Celebrities › Re: Bella Hadid Is The Most Beautiful Woman In The World - Golden Ratio Of Beauty by madridsta007(m): 12:34pm On Oct 17, 2019 |
Thickmatchcom: Bella Hadid has been named as the most beautiful woman in the world, according to the ‘Golden Ratio of Beauty’.
The 23-year-old was found to be a 94 per cent match to the ratio, a mathematical equation known as Beauty Phi devised by the ancient Greeks.
In second place was Beyoncé was who was a 92.44 per cent match, and taking third place was Amber Heard with 91.85 per cent. Ariana Grande came in 4th place with 91.81% and Taylor Swift round up the top 5 with 91.64%. The overall top 10 most beautiful women according to the Golden Ratio of Beauty Phi included: .Kate Moss (91.05%); Scarlett Johansson (90.91%); Natalie Portman (90.51%); Katy Perry (90.08%); and Cara Delevingne (89.99%).
They calculated the perfect face shape, including the size and position of the lips, nose, chin and jawline with Bella’s features most closely matching the ideal ratio. The top ten list was compiled by a Harley Street clinic surgeon, Dr Julian De Silva, who used digital facial mapping to see how modern celebs matched up.
Bella came out on top with a 94.35 per cent match, although her sister, fellow supermodel Gigi Hadid, 24, failed to make the top ten.
“Bella Hadid was the clear winner when all elements of the face were measured for physical perfection. She had the highest overall reading for her chin which, with a score of 99.7%, is only 0.3% away from being the perfect shape.
Bella also came second behind Scarlett Johansson for the positioning of her eyes. Beyoncé ran her a close second, scoring the highest marks for the shape of her face (99.6%) and getting very high scores for her eyes, brow area and lips,” Dr. De Silva said.

Politics › Re: APC Is Notorious For Lies, Says Ayade by madridsta007(m): 5:40pm On Oct 16, 2019 |
opportunes: Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River State had described the All Progressives Congress, APC as a group of persons notorious for lies. He said that the assertions credited to the APC chairman in the state, John Ochala over his return to school to pursue a Master’s degree in law at UNICAL were as laughable and pathetic, adding that”the party in the state is notorious for lies.”
Yesterday, Ochala had described Governor Ayade as indolent and idle, who had time to return to school which he should have done when he was a senator or as a private person. Ochala said Ayade is bereft of ideas on how to govern the state which he said had been plagued with many problems and infrastructural decays.
Ayade in a statemnt by his chief media adviser, Mr Christain Ita said it is “funny that a party like APC which prides itself as a major opposition cannot engage the Governor on governance issues but chooses to lie to score cheap political points. If they didn’t see anything wrong with Gov Mallam Nasir El’rufai returning to school in 2017 in far away Netherlands for his PhD, what then is wrong if Gov Ayade returns to school to add to his numerous degrees within Calabar, the state capital?” The statement reminded the APC that Chief Whip of the Senate and member of the APC, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu was an undergraduate student while serving as Abia State Governor.
“The timing of Gov. Ayade’s decision to return to school is unequivocally perfect. Unlike APC members, the Governor, despite all the resources at his disposal didn’t choose any foreign University, he decided to do it locally thereby boosting the reputation of Nigerian Universities at a time tertiary institutions in West Africa are under attack. “For APC to lie to Cross Riverians that no serving Governor in the history of Nigeria has ever returned to school is unfortunate. Maybe, they just don’t have the guts to commend the Govervnor for patronising Nigeria University. “Ignorantly, Ochala also lied that Gov. Ayade didn’t go to school while in the Senate. This is very shocking. Gov. Ayade was elected Senator in 2011 and later that year enrolled in Nigeria Law School, Abuja and was called to Barr in 2012.”

OwenDesired: Can't blacks also be racist toward those whites? At the heart of racism is power; the abuser must have held some form of power of the victim and displays what is known as racism at the abused or victims, in the attempt to reassert that "power". Whites have largely held the position of power over blacks; hence "black being racist towards those whites", is actually illogical. |

For Christ sake Osibanjo has no single work he is doing inside aso rock....what is he still doing there?
He should move over to Abuja town and allow those who has work at hand to see space in discharging their duties.
Mamman Daura has loads of work and files to always attend to.....Which one do Osibanjo has to attend daily?
He can't be there occupying space while workers in aso Villa quarrels for space..
He should move to town and can attend public seminars from there or any work the president assigned to him.
I like been fair and just. Sadly, as silly as this statement is, you have a factual point here. Everyone knows that the "Presidency" is made up of two individuals; Mamman Daura and Abba Kyari. Nigerians never voted for these fellows. They know Nigerians didn’t vote for them. So as they rule, they owe Nigerians nothing. This is the lowest of low that Nigeria has ever sunk to. |

FrLukas: What doesn't work? Were you napping when PDP looted Nigeria into a comatose state in 2014/15 such that the federal government had to borrow money for the first time in Nigeria's history to PAY SALARIES?
I usually don't argue with people like you who think that the best times of Nigeria happened during the 16-year misrule of PDP.
You are posting a pic of looting in APC as if that negated my earlier post that PDP = APC.
In which party was Akpabio in 2014? Which party is he in now?
In which party was Atiku in 2012? Which party did he contest for presidency in 2017 with your support? LOL. At this point, I am at loss at what your argument currently is. Again, you give the obvious impression that you are a "repented" Buharist, struggling to use words and obscured references to assuage your conscience. Believe me, if APC had maintained the level of Nigeria in which they met it- level of development and level of corruption- there would be hardly anyone crying out as Nigerians currently are. Rather, in their sheer wickedness and incompetence they intentionally drove Nigeria into the place of the World's Capital of Poverty, where Nigeria has been since it attained that "feat" in October, 2018. And yes, if they had maintained PDP's level of corruption, no one would bat an eyelid; rather, they have borrowed more than 4-5 times Nigeria has ever borrowed if you combine PDP +Military regime with NOTHING to show for it. That means, quite simply, it has gone into private pockets, the Gandollars, Mainas and Abba Kyaris. Of course you know this. But you need to try to quieten your Buharist conscience, so I expect you to keep typing. |

FrLukas: PDP is yet to master the art of political opposition. Not really. Prior to 2015, the APC would release a similar statement like this and have hoardes of Nigerians on it attacking GEJ and the PDP. In unity. There is so much that can be achieved in unity, including regime-change. What APC did immediately they got into power was to break that sentiment of unity amongst Nigerians; first, using spurious charges for the most, they demonised PDP as a cesspit of corruption. Thus, it became almost like feasting with a leprous man for anyone to associate himself with PDP. Secondly, they used the old colonialist tool of divide and rule to break the sentiment of unity amongst the masses. They played the politics of "Igbo/Biafra" vs others very well, such that Nigerians began to see everything from the tribal perspective, no matter how foolish that assessment was. The Yoruba man or the Hausa man who have become poor and jobless from APC's misrule will thus see abusing Biafra as a more worthwhile cause than chasing Maina who stole millions under the Buhari regime. Some will go ahead to defend the Maina fugutive. That is how powerful psychological manipulation is. Read the 48 laws of Power and you will see APC's political tricks as clear as daylight. |
Science/Technology › Re: Four-metre King Cobra Wrestled From Sewer In Thailand by madridsta007(m): 1:08pm On Oct 15, 2019 |
Helpfromabove1: A feisty four-metre (13-foot) king cobra was pulled from a sewer in southern Thailand in an hour-long operation, a rescue foundation said Tuesday, describing the reptile as one of the largest they had ever captured.
Footage of the daring capture showed a man chasing the cobra — the world’s longest venomous snake — into a dark and cramped drainage pipe.
The cobra splashed around in water and tried to slither back into the pipe, but was pulled out by the tail after multiple attempts.
A security guard on the housing estate where it was found first alerted the rescue group on Sunday Seven rescue workers, including me, went there,” said Kritkamon Kanghae, 26, adding that the estate was built on a plot that was once jungle.
Kritkamon said the snake was more than four metres long, weighed 15 kilos (33 pounds), and was the third-largest they had found. It was later released into the wild.
Thailand is teeming with reptiles, and several species of cobra are native to the southeast Asian country.
References to the deadly snake fill folklore.
The main international airport was built on an area that used to be called “Cobra’s Swamp”.
Snakes have increasingly become a headache for residents in the Thai capital, where the fire department is sent out to respond to calls from alarmed residents
Authorities are reluctant to get rid of the reptiles because they help to control a rat population that could otherwise threaten crops and food stocks.
King cobras, however, mainly feed on other snakes — particularly the rat snake.

"Thailand is teeming with reptiles, and several species of cobra are native to the southeast Asian country." - teeming with reptiles, yet you caught and RELEASED a huge poisonous cobra back into where it can procreate more snakes?? Authorities are reluctant to get rid of the reptiles because they help to control a rat population that could otherwise threaten crops and food stocks. "King cobras, however, mainly feed on other snakes — particularly the rat snake." - Essentially, king cobras are useless- as they feed on other snakes, especially the snake that eats rats. kamtrix: Happy Sunday guys. I want to know, for a graduate, is a 2.2 a bad result? Does it hinder one from certain opportunities and does it make employers not Like you?
Please help As much as possible, avoid a 2.2. It would, largely, make your post-graduation life much difficult. If we categorise opportunities as a "100%", those with 1st Class can attempt all the entire 100%; those with 2.1 can take 75% out of the 100%; those with a 2.2 have 20% out of it and the residual 5% are opportunities for others. So a 2.2 will limit opportunities. However, it does not make a successful life impossible; it just means, you need to work extra, extra hard. Hence avoid a 2.2. |

Myhoneypie: Herdsmen in Oyo have rejected the proposed anti-grazing bill in the state House of Assembly. The herders pleaded with the people of the state not to allow the bill sail through, adding that it was a ploy to punish them.
The herders spoke through the national chairman of Gan Allah Fulani Development Association of Nigeria, Alhaji Sale Bayari.
Bayari who delivered an 18-page position paper delivered during the session kicked against the bill and its sponsors. He was speaking at the public presentation of views and observation on the Grazing Regulations Bill 2019 held in the state capital, Ibadan.
“It is impossible in our country for any peasant small scale herdsman or rancher to go into ranching,” he said.
According to him, the sponsors of the bill did not probe into the detailed history of the herdsmen and his cattle rearing culture, tradition and hereditary attachment to his means of livelihood, rather than the ‘business’ angle to it.
He further said the bill failed to take into consideration small scale herdsmen, unlike the commercial livestock farmers. He asked rhetorically how a herdsman owning 50 cows or less could afford to lease a plot of ranch to keep and graze his livestock and buy feed for the animals.
His words: “From our calculations, one cow will eat grass, drink water, drugs and other maintenance costs to the tune of N1, 500 a day.” “We shall continue to be law-abiding citizens of this state and here undertake to ensure that we fish out all the bad elements among us that are distorting the peace and tranquility of Oyo state,” he promised.
Meanwhile, leader of the Yoruba people, Professor Banji Akintoye, on Tuesday, October 8, called on the southwest people to stand up and defend their land.
Akintoye made the comment when he led a delegation to the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Saliu Adetunji, saying his mission as a leader of the race is to ensure that the Yoruba takes back its pride of place.

Investigative journalism? Not a chance. Humans usually lack the capacity of thinking through medium-term and long-term implications of social media-inspired decision-making. Her career in that area is over. It would be stupid to put her in the field again and the BBC are not that stupid. What was she thinking? That her revelations would impact Nigeria positively in the long-term? Or medium-term? That is funny. Let us be realistic. After the storm that would last for a couple of weeks, the sex-for-grades occurence will come back to normal. That was the same with the video of Gandollars packing wads of dollars in his Babariga. Same with the revelations on codiene, it is still consumed as drugs in the North. This is Nigeria. Nigerians move on easily and there are no institutional changes to effect a medium-term impact let alone long-term. |
