It is kind of interesting that, the guy wore gloves and have a backup pairs in his pocket against electrical shock, but forget to put on his shoes.

One have to be totally insulated before handling electrical installations.

If he had put on insulating shoes, even the high tension enters his body, there would not have an exit and he would have still been alive provided he did not create high potential difference by placing his two feets too far from each other.

HeyCorleone:
The CBN just wants to use mental gymnastics to confuse people.

The other day, they gave a shady example on how the 2% only affects money above 500k. so if it's 501000, you pay 2% of the 1000, that's N20.
But who the hell withdraws N501000?
They will implement just the way the current N52 on withdrawal is implemented.

If you withdraw 500k, you will not see additional line item fees on your account statement. However, if you withdraw about 500k at once or cumulatively over a single day, you will see additional line item charge in your account indicating the fees charged to your account for the excess (any amount above 500k) .

so for a withdrawal of 500K, I need to keep aside raw 15K to give Nigerian government that doesn't even care how I make my money after paying other Levie and tax in making d moneyhuh
Not true though.

For a withdrawal of 500k, you will not be charged any fees, but e.g. for a withdrawal of 600k, you will be charged 3% of 100k; which is the amount in excess of 500k...meaning 3k will be charged as fees if you withdraw 600k.

To avoid the fees, come back the next day; since you would have hit your daily free withdrawal threshold or if you bank with multiple banks, make an online transfer to the other bank and go pick up the balance in cash there.
BusinessRe: CBN's New Policy On Cash Deposits: Nigerians React by linearity: 8:13pm On Sep 18, 2019
This is a pretext to raise revenue to cover budget shortfalls.

If it were truly aim at reducing circulation of cash in the economy, the policy will encourage deposits. Why charge someone who want to deposit cash into the bank, who is in fact helping you to remove cash from circulation?

This policy will only encourage people to hold on to cash and avoid the bank as long as possible and when they do, they will deposit the money or withdraw them in piecemeal over an extended period of time to avoid the charges.

It's a sad practice to help people and publicise it. It's a sad Nigerian practice. When you help, be humble. If the beneficiary announces it, then they are showing gratitude. It's cheap for helper to publicize this. Like those fools buying noodles, and pepsi for orphanage.simpku buy and donate to them. If the donation is to avoid items being stolen by staff of charity (Naija way no pure) I may understand
I don’t think that is the problem, I think given the actress out burst, I think it was good, this was made public; maybe the guy has a foresight.

The actress is saying, she was NEVER HELPED, she said, the guy is lying about the AGN helping her.

If the publicity was her irk, she would have said so, but she did not. She is a sore loser, an example of an individual that should not be helped; it is great this was publicized, otherwise people would not have known her true color....

Why insult those, who contributed money to come to your aid, even if they erred in making that fact public? Why response and deny you were even help? She have issues that, she need to address.

Duggedised12:
actually under the law 15 years old can give consent to sex so this cannot be classified as statutory rape maybe under another type of rape. Under the Nigerian constitution both the criminal and penal code,an 11 years old can give sexual consent.

The real crime here is abortion which carries a upto 14 years jail term for the man and 3 years for the lab scientist. The tricky part here is i don't know if the young girl will be prosecuted too considering the circumstances surrounding this case as that carries a jail time of up to 7 years.

I think our legislators are sleeping buffons who are nothing but a burden on our economy with their bogus allowances. There is too much confusion and many loop holes when it comes to age consent in Nigeria and a good lawyer will wriggle the suspect out of it as there is no clear direction in the law regarding this issue. But i am certain he will be nailed on the abortion charge
Am ashamed of my country Nigeria that you are indeed correct.

I had to look up the Nigerian criminal code and was shocked to see that, the age of consent is 11. I think Northern politicians must have had a great influence in determining this, since girls are given out for marriage very young in the North.

I think, at the minimum; the best thing would have been to allow each state to determine their age of consent just like in the US....this way, each state can be allowed to determine her own destiny.

Politics is a dirty game and all, fine, but this sends a wrong message across the board, to all Nigerians.
What people who are focused on the Certificate fail to realize is that, the constitution stated clearly that one need “a secondary school certificate or it’s equivalent.

With PMB trainings and educations within the military, any unbiased reviewer of the records would conclude that, he must have attained the the equivalency of a secondary school education.

‘Diluted brain’ is the more appropriate phrase... undiluted means intact, not moderated or weakened in any way.

Synonyms for undiluted includes fine, pure, refined, straight, unadulterated, etc...I doubt if this is want you meant.

Synonyms for dilute includes diminished, adulterated, alter, reduce, cooked, lessen, etc...This is the exact nature of the Nigerian brain leader and in line with your other submissions.

Having sex with a minor is statutory rape and a crime against the state, it is no longer a family issue at that time.

It is the duty of the state to bring the culprits to justice.

Exactly. Trump na smart ass grin grin grin

You can't outshine your master

Why him no tweet yesterday about his "offer" to resign?
@gassbee

What you guys say is most likely closer to the truth about Bolton offering to resign, because of their numerous clashes...but your conclusion that Trump out smarted him is inaccurate.

In any establishment especially governance, you have to give due respect to you your boss and for continuity and stability and it would have be bad and unethical for Bolton to resign and bolt out through the door. He have to first tender his resignation to Trump and if Trump refused his resignation, he cannot leave....not because he is tied to the job or unable to leave, but out of respect and stability, he will have to stay until his Boss accepts his resignation.

The former AG, Jeff Sessions did the same thing; Trump publicly disgrace and abuse this guy, because he recused himself from the Trump Investigation, Trump felt that Sessions would have been an 'inside man' to assist him and was disappointed when Session recused himself and he made this guy see hell....Session on numerous occasion offered to resign, but Trump refused and this poor guy continued in that job despite his daily insults for Trump, until Trump released him to leave.

For Trump to turn around and say he fired Bolton, you clearly see it is not smart, but childish and attention seeking. He always want to portray externally that he have the best out come and that is as a result of deep seated insecurity with Trump that, he felt the only way to cover that insecurity is never to look weak externally, but in private this guy is a total mess.

The guy found out that same day, and from the previous video; he wanted to quietly drive away from the venue, but the lady refused that the door of the vehicle be closed....hence he got out and everyone start following him around.

I truly don’t see anything he had done to be wrong. And why are they forcing him to marry her now is beyond me!

same same, you are broke!!..if you are serious, you will pay to see the accused jailed!!!.. why do you want him to pay for legal/litigation fees?
Do you know the difference between a civil vs a criminal case?

Do you know that, no body goes to jail or prison in a civil matter, unless when they defies a court order emanating from the case?

Do you know that, the criminal case as stated above is still on-going and being handled separately by the police?

That said, I think the timing of the civil suit is very poor and unprofessional. Civil suits are usually filed after the criminal case is over, even if the accused is found not guilty in the criminal case...since civil cases have a lower threshold to proof guilt.

What is the definition of justice?

The alleged crime was committed against her, not you and not the public; so if the they are asked to negotiate a settlement to resolve the underlying case; she have the right to demand an apology and damages.

An apology from the MOG presupposes that he is guilty and that in itself meets the bundle of justice. Even if the case went through the court to conclusion, not all guilty persons go to prison or serve time.

My opinion is, the Pastor will be too stupid to apologize as that is equivalent of admitting guilt or pleading guilty.

Now, he has directed they be evacuated from SA, which is most appropriate to at least save lives.

But the stubborn ones (of course we know them) will rather stay back in that same SA and continue throwing insult at him while their brethren in Nigeria clap hands in support and even go to social media to throw more insult.

When the attack gets reignited, these same people who refused to comply with simple instructions to at least save their own lives will still be the first again to start shouting, "we don't have a president".
He should have also send SA Ambassador and all their diplomatic SA staff packing.

And also put all SA citizens living in Nigeria ultimatum to live the country, otherwise their safety is not guaranteed by the federal government or even koko send them parking as well, since government can’t even guarantee the safety of Nigerian in Nigeria.

Plus cut all diplomatic ties with SA until they arrest all those responsible for the killings in SA and extradite to Nigeria for trial.

Using ur logic of supply and demand for unlawful activities

Nigerians get robbed or killed or scammed by Nigerians

So what is Nigerian government doing to curb the demand side of Nigerians wanting to get killed or robbed or scammed.

I hope u realise the stupidity of your argument

There is no demand or supply logic to criminal activities since criminal activities prey on unwilling victims including drug related offences , young kids r hooked onto drugs by coercion , fraud and guile. They feed the need by hooking people to narcotics.

In the supply chain network of international drug networks , the country of origin of drug peddlers should be the ones to worry most , since the effects of the same are largely manifested in those countries.

The bigger question is what will happen when the countries effected by the drug peddlers decide enough is enough and put up draconian measures like in Indonesia.

Then where will the drug peddlers run to ?
The country of their origin.
Go back and re-read my post.

My argument is based on the economy and commerce of the drug trade and the subjects on both sides of that trade, which made up the demand and supply sides.

That is such an Hail Mary in your myopic attempt to link it to people getting shot or killed and equating them as ‘demand’.

You clearly don’t understand economic or the demand and supply equilibrium that determines such commerce. In the drug trade or commerce, both parties on either sides are willing participants and each are looking to exchange something they have in order to get something want....can you say it is the same for your robbed or killed people myopic analogy?

Indonesia have been executing drug peddlers for years now, at that rate you will think drug peddlers will refuse to go there...the reverse is the case, the economy of scale favors these drug dealers in taking the risk and despite Indonesia death penalty laws, we still read on the news almost on a daily bases of drug smugglers getting caught there and it is not going to reduce until they deal with the demand side.

The US is currently going through Opioid crises and they are responding and trying to enact programs and laws that will will deal with the demand side of the problem. If the demand dries up, the supply will collapse under its own weight.

I think we know, who the stupid one is here.

BTW: why do criminals captured and paraded by the police in Nigeria most of the time just confess their crimes to journalists? Even the journalists will be forcing them as if it is their duty and rights to extract those confessions. What happens to keeping your mouth shut or not to say anything to incriminate yourself or that, one is not guilty until proven otherwise in a court of law.

The irony and funny part is, when these criminals are arraigned in court, they will plead ‘not guilty’ Gee! you just confessed to the crime and detailed your involvement a minute ago on national TV.

Dis India people sabi take hard drug sha!

What is the government doing to curb the demand side of the equation?

According to the laws of economic, demand drives the supply and if you don’t do anything on the demand side, if you like take out a million suppliers each day, more suppliers will enter the space and take their place.

This is ditto to the ‘drug war’ in America, they should do something to the demand side of the equation.
