The Vatican doctrinal office has said that priests and other Catholic ministers will not be allowed to bless same-sex marriages, Reuters reports.

The Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith (CDF), in a statement on Monday warned that it is not licit to bless same-sex marriage as marriages between men and women was a sacrament that cannot be extended to same sex couples.

“For this reason, it is not licit to impart a blessing on relationships, or partnerships, even stable, that involve sexual activity outside of marriage (i.e., outside the indissoluble union of a man and a woman open in itself to the transmission of life), as is the case of the unions between persons of the same sex,” it said.

“God does not and cannot bless sin: He blesses sinful man, so that he may recognize that he is part of his plan of love and allow himself to be changed by him,” the statement added.

Approved by Pope Francis, the ruling of the doctrinal office was issued to address questions about whether Catholic clergy can bless same-sex unions. 

The Pope Francis in 2020 sparked controversies after he clamoured for the protection of civil rights of Homosexuals.

“Homosexual people have a right to be in a family, they are children of God and have a right to a family. Nobody should be thrown out or made miserable over it. What we have to create is a civil union law. That way they are legally covered,” Pope Francis said.  

The office stated that its response was not to be a form of unjust discrimination, but a reminder of the truth of the liturgical rite.

It added that such blessings will not be allowed despite being motivated by sincere desire to help homosexual persons grow in the faith.

I am a businessman and the thing is I am in for money in any choice I make. I made around 22 million in savings last year. Though I cut family and girlfriends off my life to achieve that and am in Nigeria.

But seeing the doings of people outside The country, there was an America based lady that spent over 12 million naira on her mother's burial. For her to spend that much I believe she will have 20x of that amount.

At least for an upright thinking fellow, I feel like am making less so am thinking of relocating. Can I make over 22 million yearly in savings in USA, If no how much can I save? Talk from your personal experience pls, Let stop deceiving each other pls, How much did you save annually in USA? Please let be sincere.

Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State has appointed Malam Danladi Sanusi Maiyamba as the Mai Tangale.

The vacant stool was occasioned by the death of Dr. Abdu Buba Mausharu, the 15th Mai Tangale and only Christian monarch in the North-East, last month.

The selection process turned violent with three persons killed and property worth millions of naira destroyed in Billiri Local Government Area of Gombe State as the crisis over the appointment of a new Mai Tangale deepened.

The residents and indigenes several times insisted on the choice of Dr. Musa Idris Maiyamba, a position the State Government isn't very comfortable with, instead preferring a Muslim, as alleged.

To forestall further crisis, the Gombe State Government had declared a curfew and suspended the appointment of a new Mai Tangale until today.

The Tangale are predominantly Christian with a small percentage of Islam and traditional religion as well.

The Gombe State Government was also petitioned in November last year, after the most Senior Judge, Justice Beatrice Iliya was excluded from the Chief Judge Nominees List, for being Christian; an act that drew widespread condemnation.

Just some days back, I was talking about the need for this guy to be extremely careful with the way he's associating with almost everyone in the political space in Yoruba land
