Nothing will happen to her because she hasnt upset anyone with power, the lecturer is a nobody. but she was very naive, the guy in Ghana who got wiped out touched a lot of high level connected govt officials.
Investigative journalists do not reveal their identity. Once there is a small risk to life, no matter how small, you stay anonymous.
It is my hope that nothing happens to her. However, that small risk to life is not something that any serious organisation like the BBC ignores. It was only decades after the Nigerian-Biafran genocide that it was revealed that Fredrick Forsyth who was a close friend to Ojukwu and a journalist purportedly supporting the Biafran cause, was actually a BBC investigative journalist. That is how its done. Stay anonymous till every small risk is neutralised. She went as far as revealing that her Mother lives in Port Harcourt. I mean, who does that? Even Facebook commentators who critique up and down hide their family identity. That is foolish from her. If she wants an Emmy Award or a Pultizer, she can still get one without the exposure.

Meanwhile, she can kiss her career as an investigative journalist goodbye.

Controversial journalist, Kemi Olunloyo has stated that Kiki Mordi, the reporter behind the sex for grades documentary, is full of arrogance.

According to Kemi Olunloyo who tweeted in reaction to news of death threats on Kiki Mordi, the identity of the reporter should have been protected.

Advising her to leave the country to save her life, Kemi Olunloyo shared on Twitter:

https://mobile.twitter.com/HNNAfrica/status/1181702960725860353

https://wotzup.ng/kiki-mordi-sex-for-grades-reporter-is-arrogant-kemi-olunloyo/
For once, I agree with Kemi.

However, I am very certain that the BBC must have TOLD Kiki the dangerous consequences to her investigation. The BBC are no minions when it comes to investigative journalism. Come on, these guys are spys who work with the MI5 and CIA during the Cold War and now.

However, I am very certain as well that Kiki must have waived her right to the anonymity. Perhaps for the clout; perhaps to trend; humans are known to be emotional about decision-making instead of thinking through logically. She is open on Twitter, even sharing the message from her Mum and her Mum's location as well. Who makes such stupid decision if not one who is driven by the opportunity to be popular? Extremely stupid. Investigative journalists NEVER reveal themselves or their sources. Never ever.

There would be consequences, for sure. It is up to Kiki to protect herself. All the best to her.

It is preconceived because your description of Nigeria as a "dump" is what informed your response to my comment- a frankly, pathetic response.
Again, you refer to something from Nigeria, as "stench"; clearly, your response, preconceived I must state, comes from a very troubled place. And it is not in my place to help you with that. Meet a counsellor or get something anti-depressants.

Iwobi does not seem to be having any regret in terms of his national team career; he plays, he is the poster boy and has a couple of endorsements with multinationals. That doesnt sound like "regret".

Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori says he made the decision to commit his international future to England because it’s difficult to say no to the Three Lions when they come calling.

Despite representing Canada and later England at different youth level , the 21 year old was eligible for Nigeria and was even contacted by the coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Gernot Rohr over the possibility of switching allegiance to Nigeria and in his response according to Rohr he asked for more time.

Tomori was thorn between playing for Nigeria, Canada or England but decided on England after he was called up by coach Gareth Southgate for their upcoming Euro 2020 qualifiers against Czech Republic and Bulgaria respectively.

Explaining his decision to accept the call up, Tomori said he was disappointed not to have been called up by any of the country during the last international break and this time around only England gave him a call up.

He said he spoke with his family and they all agreed on his choice of representing England insisting that he did consider playing for Nigeria where his father hails from.

‘The last international break I didn’t get a call-up from anyone. This international break, I was waiting for a call up and England called me up”, Tomori said.

‘It wasn’t England all the way. I had certain people and certain things that I had to consider.

‘I spoke to my family and people that I care about it and that’s the decision I came to.

‘When England came calling, it was difficult to say no.’

Let's leave semantics and quantify what "thriving is". I think many people enjoy regurgitating slogans such that we forget that there are no real numbers or qualitative qualifiers that support these slogans. What is "thriving"? Is it having 13.2 million out of school children- the highest in the world according to UNICEF? Or that 59 years after the so-called independence, you are yet to produce more than 5,000 megawatts of electricity for a nearly 200 million Nigerians? What is thriving?

Desperate to get married and start up a family early, Sylvia Ukaatu got entangled with blood oath with her lover but unfortunately that one ignorant move backfired and she’s full of regrets.

In a chat with pearlsnews.com, the actress recalled how the journey of her heartbreaks started at 18.

“It all started when I was 18 year old. I fell in love, deeply in love. I was so carried away at that tender age. I was lured into a blood oath with my then lover. I never knew the repercussions behind such move. I was only young, naïve and in love.
We played along. I was happy. I was planning to settle down.

Until, love became sour. I tried to walk away, I begged to be freed but the guy refused, so I kept to myself and stared living life to the fullest. Even when he traveled out of the country, I encountered so many failed relationships without knowing what was behind it. Suitors were coming but on the day of the introduction, they would cancel. I waited for many years for him to come back. But it never happened.

I desperately needed to start a family, but that wasn’t forthcoming. I tried so many relationships, but they all failed,” she said amidst uncontrollable tears.

She continued: “The guy later came back last year and we spoke at length. I told him we should break the oath if he is no longer interested in getting married to me but he ignored me.
Then, few months ago, my brother called me to search for his (My fiancé) name on Facebook that the said guy just got married. I quickly rushed to Facebook and checked.

I was shocked, but I laughed over it. But I can still feel the pains. Right deep inside my heart. I want to warn our young ones out there. Love is not enough for blood oath. He deceived and used me.

Politics › Re: Sowore: Court's Order For Activist's Release No Longer Has Life - DSS by madridsta007(m):
xristos:
- The Department of State Service (DSS) has said that the Federal High Court's order for the release of Omoleye Sowore is no longer valid considering the current arraignment
- The DSS also denied claims that it denied Sowore and his co-defendant access to their lawyers
- However, A. Olumide, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), who is holding brief for Femi Falana, Sowore's counsel, said that the defendant was denied access to his lawyer.

The Department of State Service (DSS) has denied claims that the publisher of Sahara Reporters, Omoyele Sowore, and his co-defendant was not allowed access to their lawyers.
The DSS denial followed an allegation by A. Olumide, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) who is holding brief for Femi Falana, Sowore's counsel, that the defendants were not allowed access to their lawyers prior to their arraignment on Monday, September 30.

The counsel for the DSS, Hassan Liman, said, contrary to Olumide's claim, the charge sheet was made available to the defendants on September 20, which is 10 days ago.
- DSS Liman also said that it will be a disservice to the Administration of Criminal Justice Act (ACJA) to say that the prosecution failed to allow the defendants access to their lawyers prior to arraignment. He also noted that the judgement of the court which the defence counsel had referred to in his allegation was made by Justice Taiwo Taiwo, pending arraignment.
Liman said: "With respect to the defendant's arraignment, this order no longer has any life." He also accused the defence and their counsel of playing to the gallery and using the press against the DSS.

Furious over Liman's submission, Olumide said his colleague gave wrong information to the court.
He also said there was no interaction between the defendants and their counsel prior to the arraignment. He added that orders of the court must be obeyed before anyone can come to the same court for other benefits.

Olumide said that it was only late Sunday, September 29, that the defence team, through the pages of newspapers, found out that Sowore has allegedly been served papers for arraignment. "It was also on the pages of newspapers that my learned colleague, Falana, got to know that his client has been 'served'. "They are the ones running to the media and playing to the gallery, my lord," a seemingly angry Olumide told the court.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that the DSS on Friday, September 27, stopped Sowore's lawyers from accessing its Abuja office. The counsels were at the office to present documents showing that he met the bail conditions for the treason and money laundering charges that were levelled against him.

Dear Sowore,

Sadly, you would remain where you are. For a long, long time— unless Buhari has a change of heart. Given the evidence, this is rather slim.

It is simple. Nigeria rests on a tripod. Igbo, Hausa and Yoruba. One can easily rule if he gets the support of at least two of the main tribal groups.

Jonathan got the support of the Igbos and Yorubas when Ya Ardua died. It was relatively easy to get into power despite the shenanigans of the Hausa/Fulani political elites.
Jonathan had the support of only the Igbos/Old Eastern Nigeria in 2015. The majority of his support. Of course he lost.

Today, the Yoruba political elites are the ones propping up the Fulanis government of Beau Harry. Of course we all know this. Once they pull that support off, you will get your release.

Unfortunately the support of the Yoruba political elites are still strong, so you are unlikely to get your release. The support of your Yoruba brothers and kinsmen is what has kept you in Jail. Don’t blame the Hausa/Fulani man for this. Once your Yoruba kinsmen— the political elites of Tinubu and his goons— make strong statements supporting you, you will be out in less than a week.

I’m sure you know this anyway. You are smart. However, it is important I write this so your supporters here stop deluding themselves.

Cheers.

Updatebaze:
Anthony Joshua has said facing Tyson Fury at Wembley Stadium in a “best of Britain” match-up would be his dream fight.

Joshua first aims to regain his IBF, WBA and WBO heavyweight titles from Andy Ruiz Jr, in a December 7 rematch in Saudi Arabia.

But asked what his ideal fight would be, he told Sky Sports: “I always change it, but right now, I’d say Fury at Wembley. The best of Britain. It is a massive fight.”

Fury is hoping to rematch WBC champion Wilder in February, having survived a nasty cut to stay unbeaten against Otto Wallin earlier this month. Wilder and Fury drew a fight last December.

Sky sports Asked if he would eventually fight Fury and Wilder, Joshua said: “Yes, 100 per cent. That’s like asking if a certain football team will play another football team. Of course.

“We’re in the same division, in the same era. We have to fight each other.

“We’re all big draws in the heavyweight division so it would be massive.

“I’d love to fight Wilder, I’d love to fight Fury. I’m fighting Ruiz Jr next. The list goes on – there’s so many out there that I’d love to compete with.”
