aboladejohnny:I don't know why you feel defensive, if you go through FBI most wanted, they usually highlight the national of the suspects and they usually send out specific twits, posters etc from time to time to group them and put more spot light on them. Those people on that most wanted list are the ones to be ashamed and that is not an attempt to paint all Nigerians black. We have to agree that, it fellow Nigerians like the ones on that list that is tarnishing the image of every hard working Nigeria and as a result, our anger should be directed at them. We celebrate money, affluent and gold in Nigeria....no one have to time to ask about the source....it is widely believe that, the end justifies the means, and until we change this mindset, our image will continue to suffer internationally. |
adioolayi:This is a real problem in Nigeria and is affecting even Nigerians resident abroad and limiting their ability to do business in Nigeria. If export cars or send any commerce to Nigeria, after selling the item, I should be able to get that money back abroad, put it back into the business and send more vehicles to Nigeria or export other items. Right now, it is near impossible to get that money back, the money will be stuck in Nigeria bank account and no business survives that way. What people do now is to link up with friends that need foreign currencies....they pay you locally abroad in foreign currencies and you dhl from your Nigeria account to wherever they want in Nigeria....but this does not scale at all....the Nigeria government should find a way to allow small business who engage in legitimate business get a cash flow out of Nigeria legally to revitalize their businesses abroad. |

SpecialAdviser:They say fatal accident and you are praying for quick recovery.....and some are liking your comment....as in how? |
Arrogant Nonsense! The Ogun River gods, don’t accept such poor sacrifices, hence he was rejected. Go hustle and make money, when you are rich; then drive your Mercedes Benz by the bank of the river and attempt it again and see if the gods will not accept. If you have a few millions in the bank and come with Uber, the gods may grumbly accept, that was the case of a few that tried it on third mainland bridge in Lagos. The gods now have choice and are very selective, they need the very best only. |
VirusComing:Tell him to relax, eat the free food and enjoy the free accommodation for the next 14 days....it is his entitlement as a citizen of this great country! |
BigBabyJesus:I doubt if you understood the SCOTUS ruling or DACA or their implications. Like you indicated, EO are not laws but mere policies. DACA is an EO just like all the other Trump's EOs, infact Trump have issued more EOs than Obama, these are policies that can be easily overturned by the next administration. However, the administration that want to overturn an EO must follow it's own lay down process for doing that, Trump's administration did not follow their own lay down process in trying to rescind DACA, it was all a political rush and down on emotions and impromptu. The Supreme court is merely telling Trump and his administration, to go back, follow it's own procedure and rescind DACA, if they still want to do it. Trump cannot ban mail-in-voting....voting in the US are the exclusive rights of each state and they make their respective laws regarding them. Some states have mail-in-ballots, others don't and those that have, have different ways to do it and who is allowed to do it and when. Each certify their own votes without recurse to what the federal government says....and the idea that illegal immigrants who are fearful of ICE votes does not reflects what is on ground in the USA, ironically...most people that have been convicted of voting illegal in the US are republicans. EO are mainly law enforcement mechanism and they have their roots in existing laws....e.g. Congress already have laws that non-immigrants who overstay their visas are illegal and are subject to law enforcement mechanisms. It is then the duty of the administration to enforce that law, but the administration do not have the budget or capacity to enforce all the laws on the books 100% and as a result, they priority....that is why a cop can see 2 drivers going above the speed limit, but would only give the person going 20 miles over the speed limit a ticket and allow the one going over by just 5 miles to go free. Like other administrations, the Obama white decided to deferred action on removing certain immigrants from the US who came in as minors and have not committed any crimes...this is what is called DACA, they are still illegals and the Trump's administration can remove their differed actions, but they have to follow their own process...Everyone in the US, even illegals, criminals, etc have a due process protection. |
If she is thinking about it that much, then she should be worried. |
BAZ001:You presented a clear reason, why it might be a more prudent idea to go get infected now, especially if you are young and health. If you look at the trend, it appear eventually no one will be spared, everyone will encounter it knowingly or unknowingly....so, why wait till later when health facilities be overwhelm, the government will no longer treat people and no free accommodation and free food for two weeks? Why not get it now, when those palliatives are still on the table, and get your immunity against getting Re infected later when the thing will start blowing through town with furry. |
SarkinYarki:He was nominated March 2nd and not in February.....this is not the first time black life matter have protested, they have been there for many years. Trump currently have no nomination for more than 200 position in his cabinet now...and he conveniently called this-in in an election year. All in all, this is an Election year nomination for Trump to pander to the black community, In March when he made that nomination, his approval rating among black in the single digits among blacks, even worst compare to 2016. His approval among Whites is evening dipping and Bidden is up against him there, whereas he bested Hillary 57% to 37% on this point. Expect to see some twits and even campaign Ads on how he nominated the first African American Service Chief and therefore is the best for them....It is all connected to Black Lives Matter, black community and the Election. |
kemicalreact:It would have been more easier to approach the ban from the framework of ‘Iran violated’ the Nuclear deal and get the buy-in of those countries had it been US did not pull out....because those countries were part of the treaty, it would have been easy to secure their votes if US framed it from the treaty point of view. The Trump administration also realize that, hence they were trying to use the Nuclear Deal agreement route to achieve their goal, but the EU countries checkmate them out...now they have no choice but to use the security council and use their own arguments without citing the treaty and China, Russian, etc does not have any obligations to support them. |
zera:It says much about the Trump advantage when “Sleepy Joe” is currently trashing the over-rated Trump. You will be surprise if you start comparing today’s political climate in the US to that of 2016. A lot have shifted and Biden is out performing Clinton this time in history 2016 and the current Trump is lacking behind his standings this time compare 2016. Given the fact that Trump only won by a mere 107k votes in three states and has not been able to expand his coalition but continue to alienate them, he is truly at a great disadvantage unless he improves. |
ecolime:That reference to people buried in as America as ‘Chicken’ caught my eyes too. It is really insulting begging money from Nigerians living in the US, some who have buried their friends, loved one and parents in US.....while indirectly referring to their deceased as chicken. |
Righteousness89:Troops needed at home in America soil? You clearly don’t know a thing or two about the US constitution. By law unless requested for by Governor of a State under war conditions, US troops are forbidden to operate on US soil. A US soldier, marine, etc cannot go to war against or fight a fellow US citizen on America soil and they are only allow to do it on foreign soil if the America citizen joined the opposition and carry arms against them. The withdrawed troops will go straight to the barracks and positioning US troops abroad only serves US interests. They are more like spies for the US intelligent agency and cover for lots of foreign covert operation and also serve as frontline aggressors for foreign hostility to protect US interests abroad. Trump is just reducing US cloth abroad everyday with his incompetence. |
siverspooon:Sir, if I may ask, how do you came about this conclusion? Are you in the US and eligible to vote? Are you on ground in the US to feel the actual political environment and inter-play with the media filter and tilt? Identity politics is fever high in the US and thanks to Trump that have driven the country hard right; there are no true independents in the US anyone, everyone is squarely in a camp either blue or red. Democrats with vote anyone with a pulse running under their ticket and Republicans will vote for a ham sandwich as long as he is running as a Republic. And unlike in 2016, there are more Republicans vowing not to vote for Trump as they believe he has divided the country than Democrats saying to they will switch and vote the other side. As far as register voters is concern, Democrats outnumbered Republicans, so it is a matter of who is able to drive their voters to the poll...Trump’s actions are igniting dormant Democrats to be turned to politics and remember Trump only won the last time with 107k votes in three states and he has since ran to the far right and has not extended his reach. The truth is, the jury is still out; so it is very premature to predict an outcome, but if you are basing your conclusion on Biden or something he may be in for a rude surprise. |
27Pushing30:I know lot more about those pollings, the climate in the US, Hillary Clinton's likeability within the democratic party, Comey's action announcing investigations against Clinton on Oct 28, just 11 days before the Elections....and the fact that Trump won by barely about 107k votes across three states and have not expanded his coalition since then...rather is he have to play a catch-up in some states he won the last time. The Jury is still out and with Trump and after three years, identity politics have increased in the US and it is very hard to see anyone who is a true independent in the US anymore. What this means, is the opportunity for a surprise outcome are getting narrow by the day and it will boil down to the party that is able to get their voters to the poll. Identity politics is so high in the US today, such that the Republicans will vote for anyone carrying their national ticket irrespective of that individual's qualities and the Democrats will also do the same. Agreed the key states are still on board, but Biden is ahead but within the margin of error, even Fox News polls indicates as much, but election day is still very far......and I wouldn't rely so heavily on the contrarian view that, since he was behind the last time and still won, it then means if he is behind this time, he will still win...the climatic are drastically different....I also believe that, just like the Democrats four years ago that pushed far left with their policies, Republicans have really pushed too far with their policies and ideas and the US is still very much a center right country....and during each election cycle they usually correct towards the center. Hence if you look back to recent past elections in the US, it is very very difficult for a single party be it Republicans or Democrats to win back-to-back four terms. |
27Pushing30:Can you produce the Fox News poll that says Trump will win?......am waiting. |
Poloyanabo1:Can you provide any independent stats on which you based your conclusions? All polls out there, including those from Fox News clearly indicates that, if the Election is held today; Biden will eat Trump’s cake despite the advantages of an incumbent. |

Inteltower:What did Trump did specifically to reduce unemployment? Pull up the US unemployment chart, you will clearly see a continuous upward trajectory right from Obama recovery and more jobs were added under Obama when compared with similar period under Trump. Trump merely inherited the good foundation put in place by Obama as not a single policy was implemented by Trump that affected the job growth. COVID-19 and this riot are the most glaring test of Trump’s ability to lead, let’s wait and see how history will remember it. The other real test? Obama inherited an economy in a recession from Bush with millions of job loses, he did a very good job in stopping the decline and start an upward climb....Trump now have an economy that have lost almost 40 million jobs and counting.....let’s waiting and see his leadership skills in stopping the decline and starting an upward climb....it is easier to talk...but Trump have to start working. |
@Teaser4 Sorry my bad, I forgot.....you guys don't trade on facts....only alternate-facts & conspiracies. You guys completely checkout, when facts that don't fit the narrow narratives your minders have feed you, even when they come from your own sources. |

Teaser4:Firstly, Washington Examiner is a conservative media and tint their editorials that way. Try to double check their statements from independent sources... Now to the substance...I read your post, but immediately saw that they were biased, but they were honest to include their source, which is the FBI annual crime reports...this is what they left out....Trump is no better, blacks been victim of crime is statistically the same under Trump and even went up in 2018 above the Obama percentages, 2019 FBI full report is not yet out. This is what I found on black victims murder rate in the USA from the same FBI source.... 2015 -> 52.3% From your source 2016 -> 52.29% https://ucr.fbi.gov/crime-in-the-u.s/2016/crime-in-the-u.s.-2016/tables/expanded-homicide-data-table-1.xls 2017 -> 51.89% https://ucr.fbi.gov/crime-in-the-u.s/2017/crime-in-the-u.s.-2017/topic-pages/tables/expanded-homicide-data-table-1.xls 2018 ->52.44% https://ucr.fbi.gov/crime-in-the-u.s/2018/crime-in-the-u.s.-2018/topic-pages/tables/expanded-homicide-data-table-1.xls 2019 - Full report still pending. |
calaway:I thought you were referring to 'slush fund' by democrats....and not individuals donating $50, $100, etc to an organization that want to bail people out, I mentioned the musician because, that donation was like $200k, which sound like 'slush'. Conservatives do the same, Trump himself have promised to bailout people arrested, I don't see a crime in donating to a non-profit organization. There were riots under Bush, Obama and many other past Presidents because of the killing of blacks by police and there were riots, destruction of properties, etc. It did not start with Trump and will not end with him....the clear difference is under previous Presidents, there were official oval office address by the President, suing for calm and providing leadership. When four white LAPD cops were acquitted in the beating of Rodney King in 1992, there were riots across US cities for more than a week, Bush addressed the Nation and sue for peace. When Freddie Gray in 2015 was killed in police custody, and there were nationwide riots, Obama made a nationwide broadcasts from the white house suing for peace. In this case, no broadcast from Trump, his statements has been divisive....He reverted back to the 1960s and took a statement from that era that, "..when they start looting, the shooting starts"...clearing engineering the riots of the 60s...He activated 1800 laws to call military on US soil, against US citizens which some argue might be unconstitutional...He is trying to shutdown any voice that does not support his views....He is not a leader, he is a fascist and a sectional group head. Go back to your history books and read again, it is those same progressive states that lead the march for freedom of the slaves....It was those same progressive states that lead the civil right fight in the 60s...It was those same progressive states that lead the march in the 20s before the constitution was rectified and granted women the right to vote. This is a new movement, the blacks in America are saying the contract they signed with America is lopsided and not been enforced fairly...just like during the slaver trade, in the 20s, 60s, etc there are great opposition from the White majority and the center. Ask yourself, can you mention any National cause in US history that result in granting rights, freedom, etc to the masses that was lead from any of the conservative states? |
calaway:Peaceful protesters are never arrested? Seriously? What part of the universe do you leave at? The slush fund by democrats is not common knowledge, you guys trade on conspiracies and assume everyone is that gullible. I know of only one female musician who have pledge to bail out people who are wrongfully arrested. Trump himself have promised to pay bail money for criminals before. I do not want to get started on all that is wrong with Trump. |
Naija246:Why don’t you want to pay property taxes? Yes, you can grow your own food, if you choose to and are able....and yes you can generate your own energy and store the excess in battery banks instead of connecting to the grid....in fact there are people who are totally off the grid today. |
calaway:And you know this, how? |
Teaser4:What did Trump do about black killings in America? And can you cite any credible source for your conclusions on the number of blacks killed under Obama vs Trump? Ensure to adjust it proportional e.g. first 3 years of Obama vs Trump’s, since Obama was President for 8yrs and Trump is 3yrs+. |

Kenplay:Opposite attracts, it’s no puzzle; it’s how the whole universe goes. |
Enwhen:Have you not ever found yourself doing what you want to do, Mr. Tough guy? What about those times you fell asleep in the church, but you truly want to stay alert, but the physiology of your body would not take any of those ‘stay awake banza’ and despite your best efforts, you dozed off with your mouth wide open with some snoring until the usher came around and slap you into reality from your shame. That time, when you were coming of age and you saw that beautiful lady and your heart skipped. Despite your best efforts, wants, preparations to talk to her, but each time you see her, the physiology of your body and the overwhelming chemicals rushing through your body will make heart quake and turn to ran away instead. |
