Sango is angry...we just ignore these things nowadays o NwekeUG: |
Do you watch news…its even longer than this in US during a standoff to prevent death. if it’s due to lack of response, if no one calls police on time, they can’t show up by magic. CHIOMAEZEH: |
While I No get time to explain everything…I will try. There is an Importer-Exporter window….those exporting will get dollars and can sell to those that want to import say raw materials. Limits to zero means no limit and cessation of rebate means elimination which was set up under Emefiele to provide subsidy for people to remit dollars because no one wanted to do that at CBN rate. With both rates uniform, everyone can smile…medical and school fees must be processed as usual….I guess cos they are considered emergencies. Rate will be based on previous day typical of stocks so if $1 ends N680, it will start the next day at that rate …weighted average means if you have $1 = N680, N682 and N687…..It will begin next day at (680 + 682 + 687) / 3 = N683. This is meant to uniform the rate daily across the board References1: |
By using funds from his other companies....its not diversification. Do you know how much cements he has sold since Refinery started? You can then ask...if he is making so much money, why borrow to begin with? Borrowing can be made for timely task and repayment can occur over many months and years...you don't want the uncertainty of profits from other ventures to delay implementation or expansion. You can learn a thing or two from Dangote and Rich people. melonsgroup: |
Hmmm let's wait before conspiracy starts Frezhkid10: |
Diaspora will soon start sending in dollars through the banks. Lots of money laundering going on backdoor. Naija will pay Naira into accounts, same will save dollars equivalent in US banks.. buy at Emefiele rate and transact to desperate people for more...lots of scams HonNL: |
I noticed you do not have a fence or metal protection. How do you know the boundaries to your farm? These are all recipes that can lead to massive loss. emmaodet: |
Scammers come in all shapes and sizes....beware 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 no be so... nice suit, young, technocrats, overpromise....plus gullible greedy investors looking for impossible ROI = SCAM Alert/Lose it All. *Happy Sunday* EcoBrick: |
Kwankwaso did not run to win the Presidency...he ran to take back Kano. Case closed ijustdey: |
Buhari could have removed it...but APC had an election to win. It would have been a bad move. The best time to do it is at the Beginning of any administration. - Year 1 - Remove subsidy, deal with the issues - Year 2 - People start seeing the benefits of removal of subsidies...more funds to States, LGAs and more infrastructures. People will still be complaining. - Year 3 - Stabilization and reduction in price of fuel, foods, excess product, more forex and eyes on the prize. - Year 4 - Planning for Election and continuation ---Everyone is excited about the bigger project plans and the way forward. If you wait too long and get to stabilization, you might not be able to usher people into bigger plans and projects before next election. EKONGKING: |
It is important to note that this is my own opinion, and you are free to dispute this. Obasanjo: Obj was a new civilian President. He was saddled with trying to unite the country and recover the country's loots from Abacha years. That was his priority in addition to recruiting capable hands to manage the economy...an area I do not see him as an expert in. Obasanjo was mostly hands-off allowing experts to do their job, and the return to democracy was on his side. Investors came in with high hopes, and countries forgave us our debts. Removing subsidy was not a priority at all. Jonathan: GEJ was an accidental President. Yar'Adua was supposed to rule Nigeria after Obj for 8 years. It is very possible that there was an alliance to ensure power shifted to the North. Everyone including Atiku worked against Obj's 3rd term agenda. Power was meant to be shifted to the North. Yar'Adua died and it became impossible to impose a new leader without a coup, so the accidental President became the President. All throughout GEJ, most of the opposition to his governance were not really about reason or whether positions taken were good or bad governance...it was simply to force him to resign so power could shift to the North. Maybe he should have called a special election, but he did not. He could not remove subsidy because he was barely trying to hold on to power. 2023 Election: Obi wanted subsidy gone, Atiku wanted subsidy gone, Tinubu wanted subsidy gone. If Obi had won, he would have been saddled with trying to reconcile with the North. Protests would be ongoing in the country especially in the North where they have a low trust in Obi that it might be an agenda to make life difficult for them. Atiku would have faced a similar problem with the South. Southern Gov like Makinde and Wike worked against him. They would have called the removal of subsidy a punishment of sort, and trying to unite the country would have prevented subsidy or force him to reverse. That would have delayed subsidy removal. Tinubu: He was clear too that subsidy had to be removed. He released a manifesto, spoke to stakeholders, aware that subsidy removal would help Dangote Refinery unless we continue to pay subsidy to Dangote which would have created a major issue...and most importantly Tinubu had the support of the Northerners and Southerners. Removing subsidy is HARD, but the reason the country is not collapsing is because there is enough trust that this is not targeted or against some over others. Now, everyone is busy discussing solutions, what they should do moving forward, or what they should have done. Labour Unions in the South might be hardliners, but they are dealing with a President from the South. They all have people that can speak to them. The South do not want anyone to destabilize this administration, and the North voted overwhelmingly for it as well. This is the reason Tinubu was able to remove the Subsidy. He is JAGABAN, but this was more than just a matter of mandate. This is purely about Trust...this is what Nigeria needs, and this is why some of us supported him. A President trusted by ALL (mostly ALL) Tosin Ogunsile MSc. Engineering |
By borrowing? Peter Obi no speak on palliatives during Covid and Naira design…he asked for patience. These guys wan scam us now lol ManWater: |
This is how you know the unpatriotic Nigerians. Why is importation the first thing they want to do instead of patronizing local refinery…Dangote while pushing for profits to be used to repair other refineries. I won’t grant importation license as President..and spend forex. These folks only think of themselves…they will start importing lower standard petrol to crash the price, affect Dangote and damage machineries and vehicles. As a govt, even if I do short term license, testing the grade of petrol will be crucial. naptu2: |
I agree evidence would have buried him but you also agreed he didn’t know his rights and admitted all these on camera when he should have demanded a lawyer. They could have at least tried …computer was hacked or some else used my computer or steel clemency and plea..now he do add lying on top. Gone for Masters….went to jail plus deportation SKIBiNSKI: |
SOCIAL MEDIA SENATOR...El Rufai isnt gunning for a position. He wanted to go back to school, and Tinubu told him not to. I see someone like El Rufai and Fashola as Special Advisors to the President not Ministers or SGF at all Islie: |
Lawyer would have at least demanded to see what they have and then advice him not to further incriminate himself. All those lies would not help him because they made him look like a liar on top of whatever he is going through now. Some people are not destined to travel abroad...and this is what happens when they do. Out of all the people talking to underage, na him be the scapegoat...oga oo SKIBiNSKI: |
Before you travel, study…he should have requested a lawyer. he has incriminated himself with all those lies not knowing they have all evidences including warrant to get all info from telecommunication company. Good riddance…better to have all these child molesters in Uk where they can be caught anyways Nsogbu001: |
I agree that having a solar farm to power the vehicles make sense...but a backup is needed which can be gas powered from Dangote Refinery. Lanrelagboi: |
It is possible he came to discuss Ogun State Election....the other one PDP refuses to step down...Money Laundering charges have been filed. Politics...you must get mind to get involved. ryloy: |
N100,000 is the ideal minimum wage. That will be the wage of those without degrees hired to work. That will allow the private sector opportunity to match such wages. Keep in mind.. it is the minimum. BREAKDOWN WILL LOOK LIKE THIS Here's an example list of expenses in Nigeria, assuming a hypothetical minimum wage of 100,000 Naira per month: Accommodation: 20,000 Naira Utilities (electricity, water, gas): 5,000 Naira (No one pays for Water and you do not need more than this for Gas) Transportation (commute, fuel, maintenance): 10,000 Naira (Mass Bus Transportation can be provided or workers should live close to work) Food and groceries: 20,000 Naira Healthcare (insurance, medications): 5,000 Naira Education (tuition, books, stationery): 10,000 Naira* (Not compulsory) Communication (mobile phone, internet): 5,000 Naira Clothing and personal care: 10,000 Naira Savings and investments: 10,000 Naira - Without Education, you save N20,000 Miscellaneous expenses (entertainment, emergencies): 5,000 Naira - You have healthcare... N200k is crazy...Govt needs to pay down debt, and invest in infrastructures. You start this high...all the subsidy savings will go into paying salaries. If Married, double all my estimate and it is more than enough as MINIMUM WAGE...Single (N250k rent) - Married (N500k - even too excessive for the lowest govt employees) but this is assuming all these expenses will rise including RENT. akingangan: |
I am not sure TUC Union Leaders went to school..minimum wage means the pay of Non Academic Staff like cleaners will start at N200k. They are not serious at all... 1. Pay should increase from N30k to N100k 2. After 2yrs...revise based on income from deregulation and taxes or come up with other source of revenues 3. That will allow us to pay the debt and service the rest. 4. Invest in cheaper mass transits and rail networks....free for workers or buy tickets at reduced rates. 5. Continue housing schemes and credit... - If Labour truly focuses on welfare, they can work well with the Govt...what I see here is Ego and unrealistic expectations...how will State Govt fund this and the retirement and pension that will follow. Ridiculous Ofunaofu: |
Reading all these comments, I am not sure people even understand. The path to a successful Tinubu administration lies with 2 major arms...Legislative branch and the Governor. As a former Speaker, Gbaja has clouts with both arms...he can explain and swing the legislative branch and as a former Speaker, he can also listen and get what the Govs want for them. I know yall don't know ...Biden-Harris (both Senators), Obama-Biden (both Senators) and now Tinubu-Shettima (we go see how things will go) peekspot: |

Decentralize Power to the Military and Police CREATE - Forest Guards - Navy -- decentralize (Patrol our waters with technology --- all ships should have tracking devices) - Army -- decentralize (In Bases, but always ready to deploy for emergencies) - Marine -- decentralize (States near waters will have their own personnels) - Airforce -- decentralize (States will keep aircrafts and some airforce personnels) - Maritime Forces - Intelligence - Community/State Forces - State Border Patrols - 24hr Drones We have county Police, State Police, Federal Police, FBI, CIA, Army, Navy, Marine, Airforce and tons of bases here and National Guards. We need a lot lot more in Nigeria. Relocate, change your car to a corolla and install solar with BeeBeeJump at N13k per month...you will thank me later. Data buy in bulk for N5k and switch to GoTV. I don't even gave cable in the US only internet ...so ask yourself how often you watch DSTV. I can cut your bills into half....reach out to me. Instead of eating out...you can get someone to cook and deliver and put in the freezer for you...you have tons of options here buddy ... and have a plan or something you are saving for or towards. A man without a plan is like a man traveling without destination...you will run out of fuel and money and still will be lost. You have a small window...once you fail now to do the needful...spirit of wealth will depart and you are in for a rude awakening. If you can't manage wealth, you are destined to lose it. Check all the religious writings Most people will know that are broke including some parents at some point had money...they wasted it all. Essenza01: |

NLC has chosen to be partisan. It has lost its relevancy. The next 4 yrs will be interesting to see. iwaeda: |
I agree he is the ONLY one that deserves to keep his job from this list, and our sister Abike Dabiri. No doubt they have done well, and we can see what they have done. Folks like Amaechi....a snake, gone for good now. I used to like him, but his ambition was destructive. Aregbesola...retire for good...cos Passports still remain hard to get. We need Fashola as advisor cos he said he is done, and El Rufai...praised across both parties. concacid: |
Jonathan was an accidental president. People did not fight his policy...they fought his right to be the President, and only used the policy fights as a cover. Nigeria cannot afford an accidental president that is not and was not agreed to by the North and the South. This is one of the reason I believe Tinubu won. Atiku was a Northern Candidate Peter Obi was a Southern Candidate Tinubu was a Northern and Southern Candidate...and all parts of Nigeria, except for one region mobilized for him because the handwriting was on the wall. This is my own belief....feel free to speculate yours. Ray07: |
