Ishilove:Hungerbad, you see how logical Ishilove sounds? Learn from her. I was asking myself too if we have any law against jazz in the Nigerian Constitution. Although, I watched a documentary once on SA anti-voodoo police, I think we can learn from them. |
priceaction:Elvina, you mean. Obuks, Elvina and Gloria, sorry about your loss, may the good Lord comfort you all. Rest in peace to the highly spirited and likable Olorogun. Amen. |
unclezuma:LWKMD I thought you were hanging on for dear life in SA politics. Lolz |
PetroDolla3:Lolz. Charlie, we just dey advise from our own experience. |
God bless you my brother. I hope we can toe the path of Kenya where education is free at the primary school level and in government run secondary schools; also scholarships are available for higher studies. |
Great idea to get 70 billionaires to work on an industrial blueprint for the south east; I pray that it does not go the way of the much touted South East Economic Commission which has become moribound. Anyway, since the group of 70 billionaires are from the private sector and is headed by the intelligent and determined Dr. Paschal Dozie, I believe the group will succed. I advise that they include other billionaires in the group as the need arises, including Igbo billionaires in the diaspora. Let us not be distracted by mockers and jesters from you know where. When detractors know you are likely to succed and they can do nothing about it, they resort to mockery and name calling to discourage you. Lets stay strong and focused. |
darknetcom:Yes, we might have had only two credible choices during the last Presidential election; but its part of the political evolution of the country. The above development should cause the multi-party system to examine the process by which Presidential candidates are selected so that as many as possible number of parties will present credible and capable candidates. |
Newmanluckyman:You are right about Nigerians voting along ethnic, tribal and religious lines. However, what we are suffering now has shown that your tribeman might be in office as President without it bringing you any good fortunes. We should copy Americans who live in a multi-racial and very diverse socio-cultural environment, but will not vote based on those sentiments, rather they will vote based on the perceived competence of the Presidential candidates running for office. Its no wonder then that the American society is a very progressive one. |
BrightReen:I tell you. Hunger and anger has created the awareness among Nigerians that they need to be careful whom they vote in as leaders, as it can have dire economic consequences for them. During the 2015 general elections, we, as Nigerians, made some mistakes. These are: Lack of Presidential debates: watching the recent US Presidential debates, I felt we made a great mistake in allowing PMB to decline the invitations to the debates sent to him. If PMB had attended, it would have given us a glimpse on how he intended to govern the country and it would have put his economic team to task. The blueprint produced by this pre-election team would have served as policy guidelines for PMB, once elected, and he would have hit the ground running from day one in office, rather than taking almost six months to appoint his cabinet members. For me, I have decided that any Presidential candidate who refuses to participate in pre-election debates will not get my vote. I mean what is the candidate hiding? Ineptitude or what? Lack of a National Consensus on issues: Drawing an example from the recent American presidential elections, it was clearly seen that Americans had a consensus on certain issues, like the need to re-claim their country and economy back, the need to bring back moral education in their schools and also the enactment of pro-life legislation and judicial pronoucements among other issues. The Nigerian press, the Politically inclined NGOs' and the intelligensia should have set the tone for the building of such.national consensus. For instance they could have stressed the need for building of more refineries, so that we can become a net exporter of refined oil products, conserve our foreign exchange, stabilise the naira and, ultimately, improve the standard of living of Nigerians. They could ask the electorate to vote for whoever makes this possible . |
donfemo:Lolz It was just the need to warn people to be careful how they handle dead snakes that drove me on; seeing the way those MOU students were cuddling a black mamba gave me goose bumps |
donfemo:That might have been a dead snake. Let me give you another example, in August 2014 in Thailand, a snake whose head had been cut off (completely decapitated) and was lying carelessly on the kitchen table in a snake soup kitchen (trust Asians and snake soup). The decapitated head suddenly sprang to life and sank its fangs into the chef's arm. The chef was dead before he got to the hospital. The Thai Doctors also attributed the decapitated snake head's action to reflex action. You may google it to find out more. See a post below www.mirror.co.uk/news/world-news/chef-cooking-snake-dies-after-4088634 |
donfemo:Yes, by reflex action. Its better to cut and destroy the head completely. There was a story of a Palm Wine Tapper, around Festac Town Lagos, who saw a tasty looking snake, when he was about to climb a tree to tap palm wine in the buffer zone, along 2nd Avenue, that separates Festac Town from the Lagos-Badagry Expressway. The Palm wine tapper killed the snake and put it into his Palm wine tapper's bag, because he felt it could be stolen before he comes down the tree. While up the tree, the reflex action of the dead snake sprang to life and it gave the palm wine tapper a deadly bite on the chest, very close to the heart. The Palm wine tapper died before he arrived at the hospital and the Doctor on duty attributed the quick death to the rapid spread of the snake's venomous poison to the whole body by the pumping action of the heart, which was close to the spot he was bitten. Moral of the story: always cut off and destroy a dead snake's head as it can still deliver fatal bites by reflex action. |
raumdeuter:The problem is that those Afonja men will not allow Miriam to drink water and drop the cup (rest and peace) as each time she or her husband pass by those boys,am sure, they will break into cynical laughter boasting, that they are 'taking care' of their junior sis. Miriam should have reported the wayward sister to their family, maybe they could call her to order. Afonja and gloating ehh, are like five and six. |
PrettyCrystal:This is one of the fall-out of arriving to camp late; you will be handed over-sized, and sometimes, incomplete uniform. |
Blurryface:Lmao !!! You too dey look. I wonder how many you don browse, albino ke. Lol. |
LWKMD !!! I thought Aunty Kemi has retired from beefing people? Its good she's back because sometimes controversy makes the world more interesting. Lol. |
HAH:The butt is the last place a girl should be flogged. The hand is a better place and it should not be with so much force or anger. |
eleko1:I am sure you did a Jackie Chan and somersaulted into the army barracks. Lolz. Youths are usually very emotional, and confrontational, about issues they have interest in, but this nature wanes as they grow more matured. That is why I find it very appalling that any little protest by students is usually put down through live bullets by the police and other authorities, even when rubber bullets and tear gas would have equally done a better job. Smh. |
waternogetenemy:IVM does not need to beg Lagos, but should deploy sound marketing strategies to display the quality and strength of their products, because a product might be of high quality, but if people are ignorant about it, it might not sell in the market. IVM can give franchise to companies with the financial muscle to deploy world class marketing strategies to push the sales of its products, while they can concentrate on the production aspect of the business. |
SirJeffry:Give him the benefit of doubt. It could have been a case of mistaken identity, random racial hatred, pure professional or personal jealousy you never can tell. |
Sijo01:Lolz. Tell the truth, dont you receive such stares? Men are moved by what they see, it the way they were created. |
okasebe:Oshoala maybe the most recognised player in the squad, but that does not mean she has the leadership skills of a captain. Oshoala is still very young and needs to grow and mature as a player before foisting such responsibilty on her; however, her own time will come. What matters now is to get a player, as captain, who can rally the team to victory. |
Daboomb:You are quite right. We , as men, just have to learn when to let go of out,of control marriages for the safety of our lives. Trying to hold a woman against her wish could cause her to collude with her lover to threaten our lives, as in this case where John alledged that the lover wanted to hit him with a hammer !!! I welcome the formation of support groups for men in troubled marriages, because women may look frail physically, but their psychic or mental abilities are quite strong that you could find a small slender woman wrapping a strong macho man around her little fingers and subjecting him to so much physical and psychological torture. I knew a man once, who will visit us at our Ikeja office, hang around with us, at about 5:30pm when we close, he will head back to his office at Ikoyi and remain there until 10pm before heading home because if he dares goes home earlier, his quarrelsome wife will be waiting for a fight. When he gets home late, she might be asleep and he will dash straight into his room and lock the door. I was unmarried then, but I remember asking myself why that man will remain in such a bad relationship. |
RIP to the dead. People who are hypertensive should avoid rigourous sports as this can prove fatal if the blood pressure shoots up very high. Doctors can recommend the suitable forms of sports for the above people. |
Onegai:Eve, the schemer, lol. |
Viking007:I tell you. If you fall into the hands of a karasheka, you are as good as finished. Imagine losing your plum job and being arraigned for attempted murder. Anyway, if the marriage had broken down, the guy should have accepted that fact, sought for a divorce and moved on with his life, who knows if fate might bring a more loving and faithful lady his way. |
Ponponkon:I passed through there last week. I was pleasantly surprised at the new development. |
This is very shocking.
All in a bid to hustle for livelihood.
RIP to the dead. |
sinaj:No blame the guy ohh, e fit be accidental discharge that occured through withdrawal method. Seriously, both parties might have been unaware of the above incident until it was too late. |
This na wetin yoloobas will call: 'Obuko' ( (meaning: 'he-goat') ado omo ado iya !!! The randy pastor wanted to have a taste of both worlds, imagine that !!! |
