Why can't a brother of good status in the USA successfully invite and bank roll his brother's visit to USA?
That is not how non-immigrant or visitor’s visa works.....having a US citizen brother can be a negative to your visitor’s visa application because you can been seen as having a dual intent, because you also qualify for green card visa and might not want to come back to Nigeria.

Your cousins didn’t get sibling visa; in fact 10 years use to be the previous wait time, it is now about 12 years.

I would like to be more enlightened on this.

If my brother, I meant my own blood brother becomes an American citizen, I as a Nigerian, what do I stand to gain from it?

Will it increase my chances of traveling to America, will I have better chances to gain from institutions there, or and what other benefits do I stand to gain.
More likely to reduce your chances of getting any non-immigration or visitors visa; since you will be viewed more likely to stay behind and not return home.

On the bright side, he can file category f4 migration visa for you, the bad news is the wait time is currently about 12 years, but the truth is; if filed now, before you know it, the time will be here.

So should we say the US is also irresponsible with the amount of civilians that has been killed in Syria, Afghanistan and Iraq too?... although the people killed are not US citizens but are they not human lives too?.
I hear you, but the scenarios & dynamics are different.

Here Iran is operating under her own airspace, they have total & absolute control over their airspace and knows or show know exactly what is in there airspace and which coordinates they are.

Iran’s Air traffic control just the Plane an all clear signal to go, Iran military are professionals and have access to all that info and should know the flight pattern of that plane from lift up from the airport....moreso all commercial planes have callsigns and tail signs that can easily be spotted.

This is incompetency at Iran’s highest professional level and a big screwup that makes them a laughing stock.

Yes, it’s very unfortunate that innocent victim fall casualty to US bombings in those places that you have mentioned, but they were in the immediate vicinity of the intended target and it is anyone’s guess, if they will be hit or not....and US is operating on a foreign soil, where they do have absolute control....they are apples & oranges in comparison.

Not true, the responsibility is squarely on Iran, they are incompetent and the military leadership should be held accountable.

The truth is, any foreign country have the right to sanction another, it is just that US influence is so vast, therefore their sanction hurts more.

By PMB closing our border to Ghana and the other border countries, that is Nigeria sanctioning these countries...By saying Nigeria will not important foreign rice, that is also sanction.

The only thing Nigeria can’t afford to do, bit US does is....if they sanction country A....Country B will cut ties with country A within the letters of that sanction, this way they don’t get monies they actual from such dealings with country A get frozen in US banks and since most international trades are done in dollars, most countries have to fall in line.

Just imagine taking out a fully fledged legitimate army general of a sovereign country because of alleged killing of a US contractor.
Iran design the launching of the Rockets Knockouts to ensure that no US personal were hit....am even sure they gave the US advance notice.

It was launched in the night when everyone was sleeping to limit human exposure and the casualties counts to US after Iran fired more than a dozen Knockouts into 3 US bases is zero.

Iran did this to safe face at home that, see....we retaliated....they know US is not going to response if their are no casualties...Remember Iran downed US drone a few months ago and since there were no casualties, the US let it go.

No one want war, including the US....but all these are just games by both sides and for the US defense contractors to sell their stockpiles of weapons.

Sometimes, some of them don't think like rstional beings... Let's hope Iran doesn't retaliate at a point that will escalate the whole thing..
Even if it escalates, they will both eventually cool off, Iran have a long history of conflicts with the USA, no bi today....USA have sponsored various coup d'état there and many other conflicts, lets not forget Iran escalating it and holding about 52 Americans in 1979 including diplomats hostage for 444 days leading to the signing of the Algiers Accords.

Trump have the ace up his sleeves in this conflict, but if Iran play it smart and don't fall into the obvious traps that Trump is setting for them, they will come out on top here...Trump wants a second term to prove a point, especially after being impeached and the US population have an history of not abandoning a President at war....but if Iran play this smart and draw this out, with smart moves; the America populations will start slipping away from Trump and this is an election year, so time is not in Trump's favor; Iran have to size on that opportunity.

Iran contributing to the defeat of Trump at the polls is a huge upset for the history books and a huge pay back....You do not have to give your opponent a knock-out to defeat them, play it smart like Anthony Joshua's rematch with Andy Ruiz, avoid the center at all cost, don't provoke a hand-to-hand combat or wrestling; stay focus and go for the long game, while acquiring points along the way with international diplomacy, sympathy and support....Trump does not understand this kind of game, he does not have the patience nor the attention span or the diplomatic acumen to outsmart one here....Iran should seek his weak points, he has many and exploit them.

Even this Qassem Soleimani that everybody is making noise about, using to work and corporate with the US in their rampage throughout the Middle East with the full backing and support of the Almighty US military might....If you hitch a ride with the tiger, do be coming to disturb me, when you end up in his stomach....I abeg who get sugar, I get garri!

It depends on the objective of that war, if the US is not interested in reign change or not interested in sending foot soldiers on ground into Iran, like in the Iraq for hand to hand battle; they will finish Iran from space and sea and will suffer very few casualties.

In such a warfare, Iran will be forced to play defense most of the time, while US control and dominates their airspace.....For Russian joining? Do not count on that, what they will loss in far more greater than what they will gain; unless Iran is ready to gift 50% of her oil fields to Russian, even after that, Russia think deep and hard...the best they can do is to supply Iran arms & admonition covertly.

And I do not see Russian opening a direct confrontation with the US. Listen all these world leaders are scare shit of dying or losing their acquired loots and wealth, a world war where the US and Russian are on the opposing side, will ensure a MAD - Mutual Assured Destruction, this is so because both countries have dukes.

Presidents and leaders of these countries, including Nigeria only boast of confrontation, unless there are some zombie foot soldiers ready to fight and die for them, but if they are guarantee that; a particular conflict will bring themselves face to face with death and the death of their family members and wealth, they will back down; there is a method to their madness, they are not suicidal.

Nigerians are still investing huge money in applying for visa, only to get denied. I think the revenue from visa application will see an uptick. IN TOO DEEP Screaming girl, 6, ‘sucked into swimming pool pump and left trapped for three hours in agony’ on Costa del Sol holiday
EXCLUSIVE

A SIX-YEAR-OLD girl was sucked into a swimming pool pump and left trapped for three hours in agony while on holiday in Costa del Sol, her family claim.

Terrified Zara Clarkson desperately had to keep her head above water for hours as firefighters armed with jackhammers smashed through the pool's concrete wall to free her.

Zara had her arm badly damaged in the pool side incident at Costa del Sol
Zara Clarkson's arm was sucked into the pool while she swam while on a family holiday

The little girl's arm has since swollen three times its normal size - with doctors fearing she could have suffered blood poisoning from the suction.

Dad Zack, 46, of Manchester, said: "Zara was panicking and screamed out ‘daddy the pool is sucking me and it won’t stop'.[b]

"Something with that kind of suction would have easily pulled a smaller child under the water and they would have been killed."

Zack said his instinct had been to drag his daughter’s arm out but he stopped knowing this risked causing even greater damage.

Instead, he stayed "cheek to cheek" with Zara keeping her calm as emergency services attempted to saw open the pool’s drainage system.

Zara was panicking and screamed out ‘daddy the pool is sucking me and it won’t stop'

Dad Zack Clarkson
He said: "She is a brave little kid but of course, but it has had an effect on her, she is really upset and has told us she never wants to go swimming again."

The dad and daughter were enjoying their first family holiday at the luxury villa in Estepona with Zara’s twin sister Lucy and their mum Claire, 42, having only brought the property in the Villas de Santa Maria at Christmas.

But the trip was ruined as little Zara became stuck on Friday, with dramatic images showing the poolside patio torn up circular saws and drills used by emergency services.

Zack added: "I am a tough lad but my first thought was to go to the corner of the pool and have a quiet sob.

Zara’s mum Claire added: "It was unbearable, I felt helpless and just wanted her out."

Doctors now fear that the force of the suction may have forced toxins to be released into Zara’s bloodstream.

It had been claimed in respected local newspaper Diario Sur that the pump switch was turned off at the time of the incident but Zack denied it.
[/i]
The Sun has contacted the villa for comment.

Mum Claire said she felt helpless as she watched her little girl get sucked into the pool filter
Zara's arm was left badly damaged
Emergency crews used drill hammers to get the little girl
It took emergency services hours to get the little girl out
Zara was tested by docs who feared she could have suffered kidney damage
This scenario is totally different.

As you can see from the pictures, the pump intake was to the side of the pool; she must have placed her hands over the inlet to experience the strong pull of her hand, thereby making it to get stuck.

Pool intakes are 1.5 to 2 inches thick in diameter and does not have enough force to pull a human weight towards itself, but if you place your hands or any of your body parts over them, you will experience a pulling effect of the suction force over that part of your body. If it were true that these pumps can pull a human towards them, no one would be able to swim in pools, since all pools have pump and these pump are on most of the time the pool is open to help with water circulation. Moreso, pool pumps manufacturers would have all gone out of business as they would not be able to withstand the lawsuits that will follow.

I don’t know, if you have rescued someone before or watch a drowning individual being rescued before; you need more than the abilities to swim to perfectly do that. Drowning is not a good position to be in, fears & panic sets in and you try grabbing anything & everything around including the rescuers and dragging them down with you.

Rescuing a drowning victim is a very dangerous job even for trained professionals and you don’t enter straight into the water and swim empty handed towards the victim to attempt rescue, you are putting yourself in grave dangers of not coming out alive. Even lifeguards don’t do that, they enter the water with a buoyant device or a line tied to the edge or a floatation device, or while wearing a life vest, etc...they need something that can float or an aid, some even stand on the edge and throw you a lifeline or a floatation device, despite their years of acquired swimming skills & trainings, they don’t just enter the water go at it towards the victim.

Bros, na wao for you!

The way wey you come dey move dis goal post no get level oh!

The OP of this trend stated falsely that America is deadliest compare to Nigeria; I countered with data and stats that, it is twice more safer to live in the US compare to Nigeria....you then came along and stated that, it is not true and painted a picture depicting were you are living and America using words like...As at now, nowhere is safe. From Churches to Movie Theaters to Concerts to Malls to Schools to Synagogues to Mosques to Parks to Nightclubs to Office Buildings to festivals to Stores to Military Bases to Bars to Post Offices to Yoga Studios....

I challenged you that, you are exaggerating and that crime stats in where you are living in the US is not as you described and you gave me your zip code and I posted data supporting the fact that, you live in the safest city in Mississippi...then you responded and stated that my stats are.....off from the realities we have on ground here.., naturally I was thinking you were going to post data to directly disprove my figures...instead you pivoted and started comparing gun violence within homicides between the US and England & Wales, Canada, Australia, etc...

Bros, which countries are we discussing or comparing? I never stated that, US was the safest place to live on earth, the stats does not support that. some facts though....in all those countries you mentioned above; gun ownership is a privilege enjoyed by an exclusive few, as a result guns in the civilian population are very few and their overall population is a drop in the bucket compare to that of US...comparatively, gun ownership is a right enshrined in the US constitution.

More importantly, lets be focus here and compare apples to apples: Are we discussing US versus Nigeria -where is safer...which is the purpose of this trend; or you are going to send me stats that disputes the ones I posted stating that Madison MS, where you say you are living is not the doom & gloom you stated, but rather the safest city in Mississippi & that my stats are off from the realities we have on ground here; or are we discussing USA versus the rest of the world - where is safer?...it is impractical to have an objective conversation, if the goal posts keep moving in-between each iteration of the conversation, that is how mad people talk and that is not my objective here.

My zip code is 39110 go ahead and pull up the stats for this entire year and then apologize to me after you are done.
Bros, Again am not disputing your figures; all I am saying is that, it is wrong to use that raw figure as indicative of the whole of America vi-sa-vi Nigeria, without indexing it with the total population of each country.

I will take it from you that, 342,439 died from gun violence in the US from 2008 to 2017; index that with the fact that; there are more than 300 million people living in America, that comes to about 0.001% over the 10 years period you have quoted. Yes, a single murder is one too much, and if you are closer to the murder, you tend to fill it more and more likely to exaggerate it, because emotions are involved....but, if you step back a bit, remove emotions from the equation, the truth is a murder rate of 0.001% is truly phenomenal, given that there are about 1.5 guns within the America civilian population to 1 person.

From your zip code, you live in Madison MS in the South; surprisedly Madison is the top safest city in Mississippi.....are you sure you live in Madison MS or you must agreed that, you were just exaggerating?

These are Madison, MS crime stats...nothing close to the gloom and doom scenarios you painted in your previous post....the irony lost here is, do you know how many people willing commit 'murder' for a chance to live in Madison, MS?

From Churches to Movie Theaters to Concerts to Malls to Schools to Synagogues to Mosques to Parks to Nightclubs to Office Buildings to festivals to Stores to Military Bases to Bars to Post Offices to Yoga Studios

Nowhere is safe from the scourge of gun violence in America. I have experienced it up close and personal and stats do not do justice to the hella mess going on here
Bros, where do you live? Is it Syria!

You just described bullshit and an hyperbole right there! Agreed, people who live very close to the epicenter of a menace allow their emotions to influence objectivity when describing a National trend.

I also live in the US and what you described above only happens in Syria, am in New Jersey; Camden New Jersey is the murder capital of the United States and I have been there, nothing like the hyperbole you stated above happens in Camden, I have been to Newark, Elizabeth, etc that are also very notorious but not as Camden and it is not like what you have stated.

If you truly live in the US as you claimed, you will realize that; there are thousands of cities, neighborhood, etc where there are very little to no murder, year-in and year-out; e.g. where I currently lives, almost everyone have a gun, but have consistently maintain zero murder rates for many years now, except in 2019, when there was just 1 and this is not a small town.

I doubt if you live in the US, otherwise I dare you to give me your zip code, and I will post here; the up to the minute murder rate of that area, including the figures for last night, and the general population here will see your hyperbole for what they are.

I hate to inform you that, the stats I quoted above, have the murder rate for the worst areas in the US baked-in, including where you currently lives (if it is in the US), Camden, Baltimore, St. Louis, etc. The dynamic of these stats vi-sa-vi Nigeria is, we do not keep records in Nigeria, every murder in America is reported, documented and we get to discuss them on Nairaland, but you know that is not the case in Nigeria. Even not all murder cases reported to the police are tabulated and added to the National figures in Nigeria.

Please upgrade your struggle, so that you can move from Syria to the USA and when in the USA, one good clue, not to live in black or colored neighborhoods, yes the cost of living is more expensive and affinity to jobs for blacks in these neighborhoods are very low, but if you upgrade your hustle enough, you can afford it.

But it is Africa that is not safe
I take it that, you are not a statistician, hence you are quoting figures out of context.

The bottom line is, you are twice more likely to get murder in Nigeria compare to the USA.

Try to index your figures against the total population of both countries, the murder rate in the US is about 4.9 per 100,000 of the population, whereas in Nigeria, it is 9.85 per 100,000 of the population.

The irony of all these is that, there are more guns within the civilian population in USA indexed per population compare to Nigeria. Imagine if the rate of guns on the street of Nigeria is equal to those in the USA, Nigeria will be a war zone. There is now 120.5 guns to each 100 residents in the USA, which means about 20% more guns than the whole population, imagine that kind of scenario today couple with the level frustration in Nigeria and see the murder rate sky-rocking.

Lets compare apples to apples.

Without a CCTV footage of the incident, all most of us can do is speculate. Check out the story below where a 6 year-old girl almost drowned at a similar or same Spanish resort (the pool picture looks so similar to the one in question) in August of this year (4 months ago). While the specific scenario might be different, its interesting to note that the resort also disputed with the girl's father on the facts of the story in that instance.

The scenario you stated above, I also looked it up and read it is possible because, that little girl swim to the side of the pool and place her hand close or over the intake valve.

As you can see from the pictures in the link, intake suction was at the side of the pool close to the surface, which contradict the case here; where the Pastor's wife stated that they were pulled to the center of the pool.

If one is playing close to the edge of the pool or places their hand or leg on the intake, they are going to experience a pull, but since it is close to the edge, one can easily grab the edge of the pool and rescuers that came to help will have the edge of the pool to hold on to for support, while they attempt to assist you...in this case, it appear the father and sibling enter inside the pool and swim towards the center in an attempt to try to rescuer the girl.

I have an 8th deep pool and carry out the maintenance all by myself all season long; Agree a CCTV is a good source of evidence, but it is easy to to determine if a particular scenario is plausible or not without one.

The only other plausible scenario is, depending on how the drain at the bottom of the pool is connected to the pump i.e. if the drain valves at the pump were shut such that, the water from the drain is not getting out of the pool, but circulating back into the pool....If that, is the case if you go down to the bottom and make contact with the drain, you will experience a suction....but this cannot happen to three people at the same time because of our surface area, and it is not black hole that sucks every weight toward it.

"The service may not hesitate to use enforcement activities including imposition of lien on bank accounts of such defaulting companies to recover any outstanding debts when it discovers that the taxpayer has misled the service in her duty to observe tax compliance"

@ bolded, this got me confused. I'm I to teach the FIRS officials their work. Don't they have records? What does misled mean? Someone can only be misled if the facts are not known. Tax payers records with the FIRS represents facts which is expected to be in custody of the FIRS.

I just hope is not another one of those misguided strategy to place lien on tax payer's account.

Meanwhile, should you require tax support service to assist with speedy processing and obtaining of your TCC from the FIRS, please to not hesitate to tap me on my signature.
As a business owner, FIRS expect you to report all incomes and don’t inflate or pad expenses, this way they can accurately determine your tax liabilities.

Failure to accurately report incomes & expensive is misleading FIRS.

Yet the girl's cap was found stuck in the filter system...check the speed of the filter or pump system. Something went wrong. The woman won't be lying if her husband and kids couldn't swim na.
Pool pulps are circulation systems and incapable of generating enough current to pull a human body anywhere.

Everything left floating in the pool ends up in the filter or attached to one of the intake valves.

Also her narrative that they were pulled to the center of the pool is in direct conflict with the fact that her hat was pulled to the pool filter intake.

Pool filter intakes are located at the side of the pool and very close to the surface, about less than a feet below the water level. If pool pulp was pulling them, it would have pulled them towards the pool filter intake or the other intake located on side of the pool and not the center of the pool.

The only valve usually located at the center of a pool and at the bottom of the deep side is the the drain valve, use to drain water from the pool and empty it and only use during pool maintenance and not when the pool is in use and that too does not have enough force to pull a body.

The fact that there was no lifeguard at the pool, at the time of the incident makes the owners culpable.

The question now is, how much compensation is enough compensation?
Not true, I don’t know of any public pool or beach that have 24hrs lifeguard.

There are posted signs indicating when lifeguards will be on duty and when they will be off and also notice that you swim at your own risk.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: How Do I Handle This Issue At Work? by linearity: 6:52pm On Dec 28, 2019
Hire a School Administrator, someone with the Education and skills in School administration, call him/her School Administrator or Headmaster, Headmistress, Principal, it does not matter as long as they know the that person is in charge, then that person reports to you.

I don’t know, why you think you can’t implement Changes through an Administrator, in fact that is the best way to implement effective changes, because you do it behind the scenes, you just direct them and what to do and evaluate results.

That individual should also have the power to query, fire and hire people subject to your review. Let the workers know there are rules and regulations and don’t be afraid to approve queries, firing, etc because if they believe there will be no consequences, they will not fall in line.

They should know, they were hired to do a particular job and they must do it and be held accountable.

Forget about the back talks, you can’t please everyone no matter how hard you may try....just make sure you are fair, ethical & honest.

Narrow down to what the real issue is; you just given us the symptoms of the problem, without disclosing what the problem causing the symptoms is/are.

A problem known, is half solved goes the popular saying.

You have to determine if you are ashamed or shy. Shy means been nervous or timid and it has a root cause, it could be something you don’t want others to know about you, her, your relationship or something else. It could also be a result of your internal difficulties to deal with certain things or your inability to.

Been ashamed means a feeling of been embarrassed or guilty of something. Are you ashamed of you, her or your relationship? Is there something you have done with her, you don’t want people to associate with you guys or something you don’t want people to project towards you guys that is false? It could be something very benign e.g. you feel people would think you guys are fvcking if you hold hands, if you have done, you are feeling guilty about it and don’t want anyone else to make the connection; if you have not done it, you don’t want anyone to falsely project that that.

Some solution could be; find a place where it will be near impossible to run into anyone both of you may know...another area of town maybe another town, a park, secluded area of the park or right in the open where everyone is distracted eg the beach, shoprite mall, amusement park, etc.

This article is a little flawed in respect of the message, it is trying portray....

As a dual citizen, you are subject to the laws of both countries and regardless of being a diplomat with diplomat immunity from one country, the other country can enforce their laws on you especially if they have a criminal case against you as long as that enforcement is in line with their laws.

She is even more vulnerable because, she is in a third country, so if the Nigerian government is serious, they can extradite her and during the extradition hearing in court, the Judge will grant the extradition base on her Nigerian citizenship.

My conclusion is that, based on something’s best known to them, the Nigerian government is not really serious about extraditing her to Nigeria to face the music.....one thing tells me that, just like Dasuki, the case will be tied up in court almost forever. But, that will be either because the Nigerian prosecution are not sophisticated enough or the Nigerian Judicial System is inept, either way the problem is the Government’s and only them can fix it, so the fault is still theirs.
