cjn can be remove according to the constitution through njc,
but njc can not involve in a crime commited outside the court.
if cjn kill you, which is a murder case, should njc led by himself entertain your murder case,?
is he not suppose to make himself available from trial court to appeal court before supreme court, and if he get to supreme court, cjn will step aside from your murder case.
cct is like trial mandated by constitution to entertain all public officer case of asset declaration.
the constitution did not tell us if njc should investigate your murder case or to be verifying asset of public Officers.
pls let us be objective and remove sentiment.
Did the CJN kill? The rule says misconduct. Non-declaration of Asset comes within the purview. Any misconduct by an erring Judge is first tried by the NJC. the NJC isn't there for nothing.

Besides, the Constitutional right to presumption of innocence still enures in his favour. You and Buhari already have found him guilty.

Who even checks Buhari? En Ministers don declare assets? Where en son see 50M take buy bike? Adeosun did not resign till months after Nigerians had wailed, so why cry the CJN to resign immediately. Remove the log from your eyes first.

you think buhari was not advise by a learned SAN before this decision?

is njc a court?
this is the first time a cjn will be remove,
and is unconstitutional for cjn to be a judge in his own case,
the standard Rule across the globe, is that,
for you not to be a judge in your own case, you step aside.
You guys are clowns. Why hasn't the SAN(s) that advised him come out to bare their mind on the issue. CJN's removal is constitutionally laid out. If you feel he is a judge in his own case, amend the constitution. NJC's role is embedded in our ground norm, or was it pulled from your anus?

Buhari acted on court decision to suspend him. Besides why did the cjn ignore the procedure when he was committing the offence. Even when he has admitted committing the offence which is the bottom line of the matter, he refused to step aside, that's abusing every procedure. And you people are here ignoring the fact of the matter, making case for him with procedure as your reason. Tomorrow you will still cry that the country is not progressing.
Kill the sentiments. You and Buhari already found My Lord guilty, what happens to the Constitutional presumption of innocence until proven and found guilty by court, regardless of admission. You lots who are non-lawyers talk more than you know. Why do you think Osibanjo and Senior lawyers in Buhari's team are maintaining silent? Silence now is golden. There isn't anything to defend?

Around the world, people commit crime, assume the CJ committed a crime, isn't there a procedure for his removal? Why did the constitution provide for a procedure in removing an "erring" Judge?

Besides who made Buhari the Lord and Leader of the legislature and Judiciary? Where then is the principle of power seperation? If trying to support an action makes one sound daft, it's better to maintain silence like Osibanjo and Keyamo.

did buhari pocket the judiciary like before? NO
in case of sanusi, it was sanusi that said money was missing, and he was remove,
but in onnogen case, onnogen is not accusing buhari for stealing, but is buhari that is telling onnogen of breaching the constitution for failing to declare his asset.
in saner clime, onnogen should have honourably resign,
this cant happen in advance country.
after admitting of taking bribe from pdp.
I want to believe you are literate enough to understand the separation of power principle. The law does not provide for any disciplinary measure against the Judiciary by the Executive. The NJC is charged with that function. The President cannot play a supervisory role on the legislature or Judiciary, they have equal powers, only that the Executive embodies the State. Buhari therefore has no business meddling in Judiciary's affairs.
Whether Onnoghen chose to resign or not isn't a constitutional issue, he is not bound to after all Osibanjo was fingered in a corruption case, but did not resign. What is of constitutional concern is, "is there a procedure for removing the CJ if there is a case of misconduct against him? Was that procedure observed? Take it from there.

America should just mind themselves and stop unecessary interance in affairs of other nations, in the name of promoting democracy. they were not concerned that such a person as cjn abused his office and the constitution he is a custodian of. They were not concerned that such a person having admitted doing the wrong still refused to resign and sit tight to adjudicate over his matter. If it's in their country will the person last up to 24 hours in the office. Abeg make them pack well.
No they are not. Why? A procedure has been layed out by the Constitution in dealing with misconduct of judicial officers. Have you exhausted the procedures?

The decision wasn't taking solely by the president he did so base on a court suggestion.
Is the CCT senior to the Court of Appeal that asked Buhari to stay action? Can you count the number of Courts whose orders Buhari has flouted, ECOWAS court inclusive? How come Buhari obeys the orders of a court under trial for criminal charges while asking My Lord, the Hon. CJ to resign on ground of Asset Declaration or are you unaware of the fact that the CCT president is facing charges?

what I see is the executive arm ain't going back on this decision.
Is the Executive expected to take a decision on the Judiciary? Is the education system so dysfunctional that the principles of power desperation is no longer taught?

Buhari can't make a binding decision on the Judiciary talk more of going back on one.
PoliticsRe: US Embassy Reacts To The Suspension And Replacement Of Chief Justice Of Nigeria by mcquin(m): 3:22pm On Jan 26, 2019
He that the gods want to kill...

Buhari has shown so much desperation in recent past as was not shown in the build up to 2019. This underscores the fact that he is no longer as popular as he was pre-2019. He's lost so much good will.

Jonathan was desperate and had to remove outspoken Sanusi. Today, it's Buhari. Removing Onnoghen shows he's desperate.

No one should therefore come online to say Buhari enjoys popularity. If he's popular, he shouldn't use state resources to intimidate Nigerians, his works should speak for him.

Before he talk Jonathan, I once hated Jonathan too, we called d for change, Buhari should show us change, not repeat Jonathan's mistakes and say Jonathan did same or worse.

I just want to see the disappointment in the face of Buhari's supporters who are members of the Bar.

Buhari is making himself look really desperate. Those comparing Onnoghen's sack to that of Malami should recall Jonathan was desperate and he since lost. If Buhari performed, he shouldn't have been this desperate, his works will speak naturally.

Well it is what it is.

I have no idea wether Awo told Ijukwu his father was a farmer. This idiot from the mud enclave where the sun will never rise need their brain checked I swear.
My brother there's no need throwing tribal slurs around. Check the records first to see if I'm one that engages in such. I like my conversation decent. I'm a lawyer and ought to be appalled by Osibanjo's conduct. Every lawyer is.

I'm not even in support of Biafra. Please engage me in a neat civil conversation when you want to discuss.

Well,l am posting from the "History of Voting patterns" in the North -

- Buhari has always got their Block Votes.
- The North Central (Benue, Zamfara, Taraba, Plateus axis) has always played into the hands of the Deeper North
- Worst still, the North (Buhari or Atiku) still see themselves as one, bith are Fulani Herdsmen.
Even the most ardent of APC followers around here have admitted that APC will likely lose states like Benue because of the killings there. Do you think mother of kidnapped girl Leah will vote again for Buhari? You can google video of angry youths in Benue referring to APC as "Miyetti Allah Party" during Orton's decamping exercise.

Smell the cookies my brother. Times have changed. The influence of social media on our political landscape since 2015 has been tremendous.

In a credible, free and fair election which I don't expect from Buhari, he'll lose even the South West. You yourself no like am, but for other reasons you may not mention.

Let us put the Candidates side-by-side.

Buhari Vs. Atiku

Aside the fact that l detest Buhari's support and shelter for the Fulani terrorist Herdsmen (for which he wont get my vote), Atiku on the other hand is a very prominent looter.
Atiku has looted everywhere he stepped-in.
From Customs, to when he was Vice President, to his comany INTELS defrauding the Fed. Govt
Atiku is also a wanted Fugitive, even that flip-flopping OBJ said and l quote "If l support Atiku, even God will not forgive me"!

So, Buhari will floor Atiku, man-for-man, HANDS DOWN.

Now, let us look at the running mates:

Peter Obi Vs. Prof. Yemi Osinbajo.

This one needs no long story. You cant even compare the two.
Everyone knows that it was Osinbajo who is the brain behind this Buhari administration (just like Idiagbon was the brain behind the Buhari/idiagbon regime in 1983).

Peter Obi is an unknown entity, unlike Osinbajo who has proved himself over and over again. he ws the one that brought calm to the Niger Delta.
What has Peter Obi ever done, nationally?

So, on that account too, Osinbajo wins by a very wide margin.

Finally, what the South West has in this Govt is the V.P position.
Which Yoruba person will ditch Osinbajo and vote for Atiku, thereby denying the Yorubas, the only position of note, they have in this Govt?
its never going to happen.
Atiku should just forget he will get any vote from the South West.

Since he does not consider anyoen inthe South West qualified enough to be his running mate, he mustalso not consider getting any support from the South West.

If he likes, let him be sleeping in OBJ's chicken barn or offer Dollars to all the traditional rulers in the SW, the same way Jonathan did in 2015...... Atiku/Peter Obi combo wont get ANY SW vote.
That is certain right now.

The S.E vote cannot put Atiku in Aso Rock (jsut like it did not help Jonathan in 2015), without the S.W votes, which he has just lost with his brainless decision of not choosing his running mate from the S.W.

This 2019 Presidential election is finished and concluded:
Atiku has sealed his own coffin and handed Buhari the Presidency again, in 2019.
It is sad but it is the reality we have to contend with.
]
I disagree. Have you contemplated the NC and NE in your permutation? Indicators from last Osun polls show APC may not have a last laugh in that area.

In all insecurity and hunger in Nigeria today knows no tribe or region .

Atiku has been chasing power for years and the igbos think he will weaken his presidency with restructuring and render himself powerless at the center with restructuringhuh Right now they are more Nigerian than other patriotic Nigerians all because of VP and restructuring.
