Avedonn:You realize that, this is just much ado about nothing, because the Senate have very limited powers to sanction other Senators. If he gave any committee membership or leadership role in the Senate, they can vote to remove him and maybe suspend him for a few days or weeks. His major problem is from the IG’s prosecution for which he might serve a jail sentence, if he does not push the right buttons now to sweep the case under the carpet. It is only his constituents in his home state, who elected him to the senate that can remove him by recalling him. |
KendrickAyomide:If the USA wanted, they can be number one on the list.... Free visa entry provisions are usually reciprocal; which means if the USA want her citizens to be granted free visa entry or waiver to xyz country, then USA must reciprocate in kind to the citizens of the xyz country and USA is selective in doing that. Recently, the USA removed visa wavers with some European countries, this will also trigger a reciprocate action by those countries to do the same to USA citizens. The government of most countries in the world want to enter into a free visa provision with the USA, but it is the USA that is rejecting those, but the same can't be said about Nigeria. |
tuniski:I get you, but then that is not really a motion to dismiss, rather a motion to strike. |
Can someone please help me understand? A motion to dismiss a case is a per-trial motion that must be addressed before the main trial commences. If the tribunal have accepted APC motion for dismissal and have ruled that, PDP did not submit a counter affidavit, why are they not dealing with that motion before proceeding into the trial proper? They should have first rule in favor of APC and dismiss the case or rule against APC and continue with the case. You can't have a per-trial motion pending, and what to move to hear witness on the case, unless the witnesses are to support the motion for dismissal and if that is the case, since PDP did not file a counter affidavit, they can not present witnesses. |
GoTV:You are a ‘born again Christian’ but want women to be treated the same way an Islamic State treat their own women. And you also don’t want women, including your mom to have the same rights that you take for granted as a man. Which is directly against your professed ‘christian’ faith, which states that, we are all equal before God. And you also know that, the rape allegations are false, because I guess you were there and a first hand witness of what happened and didn’t happened? If you are a Christian as you alleged, don’t bear false witness is what the Bible commands; don’t testify to the things you do not know. You were not there and don’t have a clue just like myself if the accusations are true or false. The young lady have the right to make her allegations, she say they are her personal experience and encounter and the Pastor countered and said, they are not true...none of us were there and this is not the first time some has accused this same Pastor of something like this and since this lady came, others have come to also share there illicit dealings with the Pastor. We all know that God forgives, He also redeems and He empowers; but His chosen Ministers are men and do make mistake, David a man after God’s own heart committed adultery and murder, when he came around, own up he was forgiven. We are all living by His Grace and our righteousness is of Him. |
KubwaBoy:Except that, the Pastor stated that, He never even had sex with her...so, how is your ‘consenting sex’ theory looking like? If it is proven that, the Pastor actually had sex with her, then he is lying and she is believable and it must be rape. |
Petersamuel8:Why do you think, sending them parking from the church is an indication of the Pastor’s innocence? Sexual abusers also try to silence their victim and are known to also persecute them. Am sitting on the fence on this, but so far many other ladies are coming out of their silence to speak up and their voice should not be silence...The Pastor should either response directly to the accusations or keep silence, but He or his followers cannot engage in character assassination against these ladies. For his followers and the rest of us, we were not there and don’t have first hand knowledge of what might or might not have occurred; only the Pastor and these ladies know. |
NobleAngell:You can’t prove a negative i.e. if he is innocent as you have stated, there is no way to prove it All the Pastor can do is to deny the allegations and state that, they never happened...but, people will still believe what they want to believe....but, asking him to prove what didn’t happen (ie if that is the case), it is impossible to do. |
Scot1255:When did he/she became a spiritual being? We know that, flesh begat flesh and our parents can not begat a spiritual being; at best they begat a physical being, flesh and blood like themselves. That open the possibility that, from the Bible’s perspective, we must have been begotten spiritually by God at creation, when He breath into Adam our first father. If that is the case, it means that we have existed albeit spiritually before we became flesh and born through our parents. If the above is true and that, we are spirit beings who predate our earthly bodies and will outlive their expiration; isn’t also true to say that; since we do not have a recollection of our consciousness when we were without flesh and body (ie before birth), we will also loss all consciousness/awareness that, we currently have, when the flesh and blood expires and is no more? |
seunmohmoh:Having the highest number of nuclear war heads does not equate to the deadliest. You don't need that many war heads to do maximum damage, you only need a few...maybe 20 is enough to sink the world industrialized places on earth and take us all back to pre-historic age. What counts is the means of delivery and quickness in delivery and because of that, US is the deadliest. Their war ship are currently stationed in strategic positions all over the war and they can easily deliver nuclear war heads faster and able to response faster. |
Anyone in the know? Can someone afford to keep their departed loved ones in the mortuary for up to a year, if they can’t afford to bury them? My guess is that, mortuary is not free and the fees piles up. |
bro4u:You clearly don’t understand US debt. Unlike Africa countries, US don’t go and borrow money, all US debts are paper debts. US simply create treasury notes, then go to the market and sell the notes. Note holders get paid interest and when they are tired of holding the notes, they go into the same market and sell them to another individual and the price of the note at each varies depending on the strength of US economy and other external factors. Africa countries borrow money with stringent requirements and conditions and also consequences if they don’t pay back as agreed. |
@OP, So you know, despite the fact that hiv+ does not have a cure yet, there are remarkable advancement in the science such that, there are now medications that will drastically reduce your viral load to the level undetectable by any hiv test. And at these undetectable viral load level, you can’t pass the virus to anyone and as such can raise a family with an hiv negative lady. Please consult your doctor. https://www.gilead.com/news-and-press/press-room/press-releases/2019/3/gilead-presents-new-data-on-biktarvy-bictegravir-emtricitabine-and-tenofovir-alafenamide-and-tafbased-regimens-for-the-treatment-of-hiv1-in-chil |
Does this guy know the meaning of ‘proactive’? The gridlock have already happened, it is not proactive if your intended objectives is to resolve something that have already occurred. It is only proactive, if you are trying to prevent it from happening! |
obailala:Ghaddafi was linked to the downing of Pan flight AM103 that killed about 190 American citizens. Despite the handing of two people, Washington still believed that Ghaddafi commissioned the PFLP-GC with about $10 million to do the dirty deed. And America never forgets, it does not matter who become President or how many years goes by, Ghaddafi had been penciled down to take the fall, Obama just happens to be the President when the CIA checked off Ghaddafi on their todo list. Same thing is going to happen here, Iran made a big mistake for downing that drone, agree it was pilotless, but they will paid dearly for it. Trump had order strike on the Iran...preparations were in top gears, the fireworks were to start falling on strategic locations in Iran early Friday, but Trump called off the strike, and I believe it was not called off because of lack of zeal...Trump wants an external conflict as US switched into election year 2020 to galvanize support for himself across the US and Iran is foolishly giving him a reason to use them for the experiment. Agreed, Trump have been poking Iran in the eyes for a long time, trying to anger them or force them to react and do something stupid he can hold against them to justify the fireworks he had been dreaming of raining down on them. But, Iran should have be wiser, when your neighbor’s wife suddenly start dancing nude in front of you, that is not the time to start clapping or encouraging her, it is time to run for your life, this way you can survive to fight another day. |
muykem:I didn’t click on the external link, only saw what was posted here and there is no inauguration time there, only that the first election took place at 7am and the other at 11am. No worries, my comprehension abilities are intact....though I question yours, because it was not the PDP, but the APC ‘lawbreakers’ that went there by 6am, you can read it again. |
Anyone have more insight into this? Were the 18 outside locked or came late? If they were inside, it is obvious that they would have defeated the first election. 2-3rd is needed in the Senate to form a quorum, so, if 31 is the the total member count; and they are using the same quorum permutations ( most Nigeria legislative body do); then both elections are null and void....it’s an exercise in futility. |
If you look at percentages of Nigerian non immigrant visitors in 2015, 2016, 2017, who refuse to return back to Nigeria after their visitation; you will find that the number keep increasing, hence the corresponding increase in denials. When prior non immigrant visitors refuse to honor their obligations and return back to Nigeria, the embassy not only tracks it and take notice; they also use those feedbacks to re-evaluate their visa process...e.g. the story or ‘packaging’ trend that led to a visa issuance in 2017 but have high non-return rate, will make the embassy to start questioning the intentions of those with the same ‘packaging’ who they are interviewing in 2018. |
post=79483315:Do you care to post a link or cite a source for your statistics? This lie has been repeated often in the US, with not source...and the figures varies too, depending on the individual telling the lies...but, this is the first time that, am hearing that it is 80%, whereas there is no National study or statistics for this. From the stat level, taking a study from Texas, which share border with Mexico and have great influx of illegal immigrates into it....they conclude that undocumented immigrants aka conviction rate for homicides is 5.9%, documented immigrant 3.8% and native-born America eat teh cake at 90%.. Eberejesus111:I feel you, however the above highlighted in your comment caught my attention. If you look through the Bible, the truth is God only need one intercessor to bring about a revival of a whole sinful nation. Remember, that God only needed Elijah to bring about change, just one individual praying.....then He needed just Elisha, a single individual as well. Before then, He called just Moses, one individual and it was only when Moses complained of his inabilities that God said, he can take Moses along. Some might say, it was because the Israelities prayered unto God...That is not true, they were in captivity in Egypt under a wicked Pharaoh, no God's Tempe, no worship...God said "I have seen their afflictions and heard their cries by reason of their taskmasters...." therefore Am sending God. And I don't think God does half job, so I really don't buy the half consolations that..."it would have been worst"...If God is the deliverer, HE GOES ALL THE WAY, He doesn't do His work in half measures. My conclusion is, despite the big names, MOG, Bishops, etc littered across Nigeria, God have not found His man and the captivity, pains, cries by reason of our taskmasters; will continue, until His call is heard --- And I sought for a man (just one man) among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none..Eze 22:30. He is not looking for two people or a crowd, His strength is not in the number of prayer warriors or the loudness of their prayers. |
Eberejesus111:Bros, giving the high density of churches and Christian professing individuals, plus ardent prayer warriors spread across Nigeria, can you tell us the cause of the continual Mayhem and lost of life in Nigeria? Christ is taught in Nigerian schools, but the homicide rate is still astronomical in comparison to similarly populated countries abroad with little or no knowledge of the teachings of Christ. I am not in any way bashing Christianity and for the records, am one.....God would had spared even sodom and Gomorrah on the account of a single prayer warrior called Abraham....but Nigerian is littered with thousands of MOG, deacons, GOs, Bishops, prayer warriors some even doing 40 - 60 days dry fasting and yet her people are been slaughtered everyday. Which means, there is something fundamentally wrong with Christianity as been practiced or professed in Nigeria. We should first look inward to remove the plank in our own very eyes, before attempting to help others, not to talk of criticizing them. |
simonjo:I agree completely by this assessment. But you should understand that, despite the fact that in the US these new technologies e.g. 5G and future next generation technologies are not accessible by the general public; it does not equate to ‘US lagging behind’. These technologies were incubated, tested and formulated by major US players and in most part in the US before they are released to be deployed in other part of the world. AT&T one of the major Telecommunication companies in the US is the major player in 3gpp and if you look up 3gpp membership roster, you will be surprised at the number of US players. 3gpp is the international body that come up with the design and formulation of all next generation telecommunication technologies including 5G and many US companies involved in defunding what the 5G standards are today, have tested 5G in the US before they were released. We have many 5G deployments and tests going on today in the US, which is driving IoT, VR, AR, AI, etc, it is just that most of these innovations on 5G are not open to the general public. Unlike some part of US and major Asia countries; the US government does not fund mobile rollouts; infact the telecom companies have to purchase frequencies from the government and these are profit making companies in a capitalist countries. AT&T shareholders does care about the next fastest technologies out there, they want to see their share prices and investments go up, as a result it is the consumers in the US that drive these deployments. If consumption grows to the level where users are willing on average to pay higher prices for 5G, the technology will be rapidly made available to them in the US. Cell coverage have started showing up on many subway stations. When the subway was built in the 1900s there was no anticipation for our current mobile reality and these subways are very deep in the ground. |
michlins:You are disingenuous with your comment and comparison. I don’t know the part of USA that you are referring to, can you be more specific on the names of those US cities, communities or county? Yes, because of greater population density in the US in metro areas compare to Nigeria, their are more technologies deployed to offload the macro network e.g. femtocell, WI-FI, metrocell, etc; but to say Nigeria situation is better is not true, unless you are comparing isolated remote uninhabitable areas in the USA....I also hope, when you do your comparison, you also use similar areas in Nigeria, e.g. isolated remote uninhabitable areas in Nigeria as well. |
This looks staged for the views and like.... It is not by coincidence that, the camera was running immediately the things start falling off the bag...it is not a CCTV camera and it keep moving to capture the guys face, the lady’s and the items. The messaging mixed the intended objective...having that many condom would suggest, she is a hustling babe looking for guys, but hustling babes don’t carry those gadgets around as a contrary impression. |
PerfectlyPerfect:Thanks for the link. Though the author also qualified his statement about ‘compatibility with android’ with skepticism and the fact that, it has not been confirmed and that it could be a bluff by Huawei. For the OS to truly be compatible with android, they must work with android and in the least maintain some technological license with Google. And if Google as it is now is suspending their licenses and working relationships with Huawei briefly due to the US sanctions, any statement by Huawei that this is an actual fallback OS is just a bluff. |
PerfectlyPerfect:Do you have a link where it was stated that, the new OS will run all android app? It is like saying that, one can run windows apps on a Mac OS....and if they built native support for android apps, it will effectively cut down on the performance of the new OS as it will be too bunks with too many kernels. Best option is to attract developers to develop for their new platform, which will be very tricky, because it will require additional investment from current app owners. |
azpekuliar:Cases like this are very difficult to win without the cooperation of the victim. Agreed, it is a crime against the State and the State owe the duty to prosecute the case, but she is the only witness to this crime and the State need her on their during the trial and not on the side of the other parties. If she is paid reasonably well, she can spoil the State's case. |
He is wrong though, it should be: ”Senate President of the 8th Nigerian Senate” or “Former Senate President of the Nigerian Senate” |
Zionista:O boy, remove God from dis ball matter. The French also pray to the same God and they must have some fervent Christians among them and God no dey play partial...When He said, if you call on me, I will answer, He was also speaking to the French. This is not like Goliath and David’s case...prayers apart, the best team that execute the best play will win, period!...no magic, no prayer. |
How can you even go back to her, after she abused, assaulted and called you names? Love is a double edged swore, there is no point loving those, who don’t love you back. Beautiful ladies are born every single day and there are 7b of them worldwide against a mere 2b of men, which means, you will definitely find another who will reciprocate your love. O boy! You even thought of committing suicidal? Why are you trying to make her win? Committing suicide will vindicate her and support her position that you are a fool and a loser and she will be justified for breaking up with you. Yes, it will take time to get over her...and time is all you need. If she is what you have described, she will soon be kicked to the curb by the other guy(s). Don’t be a sissy man, no lady respects a sissy man. Move on and thank God for saving you from marrying a wreckage for a wife, celebrate with your friends for the deliverance. Not too many men are as lucky as you are. Typically ladies hide their bad side until after the wedding day and here, she has shown her true color before you guys say ‘I do’...this is every guys ultimate wish, to truly know who they will spend the rest of their lives with before taking the plunge. |
ITbomb:How do one develop that friendship without at least discussing what each of you do for a living? For any serious dating, by second date I should at least know that, am not going to waste a third date on a yahoo boy or girl. My advise to the OP is, he should keep trying or get a transfer out of that village. |
tyup:Clearly they were injured from the accident and rendered immobile or already dead before the fire started. |

Even though I'm a born again Christian, i think Nigeria needs to emulate Saudi Arabia by limiting the rights and opinions of Christian women especially. A driving and social media ban for women in Nigeria is good to start with. Women are becoming more bold and their actions if not curtailed with strict rules will keep bringing down men of repute. Biodun is the victim today and I'm ashamed of how we Christians are dragging his innocent name in the mud.
God bless you.
