Back to the question. Depends on the couple. Some people like to hear it some people like to be shown it. For me personally actions speak louder than words but it is nice to hear it too  wink
When was the last time you heard it?.  . . . .Be sincere. . . wink

@ Topic, when exactly does saying I love you disappear in a marriage setting. . . .I know some friends that used to openly tell their spouses they love them publicly when talking on the phone or when they are together before they got married, now 3 -4 years into their marriages and I never hear them utter such words anymore. . . .

Most people visualize God based on the people who brought the idea to them. . .Since most Nigerians believe in either the white manor Arab man's God, its natural to visualize God as a white man or an entity with Arabic identity. . .

When the christians here go about telling muslims that they worship an arabic desert God that is dead and powerless( some equate Allah to the mythical devil), they are spreading the good news and doing what is right. . . When the atheist here( who happen to be indoctrinated with the christian bubble of delusion since childhood but dropped it off) challenge the stupid delusions the christians spew as doctrines they are labelled evangelical/militant/aggressive/fanatical/etc atheist  grin grin grin. . . .No be small thing. . .

Enigma:
But why only to "church" now? Why not also mosque, Babalawo/Ọṣun/Ogun/Ṣango/etc shrine or temple, Buddhist temple, Hindu temple, Jewish synagogues, atheists' chaplaincies?

cool
Because the research was conducted in America and most of the people were former christians who grew up in the christian tradition and the christian religion happens to be the ONLY religion they were indoctrinated with and exposed to through their family tradition. Majority of Americans claim to be christians and that is the number religion in the country. . . .If  the research were conducted in Pakistan the Mosque is where they will send their kids to not a church. . .Nobody knows Sango or Ogun in the united states so asking why they don't send their kids there is a waste of time. . . .But then I know you will always try to promote your religion thinking its special any way you can. . .

Women back then tolerate one minute men but now, mbaaaaaaaaa nu, only 30minutes minimum kind of men are accepted everywhere. cool

Tufiakwa back then wey be say if our mamas need some loving, instead of going to their husbands and grabbing their dickkksss, what do they do? rub white powder round their necks as sign say kongi dey hold them sad

Tufiakwa again, those days wey be say women managed "missionary" position all their lives but now? if you are not multi-talented you don't stand a chance in my car not to talk of my bedroom cool

Tufiakwa the third time, those days that women had to manage dicksss only without the use of fingers and tongues. cry cry

Back then wey women saw dirty talking as crime and were happy to have quiet men (breathing like Samson when he killed the lion and freed himself from the chains delilah's people put on him) as husbands.

Thank goodness for liberation, now breeze don blow and okuko(chicken) nyash don open.

PS only men with multi talented VISA(accepted everywhere)dickss are allowed into the chambers of the fountain of living waters grin cheesy. We accept only very wealthy and well fed dickssss now with potentials and when I mean potentials I mean d ones that will come out of ya throat and make you break the da vinci code with praises. Those ones you go on your knees and sing praises and worships with and for, that so tey annointing will catch it and it will start responding by shooting out with happiness like when Naija first regained freedom. cool

I hope Mr poster that yours sincerely here have answered your question. Thank me with a RR sports cool

Marriages at that time is not marriage . . . . . Cos they are not happy and yet cant talk.
Divorce then is seen as a taboo . . . . . .
Women then are owned and are like objects, now they have a voice.
Men then are hard working and willing to take care of their homes, Men now are lazy and just wants short cuts and making the woman to even be the bread winner
The women then are willing to give up what they never had for the home, but now, it is all about ME, Me and mE . . .
Back in the days men had excessive power and treat their women any how they want to. . . .Divorce unfortunately will only get higher as women are increasingly becoming educated and earning good wages. . . .They can live without depending on any man and as such will tolerate less of the nonsense men throw at them. . . .A lot of the old school marriages are not marriages. . .Most of the women are just suffering in silence. . .

Why is it that modern day Jews refuse to live by the old testament laws?. . . .The claim the Torah is their religious book but fail to adhere to most of its laws and principles, why is that?. . .

They don't stone their disobedient children to death, don't practice and eye for an eye, don't force rape victims to marry their attackers, etc. . .The have jettisoned most of the OT laws. . . Why is that?

Now women are educated, a lot of them earn as much as men and can survive independently which makes them tolerate less of the nonsense the men throw at them. . .Back in the days women depend solely on men for everything, now its different. . .

Interesting how people believe, even willing to die for, stories from a veeeeeery distant past that sounded more like fairy tales and yet find it difficult to believe things that are happening in their own life time. People can believe Elijah was taken up by chariots of fire but they cannot believe that a space craft has discovered another planet. They probably would believe if it aligned with a prediction in the bible.
Just my thots!
Great thoughts nonetheless. . .They will easily believe that Mohammed divided the moon into two halves some 1400 years ago or that Jonah lived inside a fish for 3 days because it was written in mythical books they have been indoctrinated to believe in since childhood. . . .They will never accept the fact that there are planets like ours that harbor life. . .My believe is that in the near future(100-200) years from now, space technology will improve greatly and planets that harbor life will be discovered. . . .When the time comes I wonder what the story will be. . . .

(Acts 2:1-13) U can as well tell us, what the people drank on the day of pentecost, before the observers mocked them of taking much wine??  This could give u the answer as to what Jesus drank also. (verse 13: Some, however, made fun of them and said, “They have had too much wine.”
According to the story the people mocked them, they saw them doing something strange and mocked them by saying they drank too much wine. Normally when you see people doing strange things its normal to use words like "are you drunk"? or "you must be drunk". . .But in the case of Jesus, he said that people called him a drunkard and a glutton because he feats and drinks, what was he drinking when the people called him a drunkard? will you care to tell us?. . . .

Image123:
you're not answering my questions either,  ever think of that? here's another, are you drinking what you think Jesus drank?
What was he drinking when the people called him a drunkard?. . . .He said he feasts, and for that he was called a glutton,he also said he drinks, and for that he was called a drunkard, the question is, what was he drinking?. . .The fact that you don't want to answer says a lot. . . .

It is not for kings, it is not for kings to drink wine, nor for princes strong drink.
it's amazing people still imagine that the king or kings and the prince ofpeace to be foolish?
What was Jesus drinking when the people called him a drunkard?. . .According to the story, Jesus said he feasts and drinks and for that the people called him a glutton and a drunkard, the question is what was he drinking when the people called him a drunkard. . .It seems you guys don't want to touch it at all. . . . .

You obviously need some Bible lessons here:

"They gave him vinegar to drink mingled with gall: and when he had tasted thereof, he would not drink" -- Matthew 27:34

So this is your evidence that Jesus drank alcohol? huh  What would these guys not resort to so as to justify their drinking habits? undecided
Only that another gospel said that he drank the sour wine(vinegar wine). . . .

Jhn 19:29 Now a vessel full of sour wine was sitting there; and they filled a sponge with sour wine, put it on hyssop, and put it to His mouth.
Jhn 19:30 So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, "It is finished!" And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.

Spin master come and spin this one lets see. . .He was already crucified yet he still recieved the wine that was placed in his mouth. . .

If it was not mentioned what he drank, why u come up with a conclusion that he drank alcohol? If the observer thought are u not in same shoe as them, because the varse didnt say he drank wine:sadunlike John the Baptist who would not eat bread or drink wine and was called a demon, that HE is eating and drinking. did her said drinkin wine? sure i see which is off point.
Do they call people that drink juice and water drunkards?. . .People that eat too much food are called gluttons, and people that drink to much alcohol are called drunkards. . .
Christianity Etc › Re: The Very Good Wine by mazaje(m): 6:39pm On Dec 01, 2011
OLAADEGBU:
The simple English comprehension is that you cannot please the world.  John the Baptist abstained from all social life they accused him of being demon possessed, Jesus Christ accepted invitations and they called Him a drunkard and a glutton.  Just as you guys are accusing Him today.  If you claim that He drank alcohol what is your evidence?

Hypocrites and enemies of the truth will always condemn whatever method godly men use in propagating the truth because they are looking for ways to justify their acts of darkness and rejection of the truth.
Na wah ohh no be small thing. . .WHERE in the passage did Jesus say people call him a drunkard and a glutton because he accepts invitation? grin grin grin
