That is grossly incorrect; such tradition may only hold water, if they are both of the same culture or tradition, even at that the courts recognizes both parents as legitimate guardians and would not uphold traditions over parental rights, which are constitutional and trumps all traditions.

Miranda rights applies to non citizens as well as long as they are on US soil because they are under the jurisdiction of the US....only diplomats don’t have that right.

But, not getting his Miranda rights read to him is not a get out jail card....and you are only read this right after you have been arrested, which means you can be detained and given your Miranda right and everything obtained during that period is admissible because they are still doing investigation at that time...but once they say you are under arrest and put the cuffs on you, that is where it starts counting.

His lawyers are just throwing Hail Mary and pray that something stick to the wall, but it is a futile attempt.

You sound conflicted.

On one hand, you said “... I did feel like he was marrying me for ulterior motives..” and the next second, you said “...I thought he just really cared about me”. The two don’t go together.

I seriously don’t know how a self acclaimed ‘smart’ lady will get married to someone they feel have an ulterior motives towards them.

All in all, you saw the warning signs before stepping in and took no actions against them, therefore you are as complacent as your husband or you saw some huge advantages despite the troubling disadvantages ie the pros outweighed the cons hence you decided to move ahead.

The question is, what truly changed for you? Is it because he is now rude and does not care about you as much as before? Also, why do you think you are ‘stuck’? You always have options, don’t ever think you are stuck, it can emotionally incapacitate one.

Take a deep breath and jot down, what you can take and what your limits are and discuss with him. If he refuses to see reasons with you, try to consult close elderly relatives and if that does not work, start making plans to protect yourself and your babies, STDs and HIV are real and you don’t want to willingly get yourself infected...Yes, I know I used the word ‘willingly’, but if you look closely, it is not that you are in the dark about it.

Lesson for next time...if you didn’t check his phone while you guys were dating, you should not check their phone after marriage. If you suspect them to have an ulterior motive before you guys get married, it is disingenuous on your part to expect something else after marriage.

How many times dem dey construct this ‘Lagos Ibadan Expressway’?

Abi dem wan construct brand new skyway between those two cities? Money has been allocated to that project many times over.

What about the second Niger bridge? Not too long ago, they were showing us pictures of the ‘progress’ of that work and how it is almost complete and ready to be commissioned....even this Kano expressway is another white elephant project.

Nigerian government have shown that, they are incapable of executing any project that benefits the masses or to be trusted...I think it will be bad to release that money to the government and trust them to use it for the said projects, instead the money should be put in an escrow account from where direct payments to contractors can be made after verification.

And Nigeria government should force contractors to get insurance certificate from banks or insurers that stipulates that the government will be made whole by the insurance issuers for all abandon and incomplete projects...the insurance companies can in turn go after these companies including liquidifying their assets including total take over if they fail to hold their end of the bargain by completing projects as agreed....even my common house, I don’t allow a contractor who does not have a verifiable insurance certificate to come near it...I must have somewhere trustworthy to file a claim against if the contractor messes up...talkless of a whole country.

Better to erase the memory and reminder to the villages. Also, very very few people will buy such a house, plus the legality of such a sale is questionable, giving the felon hope that he may reclaim the house one day through a court action.

Even if the government seized the house and sell it, they are setting themselves up for unending legal battles and the unwise buyer will continue to have sleepless from both constant threats to their lives from the gangs and court battles.

Normally, at state level the Governor can revoke the CofO without any court battle and proceed to demolish it, since it will now be standing on an illegal land, but the Government cannot sell the house unless a court gave them the right to.....all in all, that is why demolishing houses like these are rampant.

You are not affected by the ban, so tune him off and go about your business, the America citizens of Nigerians ethnicity who are affected like his advocacy and they might have been the ones that reached out to him.

Technically, the man decides the sex of the baby... not the woman. You can only contribute an X since you are XX and the man's sperm contributed either an X or a Y - thus deciding the sex.

This is so old and so wrong and an attempt to simplify a rather complex process.

The blame is on both couple, because each ejaculation of a guy contain countless X n Y, so the guy does not control if it is X or Y that got there first just like the lady does determine which of her two X is chosen for the released embryo.

The hard part is, enhancing the Y’s chances of getting there first....and for that to happen they both have equal roles to play in education, process, preparation, timing, etc....sometimes, it could even be that, the lady’s pelvic is too hash for the survival for the Y, giving the X the edge, timing is also very important...there is a whole body of science around this, they should educate each other and work together to archive the common objective.
