Why is this lies given front page coverage? I have families all over 9ja and some in the villages and I am in NYC....in my numerous and constant calls to 9ja.....I have only experienced telephone glitch once or twice and in each case, the recipient is either not in a coverage area or are in the village with poor coverage. Urban areas in Abuja is saturated with coverage, not to talk of Aso Rock and the President's office phone, which will even be a direct truck line...link all the 32 channels in a truck dedicated to his single number. |
ekt_bear: Bros i guess I don't understand English then.Being facebook friends first is a way of playing it safe on her part. This will allow her to do some background check on you, research your past comments on facebook, she can see your wall and most likely know of past relationships. She will know who your friends are, where they work, their friends and a lot of about them....she will also get to have some knowledge about your family, relatives, etc... With the above information, she will be in a better place to take the relationship to the next level by giving you her number. If she is computer savvy, through facebook, she can even find out if you are a player. Facebook is not intimate, she can ignore you on facebook, she can even block you or delete your account if she does not like what she finds or if you become too pushy....but if she gives you her number, it will be more difficult for her...though she can ignore your call, but some guys can be so pushy and to do away with them, she would have to change her number which will be some inconvenience to her and her other friends and family members who have to relearn new phone#. |
Abagworo: The worst of it all is that his immediate family could be gullible to such unfounded superstition. Why are you so quick to take sides? are you saying that life substitution rituals are 'unfounded superstition'? Am not judging anyone here but at the same time would not exclude any possibility. None of us here have any facts to conclude one way or the other. |
crossman9: hey Joagbaje it is nice to see you i hope the family is well and blessedO boy, I like that your Adam family tree well well, I even take am picture for my fone so that I can expansiate am later....but one question keep popping up since I saw it...where is 9ja in that family tree? Going by process of elimination, I know that we are not Jews and we are not Arabs, does that means we are Turks or we are not pure breeds but the resultant of some mix breeding among the pure breeds from time immemorial. |
Uzzie: i beg to differ with you sir, what is your idea of an unreasonable tithe??, if u pay less, then that should be between u and your God.I think he went further to explain what he meant by 'unreasonable' by giving an example of someone bringing a Mercedes to the pastor and the pastor finding that unreasonable questioned the source of his income.....days later the guy was found to be a 419. All Pastors who value their callings should do this. |
By how many years are you my senior? |
noblezone: Bros, it is very true.It is much ado about nothing...there is no right for secession in the United States constitution. This is just people going through one of the four stages of the big lost they received at the just concluded election. They felt the bad economy gave them a really great shot at the Presidency, by 11:00pm on November 6, 2012...it became clear that, their hope was just a pipe dream.... They immediately enter the first stage of grieve, which is denial...now they have evolved into sadness...give them time; they will get around it. If they were serious about not wanting to be identified as Americans, they constitution provides from renunciation of American's citizenship, but they are not going that route but they are bunch of sad losers. |
lillaowow: How convenient! Now he’s gonna missCongress has the power to subpoena anyone to testify before it. They do not have to head any department. The fact that he resigned does not prevent congress from calling him to testify if they think his testimony is vital and they can not get that info through any other means. The fact that, congress have de-invited him from coming to testify does not meaning anything and there is no conspiracy about it. |
The twist to that narrative is that fathers most of the time, take the credit if their kids behave well or succeeds.... |
musKeeto: Oledepo (The greatest thief) is Igbo.Omokudu is more like an Urobo or Isoko name: Omo = pickin Kudu = get heart, give heart, stay strong, cheer up, take heart (the meaning differs depending on the circumstance). |
COMPAQ: Over the last couple of months, MTN has been in the news informing us of their current network upgrade. However, i'm curious about what they are upgrading to with respect to data! Are they moving up to HSPA+ otherwise known as 3.75g(which Airtel and Etisalat use) or are they moving up to LTE, otherwise known as 4g, (which no network in Nigeria uses yet - forget Glo's claims) which I understand is what MTN SA is upgrading to.It will surprise me if LTE come to Nigeria anytime in the near future. It is a radical infrastructural change from the cell site all the way to the packet core. You will not be able to use any existing UMTS device, except maybe the mask, which must be fitted to support the MIMO antennas.....the cost is huge and the providers in Nigeria must first determine if they can recoup the cost and enough profit from the customers compare to how things are right now. There are many upgrade parts within HSPA+ that will lead to increased data throughput......HSPA+ can support upto 337Mbit/s with Release 11 of the 3gpp standard at the cell site, but no one is getting this speed in 9ja becos the providers consider it a waste of money and bottom line to incur the expenses needed to make such upgrades even when they ride the same underlying 3g infrastructure. |
Wetin bi 'underwear'...na America we dey again? Na women dey wear 'underwear' men no dey wear am....Abey OP, call am pant....well, of what use is pant to men in this day and age? So, men are still wasting money to buy that piece of useless clothing that have lost its value? |
It is very simple to avoid buying a flooded car...simply call or email your friend to put a stay on buying the car for now...give it say 2 to 3 months....after that period ask him to tell the dealer to pull a new carfax history report on the car he is interested in buying.... If you ask for a carfax report, all dealers in US will give you one, make sure to check the date it was pulled and if it not recent ask the dealer to pull one...if they do not have anything to hide, they will do it. All flooded cars will have a salvaged title. The carfax report will show the history of all the original owners of the car, repair works, etc and also when the dealer bought it and the type of title the dealer got from the motor vehicle authority in that state. If you know the car vin# you can also pull the report yourself, but there is no need...if a car dealer refuses to give you a free carfax report take a walk. |
manny4life: Haha, Lagos have come again with their theories. Ripples will affect you from 5,000+ miles away? This must be a really super storm SandyThe Hurricane did not emerge from the USA, it came from the Atlantic Ocean and hits the USA...This same ocean is shared by many countries...so it is not out of place to keep all coastal countries on the alert. It might surprise you to know that, most Atlantic hurricanes are given birth to in Africa as winds over the Gulf of Aden intersect with the Ethiopian Highlands in East Africa and they travel all the way through the Ocean to the USA or wherever. |
If you are staying in one of the western countries e.g. USA, UK, etc....very soon you will be getting a visit from child protective services and you will be in a difficult position defending your action. This is the way it is going to happen: Since kids are innocent and very free, one day at the playground at school or during picnics, and as each child will be discussing living at home or body part out of curiosity, your kid is going to let it out how your manliness is bigger than his, etc...one thing will lead to another and the teacher will hear about it....then the principal...if the teacher did not her...the kids that heard it...down the road will make those comments casually to their parents and those parents will call the principal...one way or the other...your kid will be invited to the principal's office and child protective services will be called. If you narrate what you just told the world here to the child protective service or a Judge, I do not think they will be happy with your actions and if in the USA, you will at least server time for either of the following or all of them combined: 1. Indecent exposure. 2. Corruption of a minor 3. Lewd and lascivious conduct Since this has been going on for a long time, if the prosecutor does not like you and want to shut you down for a very long time...they would charge you with multiple counts on each charges. Now, am not saying all of these or any of these might stick...but I do not think you will be let go off the hook free. You have already done the damage, heed your wife's warning and stop it immediately...this might not prevent your kids from talking about it...but the further you put the incident from them, the less they will remember it and be able to talk about it. |
I do not know about the others, but the first photo is not a fake picture. That is actual and real photo taken of the three tomb Sentinels standing guard at the Arlington Cemetery’s Tomb of the Unknowns Soldier. The only caveat is that, that picture was taken when it was raining on Oct. 18, 2012 and not during the Hurricane Sandy. It is wrong to pass them as been taken during Hurricane Sandy, but it is also wrong to label them as fake. http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/politics/2012/10/soldiers-guard-the-tomb-of-unknowns-during-hurricane-sandy/ |
just saw a blog website for FUT Minna...www.futminna.com, should that be a better place to share these info and discussions? |
nnenna.1:It has been downgraded to a tropical storm from Hurricane....when it is in the Ocean it is called a Hurricane and when it makes a land fall, it become a tropical storm. Lower Manhattan in NYC is now flooded, but they should be okay...The US is prepare for things like these, the center of the storm have now passed...waiting for the flooding and rivers to crest then life will start returning to normal gradually... |
Comparing American farmers to their most Nigeria counterparts is like comparing apples to oranges. A better comparison would have been comparing American farmers to Obasanjo farms...the American farmers use mechanized tools for virtually every stage of their farming, drive in air conditioned jeeps to their farms, they hire 100s of laborers to help, they have air conditioned offices on the farmer plus constant supply of electricity directly to their farm house, they have big flat screen TVs, game consoles on their farmhouse...there area abundant loan facilities, government subsidies, grants, etc....not a picture of suffering if you ask me. While the typical Nigerian farmer you are comparing them to, walk miles under heavy sun to their farm, rely on their outdated mechanical tools to do the job, most of them do not have money to hire laborers, so they do it themselves or rely on the kindness of neighbors or relatives. I think the Nigeria government have start providing loan facilities to graduates to engage in mechanized farming, I doubt if those few Lucky ones that got those loan are complaining or saying that, they are suffering. |
chukwudi44: James 5:14-16The definition of 'elder' is superior to another in age....Priest are not the most superior people in the church. There are many priests who graduated senior seminary at say age 25 and in a few years thereafter they are ordained priest and 75-80 yrs old elders would be required to make confession to them contrary to the passage you quoted above. ...why doesn't the church also allow confessions to be made to the elders in the church? |
Those who are blaming the man for placing premium on beauty are hypocrites... Every single one of us have a condition for either the one we love or the one we married. It is only God that can show unconditional love...all our love are conditional, we may not accept it, but deep down, when you start unraveling why you love that lady or guy, you will find some layer of conditions. For some of us, our condition is 'good character', others it is godliness, others it is 'church person' others it is good parenting or good family lineage, still there are others whose condition is money, riches, beauty, figure 8, boob, etc....love is in the eyes of the beholder....you might say money, beauty, etc are material things and they do not last and as such it is foolish to base love on those....then who told you that, 'church person', godliness, good character, good parenting last forever? Many girls from good homes turn wild when they are married and many many holy holy brothers and sisters become wayward. You might say if the foundation of the marriage is on 'durable' things like good character, godliness, etc there will be peace, love...but you tells you that the marriage based on money or beauty or figure 8 lacks peace and love? In summary, since only God can love unconditionally and love is in the eyes of the beyonder, I have refused to judge or question what made people fall in love, if they like it, they should carry on and I refused to project my attributes of love over other people and tell them that if they do not pursue the same set of attributes while looking for love, they must have gotten the wrong thing. This guy must have married this woman, based on her beauty, howbeit it was was a deception...It is obvious that the guy would not have married this lady had he known all the facts....and we never heard any about any issue between them until the lady's deceptions start unraveling...either through child birth or other means. |
American do not focus much attention to Geopgraphy in the grade schools...so if one did not study Geography at college or University level, they will know little or nothing beyond the continental US. It appear this perspective is driven by their assertion about the American exceptionalism...and as such they felt that it is not worthwhile to know a lot about other people. Americans are also very lazy when it comes to language comprehension, once you do not speak their standard accent, they do not make the effort to try and understand what you are saying. But immigrates takes the effort to understand themselves and the American accent in respective of the immigrate's country of origin. Majority of Americans still believe that Swahili is the language spoken in the entire Africa or black country. |
Do not expect to hear a loud voice behind you saying.."He is the right man"...neither are you going to get a heavenly vision....the pitfall is, the more you think about it...very soon you will start dreaming about it...not because God is telling you in your dream that he is the one...but simply because sometimes our dreams are culminations or extension of the things we preoccupy our minds with during the day.... So, how do one hear from God?...you may ask. Pray about it....then imagine yourself taking that decision...if it is of God, you will experience an inner peace. Inside you, you will experience a calmness with that decision, it will be smooth within you. Ensure to take away physical things that might influence your decision one way or another from your mind, eg his money, his properties, his job or lack thereof, etc, etc... If it is of God, it can also wait....if there is haste to do anything, it might not be of God. If you do not experience an inner peace, do not go into it....If he keep talking to you, tell him you have prayed about it and God is not leading you that way....Another thing is, God cannot lead you to someone you did not love...When When Rebekah was brought to Isaac, the Bible said Isaac loved her and she was also attracted to him... |
In this day and age of advanced medical breakthroughs and simple medications like epidural, etc.... I think having a painful labor or child birth is now optional. A lot of women choose not to have anything to do with these drugs believing that the side effect on the mother/baby out weighs the benefits...other choose not to because, they prefer the old school method. But whatever the situation, advances in medicine have made this an option. If you hate the pains, choose to skip at your next appointment with the delivery room. |
Why is it that...when Pastor tell us to bring offering and tithes, they tell us that we are offering it unto The Lord. That all the tithe and offerings belongs to God and that if we fail to bring them we are robbing God. But when some steals the offering or tithe somehow he/she is stealing from the church. Though, am not condoning what this guy did, but the truth is, he stole from God and not the Church and your guess is good as mine that, God has forgiven him and like the adulterous woman, Jesus is telling him right now to go and sin no more. The bible said, Jesus knew that Judas one of his disciples who also double as the treasurer was stealing from the pulse...Jesus never disgrace him, he never called the cops on him or even reported him to the other disciples, he simply forgave him, despite the fact that Judas never repented and his love for money ultimately led him to betray his master for 30 pieces of silver. Jesus cautioned us to follow his example in everything. |
I wanted to comment but, I want to ask....who dey wear the trouser for the that house? Is it the husband or the wife? shey you understand that, I do not mean the literal trouser... The fact that, the man is thinking of leaving the house, tells me that, it is the wife that is wearing the trouser in that house. Why would he ever think of leaving his house? The mere thought of it is insane...and you said he want to do it 'secretly'?...Good Heaven! I sincerely think that, the problem here is not with the wife but the husband. He has grown to be less assertive over time that the wife and mother inlaw have noticed it and taken advantage of it. Let him grow a pair, take a stand and tell the wife to conform or leave the house. Sometimes you have to take drastic steps to stir the ship out of dangerous waters. Let him package the woman back to him mama and papa house until he leave the true meaning of..."For this purpose shall a man (also woman) leave his (her) father and mother and shall be joined to his wife(husband) and they two shall be one". |
JOHNBULL4040: TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERNThis must be some joke. It is stupid to think of committing crime and foolish to come on a public board and advertise such intentions. We all feel the pains of these four helpless kids and sympathize with their families (you inclusive, if your story is genuine)......and almost everyone is condemning the Aluu committee for not doing right by these kids....and here you comes out of the blue planning crimes that would make the general public's sympathy to start flowing in the other direction, towards the Aluu committee. Hope you have written your last will and testament? |
ashmanpolo: ...To The best of My knowledge she's got A handsome sexually-active husband. How did you come into such private & intimate 'knowledge' of the bedroom prowess of the husband? You watch am dey do him wife abi u and the husband don do the thing together abi na some of the husband mistresses tell u? For your information, all men believe that they are the best when it come to bedmatics, so you can not go on the husband's words. There is always two sides to a coin. There must be something the husband is not providing and the woman does not have the virtue to be contended with that limitation in his marriage, hence she is going outside to get it. |
This is a poor Photoshop work...the chest is lighter than the head.....the chest bears a portion of white small necklaces that did not go round. |
Joshcoli: Any naija person criticizing BB is simply because they can't afford one,You know you can get blackberry for about $20 on ebay...that is about N400 or less, is that a lot of money for a phone in 9ja? |
I would advice you against it....except you are craving to sleep with her. If you do, she will feel very indebted to you and would want to pay you back one way or another. This will usually lead to her been very free around you and even if she crosses the line, she will justify it in her mind that, she is returning a favor. A car is a liability, if they cannot afford to buy one, how would they afford to maintain it? If they are struggling down, a car in the family is another drain in their pulse. If you buy the car, be prepare to start contributing towards repairs or fuel here and there. Put yourself in your friend's shoes....If someone buys your wife a car as birthday present, how would you feel? especially if that person did not let their wife aware of that gift to your wife? Having said all these; if you are still bent on buying her the car, do not hide it from your wife or the lady's husband. If your wife objects to it, do not do it....if your wife agrees to it, buy the car and give it to the guy and not the lady or present it to the whole family but hand the key to the husband. |
Why are these prophecies concerning Nigeria destructions always different from what is obtainable in the Bible given the same situation. Why do you guys claim to hear God requesting for 100% repentance from everyone before such evils are averted and when something evil happens you quickly claim that, it was because we did not pray and my guess is that you that received the prophecy prayed, why didn't God answer your prayers? We all know that it is impossible to get 100% repentance or prayers..., Jesus, Peter, Paul, etc never achieved 100% repentance during their time. If 100% repentance is achievable then many sections of my Bible would be invalidated. Sodom and Gomorrah were not destroyed because of their sins...they were burnt to ashes because God could not find 10 righteous people there. I believe with the population of Nigeria, if you only add the General Overseers of the big big churches plus your humble self, we can come up with 10 righteous people for whose sake The Lord will not destroy the land. Abramham started from 50 to 10 and stop and on each count down, God said he will not destroy the righteous with the wicked.....sometime tell me that, had Abramham presented 5 or even 1 God would have accepted and based on that Sodom and Gomorrah would have been spared. And all these outcry about "All the Nation and everyone" had to pray to avert the crises might be unrealistic, remember that it was only Abramham praying here.....and God was answering his prayers on behalf of the whole nation of Sodom and Gomorrah....if you are righteous, God should be able to answer your prayers on behalf of Nigeria as well. |
