@4Play I agree! These Igbo people are shaming Nigeria with their criminal dealings.Their greed is unparrelleled and has led them to become Nigeria's top purveyors of criminalityCan you honestly swear with your life that there are more Igbo boys involved in odu in London than Yoruba boys. While there could be more Igbo boys involved in fraud in US cos there are more igbos in US in London no tribe rivals the Yorubas cos there are more Yorubas. The messeage is simple Nigerians generally are involved in fraud so let no one try to call any tribe. |
I hope he looses at supreme court on monday, but if he wins then so be it. He will contest. |
@ Afam For so many reasons I am a fan of OBJ and have no regrets about it, I am ready to state this anywhere no matter what happens in Nigeria today. But then some of his grass roots politics in states like Anambra and Oyo, are simply appauling, they nullify everything he stands for on the national scale and I have no doubts in my mind that 10years down the line when OBJ looks back in history the Ubas and Adedibu's will constitute his regrets. There is simply no way you can absolve OBJ of the happenings in Anambra, yes people who have connections in high places use their position to influence things without the consent of the President but that of Anambra was too glaring. If OBJ is not to be blaimed for his actions in Anambra on the grounds that he may not have passed those orders, he must be blaimed for his inactions when we saw the height of illegality. Rapheal Ige the then AIG of Umahia zone, who was to naturally retire 1 month latter from the police, was not chosen to lead the assualt on Ngige by accident. Yet after the crime he commited against the people of Anambra and the Nigerian State he was sacked from police with all his pensions and benefits intact. (whats the difference sacking a man who was to retire 1month later if he will have all his retirement entitlements). Ngige as it were then who was the chief security officer of his state was abducted, there were speculations that he was even slapped by Chuma Nzeribe. Yet OBJ did not see the need for using his position to curtail the excesses of Chris Uba. Ngige's security details and police attachement were all withdrawn during this Saga, you can not tell me Chris or Andy gave Tafa Balogun that order. Chris Uba testified before the court of law to have rigged elections and he was not arrested or even prosecuted for electoral fraud. He was rather given the trophy of PDP board of trustees member. I am a fan of OBJ because he stood up against some bossom friends, who think the future of this country should be compromised in the name of respecting some comraderie that exist between them but then in Anambra he has done the very opposite. Why is OBJ standing up against IBB and yet will not encourage an Ngige for standing up against the Ubas ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ??That question I have never been able to answer, though I still love OBJ but Anambra and Oyo remains his biggest mistakes. |
Backslider:I think there is some element of truth in this. |
They should go and train there own election authorities, after all the election that brought BUsh to power was rigged |
Even if Andy shoots his brother that is there problem, they are both bad news |
along which lines will the war be fought ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ??Some villages, cousins, brothers have supporters scattered among the parties. In some families Big brother dey support AC, younger brother dey support PDP My brother if war breaks out as a result of election then know this country is simply looking for excuse to have one. |
Frankly I honestly can not believe US still being confident to interfere in other world affairs after the monumental failure in Iraq. Though sometimes it is the fault of Nigerian media, cos I dont understand how a Senator in America will give his personal opinion and the Nigerian media will interprete that as the position of US. It is like Jonathan Zwingina commenting on politics of America, and some newspaper will pick that up and hope to use that to coarse the Government of America. |
If they work harder they will get the presidential treatment |
I wonder too o, my brother. As of the last time I checked, Obasanjo is still the commander-in-chief of the entire armed forces of Nigeria.I dont get it, we are practicing presidential system of government and any proposition or policy made by the president if accepted by the legislature it becomes law. We have simply gone mad in this country. Whoever wakes up they begin to define democracy and rule of law as they so wish. |
People are just misusing the expression "rule of law" |
I should be telling you that, because you have not explained why you are so desperate to see the end of Ribadu who is only in his forty's running one of the few effective agencies in this country. |
Is it a crime to want things to be done accordingly? It is not a crime to want a new start but it becomes suspicious to in the name of having a new start want the elimation of the very symbol that represent that new start while being confortable and tolerating what reprents the old system. |
Big B1:Every now and then your keyboard keep betraying you, You have said it all. You are criticizing Ribadu for the sake of it otherwise tell me how any person in their right senses will be criticizing one of the few Government agency that works in a society where government institutions are synonmous to failure. No matter how you fantasize about being more intelligent than everyone else or keep calling others names it does not take away the fact that your argument is so misguided. Hate it or love it the underdogs are on top, the game of those who want bussiness as usual is up. The New Nigeria you keep proposing does not want to see Ribadu but very happy to see the return of IBB (even Orji Kalu is modest enough to accept that our nation need the services of Ribadu)Absolutely Ludicrous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
Personally I think making him IG in may will even shorten the amount of time he has to serve this Nation, we need people like him in office for a long time so that he will help new breed of Nigerians. He is one man who goes after anybody no matter their language or religion, once he said "in Zamfara I am called a pagan because am after the Governor, when I went after Gwandi they say because I am Fulani and he is Kanuri, in Admamawa my home state they call me a traitor because I went after Atiku who is my brother, in the south some people claim am protecting the interest of muslims, Opposition parties say am silencing them yet we have gone after more PDP men" whose interest are we actually protecting he querried ![]() ![]() ![]() ?.I believe every aspect of that statement. |
software:Educated and hardwork my foot, yet the Nigerian Police is in a mess ![]() ?Man this is the advent of a new revolution that will see the mass retirement of all those good for nothing pot bellied men that will not allow anything work in Nigeria. I just hope they dont work with opposition to rig against PDP so as to save their job. |
Please get it straight, I like the fact that the wish of imposing Ugwu did not prevail but lets be objective here. PDP did not disobey supreme court order, because they did not go on to ask INEC to recognise Ugwu instead of Ararume. Supreme court rule that ararume won the election, but what they can not do is to compell the PDP to take part in elections if they dont wish to. So they purseued their wish within the confines of the law, lets be clear about this so that no one begins to take the law in their own hands. |
Brother I simply ask you to remove the wool in your eyes before you ask us to see, why not campaign against failing institutions like NDLEA, Police, ICPC, Customs, Immigration and loads of them. Why campaign against one of the few system working and the man at the vanguard of the war. You can as well start another campaign against NAFDAC You intentions are suspect It is that simple |
The Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, may have been tipped to take over from Sunday Ehindero as the next Inspector-General of Police.GOD BLESS THE GEOVANI FALCONE OF OUR NATION MALLAM NUHU RIBADU |
@BigB1 Your argument simply does not hold water, Mr Ribadu's job is in no way like an astronauts job. His job is by no means rocket science. As a matter of fact EFCC is as good as ICPC except for the dedication of Ribadu we would not have known of its existence just like some people might not know NDLEA. There are loads of other agencies that are like EFCC that all report to the National Security Service. You will not even compare the importance of Ribadu's office to that of the Inspector General of Police. Yet he is making in-roads in the anti-corruption war. Tell me honestly, lets say hypothetically that if you were a teacher in some school you will demote the best student in your class to a lower class to send out the right signals to other students who performed poorly merely because on the average the class did not do well. There are loads of other government agencies that are synonmous to failure you are not talking about them, why EFCC that is the only source of hope for a better tomorrow, why the man at the vanguard of this war. Probably I should have asked your definition of "failure of EFCC", I have always told you this before and I will say it again you can not talk about failure of Ribadu until you show us one innocent person in EFCC net. Talking about opposition in this country and EFCC hounding them down, the most legimate opposition in this country right now is Buhari because he stood against OBJ in the last election. I dont remember EFCC harrasing Buhari because he simply has no questions to answer. Ken Nnamani has lately become OBJ's pain in the ass EFCC is not going after him because he simply has no questions to answer. Mimiko was threatened with EFCC but yet he was not attacked because he has no questions to answer. people should stop designing unexistent immunity for themselves each time they realise the EFCC is closing in on them by picking up quarells with OBJ in the hope to claim they are being persecuted for their political views. BigB1 in fact I challenge you to come out open and tell us what you honestly have against Ribadu, cos you are simply moving in circles. |
@Debosky Please don't reduce this argument to pro or anti third term as Ararume himself was a front line supporter of third term. I don't understand how long people will keep refering to third term. People should stop trivialising the real issues in the name of third term debate. |
![]() Those dreaming of the end of Ribadu, sorry the man has been elevated to AIG. |
I don't doubt it because they threatened to do that last week. But the messeage should be clear to PDP, that Imo State will rather burn down than put up with the sort of politics played in Anambra. The Casino mentality is unacceptable. |
Building structures sometimes is not necessarily about having money. The problem in Nigeria is as soon as elections are over the opposition just disappear and then reconvene on the eve of another election. You simply cant unsit the ruling party like that, its not possible. What the opposition should do after this election is to maintain the structures they have in place now, go to the grass roots connect to the people while preaching the message of hope, bringing to their awareness the smallness of our politics and why we need to turn the chapter, attack government draconian policies while lending themselves as a voice to the people. With that the people will have someone to trust and when its time for elections the masses can even contribute as little as N100 each to support a cause they believe in. Not after election they will all go to sleep, in the hope to wake up one week to election to form rainbow alliance against PDP, it wont get them anywhere. As it is our election is simply a choice between a couple of evils and Nigerians simply dont know who to trust. When the PDP wins again people will start wasting their time and resources in courts when they have not done their homework very well. |
e be like say Turaki don open his purse again, Lai Mohamed don come out from his shell to continue his propaganda. He went underground when Atiku sealed the purse last week ![]() |
@Tonim Nigeria has Uranium deposits, even enough to commercialize They have been found in states like Taraba, and some other northern states and a few southern states. |
Nigeria should tackle hunger first |
this is simply like engaging osuofia in a political debate ![]() nigeria1 is simply a comedian |
@chidicris IMO state people are not very loyal. The state will rather burn down than someone to foist a candidate on the people from far away Abuja. Charlse was not the first, They initially wanted to impose Festus Odimegwu on the people it did not work, they tried the Orange drugs man that one failed now it is Charlse Ugwu. I am not a fan of Ararume and can't guess what his government will be like but just know that politics of Imo is bigger than any individual. We don't do Godfathers in Imo State. Even if Ararume did not win the case at the courts, if the people of Imo don't want Charlse Ugwu not even the UN secretary general will impose him on the people. Ararume won a landslide victory in PDP primaries. |
Can someone please interprete what nigeria1 is getting at, I have read it 3x and can't figure out his point. The scorecard of lagos state present administration simply has nothing to do with the issue of debate which is that Koro obtained another country's nationality an act which makes him ineligible to stand for guber elections in Nigeria. |
Probably a new government will give him a second term if they need his service or may be the gist about him being the next IGP is not wrong afterall. |
