Yes thanks... I am the last child, my first two siblings are independent and the third child( the one I’m following) will be finishing her masters this September ending, she is not yet married though.

Do I need to add any document to proof that she will be done this September? Should I use her admission letter or just stating the info above on my sop is enough? Also do my other siblings do I need to put proof?
Stating it in your SOP should do, but as for your brothers if you can get proof of them working it el be great, but if not just state it and you will be fine . Try to include their international passport data page or birth certificates if you can.

Hello guys,

Please I would like to know, if someone has a fully funded PhD scholarship (tuition plus stipends for living expenses), will the person still need a sponsor to support his application for study permit?
Not really, but if you can show money for at least your flight from Nigeria to Canada it will go a long way to helping your app

Thank you Sir for your response.. I have emailed the admission team already.. just expecting their response though I will put a call through later today.
You are welcome. Just politely tell them the reason you didn't defer on time was because you thought CIC will approve your application before the deadline. Make sure you tell them you don't mind starting next September (2020), that way you stand a better chance of getting a new offer letter for same course which you will later send to CIC when they request for new offer letter(though some schools will ask you to pay another admission fee, but like I said "SOME " schools). Good luck

Hello @Justwise,

I humbly wish to appeal the case of AYOOLA03 a pioneer member of this honourable thread who you recently banned from contributing on the thread for couple days now. She has extensively explained to me the reasons behind her dismissal from the thread. Thus, I would like to inform you that AYOOLA03's intentions of coming back here is solely to assist applicants whose visas were rejected and weren't ulterior as you perceived. She is only using this medium as a way of giving back to the thread and also to further guide prospective/future applicants the right step to follow once they arrive Canada so they won't make same costly mistakes she had made when she arrived Canada.

@Justwise, I can understand that we have had sad experiences on this thread in the past where a particular moniker (I won't mention names due to reasons best known to me), began to dupe people of their hard earned money all in the name of assisting them to order for their GCMS notes within Canada.

Since then, it has been a principle on this thread that applicant's should be responsible in getting their GCMS notes after a visa rejection and no room for advertisement of third party GCMS websites on the thread.

Sadly cry, Ayoola03 is not well-informed about the changes on the thread, due to her long time of having participated on the thread. I have adequately explained to her about the terms and conditions governing this reputable platform and she has totally admitted as well as promised never to go contrary to any of the rules again.

As a consequence, I sincerely appeal that Ayoola03 should be given the chance to contribute her quota on this thread, as her valuable experiences in Canada would be of utmost importance in enabling this thread and it's members flourish. Ayoola03 intention of coming back to this thread is genuine and not the other way around.

Thanks as I await a favourable consideration of my request.

High Regards,
Frankrobben1
@justwise please look into this ASAP. Thanks in advance

Does the below line mean that those with three-year bachelor's degree in computer science can't apply?

Not all countries offer four years of study for a bachelor's degree. Some are three years. Are graduates from those countries ineligible to apply?

See screenshot below
Don't worry about that, you can apply for the said program. This is one of the reasons why transcripts are requested, because it shows all the courses you took throughout your bachelor's degree program. Don't worry, you are good to go as long as you meet the grade requirement.

Ur best bet is to plead with them to start Sept 2020, I really don't understand what u meant by u can't defer, like deferring to Sept 2020 isn't open to u or what? I think going for another course at this time will definitely affect u negatively, try get an updated offer letter for next yr Sept and look at it from the brighter side, u have ample time to prepare for ur travel... that's just my problem with paying tuition bfor visa, the long story that follows no be here, u will never gt ur money back 100%,God knows my next application, I'm not paying shishi, if VO isn't ok seeing it in my account then he never intended giving me visa at the first place, not wasting any unnecessary money no more since it makes no difference, if they gonna reject after the whole reassuring with tuition payment then what's the point? once bitten, twice shy.
He had the opportunity to defer but didn't do that, he requested for it after the deadline (so the school have every right to turn down his request at this point). All he can do now is plead with them and tell them he didn't defer because he felt CIC will attend to him before resumption (though we all know he made a very big mistake). All I see is someone being too in a hurry to travel and failing to do the right thing at the right time. What he would have done first was immediately his first app was denied he should have deferred his admission (when he still had time) even before reapplying for TRV, but instead he reapplied in July and failed to do the other important aspect of deferring his admission. Also him trying to look for another program that starts in January instead of contacting the admission office to plead with them about letting him start in September 2020 shows he is yet to learn from his mistake.
I hope he settles down and do the needful this time

Thanks but I’m a bit confused.

Are you suggesting that (1) I use my most active account to apply then my dad just states in his sponsorship letter that he moved the money to my account OR (2) he should use his most active account bank statement to show the funds for sponsorship?

Your write up sounds like two suggestion but I’m not sure if that want you want to put across.
What I am trying to say is this:
Use your most active account to apply and your dad needs to state that he has transferred the funds to you(you also need to explain that in your SOP )....doing this will let the vo know that the fund is readily available and also it will clear the issue of lump sum.
Secondly, even if you dad transfers the funds for your study to you or pay your tuition fee, he still needs to submit his own statement of account and other sources of income to show that he can sponsor you beyond your first year and at the same time take care of other family members (his dependants) back in Nigeria.
Get it now?

hello gurus in the house, I'm in state of dilemma right now..my first application was refused base on financial grounds, I made up the deficiency and applied immediately on the 24th July through online route. I'm yet to get a response from CIC and classes has started since 4 Sept.
I have contacted one of the school student advisor, explained my situation and my intention to defer the admission to January intake since I may not likely to meet up. He replied that the defer date has passed and my program/course doesn't offer winter admission. I would have to wait till September 2020 If I really want to attend. He also encouraged me to check up with the admission team to know options available for me.
Here are my concerns;
I have already paid 1yr tuition fee and the deadline date of resumption/ withdrawal is 18 Sept. And I will lose 5% of tuition fee If I ask for refund now classes has started.
Would I be able to get my study permit approval before the aforementioned date??
Secondly, I read it somewhere that one can get a new offer letter before the expiration of the formal and send it to CIC to enable them decide base on the current situation. So, I'm considering applying for a new program that is available in January to enable me get new offer letter I can send to CIC. Do you guys think this will fly through?? Is there any possibility or way I can contact CIC and make them hasten up and reach a positive decision on my application??
Thirdly, I have not contacted the admission team yet, I was just composing mail to them before I decided to come here and share with you guys first.
Finally, I'm hoping & trusting God of eleventh hour to decide my case. I can't wait to share a mind blowing testimony here..

Pls your suggestion and advice would be well appreciated @Frankbb1@Qudkom @Justmellow. And many other gurus in the house. thank you all in anticipation.
I just hope this your rush rush won't hurt you later. Why did it take you that long to contact your school to ask for your admission to be deferred? Knowing fully well that they have a deadline(all schools do). Also, before making any payment always make sure you know their refund policy before doing such(in this case you might end up lossing 5% of your fee which is sad).
That said, to your first question. you applied on the 24th of July(which is about 6 weeks old). You can only email CIC if you think your app has exceeded the processing time, but in your case it hasn't. My advice to you is tell the school you will like to resume next September (2020) as with that there's a high possibility your tuition fee will still be intact (though contact them to get first hand info on that).
Secondly, you can only get a new offer letter (for your first program)only when you defer your admission (i.e the school accepting that you can start with them next September). As for applying for a different program that will commence in January 2020, it isn't a bad idea but how related is that program to the previous one you applied for TRV for? Because if it isn't related then CIC will bounce your app. In fact with the stage your app is now CIC will only ask for an updated offer letter (same offer letter you applied with) as the resumption date has passed(the old one has more or less expired).
You should have contacted the admission team long before now (long before school resumed), but all the same let them know you had issues with your visa and you thought CIC will approve it before resumption that's why you didn't bother to defer your admission on time, but that as it is now you don't mind starting in September 2020. Also that you will need an updated offer letter from them so you can send it to cic when they ask for it .
At this point, all you need now is patience , if you don't want to miss out on 5% of your money then be looking at September 2020 (same school, same program)....but email the admission department immediately to know if they can do that for you
Good luck

I am using my dad as my sponsor, he has an account he had set aside for my education ( the account is in his name and he had set it aside for my undergraduate studies in Turkey), he will use the same account for my postgraduate studies but the account does not have much inflow and outflow ( I came back after my undergraduate studies in 2018 so the account has not been used).

* when I came back I did nysc and I finished this year so throughout there was no use for the account*

Will that be an issue since he moved money thrice into it after I told him of my admission( we plan on explaining the money movement in his sop) OR should he send the bulk money to me and I will use my bank statement to apply?

Will submitting a bank statement of the account he set aside for my studies fly ?
Also he sent the tuition fee to my uba to pay but I couldn’t pay using uba so I moved the money to GTBank( never used it since I came back to Nigeria , I only recently used it for the tuition payment). if he moves the money to my uba there will be no record of tuition payment from the Uba account, if he sends it to my GTBank, it will be a bulk amount since the only transaction in the last one year is only the recent tuition payment.

Please which is a better way to go?

Thanks
Use your most active account to apply then explain that you had to move the money to your other account to enable you pay your tuition (since you couldn't do that with the more active account). Also, since you dad transferred the funds to your active account, all he needs to do is explain in his letter of support that he has showed commitment by paying the said funds into your personal account.
Since the account opened for your study carries your dad's name and it hasn't been active for a while, let your dad just use his own personal account that is active to show proof of funds that he can sponsor you beyond your first year.
NB: I just hope I made sense to you because I am rushing out and needed to address this

4. Yes it will, but they will have to show commitment by paying the funds to your personal account or better still pay your tuition fee before you apply for TRV
5. No specific format, use what you have
6. Yes it will go a long way, also you can include family

Cool, your application will be approved soon. Once they defer your admission they will send you another offer letter, that's what you will send to CIC when they ask for an updated offer letter (cos they will surely ask for it since the one you submitted would have expired when your TRV will be ready)

Hi @makano,

You have been wonderful on this thread. I've been reading your responses to queries for some time now and they have been very insightful. However, your response on this enquiry is not totally correct.

Speaking from experience, I applied for my study permit when my EE profile was active and my permit was granted. In addition, my hubby also got his work permit approved at the same time.

I understand that Canada operate a Dual Intent Policy that allows you to apply for a study permit or tourist visa while you have an active EE profile. The policy allows them to take decisions independently.

My view though, gurus in the house can correct me if I'm wrong.

No hard feelings bro, cheers!
Yes they allow dual intent but they recently denied someone TRV because he had EE profile (I felt so so SAD for the guy). CIC sometimes can be unpredictable and it is sad, they aren't consistent with their so called rules sometimes

I applied for a Canadian student permit since the first week in June, did my biometrics almost immediately and after about a month, I received a notification to go for a medical exam.

I immediately booked an appointment with one of the IRCC registered hospitals in Lagos - International Migration for Organization Hospital (IMOLagos) and went for my medical exam.

I received a text message from the hospital within 2 days confirming that my medical result had been sent to the IRCC.

A month after I was instructed by the IRCC to go for my medical exam, I got a message on my IRCC profile page stating that they did not receive my medical exam yet.
I immediately went to the IMO hospital to make inquiries where they showed me evidences that the had indeed sent my result to the IRCC embassy.

Because medical exams sent to the IRCC are valid for a whole year, the hospital doesn't have the option of resending the results (IRCC policy) not even the option of taking another exam.

The hospital gave the printed evidence that the results of the exam had been sent and also gave me the email address of the Lagos immigration office - [lagosimmigration@international] asking me to send the scanned copy of the evidence to that email.
I have since then (first week in August) done all that along with visiting the Visa office in Lagos but no progressive response of any sort has come out yet.
The hospital and Canadian visa office claim to have no other way of reaching the Canadian embassy except via emails so that is the only means of communication I can afford.
I need advice on what to do to resolve this as soon as possible as school is set to be in session within a couple weeks.
Keep sending emails to CIC. Send to their Lagos, Nairobi, and any other offices you know.

If your school accepts tuition fee payment before you apply for visa and they have a good refund policy then your company should pay using their account and state it in their letter of support that they have paid and state the date the transaction was made(with proof of receipt), but if the school's refund policy isn't cool then let the company pay the money into your account and state it in their letter that they have paid the money into your account.

2. I studied civil engineering in my Bsc and ive practiced for 4 years. am also applying for structural steel management and detailing (Co Op) Conestoga college which is more practically related to my course and practice. pls which other supporting documents would you advice i have and any other best advice you can offer. i have also written my SOP as well. Thanks to all the gurus doing a great work here. GOD WILL REWARD YOU GUYS ABUNDANTLY.
As long as the company pays the said CAD7500 into your personal bank account you are good, but if they don't then it won't fly. The company is a third party, so they need to show commitment by paying the money to your account or better still pay towards your tuition.
In the case of your brother, he doesn't have to pay the money into your account but just to make your case even more stronger(fund related) let him also transfer the fund to you.
NB: You brother and the company should write a letter of support stating they are sponsoring you and give some reasons why they are doing so. Also they should state they have paid your tuition fee or transfer the said funds to you(whichever route they decide to take) with dates. That still doesn't stop them from also submitting their respective SOA.
2. Your work ID, payslip (or any proof to show you receive salary from the said company), transcript (if you have access to it, but if you don't then explain how your Bsc and intended course are related), employment letter and anything that you feel will help your app

Whether i pity them or not, they will still face their ban, who my pity help? That's what I meant.. Clarifying for Tigers in the house... I'm yt to see anyone that has owned up it was his slip because i no for an agent to manipulate a bank statement, there MUST be financial insufficiency lurking in the corner and but our normal naija shortcut won't let us be... We want change but the change must start from each of us, always do the right thing and corruption will disappear and we won't need to collect rejection up and down from any country, we will stay and love our country because those that developed theirs are also created by the same God....way out of line but I had to drop this because this fraudulent incidents should end already, it's so stale, God help us all.
You are on point. No applicant will come up here and claim responsibility, rather they will shift the blame on the agent who to the best of my knowledge isn't on this thread to defend himself. Even if they try to claim they weren't aware, what do they expect from an agent when they pay him around 500k or more but have no money to cover their tuition and living expenses, the said 500k is mostly for the agent to help get SOA, not just for application fee. So whoever is involved should at least man-up to their responsibility and stop shifting blame. My only concern here is the bad name they keep giving to Nigeria and also making things even more difficult (than it already is) for genuine applicants applying from Nigeria

Subsection 11(1) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act provides that a foreign national must, before entering Canada, apply to an officer for a visa or any other document required by the Regulations. The visa or document shall be issued if, following an examination, the officer is satisfied that the foreign national is not inadmissible and meets the requirements of this Act.

I have concerns that you have not fulfilled the requirement put upon you by section 16(1) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act, which states:

16(1) A person who makes an application must answer truthfully all questions put to them for the purpose of the examination and must produce a visa and all relevant evidence and documents that the officer reasonably requires.

In the current application package, you submitted a bank statement purportedly issued by Zenith Bank that has been determined to be fraudulent

Please note that if it is found that you have engaged in misrepresentation in submitting your application, you may be found to be inadmissible under section 40(1)(a) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act. A finding of such inadmissibility would render you inadmissible to Canada for a period of five years according to section 40(2)(a):

40(1) A permanent resident or a foreign national is inadmissible for misrepresentation (a) for directly or indirectly misrepresenting or withholding material facts relating to a relevant matter that induces or could induce an error in the administration of this Act

40(2) The following provisions govern subsection (1): (a) the permanent resident or the foreign national continues to be inadmissible for misrepresentation for a period of five years following, in the case of a determination outside Canada, a final determination of inadmissibility under subsection (1) or, in the case of determination in Canada, the date the removal order is enforced.

I would like to give you an opportunity to respond to this information. I will afford you fifteen (15) days from the date of this letter to make any representations in this regard. Please use the address noted on this letter for all correspondence, and clearly indicate your file number. If you do not respond to this request within the time outlined above, your application will be assessed based on the information available, which will likely result in a refusal.

Thank you for the interest you have shown in Canada.

Please experts in the house, advice me on what to do. Im confused seeing this email..... My fear now is hope JAILING is not applicable Sha
Is the statement of account fake or cooked? If yes, then don't bother replying CIC(just wait and face the ban). If truly you use fake SOA then that's very wrong as things like this makes it even harder for genuine people to get their TRV

Hello all, is there anybody who booked medical for tomorrow and won’t be needing it ASAP, pls can we switch?
Just go to the clinic as early as possible then plead with them if the can attend to you. Better to try than be waiting for who to exchange his/her slot with you.
I want to believe CIC asked you to go for medical, right?
