Gej ruined himself when :
(1) He turned himself from a popular nationwide accepted president to president seen by some region, ethnic and religion as their own.
(2) When some cabals that Nigerians fought against to bring him into power hijacked him, play some sychophancy game on him and he deserted Nigerians to do the will of the cabals.
(3) When he allowed first lady to control him dictates to Nigerians and subsequently allowed some sycophants to abuse and disgraced every well meaning Nigerians who tried to call her to order.
(4) When he allowed vultures and scavengers to take over his governments and extort Nigerians.
(5) When he allowed himself to be played into religious game and allow insult on other religion just to win some sympathy ( mind you, I'm a Christian too but I don't tolerate religious bigotry as played by this administration).
This is so so true...

Are u now saying that APC should dump dat plan because of the fear of sabotage??
Nope! I didn't say that. But I think the program itself will not happen; it is a mere electioneering campaign. Let's wait and see though.

And if you read someone's comment on this particular matter, you will see the challenge at hand even before it starts... I mean talking about implementing it is only Fed. Schools and APC States because of the type of Government we run- Federalism.

Let's be practical here. In truth the free meal programme will only apply to FG schools and government schools in APC states. The FG cannot force such a programme on PDP or APGA or Labour Party states, neither will it apply to private schools. Not with our Federation style of government. So, the question is, what number of children did this report use to come up with their cost?

As for corruption; well APC and Buhari ' campaign is centered on anti corruption. We can only wait to see how they truly intend to tackle corruption.
You see, you have really raised very valid points. Unfortunately, both the APC and the PDP never engaged in issues based campaign, and this I will blame on the PDP. If both sides had taken hold of either sides manifesto and criticise it critically, perhaps they would brought out some salient point that can be used to defeat some lies from both ends. But what do we have? certificate issue; age palava and so many other nonsense.

Rather than GEJ and his team to harp on what they have done in the close to six years that they have been running the affairs of the country, they were busy throwing insult at the General. FFK, Abati and Doyin didn't do well for the man from Otuoke. And little wonder they gave GMB and his team a jolly ride into the heart of some Nigerians. Otherwise, if they had actually took the opposition, right from the onset, with issue based campaign without resulting to insult, we would have had a more robust campaign and all these issues would have been put to rest by now.

In my estimation, the only area I see GMB doing well is in the curbing of corruption. Other areas I'm skeptical about because of the wage bill, not necessarily based on the report in this post, but because it is too ambitious and looks too good to be true. Me think it is just an electioneering thing. Let's face reality.

Sadly, it will still largely be based on oil revenue. Anyone who thinks that will change within the first year or two is not being realistic. Even 16 years of PDP rule hasn't changed that. However, any serious government can at least put structures in place that clearly show that the country is working towards diversifying the economy within four years.

For all those saying they will 'carry' their oil away; keep deceiving yourselves. I'll believe you when I see you on the front line spraying rounds of bullets out of your AK47. But then you don't know how to handle one do you?
In addition to my earlier post, despite being an APC and GMB fan, let's be adults here, I'm also skeptical about the 'one meal per day' programme for every child in school. Aside from the cost, as suggested by the business day, the clog in the wheel of the progress of such programme, if at all it ever takes off, is the human aspect- people will sabotage it through corruption. Take the NYSC programme for example. Do you know how much the Fed. Govt. spends on each corp member's feeding and kits during orientation. But look at the type of food we are being served, not minding that we are grown-ups and knows our right, not to talk of those kids in primary school. Don't be surprised to find all the meal for the day in a teacher's kitchen, or even in the LG chairman's house.

Let me first let you know that I'm an APC and GMB fan, so that you will know from which angle I'm speaking from. Having said that, I quite agree with you that all these promises without figures doesn't add up. And just like Soludo said, we shouldn't take all these campaign promises serious if the party cannot put cost to these programmes or tell us how they intend to source the financing of the projects. And if their hope is based or projected on revenues from oil receipts only, then I think they are getting it wrong.

You are right. Politics involves competition like everything in life. You do not create an opening for your competitors to take advantage of and expect them not to. Buhari and APC exposed themselves with the certificate issue. They would have done much worse should it be Jonathan that was in Buhari shoes.

This issue questions Buhari's strategic management skills as a retired general should it be a war front, that's how he would have exposed his officers to attacks by giving the enemies weapons to use against them.

Also questions his planning and organisational skills for someone gunning for the country's top management job, he ought to have solved this issue long ago not now.

His integrity is also put to question with this issue, to be quiet while his supporters were busy trying every tricks in the world to defend him, when all he needed to do was to provide the documents and manage the damage control on time tells so many negatives against him. He had enough time to manage this, I recall the news first broke out early December, 2014.

It only shows he will be very slow to attend to critical issues because if he is this very slow in attending to critical issues concerning his person, integrity, career and qualifications before the job, how can he be fast in attending to critical issues concerning millions of Nigerians if he is given the job?

He is obviously not smart at all. Too unintelligent to wrestle power from an incumbent. He is way below par. I will never gamble my vote on such a person. Too dull in 2015.

Yes . I agree with you that the PDP is trying to destabilize the opposition party and that's just one of the few election strategies ; hit them where it hurts . PDP is really hitting them hard . The issue has lingered for so long and that is the strongest hold PDP has on APC .

I seriously wonder why people fail to realize that PDP has raised a very important issue which needs to be addressed . Political and ethnic sentiments has beclouded our judgement .As far as Buhari does nothing about validating his results , the opposition party will continue to feast on his misfortune .

There is no need asking why PDP has continued to raise this particular issue . The pertinent question to ask is why hasn't Buhari cleared the air about his certificates by providing one that's void of doubt

Why should he mention Gusau's school when it's a lot easier for Buhari to provide his real certificate and shut everyone up once and for all?

The way APC is managing this simple certificate issue is a pointer to the type of people they are. They are obviously not open and transparent as they claim to be. Though for me I have since seen through their Change facade and not surprised. Am glad Nigerians are watching and learning a lot from these people. It's a big shame they allowed this little issue to get to this stage, now they don't have anywhere to hide.
You see, I quite agree with you that Buhari should just do the needful, write to whoever it is concerned to release the authentic result and let's move on. Now, be that as it may. I think the PDP and the Presidency have actually achieved whatever is their objective with this certificate issue. And that objective, I believe, is to divert our attention from the real campaign issue. For the past how many weeks now, we have been on Buahri's certificate saga and nothing more.

By the way, going by what Obasanjo (loath or like him, he still has his voice), I think the PDP and GEJ simply wants to distabilise GMB's camp. And just like Obasanjo said, "...a General will always remain a General.

Oh, am tired. Many people to thank but NEVER Jonathan. Similar to the NBA/lawyers stickers i see around, 'Wetin Jonathan dey do self.' grin Some Nigerians are shallow thinkers. Can easily be manipulated by Fashola's simple political gimmicks.
You didn't get the message in the speech by Mr. Fashola simply because you decided to politicise it. If you could remember, Fashola did said that rather than play politics with the issue of Ebola, with the PDP led Federal Government using that as a campaign tool, the credit should have gone to those people he mentioned.

Now, have you ever heard a single statement from the Fed Govt paying tribute to those that were really on ground to fight Ebola? No, none my friend. Everything has been attributed to the effort of the Fed. Govt., and this is one abnormality Mr. Fashola, by my own understanding of his speech, is trying to correct. Please be rightly guided.

Sibabasibaba1: Fashola, to my mind, is the one playing politics here. The President talked about how united Nigerians were in tackling ebola, eschewing party politics. Fashola is here trying to score cheap political points. He talked about LUTH and National Centre for Disease Control, Abuja. Are those Lagos State owned institutions? The daily briefings of the Minister of Health on ebola helped in reassuring Nigerians. Coordinated timely information provision in times of emergency is one of the ways epidemics are contained and the Minister did well in that.

It was the FG that traced the nurse who escaped to Enugu, it was also the FG that moved to PH to help contain the virus there.

Noone person can take the glory of containing ebola. It was contained through concerted efforts. And I dont think the FG has claimed it contained Ebola without other heroes.

For Fashola to begin to insinuate that smacks of gross irresponsibility
You see, some of you have comprehension problem.
Mr. Fashola said credit should be given to those men and women who saw and conquered ebola. He wasn't referring to a single person but the people who were on ground to really work to make sure ebola does not spread. Not those of us sitting behind our PC

I have read the comments of most people who quoted me while the ones that called themselves Christians resort to insult because they think they are protecting their faith, the Muslims have only one argument "how did Spain become Muslim?"
First to my christian brethren, you say the govt should not hide such tns, well I never said the government said so I'm only speculating that if that be the reason then it is justifiable. You say that GEJ has caused more religious divide ever since he started, well thats because some faith don't want him in power and will do everything to unsit him like they do in other places like Egypt, remember this people are willing to die for the nonsense they believe. Jonathan owes it a duty to protect her citizens and that is what Ayo has been accusing the FEG for not doing. And for some ho say that self defence is wrong for a christian, I laugh because you have just imbibed the Jehovah witness misinterpretations. When soldiers met John the baptist, he didnt ask them to resign from fighting wars to be counted as repentants. This is because there is nothing wrong with the military. Islam needs the like of Israel to discipline and keep them in check

for the muslims who say that Spain is Islam, its surprising that people still believe this propaganda their imam fed them. Wikipeadia has it that "As of 2007, it is estimated that over 1 million (1.6 as of 2013[1]) Muslims live in Spain,[2] most of them recent immigrants from North Africa, Middle East, and South Asia; although there are also some Spanish converts, estimated at between 20,000[3] and 50,000." out of over 40million people, 1 million is islam and they say spain is islam. Muslim marry many wives and give birth in multitude so their number seem to grow while christians practice family planning. stop deceiving yourselves statistics show that spain is 78% christian and only 2% muslim
My friend, first and foremost, if actually and truly you have passed through a school worthy of the certificate your're awarded, you ought to have know or they most have told you that you don't quite wikipeadia as a reference point in a serious discussion.

Let then answer the following questions.

The above position of the Federal Government is not only ludicrous, it is laughable, untenable and a story only fit to be told to the marines. The following rhetoric posers are germane to this issue:

Is it really faster and safer to do an international transaction of such magnitude by ferrying cash across the continent or by a simple wire transfer that can go through in a matter of few minutes or few hours?

If, indeed, the matter involves security issues like the purchase of arms by a foreign government like Nigeria, why was the South African Government not brought into the picture beforehand?

How could the South African Government be sure that the arms were purchased legitimately by the Nigerian government and not by insurgents if they were not officially informed beforehand?

If indeed the manufacturer(s) of such equipment was/were expecting such large amount by cash, why did they not make adequate arrangements with the authorities in South Africa to declare and clearvthe cash on arrival?

Why was money belonging to the Federal Government and meant for purchase of equipment for the Federal Government moved by a private jet and by private individuals and why were they not accompanied by the officials of the Department of State Services or the office of the National Security Adviser in official capacities?

Why would a government that is at the peak of promoting the cashless policy in our economy be the chief breaker of that policy by moving such a large amount by cash?

If, indeed, it was a legitimate transaction of the Federal Government, why were the officials of our embassy in South Africa not on hand to make the entry easier and smoother?
