I still do not think you all understand governance. Every Ministry present their budget to the FEC and they work with the Legislative branch to approve it You heard Amaechi said his budget for CCTV was voted down Even the decision to revise how much States and LGAs get were all done at the FEC levels. States got bailed out...how? Fed borrowed money and States said they cant meet salary obligations due to Covid-19...Feds bailed them out Even Fed projects done were approved at the FEC and no one is gagged from talking. Stop fooling yourself thinking Buhari was a dictator...this was a JOINT Govt and joint decision. That States didn't execute...hold your Govs responsible. Buhari cant solve States issues and LGAs responsibility. Biden does not solve DC or MD problems here. Learn and study GOVERNANCE...even those found engaged in corruption were investigated by EFCC and sent to Judiciary like normal societies do. Omoslim26: |
Hahaha...na your family dey link their lives to politicians. Those that know their God shall be strong and do exploits. - Daniel 11:32b Some people have achieved things your many generations will only dream about. Then again, ignorance beget ignorance and you see Nigeria as an isolated country controlled by a god called Buhari.... what you need is a magician in your life to do abracadabra...Leadership is HARD...go and lead then come back and pray. By the way, prayer without work is dead TippuTip: |
and who told you we have autocracy? Commande in Chief of the Armed Forces...and even the Armed Forces have signed rules of engagement agreed to around the world, so they don't work in isolation or as they see fit. PLEASE READ and LEARN people...it is good for your soul. Lamasta: |
Based on what metric did you design that question? What is OK to you? Are you a psychologist now? Mayeldah: |
Based on what metric...most of the decisions made under Buhari was agreed to at the FEC level which included all Govs and Legislative Leaders. Abeg, learn and blame the right people. SpartaOfLagos: |
These are assumptions. Those that want Kanu released can also put more things in place to prevent recapture. There are IEDs now and so on. Jumping bail alone can make any Govt hold anyone forever...even USA. We are assuming Kanu has realised some things...but the position of the Govt is to take the position of caution. Decision making is HARD. I pray they do the right thing for the country. Benwallt: |
The KANU case is not as simple as it looks. First, Buhari does not micromanage, so he wont dabble into the affairs of the state. Second, some matters are beyond the Presidency...like Asange. Even though Democrats love the leaks...the Presidency who happens to be a Democrat went after him. Even though Trump seems to be for leaks too...still had to choice but to go after and not pardon. There are very strong interests in Kanu matters...is SE safer now with him in custody than out of it...the Military people have data to show one way or the other. Was he released before and he jumped bail? Yes, so these are all the things that the Govt will consider. In addition, there are strong elements in the Judiciary and State that do not want him released...I would not be surprised if there are folks from SE that would not want him released. They still see him as very influential, and no one wants to release it, and find it impossible to catch him again. A wounded snake can be very very deadly. The govt might be totally wrong, but following this matter for a while, I can see where they might be coming from...lots of people have a stake in this matter. I personally believe he can be released on HOUSE arrest with limited access with some people...but can IPOB invade and try to release him by force...another possibility. May God give the Govt the wisdom to do the right thing. No one knows the right thing until we see the consequences...we might then say...maybe they should have kept him in Jail or THANK GOD they released him, things are better now. Who knows what will happen...Making Decision as leaders is very HARD. This is why I do not always fault leadership Benwallt: |
Buhari is a comedian. Most people dont know this, and take these statements very seriously. He is probably also trying to make a point that he is from Niger Republic; a claim his haters have made many many times in the past. Benwallt: |
It is a New World Order and Russia-China are the HEAD of the new conglomerate. Know this and know peace. WriterNig: |
Ortom just go away already. I am sure he will run out of the country after his term and privileges are all over. Please GO AWAY....you passed a law and with thousands died, you still find ways to blame others. You ignored security reports...they are waiting to expose and possibly arrest him. I am curious to see what he will do after handing over. hdaveyork: |
I cant believe Police can still be reckless after all the attacks on them in the SE. If two are eating..they should be alert and ready with 3 of them on patrol. In this day and age, they also need drones to track attackers miles away or CCTV. 5 died plus a couple....so sad for them and their families....I cannot imagine the last time someone killed 5 police officers at the same time in the Western world...we definitely have a long long way to go in training our officers to be professional and be on alert at all times. treesun: |
Why would anyone want to stop CBN from claiming funds in Dormant Accounts? After a period of time, the FDIC or the bank must transfer unclaimed property to the state. Federal law requires unclaimed deposit accounts to be transferred to the state after 18 months, and state laws differ on the period of time after which contents of safe deposit boxes must be transferred. That is from the United States...18 months. Yet, Naija will sit there for years...let those who have stolen the funds come out and claim it. ...if not, publish them in the newspapers or online where people can find information based on last names...then transfer them within a month of doing so. Some times I dont feel like responding on here, because I am allergic to ignorance. Do you know that we have been exporting products that have been rejected for not meeting international standards? Do you know that you cannot just export what other countries do not want or buy in advance? Do you know that exporting finished products is better and more economical than raw materials in order to prevent deficits? Do you know that our producers have been using other countries' labels to ship products for acceptability outside Nigeria? Now that we have established all the things you do not know.. Now, the Fed Govt realizes that instead of shipping raw materials, they can ship finished products, and this is why you have the largest rice mill in Lagos, and the largest storage certification facility being built in Lagos that meets international standard. That is why you also have automated Lekki Deep SeaPort. That is why they stopped Lithium export; now we have companies building battery production plants in Kaduna. Now we have LNG and LNG stations springing up, and also battery powered vehicles. Now, we have vehicle assembling plants that will eventually use Natural Gas and Battery. We have the population to consume what we produce, and self-sustainability is the first step to a prosperous Nigeria not looking for things to export. Please READ...it is good for the soul. She wanted to be moved from Kogi Hospital...if they wanted to kill her, will they allow her to gain consciousness? Anyways Abuja has better hospitals and our elites love nicer things OneCandleAway: |
Electric Buses make sense...Train makes no sense. How many US universities with their billions of dollars in funds have a train system? Unless they want to start Train courses and Train maintenance degrees ....makes absolutely NO SENSE. ijustdey: |
Before you said Igbos are being sidelines...the Fed Govt heavily promoted and supported Innoson, and this is one of the plans to diversify before removing subsidy....but then again an average Nigeria does not read well or comprehend or put 2 plus 2 together...why? It is too much work. Ask how many LNG Gas stations we had 5 yrs ago...ZERO and how many do we have now? They don't know. We discovered Crude in multiple new states now..na Research but an average Nigerian will say nothing is working. They want 1 to 100...magician. Supremos: |

NairaLand must do phone verification of accounts so people can be sued for defamation and tracked...or banned. The rate at which we make shit up scares me. It is not the fake news that bother me...It is that when the real stories now come up, people would fail to believe it because fake news is not grounded as the truth. No proof, yet you accuse a man that is in Mecca performing a spiritual exercise and looped him into illegality. Jostoman: |
You people and conspiracies. The scary thing is that yall believe in your own conspiracy Jostoman: |
Politics Drama so Party can quickly zone...why not name the people and reveal thyself if you can win the lawsuit against defamation Lol ijustdey: |
