SS, SE, NW all want Senate Presidency...only ONE person will get it. Sometimes I wonder why people want to be leaders in a community of people with so many interests. If Akpabio wins, SE and NW might be working as antagonists. What I do not understand is... Other than taking over the Presidency if election is nullified, do Senate Presidents get special salaries or contracts...I would like to know. It is just additional headache dealing with vultures, parasites and hawks. Good luck and all the best. Ofunaofu: |
Again, Buhari administration will be known as one of the greatest...when Nigeria turned into greatness. If you don't believe... go to court dre11: |
Another success under Buhari...yet we hear he is anti Igbo after Niger Bridge 2...Be grateful people
https://von.gov.ng/anambra-state-gets-gas-processing-plant/
|
News we don't report or get in Nigeria...we think our problem is the greatest of all. I've been posting on my status all the shootings in my area alone. Even one of my students was shot in the leg. Funeral was shot and one person killed... so many are still unreported mind you lhordspy: |
They asked Dangote about this and even BUA Group...they said they have tried to cut the prices only for the middle men to continue selling it at high prices and keeping the profits so before you blame the conpany... know that an average Nigerian is a corrupt, greedy thief. That means...if you pick 10, you will get 5 or more at least that fit the narrative. thisisit: |
CNN — A driver plowed into a group outside a shelter that had been housing migrants in a Texas border town on Sunday, leaving seven people dead and several others injured, authorities say. Authorities in Brownsville, Texas say they got a call 8:30 am CT about a Land Rover that hit multiple people who were waiting at a bus stop across the street from the Ozanam Center, a non-profit homeless shelter that has been helping house migrants. The crash left seven dead and between four to six others injured, Martin Sandoval, a Brownsville police spokesperson, told CNN. Sandoval added that police believe those killed included migrants. It’s unclear whether the crash was intentional. CNN interviewed migrants staying at the center in December. At the time, the center’s director told CNN that migrants from all over the world were beginning to stay at the shelter and they were seeing an uptick in stays. The shelter is equipped to house and feed 200 people, according to its website. Witnesses at the scene detained the driver until officers arrived, Sandoval said during a Sunday news conference. He said the driver of the vehicle received medical care and has been arrested on a reckless driving charge. “More than likely” there will be other charges added, Sandoval said. Police have not released the name of the driver, but say it was a Hispanic man, Sandoval told CNN. Brownsville police are investigating with the help of Border Patrol, he added. Sandoval said authorities are still investigating whether the crash was intentional or accidental. He said witnesses described seeing the car “lose control.” The shelter has been housing immigrants while they wait for permanent housing, he said. Brownsville, Texas is located on the southern tip of Texas, just across the Rio Grande River. The town’s population is nearly 95% Hispanic or Latino, according to the 2022 census. The crash happened just days before a Trump-era immigration restriction dubbed Title 42 is set to expire. Officials have predicted a rise in immigration in coming weeks when the restrictions are lifted Thursday. https://www.cnn.com/2023/05/07/us/brownsville-texas-car-crash-accident/index.html

First I think it's fake. The camera man recorded her and the friend with the guy...was the camera man part of the date too. If it was the friend recording, it would be more believable.. it's amazing the desperation people go in order to go vital. So you record all your dates or you assume he won't pay ahead of time..ridiculousness... how did this make it to front page? ObongBassey: |
It gives you an insight into how a typical Nigerian thinks ...that alone does not make me blame leaders for our misdeeds...the followers sef gan make up a larger part of our problem. greypencils: |

I just pray she will not be depressed or attempt or commit suicide. To feel responsible for the actions of her parents is very serious. They need to get her lots of help, and stay with her and her parents need to keep letting her know it is NOT her fault, else one issue can turn into many issues. fergie001: |

BeeBeeJump is the one I installed for my parents, and its been almost 2 yrs and they never experience no electricity. The electricity charges the battery, and solar does too...so when they leave house in the morning, by evening...it is 100%....they sit, relax and enjoy their golden years watching GoTV Yoruba movies and eating. For elderly, it is important to have light because you will spend more if they fall and get injured. These are some of the calculations we do not make as a people. If 10 people pay you 100 to charge their phone while they sleep...that is N1000 per day and N30,000 per month...the cost to you is about N20k per month for 12 month...do the math...in 2yrs and most of the lithium batteries can last 5yrs...you will have made enough funds to do other businesses...and this is a business where you do almost NOTHING

|
When I read about people that complain...all I hear is more complaints...How do you iron your cloth...get iron and put on gas...and most of the inverters that comes with solar can power small irons...everything else will be turned off. Pumping of water...its not like electricity will never come...pump when you have electricity and have storage inside the house. You want to wait till you have 24-7 electricity...good luck. The fact is an average Nigerian cannot afford the cost of 24-7 uninterrupted power supply. As it is now, most of yall are barely paying what you use and conniving with the marketers to game the electric company by not paying. doctokwus: |
There are Solar Units now you can buy for N250k and pay over 2yrs. You will at least get light, fan and charge your phones and relax. You need to find ways to put control in your hands, and not rely on what others do. Rain can knock off electricity and you will be off for months...on top of no petrol. If you are smart, you can turn your house to a charging station and charge N100/N200 for a full charge, and use that to pay your solar monthly bills. Dailyhappenings: |
The fact that the sentencing guideline came out days ago before the day of sentencing is the biggest story here...UK has leaks in their judicial system. I am actually very surprised to see that, and the purported sentencing matched what was actually handed out to the defendant. Odewaleadesoye: |
We are naturally users...I don't know how you will be making money and still not pay a liveable wage. No free lunch but those working for you should pray and bless you not curse you...and you wonder why the children are messed up. We have crossed to the side of INSANITY. The moment we acknowledge it...the better we can make plans to build more mad houses. DRUGS CAN DO A LOT...MAYBE HE WAS ASKING FOR MONEY TO BUY DRUGS...HE KNEW SHE HAS THE MONEY AND REFUSED TO GIVE HIM. God help us. 🙏 benjackugo: |
We need malls and real shops...time to tear all these shops down. Sell the new shops on credit and build cheaper safe alternatives with ambulance and fire station next to the markets nairalandkachy1: |
The idea that you need 25% of a place to win the Presidency does not make sense even to the opposition... So if 300m Nigerians live outside of FCT and 100k live inside FCT...the will of 25k will supercede the entire 300m...that is not democracy. Reminds me of when blacks were considered a fraction of white voters....it was a matter of time before it got thrown out. You can't write illegality if we agree that it is what the opposition claims and expect the court to uphold that illegality. It is like having your workers sign a slave contract, then claim...well he or she knew the contract so its ok. In States, 25% in 2/3rd of LGAs...no enclaves with special provisions. Case closed. Kingsmeal: |
I have said it before...we have never seen these much commissioning in 8yrs of any administration. Govs are now competing to show what they can do for their people under Buhari. If you see the President commissioning projects belonging to neighboring states, you must do something too na...and the result...great infrastructural development that have been lacking over many decades as population has exploded. All these roundabouts, flyover and rails are needed for a population of our size and growing. Investorozay: |

What Tinubu did is what you would expect from an experienced politician. He is sending a message to all others not to expect refunds for executing projects without Fed Govt consent, but las las, I feel he will still refund the funds to Rivers State if the project is deemed worthy. Besides Rivers get so much allocation, and derivation that they don't really need refunds. TMSMedia: |
There has been no one in the history of Nigeria as vocal or as active as Abike in her current position, but you just come here and say whatever you want. Who did she replace? How active were the people before her? Who should they replace her with --- YOU? maleekberry: |
Our companies are waking up. This is what happens in the West...Different companies supply company products...they will deduct am from taxes though but they will still step up. Glad to see Dangote and MTN. All these transport companies should offer free rides too to the States and these folks can take local buses home from the parks. Transport companies should also offer NYSC free or half off when collecting monies all over Nigeria..they are serving the nation. My submission ebukajay184: |
