oloriooko: this is the reason for continous violence by some people that label themselves muslims with the slightest clue that when you say you worship the Most High God who tolerated you inspite of your countless mistakes, i think not talking to your team mate for this act is an obvious sign that Ribery does not know who he worships.I really don't make comments when it comes to religious matter but I'm compelled to react to your comment by your share show of irresponsibility by calling Ribery shame. First of all, did you take your time to watch the attached video clip? If you did, was there anywhere in the video that suggest that Frank was furious? Come to even think of it, could it have been a crime for someone to be averse to some certain things, isn't it a person right to get angry at some certain acts of others? If your holy books debar you from doing certain things, and someone knowing fully well that you profess such religious belief, and still went ahead to treat you to the contrary, would you have loved that? You see I understand your problem and frustration, it has a name: BH. The attitude of a few has so much beclouded your mind that you now move about with hatred for Muslims. You are not the only one in the band wagon of shame, so many people of your likes are also in this. But I don't blame you, not at all. A Yoruba adage say: "Omo osan, lon ko ponpo ba'ya e". I corver my face in shame for you that despite your education, you can not use your good sense of judgement in making comment. I feel pity for those that sacrificed a whole lot for you to be educated if this how you want to pay them back. |
thoth: Many people do not understand the implication of the UN statement, Looking at what happened in Libya when islamic extremist were armed by the west to topple and destroy the nation, Syria where the same extremists are trying to topple and destroy the nation and were openly funded by the West, Mali where extremists as well were tying to establish a foothold and were covertly funded and trained by Israel and USA. You could see that as soon as these groups were activated for a stated objective the western media changes it stance from Terrorist to rebels and then onward to a sort of Goverment Oppositions instead of the Terrorist that they are, the situation becomes deliberatly disfigured from a terrorist mayhem to what the western media likes to call a Civil war, thereby granting them the rights of enemy combatant instead of being judged by law when captured as terrorists. You are correct bro. I hope everyone on this forum will not be blinded by religious and ethnic bigotry in order to kick against this covert war by the press just like you rightly described above. And like I kept on asking, how come JTF don't arrest some of this people? I don't think merely killing the so called BH boys will alienate them. There should also be arrest too for intelligent purpose so that we may be able to get to the root cause of the problem. Thank you. |
Buc: During the Boston bombing suspect chase the world media was showing it to us, the Libyan civil war also and we are still getting daily footage from Syria (how be it) censored. But, Nigeria own go different, the jets no go carry camera(if truely we get battle worthy jets), to show us the bombing. After, the next thing go be billions of Nigerian money wey the operation chop. Govt no go fit tell us the origins of the boko members and how them take they get their supplies and support, we no go hear any conclusive investigation on whether Qatar and Saudi follow they support their sunni brethren or the Imam wey be Usman Dan Fodio wey send them message. At the bolded: I have been thinking in that direction too! In fact, you took it our of my mouth. How come we have never seen the footage of this fighting and bombing, not even from international media houses like Aljazeera and CNN? Another thing that baffles me is that how come the JTF don't get some of these people arrested and show us their faces? Is it only by killing? I don't think just killing them would solve the problem o! Just the killing of Osamah has not totally alienate Al-Qaeda. If nothing at all, they should at least show us the Fighter Jets and Gunship Helicopters, with the battle ready Nigerian Army. |
Krasid: WE ARE STILL THE GREATEST CLUB IN THE WORLD.YEA! WE ARE: LOSE OR WIN |
Dospix: I personally do not have any problem with you, but i am greatly disappointed by your method of criticism...Insulting Gej wouldn't solve the problem at all, rather constructively criticizing his government makes us true democrat. I am not happy with the president, but insulting him wouldn't change things. Let us try to act like intellectuals which we are. truly, your comment sounded really childish(sorry if i sound insulting).I honestly do not see anything wrong in the guy's first statement in the first place and there was no where he mentioned that GEJ was corrupt; you were the one that invented that. You actually derailed this thread. Someone simply and rightly berated the Justice Minister for not appropriately advising his boss and you take that for an insult. By the way, it is most appalling to see you peeps on each other's kneck rather than contributing positively. Take or leave it my friend, you did not do well. |
integrobreed: pliz u ppl shud pray 4 me. am a corp member servin here in daura. d heat is on. so much shootings..i pray on your behalf ... God will save you. He's Watching ... Keep us updated. |
Neo-XVI:Nigerians and our double standard. In fact, I have quietly copied the link to the former thread where everyone was lambasting ACN Lai Muhammed for faulting GEJ's action on SoE thing. don't worry, time will tell. I think with this SoE thing, we ought to see the end of BH within the next six months, otherwise, I think SoE, particularly without total control by the military by removing the DEMOCRATICALLY ELECTED OFFICIALS (THROUGH CONSTITUTIONAL MEANS) is a failure. |
Ogbonaikenna: I smell civil warCivil War between who and who? At the last check, I can't see any of the three major tribes being at each other's throat. So, it's civil war between who and who ... Nigeria and BH? O rue! |
Blasphemy in Indonesia carries a maximum sentence of five years, though minors usually face half the adult sentence and are locked up in juvenile detention facilities. The girls are in grade 12, where students are normally aged 17 or 18.. Come to think of it, if commentators had taken their time to ponder on the points above, may be they wouldn't have been the type of comments being witnessed here. But every one knows the level of hatred an average Nigerian have for Islam, particularly as a result of the BH issue. It's quiet unfortunate |
I hope this thread will be kept open in the archive so that, may be in 4 to 6 months time we may come back to review if this SoE has actually worked or not. In as much as I commend the Presidency for taking this action, I however berate them for not suspending the whole democratic machinery of the state. Not suspending the whole democratic machinery of the state amounts to merely declaring a curfew and sending more troops to the place. That's how I see it. |
takeprofit: so, who wld be responsible for administering the finance of the state? what if these politicians used state money to finance terrorism?Yes, it is possible. As a matter of fact, leaving them in their places will give them the opportunity to do more harm than good |
firetrap: if a military administrator had been put in charge, come 2015 there would not be elections in those states cos the governors would not have served out their terms of office. so it was a wise move to leave the governors in office with little or no powers at all and grant the military sweeping powersat the bolded; i don't think it operates that way. though i'm not sure |
truth4meal: PRESIDENT GOODLUCK EBELE JONATHAN, GCFRI don't buy the bolded ... it means partial SoE |
slap1: Maybe driving passengers and an empty bus is not the same, and the guy wants to learn how to drive passengers.this is more like it; and have seen such with red brt buses, though without passengers. you know, they are two different things entirely; driving with or without passengers. @op, you no get sense at all. should have thought about that before. it's not everything and every time you come online to rubbish government. |
Fussbot: Is dis also a bad habit??cus me dey do am wela..anywia sefeven Messi too does it, so what's the big deal |
Texas.Cowgirl:I trust you; very stubborn. If no be say night don come, i know say you no go gree. Tough Skin Mama LOL! |
fckyourman: Why must we copy everything.and see reply below goldfish80: Theres no copy here oga, these franchise have their talent hunts spread out to so many countries like UK,USA,Australia,SA to name α few. You should be glad Naij Iڪ getting on the map of EntertainmentHmmmm, be glad? Aren't all these a distraction to our able bodied booming youths? Look my friend, we've gotten a situation on our hands. All these things were not created for just the fun of it; by the time we realise what has hit us, I pray it's not too late. You know what, every young person now wants to be the next Iyanya; Chidinma; Moses; Omawunmi; Timi Dakolo, and the list goes on. Pray, is this how a society grows? Back to the earlier times in the United State, when slave trade was abolished, the American Government then pump money and fame into sports and the entertainment industry and encouraged the blacks to dominate this areas, while the whites were the ones going to school, making all the ground breaking discoveries. Do you wonder why it is mostly blacks that rule the airwaves and sporting arenas in America before now? That's the gist. But in the end, it is still the same Government and the press with which the hyped and propelled such people to the top that they will use to bring them down at the height of their career: Mike Tyson; Tiger Woods; and a host of others. My point is, all this programme are a get rich quick madness that we can not gain any sustainable economic benefit from. So, the person that said we are copy cats (and always copying the wrong thing) may not be wrong. And we aren't loosing out in anything like you claimed if we don't take part. We are only out a big deal by our blind copy-copy attitude. |
Ceveat Emptor: This Space is Not for Sale, Beware of 419 and my son Seun, I'm coming back to make my comment. |
Gombs: I wanted to say you are stoopid, but then I read tru d rules n decided not to call you stoopidyou are just being over zealous and shows that you don't have home training. what has he said that makes him to be called stupid. as a matter of fact, you are the one showing sign of stupidity here: who told you that the Governor is the chief security officer of a state in nigeria? Even if it is on paper, haven't you read that the CP does not answer to the Governor? Next time, learn to respect other people's opinion. |
wahihi: He will not go back to any hole, G E J must go back for his second tenure whether the devil like it or not.Height of obsession! You are obsessed with GEJ, that's your problem. The same offence you are accusing the North for; sight-tight. |
spikes C: I totally hate this about the reps. Are they trying to say JAMB don't know there job or what. Or that people really didn't fail.. that makes sense, a whole lot of sense |
God pickin: So what if he said so, how is it treasonable case, Pls the dude has every right to express himself, he dared them cos he knows he did nothing, where's freedom of speech? So because he's an izon Muslim he shouldn't talk, cut me some slack people. He's on point here. Even as much as I detest jonathans pattern of governance. Alhaji u rock....speak on...so, you call that 'freedom of speech' ? Did you do social studies in secondary or primary school? I pity those that sacrificed for you to be educated; bad and wrong investment indeed! |
This is not a joking matter, believe me. 95 police men?! is this another BH in the making? I tell you, it appears the amnesty given to the ND boys and the continued sustenance in the name of rehabilitation, coupled with the planned amnesty and compensation for BH is an incentives for other groups to spring up. This is how BH started, attacking police and their station. Before you know it now, this ones too will start crying for amnesty. And if you think amnesty has not been given to the yoruba group not to raise their own millitants too, then find out what causes quarrel between Fredrick Fasehun and Gani Adams recently |
Find Out!:As a matter of fact, this is exactly what he said: "The PDP and the presidency issued the statements in reaction to comments attributed to Mr. Buhari on Monday where he said the Nigerian government, led by President Goodluck Jonathan of the ruling PDP, is more deadly than the extremist Boko Haram sect and that any attempt to rig the 2015 election would be firmly resisted. |
Lanspower: Why do you think Jonathan must be re-elected and when has re-electing a president become what a single man will force on millions of people? Why cant he wait for Goodluck's scorecard as a president to get him another term? That silly Asari needs to go back to prison where he belongs and your head really needs a through examination by a combination of native doctors and psychiatrists your gbagaun says it all...That's what we call Asari-Cracy ala NigeriaMadness in political science. |
dayokanu: Can you quote where Buhari said he would make the country ungovernableI have kept on asking this question myself; not even Doyin Okupe could answer it. I need a proof that Buahri actually said that |
jackbauersballs: Nigeria is a joke...and to imagine that the press conference was held in Abuja beats my imagination |
outrage: Why not add other religion.Well, you are correct to a great extent. Seun should have included other religion in the first place. And no sane Muslim castigate other people's religion, particularly chritianity because doing so will make them commit an offence against God, which was brought about by the person that initiated it as an 'agent provocateure' and he will share greater part of the sin. |
hardbody: You are a dummy. May his fate befall you in the name of whatever you believe in. It is nincompoops like you that encourage people to perpetuate injustice. The man is claiming what is his right and you are talking about death. Infact, even if he were to be dead, his rights will still not be extinguished, his survivors could and should push for those rights. maggots like you make me sick to the pith of my stomach.I like the bolded; very correct, and the more reason why 'by gone' should not be 'by gone' |
ebamma: So anyting that comes from americans is now fact abi, am a man and i hate to see babies cry, if i see one crying i usually try to make funny faces and play with him till he stops cryingYou are right my brother. I can stand anything about any baby but their cry. It pinches me. Especially the one call 'rin-rin' in yoruba; where the baby will just be crying non-stop for no clear cut reason. Anyway, it's a research of a sample of men and women, so it couldn't have been 'generalisable' to every man. There be a + or - something to the result. I know because I'm an epidemiologist. |
kulyie: great ifee be like say all this Ife grads no get job. hardly can you see any akokite shouting great akokite on this land. na only great ife everywhere. na wa o! |
rezzy: I will advice my husband-to-be to get a king size bed, if not, he will keep seeing himself on the floor because i sleep as if i want to fight taekwondo.Area Girl lol ![]() |
