if the house can survive few years, buy your own Land and focus on yours. Your brother knows he can renovate with the rent and get higher rent. He doesn't care..If the house will not survive that long, then do the renovation for your parents without thinking of recouping cos you left it to him all along and he might you are trying to take it over...humans can be evil when they sense a threat. A word is enough for the wise JungleJustice01: |
I just had this discussion today...school is not for everyone..Instead of wasting money...he should invest in farming or other business and do certifications to become a master of his craft. Parents need to get over this desperate needs for a degree...even in the US, a billionaire is paying people not to go to college because he considers it a waste. Now I don't think it's a waste but we often enter for a course we don't like and don't want because of cutoff then we keep on...then finish terribly and then realize we can't get a job with 2.2 or 3rd class and then regret the whole thing...why not cut your loss early and move on? I left dentistry ...felt ashamed and later got full scholarship to study what I really enjoy Engineering and graduated with honors. I wanted to be a dentist for the money really..I enjoy the handiwork but the studying I hated and the professor...I withdrew after 2yrs...everyone was shocked. 10+ yrs later...no regret PaNnamdi: |
They should start acting like Philippine...demolish properties that are proceeds of crimes and sell the land. Just confisticating and selling it to other drug barons send a bad message cos truly how many people can buy these properties lol Raskimonojendor: |

Please send the information to our email ... idagbaempowermentfoundation@gmail.com. The Lagos State Chapter is launching this month in preparation for our 1yr anniversary in June. We are currently in talks to work with an orphanage in Ayobo, Lagos as part of our inaugural project in Lagos state. We are open-minded. The team will go to the location, carry out the needed surveillance, provide a report, and we will then act. An orphanage in a Catholic Church should be well-funded by the church. We will reserve our judgment till we do the needful. Sadly, some of the workers in these orphanages can even discourage givers by insisting on what they want and the approach donors must take. Blame Peter Obi Lol...if he had gone quietly, they would have let all of these slide. I know LP and PDP tried to go after APC using these timelines as well, but APC had documents to show they wrote to INEC and so on. They went after APC before the Election. Imagine Otti losing his mandate after all the buhaha...this would be crazy. PDP will then win Abia State again. Truthshscrazy: |
Federal High Court not state high Court. They can appeal. LP will however need INEC to help them by claiming they got the roster 30 days before primary. The same INEC they are suing at the Tribunal...may we not need to beg the same enemies we are vouched to fight till death do us part o lol HIGHESTPOPORI: |
Sure but we do not do handouts. We verify, we have expectation of independence - we believe in teaching people how to fish not give fish. Foodqueen: |
Na village people dey worry you not data and snacks. That you are not thinking of your future and planning when according to you...you are not earning is more than a mystery. I believe one should indulge, but you must work hard, earn hard, to play hard. See Davido...he can continue having more baby mamas...he is also one of the hardest working dude...not minding he is from a billionaire empire. GeneralKoko: |
The same Garri he can mass export and become a job creator...he is making a joke of the whole possibility that exist with it. Make fine Garri and sell with nice Akara by the roadside...add option of Pap or Eko...and Bread. You cant go wrong if you are in a great location. You keep the profit on all of the things you sell including maximizing garri profit by not buying it from the sellers. massmediang: |
WOMEN believe their mothers were fools to accept some norms...so they feel they can do it all alone. They should ask teachers like us...while there might be few students not affected by single parents, majority of children from single parent homes have significant issues...women working hard alone cant look after the kids. They dabble in multiple relationships with men and the children get exposed to their Moms being with multiple men...and so on and so on. UK, US and now Nigeria...this is a very serious issue, and we are no where ready to addressing it. We call the girls from those homes...girls with daddy issues...they end up becoming very needy, depending on men or looking for older men among many others...some get unlucky and become prostitutes if not on drugs. The guys...well with no male figures, some or most just end up in Jail. blacksam01: |
The honest truth...you cant eliminate these things. In the USA, they started to crackdown on websites and it became escort services, and specials if you go to strip clubs. Even massage parlors, they will call them full option, so people will just change the work. The rate has increased, and I will draw my own conclusion...because deportation from Europe skyrocketed. Most of these girls in Europe that engage in prostitutions are really high class prostitutes in Nigeria or so I heard, and they have been able to recruit more and more...while it is shame to let people know you re doing this in Europe, they have been able to make it mainstream in Nigeria...because Nigerians love lavish lifestyles and it does not matter if they are sleeping with wealthy men or foreigners. Someone I know told me he lodged at a high end hotel in Lagos...guess the type where you pay N50k-N100k per night. He said he was ashamed to see all our women with foreigners. Do you blame them...$100/night ...N75,000....in 20 days a month...N1.5m. So sad but the train has sailed. MAYBE JUST MAYBE IF WE START EARLY, WE CAN TRAIN THE NEXT GENERATION...BY SHOWING THEM INFECTIOUS DISEASES, OTHER MEANS TO ACQUIRE SUCCESS AND LONG TERM MENTAL EFFECTS. Gerrard59: |

Seems the Fed Govt is reluctant to put NTA on concession, allowing it to make money and run itself. I get the point...they don't want all media privately owned because it can be dangerous for democracy. On the other hand, they refuse to properly fund it because that would create avenues of corruption. I believe the Govt should privatize NTA, and have a right to pick HALF of its board members, so they can continue to have a hand in it, and still allow the TV Station to operate independently, charge appropriately, pay staff appropriately and upgrade their equipments. They have assets including journalists that can rival any and all TV stations in Nigeria. As a matter of fact, it is so hard to get a job in NTA than it is to get at AriseNews. If you follow the news, you will understand what I mean. They wont hire someone with Animal Husbandry to scream and shout every morning. You need to stand up to the tough veteran journalists that will not take shit. 9jabox: |
Stay in school...its called DEMAND and SUPPLY. Why is a Pencil N100 in Nigeria and $2 in the USA (N1500). If Dangote and BUA was losing money, they wont be selling it at that price. Cost of doing businesses in Nigeria is also higher...do you even know how many trucks they need to meet the demand of Cement in Nigeria? That is how you expand operation as well. We do not question Facebook, Twitter and so on when we pay for adverts. Stop being a HATER and support AFRICANS and AFRICA. taylor88: |
If you are open to doing documentary and serious historical movies, let me know and reach out. We need to make sure we do this, so future generations can learn from this. It could be a story about a small town in kogi....it will require collaboration with - University professor - Research - Visiting the Town - Recruiting and acting Does not have to be a long movie but it must be very educative, informative and accurate. Exactly…imagine a former PDP Peter Obi advising APC that won on what they should have done lol. Oshinbajo is an underdog in politics. Naija is definitely not ready for a Pastor…smooth talk isn’t great governance. LeoDeKing: |

This man should go and rest. Even Jesus was never all about himself, did not fight the govt but focused on what matters ...the soul of humans. These men of God measure everything by what we can achieve here on Earth. If you can't see the heart of a man, you are in no place to judge. hdaveyork: |

No fewer than 16 persons have been reportedly killed in a bloody supremacy clash between two rival cult groups – Klaans and confraternities – over the control of a minibus park in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State. It was gathered that the incident started on Sunday in the Nwaniba Area of the state when the two groups engaged each other over alleged encroachment into the park to collect parking tolls by one group, forcing an angry reaction from the opposing camp. A resident of the community, Nora Iwang, told newsmen in Uyo on Tuesday, that property estimated at several millions of naira have been destroyed in the crisis while thousands have deserted their homes. Nora who said she was returning home that fateful day disclosed that she had to sleep with relations and friends outside the area, following distressed calls from frightful neighbours around Udo Ekpo Nkpo Street. “Thank God, I finally arrived at my house this morning (Tuesday) after my friends called me Monday evening to sleep elsewhere and not to return for fear of being killed by the rampaging armed hoodlums,” Iwang lamented. Another resident, Anofiok Usen said, “My wife called me at about 7:50 pm on Monday, that I should not return home because of ongoing killings around my area in Udo Ekpo Nkpo Street and the adjoining areas of Nwaniba, Ekpri Nsukara, Eniong Offot and Use Offot communities. I had to take refuge at my sister’s place off Abak road till this morning, Tuesday.” “Throughout these last three days, we’ve been staying indoors from 6:00 pm because of the fight and the Police operatives would only mount the guard on major roads, harassing ordinary unarmed civilians without going into the villages to confront the real culprits,” another resident, who identified herself as Emem Duncan, told our Correspondent. Investigation revealed that eight people were slaughtered in Use Offot, and over 10 others were killed in Anua, Ekpri Nsukara and Oniong communities, while several others have been hospitalised in various hospitals with varying degrees of injuries. Meanwhile, the police Public Relations Officer, SP Odiko Macdon, who confirmed the killings, said only four people were killed, adding that “the Commissioner of Police Olatoye Durosinmi, is miffed at the disruption of public order and safety by two rival cult groups at Anua Offot and Use Offot, both at Nwaniba, in Uyo Local Government Area, leading to the loss of lives. “The CP condemned in strong terms the wanton destruction of lives and has vowed to bring perpetrators to book, hence, he has deployed Tactical resources to restore order and fish out the perpetrators. “The CP has, therefore, called on residents of the said communities and Uyo, to go about their lawful businesses without fear of molestation and be assured of their safety because of strategies emplaced. “He has sent a clear warning to perpetrators of these dastardly acts to desist forthwith or face the dire consequences of their actions,” Macdon said in a statement on Tuesday. https://punchng.com/16-killed-in-akwa-ibom-rival-cults-clash/ |

The same country that will be telling us about Human Rights...Human Rights my foot. I remember the Truck protests in Canada...Twitter blocked them, Paypal blocked them and the Govt cracked them until they ended their protests. Next time we have Govt crackdown on stupid protests, we should remind them about their own crackdowns before we act. naptu2: |
