Lol she reminded me of my JAMB score...We MATH people do terrible in English. If I had score 60+ in English, I would have had 300+ and this was 20yrs ago. I think my English was 38. Math was 90+, Physics and Chemistry in the 80s. I scored 276. I was number 2 in Elect Elect UI list. Number 1 scored 277. Then ASUU of UI went on Strike for 9 months...That year, my closepal Bosun scored the highest in JAMB and was the first one to score above 300. He went on to MIT on Full Scholarship and got his Masters there too. I got partial scholarship and later full scholarship myself after sitting for SAT and TOEFL while ASUU of UI was still on strike. The week of resumption was the week I traveled out. God is Good...now a proud founder of IDAGBA Empowerment Foundation. Dont be fooled...God cannot be mocked. Imo Governor is the Head of APC Progressive Governors Forum...You best believe he was elected not to lose Imo, but because winning Imo is a done deal. aminulive: |
Nigerians love gossip so I am sure they will keep calling and coming...Baba wants to rest ijustdey: |
Thank you for all these folks do for our veterans. My plan with my foundation IDAGBA Empowerment Foundation is to support our people and our veterans some day. We are still 1yr old, but very soon God willing, we will make our own impact. We must promote our culture, and you all made my childhood amazing in spite of many life challenges I had to deal with. So far, we are doing our parts with Orphanages, renovating classroom block and plan to do another renovation of a Chemistry Lab this summer. If you would like to support us, email is idagbaempowermentfoundation@gmail.com. We have also supported people on Nairaland with getting jobs, rent and pay some small loans. It is only God. We all must learn the act of giving ...stated explicitly in all of our religions...even Yoruba ones believe in Sacrifices, doing favor to call in favors...las las everything we strive for is all vanity. Who will take over the houses and cars...no one knows. We assume it will be our children...but look around you, some people's properties became problems thereafter for those left behind. Some are even abandoned because children have JAPA. Omihanifa: |
Privatize the NFF... this is one of those things Nigeria Govt have no business in spending money on because they are often saddled with corruption. People use these WorldCup to japa and I mean the so-called staff and another way to siphon funds by claiming to attend these games, and I mean the officials. robosky02: |
Its 50-50 for me.. I love our children, but I might have waited till 40 to get married, lol and maybe sign prenuptial knowing what other people go through. Hmmm, marriage these days...so sad. I have a friend with stroke now...the wife MIA. Think wisely...plan wisely.

|
True...that is the argument the LGBTQ community is making, but there are laws against racial discrimination...Testing that against Free Speech will probably be a no go area for businesses. Going against same sex might be OK but I doubt being racist will fly. Raskimonojendor: |
Is vehicle license fee annually? If it is, I am not aware of it. If it is, then I agree with you they need to amonize all of these. I do think its a way to make the rich to cough out more...if you have 5 cars, you pay N5k annually. I think the Govt need to enforce the Land Use Charge and compel people to pay, or show difficulty in paying so they can be suspended or vacated short term. We must pay these fees and taxes so other agencies can spring up, and more people can get jobs. By the way, the Govt should contract most of these stuff out and have companies bid for them every 2-3 yrs. valarinz: |
This is a major ruling and will affect the LGBTQ community. I do think you cant force a business to offer service to people they disagree with. Racists are often denied services and so on. This is truly a BREAKING NEWS. fergie001: |
You don't even realize you are contradicting yourself...who will do this except..... Anyways they ain't using stickers in Nigeria ...so what? The point is...you still pay annually or biannual to keep your car on the road...same difference. If you have issues with the policy, go to court ...it's a nice way to raise revenue. MVA policies are by states in the USA...you can speak for all the states I suppose...I choose to speak for mine. If you like, continue responding in order to make yourself feel good. The point is simple...it's meant to raise revenue. If US states only care for ownership change, they won't care about stickers. This policy is actually really good in Nigeria where crime rate is high with little database...register your vehicle annually...If you don't like it, stick to public transportation...na N1000 only. OmoNla99: |
Out of all the things I typed...the only thing that jumped at you is sane countries. Dang, we have a long way to go. We have so many damaged folks looking to pick a fight or controversy online. How did we become like this as a people or as a country? By the way, I said sane countries you "all"...its a metaphor...did not really refer to you perse lexy2014: |
Biden travels within the US with AirForce 1 and Helicopters and if you think there are no drones and satellites monitoring him, you are kidding. While we don't have all of those things, the closest thing to security in Nigeria is large convoys...if Obi does not like it, he can go to court. YES DADDY Dailyhappenings: |
All the sane countries you all talk about US govt taxes business and individuals --- > Provide contracts to Military Industrial Complex and Companies, Subsidies to Agriculture for School Lunches, Medicaid, Housing Vouchers ---- > This creates jobs for more people that pay taxes ---> and the cycle continues. You get it. lexy2014: |
Wrong information - In Maryland, you get stickers that you attach to your plate number to show that your vehicle is registered. Once that expires, the police can pull you over. Of course you can renew it online, but if the car is stolen, you wont bother renewing it in person or online because of your address..and police have uncovered many crimes by pulling cars over for expired tags. You can buy a car and not change the title by the way, but you will be forced to do so when you have to renew the license tags. Now, you have been served, and its close to $200. OmoNla99: |
So fees are not taxes...NHS does not tax...but Govt does...who runs NHS lol. Anyways, since you cant read between the lines...Govt uses taxes to run NHS and pay doctors and nurses...the jobs we run to in the UK seunayantokun: |
You need my attention. Your tonation has already spoken for you. Happy Eid lexy2014: |
Dang, she posted his Atlanta GA address. The house was bought in 2015. As someone who just came back from Atlanta...those ladies are all about money...and not surprised that this one is an American IndecentStar...she might even be on OnlyFans for all I know. Davido needs to be careful. She will be going for child support for real and will be set for life by doing no work. God save Davido on this one...then again, he has money so he will be fine. VeryWickedPrick: |
People that have jobs and money must pay more taxes...those taxes are then used to create jobs for more people to work and pay more taxes...that is how the Western Nation works. Our folks run to UK to work as Nurses...why? NHS because NHS taxes everyone and uses the money to pay Nurses, Doctors and so on...you also have IT jobs...most IT companies get Govt contracts. Its a symbiotic relationship. chatinent: |
I agree that it might not serve all these purposes, but you are assuming Tinubu is Buhari. I am sure in Lagos, you just don't sit home and have documents provided to you. Lagos Govt has at least created legal and legit ways to get things done. That is not to say that Lagos is perfect, but my guess is...this would be ran by private companies like Tow Gates and some funds might be channeled back into the Govt. There will never be a perfect system, but as it is, the current car registration system ain't working and does not guide against everything I mentioned in my submission. tnerro1: |
The smell of BBQ meats all over...can be very refreshing. ManirBK: |
You went to pray to God...because you cant sit in the front, you left. Humility before God is missing here. That 4 or 8yrs will soon come and go. Let us learn to remember that. If I was the Governor, I would still sit wherever and pray, then maybe after that, I will speak to the Imam so they can place nametags on the chairs in the future. You still have 3 more Sallah to attend. Why start on this note? I don't get it. abc115: |
There are so many reasons why this is good. It is like car registration 1. You cannot steal a vehicle and go for Proof of Ownership. If the car has been declared wanted, you are going to be in big trouble. 2. If a car is sold, the new owner will be forced to get his own proof of ownership and justify the purchase. 3. This is done in sane countries...in Maryland USA, I think its biannually 4. It can also be used to enforce...Police can ask for Proof of Ownership and verify the documents with NIN/IDs 5. Even if you try to repaint or change a stolen vehicle, you will still need to have proof of sale and submit documents for Proof of Ownership Yes, is it extra tax on the people that have vehicles...yes, but it will also provide JOBS JOBS JOBS and open up another way to generate revenues to pay those workers. Like I told someone before...US/UK pay so many different taxes, and that is how they are also able to provide so many different types of jobs or contracts. US Military spending alone is greater than almost all countries combined...You have Haliburton, GE, Boeing, Amazon, Google...all of them get Govt contracts. You have IRS and officers that collect and enforce taxation. You have Federal Police, different from State Police and Local Govt or County Police and you also have City Police...State Highway Police and so on. Govt pays for all of them and use the same taxes...FireHouse and workers in every few streets, Medicaid for elderly which opened job opportunities that people run to...Nursing, Doctor and so on. Even IT and CyberSecurity is due to Govt spending. So if you want more jobs private or public, you must take and distribute. Rich people that have 10 cars will have to pay N10,000 per year...which is nothing to them. I support this move for all of the reasons above. If you cannot pay N1000 per year, you should not be driving please and thank you. iwaeda: |
You should know his answer....he will blame the FULANI Herdsmen. Let me help you...he used it to fight insecurity by creating a useless militia. DaddyFreeze2020: |
Criminal negligence and involuntary manslaughter to not insist on life jackets. You need to make examples of some people at some point so these stuff would stop. Govt can always supply or subsidize these jackets or make them from old rubber tires bluemansion: |
Sure I can and I have...but I didn't renovate where the person was buried...I fenced it out and protected the grave. My Dad also bought one but the family was told to transfer the dead. The land was in between his two properties and he had issues with one of the community member and he was trying to buy that land which would have been a major nuisance in between my Dad's 2 properties. I encouraged it because if the other guy had bought it and decided to farm..that would have been a disaster...Fast forward...he now has a small Estates joining all of those together. If you didn't have a hand in the dead, you got nothing to worry about in my opinion. There are so many unmarked Graves that people have built on over the years. Do we test every inch of soil to see if someone died or the land was used for rituals or place of putting down spiritual foods...nope. We move Divoc19: |
So let me get this... President Tinubu went to Chicago State University and received a degree...but he submitted a fake copy to INEC...that stated that he received a similar degree from the same school. So, was he trying to deceive INEC? Did he lie about his school and qualification? Even a court would never find him in contempt or charge him for deceit...at the very worst, he would be considered sloppy and that is not a crime. Now if he did not attend the school he is claiming and did not graduate and claim he did...then that is an attempt to deceive the court and criminal perjury. Please Danburuwa: |
You assume so much. I am sure my business in Nigeria generates more revenue than your salary...and even the funds given out by my NGO. So please, stop insulting if you have no clue about the person. Businesses can be given time to implement within months. Some will do it, some won't. UK businesses dont generate power...do you know how much people pay monthly? I do since you claim to know so much and Nigerians cant pay that. Even UK citizens get govt assistance for energy bills. You blame the Govt...what about the customers that bypass, no meters, tap directly, steal and vandalize electricity equipments, marketers that steal from Discos and so on. Still the Naija Govt can begin a sea change. You dont believe it...that is your opinion. Subsidy is gone, Electricity is LOCAL...no one thought those were possible too. Flets: |
Once upon a time...JAMB below 200 cannot enter Universities...this one dey take 140...how the mighty have truly fallen Visagemedia: |
This is how minimum wages are raised in sane countries. Some business will fold, some will expand, new industries will come into play, real entrepreneurs will adjust prices and demand more from workers....and life goes on. Why do you think productivity is high abroad...they pay but you do the job of 4 people in Nigeria for UK....even your body will say I feel it Flets: |
I agree with this amount as well, but keep in mind it will automatically increase corpers allowances to N70k for all students serving. Lets hope the Govt can meet up...but most especially I believe they should allow the private sectors to gradually implement any upward review in Minimum wage...maybe by Dec ending for employees 10 or more...N50k and by end of next year, N70k implementation for private sector implementation and enforcement. The Govt must ENFORCE. That is why abroad is SANE. You have to post the minimum wage at your place of business for your employees. savcy: |
Even USA operates in cash...but corruption will definitely be part of the process. Corruption in USA is ProMAX, especially in the Military Industrial Complex. Look it up and verify ![]() Islie: |
