money, wealth, riches, beauty, family background, religious life, education, personality, social status, environment, presentation, physical built, height, weight, respect, good upbringing, humility, some physical features, mating, cars, jewelries, naughtiness, skin tone, etc...for some people it is a combination of these factors...but it is unfair to uplift one factors above the...since love is in the eyes of the beholder, what would make you to fall in love would be totally different from what will make the next person fall in love and it is unfair to use your yardstick to judge everyone. |
val_dee: But what are the police still investigating? They are 'investigating' how much money they can chop or extract from the man or his families while the charge papers are been prepared. |
I can explain this 'miracle'....mother expecting birth clenched on her rosary with tight fist as a divine connection to the the supernatural.....during the process of child birth, the contractions, relaxations, pushing, breathing, pains, emotions, ecstasy, involuntary movements of muscles....mother's fist unclenched...rosary fell into waiting delivery bay...nurse noticed and broadcast the 'miracle' mother was well into the moment, joy, ecstasy, rescinding/increasing child birth pains, emotions, etc to caution the nurse...or was thinking that nurse's sudden outburst was related to the new born baby... Further, the mother kept mute, believing that; it must be a miracle; because how can anyone explain the situation where an unconnected patient who have not been able to eat for four days and naturally must be terribly hungry by now suddenly want to eat?...It is interesting to note that sick patients go to Maternity homes in this part of Ogun State...one would thing that, people would go to Maternity home to pregnancy related events. To buttress her point, the nurse went further to state..."I saw a rosary covered with thick blood.", we all know how difficult it is to completely clean blood off clothing without the use of some type of chemicals, even at that...spat of blood will still lurk around in foldings, corners, under some places...but miraculously the rosary in the picture have no blood stain...even the thread underneath all the visible beads are clean and white. |
Was it upgraded or they built a new railway? I remembered in the early 90s when I was doing IT aka SIWES in Kaduna while schooling in Minna; I use to take the train between both towns...it was cheap, dirty and dangerous.. |
manny4life: This isn't right, you can't force people to fly where they do not want to. How can I come into U.S. and choose to land at Dulles, rather they will tell me NO, you have to go through Atlanta first. That doesn't make sense. There are certain industries that need govt protectionism, while others needs to be left to fierce competition. Why can't our airports be privatized so that there's competition from all corners? That is the policy worldwide...No Country opens up all its major cities for direct international flights...If you do that, you starve the local airline operators who rely on the shuttle air service between local airports. In addition to government's multiplicity of services, eg immigration, border crossing agents, detention facilities, etc... You cannot fly from Nigeria to any city of your choice in UK (there are about 2 or 3 gateway airports in UK), same thing with the USA or any other European country.... I think that it is a wise decision... |
elampiro: People who believe in rapture base their believe in Mathew 24. But if you that chapter, you will discover there will be Tribulation before the coming of the Son of Man to separate the good from the bad. There won't be rapture or disappearance/vanishing of human beings ahead of the Tribulation. It is at the end of Tribulation the Son of Man will come and harvest. The chapter stated that the Antichrist. Will come and perform many miracles such that if possible, the elect will be deceived. Also read Revelation 13.The Rapture and The Second coming of Christ are two different events....the tribulation will occur in between the two events. In the rapture, the Bible said, the believer shall be caught up in the air to meet the Lord in the Air...He will not step a foot on the earth during the rapture...after than, then follows 7 years of tribulation which will be caught shot... During the second coming, Jesus will touch down with the saints in Jerusalem and he will gather his army to go do a battle with the anti-christ, once the anti-christ is defeated and the earth scoured, then the Judgement day and the establishment of the new heavens and the new earth... |
"South Sudan Police authorities has pleaded with the Nigeria Police Force to urgently come to their aid in the area of training of their own manpower and capacity building especially as they have seen from the performances of the Nigeria Police contingent in the newly independent country, that Nigeria Police officers are 'top class' comparable to those in Europe and other advanced countries. Deputy Inspector General of South Sudan , Lt. General Gordon Micah Kur Luala who made the plea when he received the Assistant Inspector General of Police, Mamman Ibrahim Tsafe; representative of Nigeria Police IGP, Mohammed Abubakar, during a courtesy call on the South Sudan Police headquarters in Juba, disclosed that among many challenges facing the country's Police force, they were yet to be fully professionalized. "We want to say, we are watchful and impressed with the performance of the Nigerian Police Contingent under UNMISS. They are well kitted, alert at all times and command respect. We expect a lot from nations like Nigeria who have passed through some of the difficulties we are facing now and have much experience like you......." http://allafrica.com/stories/201207160737.html - Which means, there is some redeeming factors in the Nigerian Police! |
chikk: First, the man will carry the goat across leaving the lion and the yam. Then he returns to carry the yam across but brings back the goat. That leaves only the yam at point B. Then he drops the goat at point A and carries the lion across to point B, leaving lion and yam at point B and the goat at point A. He finally comes back to take the goat across and Journey continues. Happy sundayGood job! It was not that easy decades ago when I was first faced with that riddle in primary school. |
fluid26: You were correct the first time. 10 is the answer. The answer cannot be 10, it is -20, remember that in BODMAS you have to group like-terms and solve them that way. |
5+5+5-5+5+5-5+5x3 Using BODMAS =(5+5+5) - (5+5+5) - (5 + (5x3)) =15 - 15 - (5 + 15) =15 - 15 - 20 = - 20 Answer Negative 20. |
Riddle...how do one delete a double post? |
I first heard this riddle growing up in 9ja..... A man must cross a River from point A to point B with the following properties without losing or endangering any of them: 1. A Lion, 2. A Goat & 3. A Yam. The Canoe can accommodate the man and ONLY one of the three items at a time. If left together; all the items cannot be separated from each other in the same house, the Goat is endangered by the Lion and the Yam is endangered by the Goat, but all three must make it safely across the river. Come up with a strategy for this man to safely ferry these items across the River, given the above conditions. |
martin92: mtcheew. Hw does dis change the price of garri in the marketyou and garri self, man does not live by bread alone.... make you leave that garri side, or else na Kwashiorkor go get you so... |
80% they must be joking, where did they get their news from? I think it is like 95%......it has so permeated the Nigeria fabric that, it is no longer regarded as bribe.....I have a plan pending approval in one of the State capitals in Nigeria....My dad just called me that, the guy to approve the plan is waiting for his kick-back and he has named his price and that without us parting with the kick-back, the plan will not be approved. My dad insisted that, if there is any kick-back, the architect who draw and submitted the plan for approval must be the one to pay it, since he has been paid off-front for everything, including approval, etc....so we will be paying the 'encouragement fees' any day now in order for the building plan to be approved. |
farous: @tpia...and will you entrust your 'some months' old baby to the care of a 14 year old male while your wife is away 'looking for what she will be doing..' and you sitting comfortably at the office? A 14 year old female have more motherly instincts, more apt and judgement to care to care for the baby than a male of the same age. If she is 'staying idle in d house' it further means that, there is no much work at home that will need a house help. It appear that your objection to this whole arrangement is from a concern of what might happen between your wife and the male house help while you are away, but I am seeing it as a risk and endangerment to the 'some months' old baby to leave him/her with a 14 year male who just arrived from the village. |
Sisi_Kill: Wait a sec. . .who took the pictures??!It is very plausible....in this day and age, where virtually every phone and handset have a camera, it is not far fetched that it was caught on camera. Aside, i have a little dual camera dvr on my car windshield, it start recording immediately I starts the engine and stops about 2 minutes after the engine is off. It maintains itself, delete old recordings for new ones and can hold about 2-3 weeks worth of recording...these cameras are readily available for the general population. |
greaterlove: One factor we have all left out that will work to the advantage of romney is the factor of money. We all saw how the recall election went in winconsin, where the republicans outspent the democrats 8:1. Take it or leave it money will play a vital role in this election and already romney has an edge over obama, sheldon and the koch brothers alone are raising for romney more than half of obama budget for the election, just 3 ppl. I see romney raising far more than a billion dollars, and if u say well money can't influence the outcome of elections in america study hw the republicans used it to make sure scot walker retains his seat.Agreed, money is a factor but not the only factor... Comparing a local off-year election to a national one would be missing the point. If the recall took place in a Presidential Election year, Walker would lost in Winconsin his money advantages not withstanding. Obama have a better ground work all the States compared to Romney. Romney is now trailing in the polls and also among important demography like women, independents, etc. |
PhysicsQED: That's my point. It's smart. Romney's apparent "moderateness" doesn't appeal to the core conservatives and his extra rich background doesn't appeal to the right demographic. It's not about that budget proposal, which will soon become irrelevant, but about Ryan's appeal.Romney, picking a V.P. just to appeal to core conservatives is preaching to the choir. The core conservatives will never vote for Obama. At the end, they will come around and still vote against Obama, and the only way to do that is to vote for Romney. He just lost FL with that pick and Ryan is not going to help him in Winsconsin also....his chances of losing OH have also increased with this choice, he might as well call the election for Obama. This is the worse pick ever, you cannot go into congress that have a national approval rating of 11% and choose a running mate with little national recognition. If Obama wins FL & OH, he will be re-elected. |
teminoni: Paying tithe is not a condition to enter the kingdom of heaven. But Jesus requested that as good christians, we should pay tithe. And the tithe should be used for the maintenance of the church and for feeding the poor and the old widowed members of the church. Can you be so kind to post the Bible passage where "Jesus requested that as good Christians, we should pay tithe."? |
nice but too long a resignation speech....or should one call it an appeasement speech against been fired for mediocrity when they return home? |
This does not appear to be plausible, he is doing it with too much ease that, it appeared to be made for the cameras.... In a normal situation, you will see the wind blowing the umbrella and gathering below it with attempts to lift it up, blow it away, distort it or even air lift the bike.... |
JayKayMaybachz: No be em mates dey play Chelsea, barcelona and others .......... how many headsb wen dem geh .....He is a goalkeeper not a striker, there are more positions for strikers in Europe compare to goalkeeper; He have to be much more superb than those 'em mates wey dey play Chelsea, barcelona and others..' for him to be considered and even at time, he might not have enough playtime in Europe as compared to outside Europe. |
Ranks007: There's a way to delete those results stored in your gmail account. I did, I was so surprise to see the history of my search stored up to the extent of some ridiculous content I would not love to mention here. You could avoid this by ensuring that, you are completely sign off from your gmail account and any other google services, before doing any search with google...Else, your searches can be stored and linked to your identity. |
impetus: I'm yet to understand these old people, looks like they are confuse or were confused. According to the news, they were still friends and even communicated after their divorce, their daughter disclosed that they speak good of each other. Then my question is; why did they divorce? since from all indication, they love themselves and have good thought about each other, that is if they are not confused or they don't know what they want. Hope they are not going to divorce again with the hope of remarrying again.I have witness many many divorce families in the US living civilly...the dad and his new wife....the mom and her new husband and all the children do family re-union, they go and family trips together....they come together periodically and do a family cook out together, they go on picnics together, etc...if you see them, you will think that they are one big family. If we never know that divorce occurred.... Most of them really handles the situation like adults and really put the way we handle break-ups to shame...Sometimes, something tells me that, since the divorce rate in America is about 50%, they have come to accept it as part of life and have learn to coupe with it and manage instead of getting bitter over it. This behave happens a lot where children are involved.... |
doctokwus: N20m for d highest grossing film($150,000),and its called a success.Like how much were d actors den paid,500,000.Evn in Rwanda's standards dat take home is disastrousIf you include the price of the pirated copies, it will be a blockbuster...do not expect Nigeria film to break the box office until we begin to make some gains over the copy right and pirate problem. If people could download those Hollywood movies for free with impunity and no enforcement from the government, their box office debunct revenue will plummet. |
shymex: If selling your soul for riches = lucky.....but how does that equate to selling their souls? Have you ever stop to reason that, their talents might not have been prone to this level were they still in this Country? Also, environment, friends, etc that one grows up in/with also affect what that person will becomes...most likely the immediate environment plus the community, friends, etc influenced them into sport, they might not have gotten the same type of environment growing up here in Nigeria. Look at Farah, the Somalia native that won the 10,000 race for GB, he have lived in GB since he was 8 years old and some of these athletes might be in the same position...are you saying after leaving in GB for 8 yrs...it was Farah's teachers that influenced him into long distant race...he never wanted to run long distant races, he wanted to play soccer....and having been shaped by that society, they should forsake all that and come to compete for Nigeria just because they have some type of parental linage here? If that is the case, all black people not competing for Egypt or Countries around the Nile river must have sold their souls, because the history books tells us that, we have some type of parental linage that can be traced to that part of the world....and all Benins should be competing for the Ifes or Yorubas in the next all Nigerian games.... |
shymmex: And what did humanity benefit from the Apollo moon landing of 1969I can't believe you said that....Let me give you just ten benefit of NASA and their space explorations... 1. A prototype of the mouse that you used to browse to this site was first conceived by NASA in 1960. 2. Chances are, the ISP you are browsing from is using a Satellite plus think of the hundreds of communications satellites all over the world that make life liveable and comfortable on earth.. 3. What about satellites that monitors hurricanes, wildfires, volcanoes, etc and tied to early warning systems that saves life? 4. Nasa research is making is safer to fly in planes and drive on cars. 5. Nasa research is paying off in Cochlear implants that helps the hearing impairs to hear again, by convert speech signals to electrical pulses. 6. Nasa research help in detecting Cataracts, diabetes and possible Alzheimers. 7. Miniature electronics was spare headed by Nasa because this will lead to less bulk they have to carry into space when building the international space station...their research paid off and today...majority of our electronics at home have reduced in size from what they use to be years ago... 8. Techniques used to measure brain activities in NASA pilots are being used today to improve attention spans in children with ADHD. 9. Nasa inspired research have lead to less painful, less scarring and less expensive breast cancer screening.. 10. The same technology used in separating solid rocket boosters from the shuttle is being used today as a rescue tool, which quickly cut of debries to free accident victims. |
dem still dey London dey waste our moni abi dem miss their return flight? In the spirit of sportmanship and love for country, they shld concede the game to France and catch the next plane back home. |

Some people are indicating that, it is because of the Government's lack of interest and involvement in sports that produces these mediocre results. Most people in this camp are calling for more Government involvements and funding for sports in the Country and that this is a necessary step for us to grow. I tend to disagree with the above school of thought. I think that, Government involvement in sports is what is leading to these mediocre results. I believe that if the Government completely remove its self from Sport in this country including sponsorship and funding, we will start seeing meaningful result. Let sports be turn over to the private sector. Can you imagine that, the US did not give a single dime to their Olympic team? The United States Olympic Committee (USOC), unlike most national Olympic committees, receives no continuous federal government subsidy, relying instead on corporate and individual contributions and on the proceeds of its direct marketing program. Once we remove the influence, interference and the mediocrity of government from Nigeria sports; we will be heading to a place, where sport investors, will have the incentive to seek, recruit and train good athletes/talents around the country...they will do this, because they know that without government interference, their talents will compete openly and have a chance at national & international limelight, where they will start reaping the rewards of their investments. Government involvement in sports should be limited to primary and secondary schools, where they should include sport in our school extra-curricular activities, provide resources to enhance sport participation at these levels. What do you think, more government involvement or less? Some people say, sport sponsorship is in short supply in Nigeria, the truth is...if we showw-case good talents, companies will be trooping in to get a deal to sponsor them... |
