Austine.E:I like the bold part. In fact, so many things we have not been considering are actually 'false flag'. At the risk of not derailing the topic, may I say that they are quite many in the advertising and PR industry. I even red some articles after the 9/11 event of how the Isreales used 'false flag' to buy America to there side. |
Please house, I need, or how I can get, the list of private schools in all the 36 states in Nigeria except that of Lagos. I already have Lagos. I'm ready to pay anybody who can get it for me. Thank you. |
shortgun: So what are they saying...and the worst part is that when a young person tries to create one for his/her self, it is these same set of people that tries to kill your idea. I'm referring to one particular professor who manages university consultancy services. She has been taking me through serious pains. |
d citizen:Well, what can one say at the bolded? Even when Lagos was the capital, the bolded was never in place, it never happened. My uncle once told me that it is not the whole of Lagos that was the federal capital, that was why you have places being refered to as 'Eko Federal' then. He said the Federal Capital stops at somewhere along Moshalashi, on your way from Ojuelegba, along Western Avenue (after the bridge) in-ward Mushin and towards Ikorodu on the Ikorodu Road. Even in Abuja, there are still indigenes there (please excuse my spelling, even the computer wont correct it). I doubt if it is the whole of Abuja that is regarded and treated in truth, fairly and squarely as the FCT. |
nnocurruption: Mr world traveller some countries do not practice this besides, there are billions of things that are already wrong about Nigeria that needs to be right before thinking about registering people in their respective states of residence. All am saying is that fashola should set his priority right, but Nigerian leaders only know the meaning of the word "priority" they don't understand it that is why they think legalising child marriage is what Nigeria needs. Dumb ass leaders they think like childrenYou should have at least take the lead by telling us what those priorities are. I honestly don't see anything wrong in this exercise as some of you on this forum wants us to believe. Besides, the exercise is free. So, why all these noise. And it is called RESIDENTS card not tribal or national census card. |
Bsmartt: Better by far!!!So, after graduation happened? You at home till thy kingdom come. If you know your onion, you wont be at home by this time of the strike, e no go even concern you |
Neyoor: First of his Kind! Kudos to the VC for achieving this. Admin send this to frontpage plsssNo! That's not true, I used similar card at YabaTech in 2004. We call it SMARTCARD. It was also later introduced in UNILAG in 2005. It carries your bio-metric: finger prints, etc. |
The site appears to be very slow in loading. |
how did you people know that it is fake? i will never follow the bandwagon |
You see people, for the first time in so many years, I really took my time, this very early morning, to read every single comments made on this thread and I can't but less agree with some of the 'for' and some of the 'againt' divide on weather we should pray for the repose of the soul of our dead politicians or not. However, let me suggest something. What about me being the judge here (a self appointed judge) while you will give your argument (like a lawyer) on why you think 'we should (for) or should not (against)' speak ill about dead politicians. And at the end of the exercise, I will pass my judgement by making reference to some of the strongest arguments on both sides without any prejudice. Isn't that a great idea? Let's try it if you don't mind. Oya |
Fokasibe: https://cdn.pmnewsnigeria.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/%E2%80%A2The-suspected-seven-man-robbery-gang-including-Chioma-their-leader-448x336.jpgFirst and foremost, what's the fuse about graduating from Unilag 'gat' to do with the fact that she may have committed a crime? Didn't the 'Pen-Robbers' at the helms of affairs in this graduated from one University or the other? In fact, some of them even went to the prestigious Harvard and Cambridge Universities only to turn out to be worst than armed robbers. Does it mean that that was what they were taught in school? I beg free UNILAG on this one jare. At the bolded, I think this story was culled from a News Paper publication- PM News. It is a shame, a very big shame, that a news paper house could not proof read its news content before going to press and giving us this nonsense. The bolded said the lady in question '...did graduated' while they meant to say '... did not ...' In fact, the last time I bought this same PM News, sometime last week, they carried a lead story with the caption: 'Cleric Shoot Self Dead', while someone said it is supposed to be: 'Cleric Shot Self Dead'. I go with that person's version, I think that's correct. |
I thought the Lagos State Government has always and consistently argue that it can service and is servicing its debt? By the way, is this not suppose to be a report compiled in 2011? Well, the picture painted might still be the same though, or may have even changed for the worse given past precedence in Nigeria's system of Governance. Anyway, I want to believe Lagos is up to the task. |
Delafruita: i didn't see a challenge so I wonder why you choose to term someone a lackey for stating the reality.the. Reality is there are very few molues currently in lagos because most people have chosen to go along with the BRT which is more covenient and equally affordable.there Is hardly any route where the molue is cheaper that BRT.so what difference does it make if the haphazard looking molues are eradicated?the drivers can be absorbed into the BRT sceheme besides the molues haven't even been eradicated.just restricted to certain areasI can't even remember the last time I saw a molue, as in a typical molue, on Lagos road talkless of boarding one. Another interesting angle to this whole thing is that I wonder when was the last time any of the people castigating the Governor has taken molue, even if they had ever done so before. By the way, I think it was also in the news that the Government had an agreement with the bus owners, during the introduction of the BRT scheme, that there is going to be a phase withdrawal of Molue on Lagos roads, which is what they they have now started. And for those clamouring for molue drivers, I don't think they can be out of job, because the restriction (not ban) was not abruptly announced or passed to them, it was a systematic implementation. They most, I mean the wise one among them, have taken the right steps in that regard. Mind you, more LagBus are being added every now and then and it is these drivers that are engaged to drive them Finally, this takes me to the way and manner news are being reported in this country lately, particularly when it concerns Lagos and Fashola. First, it was 'deportation' when actually it was 'repatriation' or 'uniting them with their family'. Now it is 'banned' when actually it is restriction to certain areas of the state. In conclusion, Lagos has always been in the news as if Lagos is the only State in Nigeria. It simply shows that somebody somewhere in Lagos is actually doing is job. |
berem: Pen pal? I remember having Pen pals from America in the 90's. Then you could write letters directly to whoever you wanted and you'll be replied.I had few names and addresses of American celebrities. I once wrote letter to HULK HUGAN and he sent me a T shirt with his picture on it. No yahoo yahoo intended.I once also wrote to Micheal Owen, the English footballer, and he sent me an autograph poster of his and a letter from his club then, on their letter headed paper. No Yahoo intended, it was just catching fun. Quiet a number of my school friends too had a couple of celebrities abroad as pen pal, it was the in-thing then. |
It appears as if it is only Lagos that is a state in this country in recent time; they are always in the news- either for good or bad. This shows that somebody somewhere in Lagos knows his/her onions and he/she is actually doing his job. Abi? |
donroxy: Ability to hold yourself absolutely responsible for your Success and Failures is what It really mean to be a man to me !!!Yeah! That's correct men. Just like I hold myself responsible for making a 3rd class in school. That's a failure by all standard you know. And I take sole responsibility for that. Check my linkdin page, you will see it there gbagada - 3rd Class |
This article applies to me and i have learnt a great deal from it. My fiancee's parent wants me to get a paid job, as in from which I will get a steady stream of income to take care of their daughter, whereas I have a dream I'm pursuing tenaciously. In fact, the is at the point of realization. Shay e easy to colloborate with UNILAG CONSULT on a programme ni? She said the father is adamant that she should look for someone else; that I don't have class- the child of nobody. (Omo, na tue o! I was born and bread in AJ City and this people are residing in Lekki. I no know wetin me too find reach there) But i have got to stand my ground; be the man! I'm not going to be intimadated. They can keep their girl for the son of any of their rich friends. I got to be the man. Sentiments apart! |
veraponpo: Bros, the B is Brazil not Britain. It is actually BRICS meaning Brazil, Russia,India,China and South Africa. They are world emerging economies. Britain and other EU countries are not there. These countries used to be called developing countries until recently that they actually moved out of others.Sooner or later, when I'm made the President of the Fed Rep of Nigeria, it will now transform to: BRINCSi.e. BRAZI, RUSSIA, INDIA, NIGERIA, CHINA & SOUTH AFRICA |
karl max: this is the same party that has tom ikimi that served under ibb. They didnt add even 1kva to national grid ,audu ogbe was pdp chairman during obj period how many kva did they add to the national grid? El rufai also attended fec meetings with obj as a pdp memeber, what of achike udenwa who did six years as governor in imo state as a pdp member these are some of the strong men of apc who for more than 10 years were pdp members.but today this same people would open their mouth and say pdp has ruled for 14 years without achieving nothing.while they were part and parcel of that 14 years rule.most of the formal corrupt pdp governors, ministers senators and house of rep members that misruled nigeria are now the leaders of the so called progressive.but in 2015 they would find out that nigerians are no foolsVery sensible and eye opening post. I never knew this all along. |
olatiler: Am very happy that we still have few honest guy like u on this forum, thanks for all point mentionSee this idiot talking about war. How old were you during the biafra war? I'm quiet sure you were not born then, otherwise you wouldn't have even torch war with the longest poll in this world. My advise; go and read Alexander Madibo's book on the Biafran War, then you'll know what we are talking about. Omo ale jati-jati. Idiot. Talking about War! Oloshi |
I think the best thing the south westerners should do is to just ignore the craze for the presidency as long as we can while we use that period of time to build our religion's infrastructure collectively irrespective of the political parties any of the administration belongs to. |
Boss13: What do you mean by poor people. Please change that word to regular people. You don come with your hatred for Fash again. I know you very well, no be you? |
deeptesting: I am happy someone has brought the attention of Nigerians to the deplorable state of roads in Alimosho Local Government Area..The submission of the reporter is nothing but a perfect condition of the people living in that area, the worst case scenario is your attempt to connect Cele Bus Stop from Ikotun in the morning..It is not just about the award of contracts on paper and some shallow minds will be celebrating; it is about the completion of such projects within a reasonable time to alleviate the suffering of the people..This is the same issue with the Buknor-Ijegun road been handled by HI-TECH or HI-ALOMO,which has been under construction for over 6 years without any visible progress..BRF should come to the aid of these communities and award contracts to competent contractors and not charlatans. At the bolded above is not true! Yes, it is not because you make it sound as if Alimosho is a deliberately forgotten and forsaken LG by the present administration! First and foremost, let me tell you that in as much as it is being stated everywhere that Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola is working, let it interest you that I, as one of his ardent supporters, also recognizes the fact that there some areas and places that more effort is still needed to be channeled to. The over 4,600 roads (provided that figure is right by my reconing can not be fixed in one swoop, giving the fact that there are other pressing and demanding issues government need to attend to within the limited resources. These includes health and education. Be that as it may, and back to your erroneous assertion that all the roads in Alimosho are bad, please I beg you pardon an ask you to stand to be corrected, since it appears to you Iyana Ejigbo, which the poster mischievously said was between Cele-Express and Ikotun, but which is actually between Jakande Gate and Ile-Epo bus stop on your way to Egbe, is not the only road in Alimosho. As a matter of fact, it is one of the numerous which is still under construction. Have you, by chance driven from, let's say, Dopemu (because I assume that's where Alimosho starts from) to this same Iyana-Ejigbo, en route Ikotun-Egbe, and see what the roads are like in these areas? Please try to do so for you to see that your claim below deeptesting: the deplorable state of roads in Alimosho Local Government Areais not true. Let me conclude by saying that it is not the state's responsibility to fix your inner roads. Please contact your LCDA or LG chairman. |
anonimi: Chief Obafemi Awolowo are far above Fashola in excellent performance with much less resources per citizen.you failed to state (perhaps you didn't realize) that they had far less population and frontiers to expand. How expansive was there respective land mass coverage during their reign? |
Boss13: Many of us are sycophanting for Fashola now and probably the next governor. However, I am astonished at how economic power is shifting to Abuja. The moment Financial Institution cite the head offices in Abuja, Lagos will cease being the economic power house of Nigeria. All I can notice in your comment so far is some sort of inconsistency and hatred for the state and the man Fashola. For anyone to claim that Lagos and Lagosians life has not changed since the inception of this administration gives credence to my earlier assertion as portrayed vividly by you. The fact of the matter, like someone stated earlier, is that Lagos is not there yet, but it is gradually getting there with this type of steady movement. By the way, I would not hold you responsible for myopic view of the situation, after all you don live in Lagos. So, you stand no better chance to comment about what's going on in Lagos, even after naptu2 took all the pain to put them through to you. |
Emekanews: Osueke, according to the police boss, had led the kidnap and subsequent murder of Esieme in a nearby community, killing also two police officers last February, after which he was said to have escaped to Lagos...and if Fashola come arrest and send am back to Imo now, dem go say na deportation. Always running to Lagos shaaaa |
Ngwakwe: The report forgot to mention the most heinous anti poor governance in Lagos State that have created poverty from wealth more than all Nigerian States combined. At the bolded. If you are actually educated like you want us to believe with this your post/comment, why not take the State Government to court on this "draconian legislation and authoritarian manipulation with no alternative"? People like you can never see the good in anything. I'm not surprised anyway. |
turl: offtopic mate, are you by any chance an old boy? (mbhs?)Yea! MBHS, Okota-Isolo, Lagos. 96/97 Set. And Not MBHS, Victoria Island, dude! |
Why is everybody's opinion so skewed towards the oil and gas companies as if anyone that studies mathematics would just stroll in and be given a job? Why is no one looking at the possibility of Epidemiology? Though, that sounds weird in this part of the world but I tell you... Well, I studied mathematics, graduated with a 3rd class but today I own my own consultancy firm in HSE, Risk Mgt & Public Health Research (Epidemiology option). |
Why not let ASUU call off the strike, witness the shake of hands across the table by representatives of both parties, with back slapping, before you start the celebration. Little wonder our politicians take us for a ride. All these years, you guys have not learn how to read the lips of those in government. Just yesterday, Chief Emeka Wogu (Minister of Labour) was quoted to have said Government can not implement the agreement they had with ASUU in 2009. Here you are rejoicing at the mere announcement that the minister should implement it. Well, na huna sabi. Me don do ma own comot. |
Centdonald1: Good argument but please! Where did you get these facts fromon sahara reporter: http://saharareporters.com/article/final-word-femi-fani-kayode-and-others-child-marriage |
If you tell a lie one hundred times, it does not become a truth, all it becomes is a lie told a hundred times. As Mahatma Gandhi said: An error does not become truth by reason of multiplied propagation, nor does truth become error because nobody sees it. |
