Airports are equipped with instrument land systems, the better your equipment then you can overcome most weather conditions and still land. NMIA have a very old system plus it malfunctioned hence the pilots could not land. Had the ILS system at the airport were cat3, despite the poor weather the plans would have been able to land. |

Yes, Naturalized citizen can be denaturalized and deported, but the bar is very high; the only obvious one is, if it was found that you falsify documents or lied to obtain your citizenship. The other one is if you refused to testify before Congress, when invited regarding your gasification and this is status bar for 10 years. The others are if you gained citizenship through the military and was dishonorably discharged or join a proscribed group by the US and carried arms against the US. Good informational, but wrong on two fronts. 1. All persons born or naturalized in the United States and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. This is the 14th amendment protected right in the US constitution, an Act of US Congress cannot even take it away, talkless of a Presidential EO which is far inferior to an Act of Congress. This only exception to this constitutional protected right are children born in the US to discuss diplomats, because diplomats and their kids are not subject to the jurisdiction of the USA. 2. Immigrant Visa is the target because, they are more harder to remove from the US and protected by an Act of Congresss, therefore can’t be touched by future Presidential EOs. Visitors can be pickup anytime and sent packing to their home country even by a ‘night bus’. Also the US still want you to come and spend all hard earned money there, without affording you a single right. They want Nigerian politicians to keep coming to spend their loot there to boost their economy....and if you take the statistic, on average Non immigrant visa applicants tend to have more money or access to money compare to the average immigrant visa applicant...this is so because as a non immigrant visa applicant, part of what you need to proof is access to lots of cash/assets to support you in the US and to fall back to in Nigeria that will serve as a drive for you to return home....but for an immigrant visa applicant, you don’t have to prove any of those...the worst case scenario depending on the category, you will be asked to tell your sponsor to submit an affidavit of support and if your sponsor is not able to meet the burden, they can ask friends, relatives...in fact any Tom dick and Harry to assist and they can get many joint sponsors until the burden is met. |

But this should not stop you from the marriage if the intentions of the marriage is not immigration benefits. Man vess, go demand for refund, but na lie! Money don enter voice mail, I koko enter Airpeace waka and that was the last time myself or any of my friends who will listen patronized Arik. Sunnycliff:The above is not true! Time to update yourself on US constitution, you are royally wrong. Also Nigeria constitution is different from that of US in tends of impeachment. The Nigeria constitution put impeachment as removal, which is wrong with the English language definition of the word impeachment. The US constitution and the English language definition of impeachment are the same and it mean indicting someone of a crime and as per the US only the House have the SOLE power of impeaching a President, and nothing the Senate does can invalidate what the House has done, because the Senate does not have the power of impeachment. All the Senate can do is to vote to either convict or acquit a President that has already been impeached by the House. |

Going into this, everyone know he will not be convicted, even before the House started the impeachment inquiry, they know the Senate will acquit him, this is no news...the only news is one Republican sided with the Democrats. Also acquitted does not mean, his impeachment by the House is nullify or wipes clean; he was, still and forever be counted as a US President that was impeached. Lastly, all two other US Presidents that were impeached before Trump were also acquitted by the Senate, so it is near impossible to convict a US President after impeachment, it has never been done, more so why today’s Senate vote is no news and changes nothing. |

Each party is courting their base and counting on them to come out in large numbers during the next elections....There are more registered Democrats than Republicans in the USA, therefore if the turn is huge, the GOP are always afraid and get trashed, that is why you see them doing everything to reduce turnouts from reducing poling places, reducing early voting days, reducing poling hours, etc. Trump Presidency has exposed the Republicans that, they don’t care about the country and that, it is party first....democratic voters have been making this point to their leaders for years and they have not been listening, but they now have proofs. Pelosi will not loose a single vote by what she did, but will stiff up more progressive up that have been clamoring that their leaders are too lay back. |

As far as the new rule, if you do not have an immigrant visa on your passport by Feb 21st, you will be affected; except if you have attended interview before that date and were ask to go bring additional documentation e.g. another I864, Declaration from a Joint Sponsor, a different Birth certificate, etc...these you will be asked to drop off and you can keep monitoring your email/phone for your passport pick up alert. Please note that, it is not a LAW, it is just a policy change, look at it on the same level as the Lagos State Governor Sanwo-Olu banning Okada in some part of Lagos. That policy can change tomorrow, next week, next month, next year and surely with a new Democratic President in the USA, which could be next year or next five years. So, get married and go about your life! moreso if you are married for a long time before filing for a visa, it add more credence to your story....so this policy will not be there for forever. In fact, my believe is that; Trump exploited some loopholes in the immigration ACT, and given the polarity in the US political eliminate now, if the Democrats gets into power on all three tiers next time, they will go in and tighten those....especially the public charge Rule, which is applicable to every immigrate except IR2 children, because congress single them out and say, they will not be subject to public charge and as a result the Public charge policy did not affect them. |
