I think that this agreement should be amended to only entail resigning. If you tell an employer that you are going to stay for 2 years and you don’t then there should pay a penalty. However, the agreement at its current state is indentured servitude. Getting a job should not mean that you sign yourself into bankruptcy. What if the economy tanks and you get laid off, should you still owe 2 million naira? Haba.

For Federal income, you can take a tax credit or list the amount of the payment as a deduction, make sure you get a receipt from the company indicating the amount of your repayment. If you take the standard deduction and not the itemized deduction, then the tax credit route will be a better option.

To get back portion of the bonus that went to your medicare and SS, you have to file form 941...Since your income for medicare & SS taxes is capped at about $112K(this amount changes every year)..if your yearly salary is above $112K or whatever the limit is for that year...there will be no need to file form 941, because it will be a wash.

I live and work in the US, companies do not bond you for trainings that they recommended that is part of their induction courses or internal trainings.

They bond for situations like these:
1. They pay for your BSc or Master program.
2. They pay for your professional certifications, etc

I have gladly reimbursed a former employer in the US for monies paid towards some of my certifications. Those certification enhances my chances outside the company and as such, it make sense for me to reimburse them if am leaving outside the stipulated period.

Company induction courses for new hires in most cases are not relevant outside that company...the only inert value they have is tied to the experience one gets from working in that company...any new company you join will still conduct their own induction courses. So asking employees to reimburse companies for induction courses is unconscionable.

OP, you paint with too wide a brush. Home based and diaspora Nigerians are all the same. There is no place like home. Lagos state should be commended for this move and it will be great if other States copies this. I do no see any problem with this.

It does not mean that vehicles registered in other States can not ply Lagos roads.....it simply means, that the State reflected on your driver's license must match the state on your plate. This id how it is done in advanced countries even in the USA....if someone move into Lagos from another State, they should be given like 30days to update their vehicle registration and also their driver's license info.

Lagos State has the right to know all drivers located within her jurisdiction and ability to locate anyone, should a crime be committed. When you relocate even within the same State in the US, you required by law to notify the DMV or MVA or whatever the name is in your state of your new address, you are also required to notify your insurance company as well. When you moved into a new state, you have to get a new license, insurance, plate, etc within certain days.

We cry everyday that, we want our country to advance, to be able to have all the tools it needs to fight crime but rail against simple common sense changes like this that will go a long way to ensure that whoever plys our road is legit.

There will be a middle class squeeze under a Romney's Presidency... People will get work no problem, but they will lose the ability to earn decent wages....he supports 'right to work' which has taken place in many GOP states.

Obama is in a tough situation because of the economy and the GOP in congress purposely placed him there by blocking all his job bills. The very first day Obama was elected in 2008, the GOP in congress came out and stated that, they will work to make him a one time President. In the USA, the President cannot detect and order things int being, the system is not dictatorship, congress have the final say.

But in a debate, the President can not come out and blame congress for the economy, people would see it as weakness, so he has to own it...carry his cross and use his regional Ad campaign and ground work to convince Americans to give him another four years...

The fact that Romney is not leading in the polls at this time despite the bad shape of the economy is because, the America people are not buying what he is preaching...

My estimates is that Mitt won the debate, but he did that by walking back most his is plans and Obama lost because he played it too safe, he did not go after Mitt on his changing positions.

Yesterday, I was watching a movie on my laptop, my neigbour needed me to re-park so he could move his own car, the time I spent downstairs was less than 20mts only for me to come back and my system was missing.
Next I saw was my 'son' helping/teaching her how to play a movie. I havent set my eyes on my laptop again till now. She told me she bought some kiddies movies she's watching and would prefer watching it inside their room.

Next time, when they surprise with a another text message that they on their way...simply text them back and say something like...'sorry, am not in town will not be back'...take style delay your getting back to the house that day....once you inconvenience or disappointment them once or twice, they will start making alternate arrangement. The Bible is inspire words of God to mortal men, who must then use their limited vocabulary, language and limitations to write and pass along what they have received. Since the Bible was not originally written in English but translated from other languages. Just like you may have realized, there are some words that do not have perfect substitutes across all languages...so when translating from one language to other care was taken to chose the closet word that would convey the same meanings within the context.

e.g. If got a revelation in English for 'Earth is spherical' my guess is, there is no singular Yoruba word that perfectly depicts 'spherical' so you might end up translating it as 'round' or 'circle' in Yoruba....within the context, people in Yoruba would understand what you are saying....but placing it by itself...round is not the same as 'spherical' and neither is 'circle' the same as spherical.....spherical have the concept of depth which the other two does not necessarily have.

The old and the new testament is filled with references to the trinity.......God is God, Jesus is God and the Holy Spirit is God....all three combined are referred to as God.

Contrary to your statement, we also see the reference to more than a singular God during the creation in Genesis....

The words marked in bold above indicate that, there was not a singular God during the creation.

You are confusing the actual creation action with narration of the creation....You are combining both the actual creation together with narration of the creation as if they are all referring to the creation action itself occurring..if you apply some reading comprehension, you will be able to separate where Moses were outlining the sequence of the creation from the narration.

A good example:

"..So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them."

Did not say that man & woman were created simultaneously, the emphasis in the above narration is that man & woman were created of God's image....compare the above to:

"...I eat and wined with friends at a nice restaurant today; we eat rice, beans, chicken, salad and we drank bear, juices, coke, malt, etc"

question:
1. What did they do first when they got to the restaurant?...ans: not enough info to answer it.
2. True or False, they eat before wining?....the passage did not tell us what they did fist.
3. Did they drink bear or coke or juice first or did they eat and drank simultaneously? not enough info to ans that.

So what is the passage saying...it is simply narrating what happened and not the sequence of its occurrence.

formed is past tense...there is no inference in the above passage that, the actual creation of animals took place right there and then and immediately after, they were brought to man for naming....

While narrating a story to a friend, I can easily say:

I bought the memory chip that I placed in my laptop from the computer shop on marina....There is nothing in that statement to indicate that I bought the memory chip before I bought or acquire the laptop. 1. The sequence of creation is in Gen 1....Gen 2. was a summation and it concentrate on the details on earth, the garden, fruits, beasts, beatification of the garden and the details of how man was created.

2. Looking at the stars in heaven from earth, they look like specks...and given the omnipotent nature of God, the gigantic stars are specks...the same way you can consider a grain of sand as minute...but to the ant...those sand grain are gigantic...perspective my man.

3. Isa. 40:22. "..He that sitteth upon the circle of the earth...."

4. Your myopic view is blindsiding you here...The milky way alone have more than 600 Suns and some scientists put it as much as 200 or 400 million suns, it depend on your definition of sun. Gen 1:3...God said..let there be light...(singular).....and in Gen 1:14..God said...let there be lights (plural).

5. Gen 5:3-5..."Adam lived 130 years and begat a son in his own likeness, after his image and called his name Seth. And the days of Adam after he had begotten Seth were 800 years and he begat sons and daughters....

6. Light was created in Gen 1:3 and plants, grass were created in Gen 1:11...very much in order...yes 'lights' were created in Gen 1:13...see answer 4 above. Plants does not need sun to function, they just need light...case in point..greenhouses.

7. Both Luke's and Matthew's accounts are correct...Luke gave something like a day to day dairy of events that took place during Jesus' birth...but Matthew looked at it like a year to year event....ie Luke's was the actual close sequence of events...After mentioning the birth....Matthew mentioned them going to Egypt to escape Herod's plot(which did not happen after Jesus was more than one year old)...this did not happened right away...When you combined both Luke and Matthew, this is the actual sequence of events:

a. Mary & Joseph went to Bethlehem for the yearly census, which was their tradition every year (Luk 2:4-5).
b. Because there was no room in the Inn, Jesus was given birth to and lay in the manger in Bethlehem (Luke 2:6 & Matt 2:11).
c. The shepherds were told of the birth by Angels & they came & saw Jesus(Luke 2:16)
d. On the eight day, he was circumcised (Luk 2:21).
e. After 40 days as required by law (Lev 12:1-8, Luk 2:22), they left for Jerusalem to make an offering to God.
f. After that, they return to Nazareth (Luke 2:39) in Galilee.
g. After about a year, Mary & Joseph went back to Bethlehem to complete the Census (Matt 2:1).
h. It took the wise-men (Matt 2:1) over a year from the time Jesus was born to the time they arrived, but the casual reader would not notice this in Matthew.
i. Herod inquired of wise-men privately, what time the star appear to them (Matt 2:7)
j. Mary & Joseph took Jesus and escape to Egypt (Matt 2:13-14)
k. When the wise-men did not come back, Herod order all children 2yrs and below killed, according to the time he inquired from the wise-men (Matt 2:16)
l. After Herod's death, Mary & Joseph, took the child and wanted to return back to Bethlehem, but were warned against that by an Angel and they return instead to Nazareth in Galilee (Matt 2:19-23).
