rastamouse: My dear you are very wrong. Each and every nation has the right to exist and that is exactly what the Jews are doing. They were displaced and came together after the Second World War. The world accepted them and they became a nation in 1948. Who the heck is Hamas to dispute that?..and which place is their original land, which spot in particular |
oilyngbati: GOD BLESS ISRAEL.I really don't know what to say, honestly I don't... |
Symphony007: Be carefull what you do in front of children. No matter how harmless. Stuff like loading the washing machine, putting something in the oven or microwave, putting on the cooker,etc...had a terrible experience with my nephew lately. Be warned. When you're doing something and a toodler is watching with interest, stop immediately or carry them away. Be careful. This is true, very true honestly, because one day you will just see his/her younger one in the even. After all, he saw mummy putting something in the oven. |
CaptainKodak: lol,ku orireE se o! Ire a kari. (Ameen) |
CaptainKodak: aii, wishing you success in d struggle to gaining admission. Thanks though but it's for my younger one; I'm far beyond that level: grad in '09, unilag, maths dept; hcc Harvard Univ; Public Health. |

Can someone help please? The registration portal for post utme is not working for me. said I should check jamb registration number and the number I have is correct. |
abatically: U people have started again with this racism thing. I don't know which match u watched but I saw boateng as much as I saw his center half partner hummels, and I heard his name as much as I heard Philip lahm. This is just an illusion from black people. Because he is the only black man on the pitch so whenever he is out of camera range u read meaning to it. Whenever they fail to mention his name u read meaning to it. Is this how much inferior we see ourselves? You get time to answer these ... I heard his name and saw him more than any other defender on the German side. |
highmey: ^^^Things are not always right here! Why?They are Mathematicians. |
dionysius: @onomeasike, its ur childish mind that cant comprehend what doctors want.At the bolded says a lot about you and your thinking faculty. Do you know the meaning of the acronym NASU? It means Non Academic Staff Union of Universities So, you mean someone who has been in the university administration for close to 30 years, who probably has also bagged a PhD, and has risen to the post of bursar cadre, for instance, cannot manage a university? This is where we are getting it wrong in this country. You see, it may only be necessary, but not sufficient, for an academic to be the Vice Chancellor of a University. Likewise, it is also not sufficiently necessary for the head of an hospital to be the overall head. |
Do I blame her no.........If she knew that what it took me to pass a test of five marks in medical school is the same as what it took her to pass a degree exam of 100 marksThat was your choice Mr. It's a matter of choice. Afterall, we all wrote the same JAMB What is keshi doing that he is demanding a salary of 10 million naira per monthAnd who is stopping you from applying for the job of Keshi? What did a senator read that his salary can foot the salaries of 25 professors of medicine [You can also join politics; PDP and APC are still selling their membership forms. If people knew that the fight to answer consultant by other medically inclined professions is simply a ploy to assume power Having another consultant In the hospital is the same as having two captains in a ship I will not blame funke she is trying to sell her newspaper by writing such a demeaning article to the people who can elongate the line between life and death after GODGod heals... Doctors care I don't expect funke to understand because unlike her I have to read 3 courses (anatomy, physiology, biochemistry) which lasts for about 15 years in just 18 months and am expected to be better than the person that reads just one of the aforementioned courses and yet such a person wants to assume a post that that takes a doctor an average of 25years to reachSo, that makes you a God over others, abi? That we have to now worship you. Nonsense! I won't blame funke because maybe in her world a footballer like Mikel can demand for the title of world best player just like messi and c ronaldo by just playing back passYour comparisons are not making sense at all. Why you too no go join team make you become footballer, abi na by force to be a doctor? |
I tried the one for MTN and it worked perfectly. In fact, they sent me a message that I would be removed from their database within 24 hours. Thanks a lot for this article. Please let me have that of glo, they are so annoying and fraudulent. |
loganx: basic principles of economics, provide simple and cheap housing for citizens.Very good point. |
pro01: Thank you very much. People who say the President and Commander-in-Chief does not have the power to remove the CBN governor are either clueless or mischievous. In countries like Nigeria, and much of the developing world (even in places like Russia), there are a million and one ways to by-pass the 'academic' measures put in place to preserve the supposed independence of institutions like the CBN or EFCC. It all boils bown to the temperament and will of the individual in power. We would have so much appreciate it if only you could at least share one of the ways a CBN Governor can be removed without resulting to the academic measures put in place... |
winniz: I said he should be given a Sack letter if he refuses to resign he should apply force. GEJ has the right to sack him after all OBJ sacked Ministers during his tenure and their was no process involved, so why would GEJs own be different?I wonder what kind and type of education children of now-a-days receive! So, in your mind ministers are the same with a CBN Governor? Didn't you read in the post the mode of appointing and removing a CBN Governor in Nigeria? Anyway, for your information, ministers and a CBN Governor are not in the same shoes; while the latter are political appointees, the former is a professional whose hand lies the economic success or otherwise of the nation. As a matter of fact, appointing a minister of finance as the economic coordinator does not really show a sense of sound judgement. Those in charge of monetary policy would have otherwise be in a better position. I stand to be corrected; i'm not laying claim to this knowledge. |
winniz: At Mynd 44It is not in my habit to castigate people on a social forum like this but you, this morning, will be an exception to the rule. Now, didn't you read in the post where it was said that it is only two-third majority of both houses (senate and rep) that can remove a CBN Governor? It appears you need glasses or at worst, you don't comprehend English. Be that as it may, is it a rocket science for you to learn and know that Central Bank Governors everywhere in the world are independent of the President? Mtchew, make i no waste my time with you. I know say na swell you go swell for me now. Olodo |
Ever since the issue of this letter came up, and going by the comments of fellow Nigerians I have came across at every fora, I think it is the politicians that need to stone us for being so daft and silly to have allowed them carry on like this. I'm not a fan of OBJ, neither am I that of GEJ. But if you ask me, I would say let us rather leave the messanger alone and deal with the message. In the same vein, according to former American president, George W. Bush, you don't criticize a sitting president, because the job at hand is enough worry for him. That is not to say we shouldn't point out his failures. GEJ should rather deal with the issues raised in the message and leave the messenger alone. I have not said anything new anyway. |
saleeh: We have 3 types of dreams:A Brother is in house. SalamAlykum.
|
vickyO: Some MFM members are in the house....Exactly. You can say that again! Mtchewwwwwwww |
I have always had this belief that President Goodluck EBELE Jonathan is not our problem per say, but the kind of people he surrounds himself with. These people don't mean well for him, walahi, they are actually there plotting his down fall- Okupe and Abati in particular. They never told the president the truth but only what he wants to hear, and that's treasonable. |
Ken_Jak: I think this is foolishness,is Mandela a Nigerian or from yorubaland? This makes no sense to me.Think Walter Carrington Crescent, where your brother go to line-up as early as 4am in order to obtain visa; Think about majority of the books you read from kindargarten to the university, which one was written by a yoruba man or someone from osogbo; Think about the laptop, ipad, iphone, android etc, that you used in typing this, which one was produced by someone from osogbo or a yoruba man; I can go on and on. I am a yoruba from Osogbo, 'ile okunmebo, via aresa, close to 'ita olokan', and i am not complaining. What is your own. |
toluxa1: Wikipedia Bad oo, it has been updated alreadyThey have already written it long ago. That's what they do for leaving legends. Pray they do same for you. Abi? |
dapachez: which schools were closed? Stop generalizing.Uniben for one was never closed down,I know that for a factNeither was UNILAG closed down. We have been here since the inception of the strike. Don't believe me? Come to Jaja Hall of Residence, Room 007A, I'm right here. |
Ameen56: Sure! I'm happy and in full of ASUU. Its high time we compel them to do the right even if they don't want. GEJ, it is a pity you sound innocent here and now pushing the matter on the shoulders of CVNU. Ignorants they are indeed not to realise that they're being used by you and your supporter. Pls stop telling us story and resort to meet ASUU request or you will be failing in discharging your constitutional responsibilities. Who knows what you have for Nigerians come January, 2014 uh! The experience of January, 2011 is still fresh in our memories. Those who follow this trend know exactly what I'm talking about. We are ready for you comes 2014 if that's what you want. Look around you and see what other countries that are not even up the feet of Nigeria are capable of and what we are asking is not too much for a country like Nigeria. So, Mr. GEJ, if you claim that you love Nigerians, students and parents as much as your emotion revealed then we expect you to take action and not shying from your responsibilities. Yes, that is it GEJ.In fairness, I don't think Mr President, Goodluck EBELE Jonathan is our problem. I think his advisers such as Madam Okonjo Iweala and the likes of Wike are the problem here and at some other instances. And their greatest undoing or crime, so to speak, is that they always throw away every opportunity for the President to warm himself into the heart of the people, just like during the fuel subsidy imbroglio. How wonderful would it have been had it been this ASUU issue was amicable resolved without resulting into all these blackmail and threats after the marathon meeting. That would have been a very strong political goal scored. Personally, I don't like the administrative style of Dr. Jonathan, particularly on his way of handling corruption matters. But he always miss every opportunity to win me to his side, which I want to believe may be happening to other people too. Dr Jonathan missed a very big opportunity to warm himself into the people's heart at every crisis. He needs to speak to the mind of the people at every opportunity. |
aluma: Is association of V.C fedral gvt ITKIt is only a fool that will believe that part of the story, about the VCs ordering lectures back to class or else they will be fired. Have you forgotten that the VC is also a member of before he became the VC, and after his tenure of five years of one term he will return to class to continue as a member of ASUU? I think another version of the story said it was the Pro Chancellors. The point is that it is the FG that is not ready to end the strike. If you read in between the lines, they are only trying to destroy ASUU's public sympathy which I think they have succeeded in doing or so it seems. If actually you entered into an agreement why not just ratify the agreement and move on?! |
This is my take on the matter: Was there an agreement between both parties? Yes Has that agreement been signed? No Who is delaying the signing? FG Did ASUU make new demands different from the agreement reached? No These are the questions that we need to consider. Thanks |
Okija_juju: One laptop per child was a dumb idea to start with.. It's like putting the cart before the horse.. The problem with our education is not the lack of laptops. How about we start with fixing the schools and sharing one set of complete textbooks per child. This is more like it. The whole thing is a fraud in the first place if students in Lagos public schools still lack simple furniture to work with. Anyway, it's a laptop, so they may not need furniture. It is reallly putting the cart before the horse. |
What does the labour law says about payment of salaries and wages during industrial action? If nobody has ask this question on this forum, then I'm the most sensible person here. 2. What will take the government and ASUU to sit down and clarify the grey areas of their agreement and ratify it? |
School Climate will solve the problem is no distant time. Please be on the watch out on this forum. School climate refers to factors that contribute to the tone and attitudes of staff and students in school. Positive school climate is associated with well-managed classrooms and common areas, high and clearly stated expectations concerning individual responsibility, feeling safe at school, and teachers and staff that consistently acknowledge all students and fairly address their behavior. source: http://alaskaice.org/school-climate/what-is/ |
lovat: There is no diffrence betwwen Islamic loans and other conventional loans. In the normal bank loans interest is stated while in Islamic loan interest is added up with the principal. For example if u want to make a high purchase of a goods worth #30000 in normal banking the goods will be sold with let's say a 10% interest which makes it #33000 while in Islamic banking the cost of the goods for high purchase will go outrightly for #33000. It ll now be spread over to seem as if there is no interest attached to it.You got it wrong. As for the conventional bank that charges interest, please be informed that your interest increase with time as againts the Islamic finance where, actually, that's your cost price, which you are expected to pay over the specified period of time. |
To those of you who are castigating Fashola, have you ever wondered that why is it always Fashola on this forum? Is my State Gorvernor not there? Why are people not talking about him too, good or bad? It simply means that something is not happening in my State. That's the way I see it. I mean, this is my view of the situation. |
