Filing dates is not a good guage for when someone would get interview, since all the filings have different categories, different priority dates and different dates when NVC fully accepted all documents.

I think a good barometer, will the date stamp on your NVC webportal that stated when all your documents were accepted and also if your priority date is current.

USCIS is one big broken bureaucratic agency that treats cases differently. I-539 extension is no longer as easy as you paint it to be here, things are changing drastically. And the stay period is now based on what you came for, the traditional 6months stamp on B1/B2 is being changed. I have a friend that was just given two weeks to attend a conference and head back to Nigeria. Trump administration is not playing around, they are hell bent on clamping down on both legal and illegal immigration!

Different strokes different folks, I have friends that have been extending b1/b2 endlessly some eventually exchange it for f1 visa.....not all USCIS service offices are taking things as drastic as Trump wants.....many even opposes his stands on immigration.

You have to look behind the immediate effect of the ban and see how it will affect Nigeria's perception, reputation and economy abroad.

Nigeria is no where close to Iran in advancement. If US ban Nigeria and cite security concerns, other countries will take notice and will try to adjust accordingly and rethink their relationship with Nigeria, investors, might take a step back, etc.

In a way and at the long run, it will be better for Nigeria; because necessity they say is the mother of invention and the fact that it will also affect politicians and their kids schooling abroad, it might be a wake-up call to look inward and start making Nigeria work for Nigerians.

FYI: The impeachment of an America President, it purely a political process that is why, even if the Senate convict Trump, (which they will not); that does not mean he will be prosecuted criminally...The Senate will have to refer the matter to DOJ and DOJ have to decide to prosecute.

The US constitute states that, a President can be impeached on "Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors[b][/b]", you can look it.

A high crime is one that can be done only by someone in a unique position of authority, which is political in character, who does things to circumvent justice. You can look it up, I have provided you a startup reference below.

What you said is true, but removal of a President in the US is a political and not a criminal process.

So the politics will hold swing and he will not be removed from office.....no US President has ever been indicted by the Senate, because the Senators as juries can ignore the facts.

Even in criminal trials by Juries in the US in criminal courts, juries can ignore the facts and evidence and vote a different way, if they felt that will meet the course of justice....read about ‘jury nullification’.

Trump has been impeached already!

Only the House have the authority to impeached a President and they did just that last month...then Senate has no say on impeachment.

The constitution states that, after the President have been impeached, for him or her to be removed from office, the House must send the Articles of Impeachment to the Senate where the already impeached President will be tried.

We all know the Senate will not remove him from office and it has nothing to do with the alleged impeached crimes as there are more than enough evidence and witnesses to the crime; but because the Republicans holds the Senate.
