Battery is about 6months old. I removed the battery reader and fixed the second battery reader to it and that one gave 100% and 13.1v. Presently TV and inverter are working now. When I fixed the battery reader to the old 100ah battery it read same 0% and 0.2v.

But what could have caused the anomalous reading.

It'll pay if you can get a portable clamp meter so you can successfully measure what's going on in your system. I'll recommend Uni-t clamp meters.

No one can legally force hoteliers to install cctv, but if I have one I will install it to forestall spending so much in police. All you have to do is show police the footage and continue your business. Also, if criminals know you have one, they won't try to murder anyone in your hotel. The cost of the cctv will be paid if you do not have to shut down your business to enable our ineffective police to carry out "investigation" which will end with the owner coughing out large sums of money and losing money in the period the hotel will be shut down.

There are cheap cctv that 60k can get one. You can always power these cctvs with inverter. That way you have something for the police in the event of a crime. If you cannot afford these, you are better off not running such business.

That will be better than a 12v system considering you plan on acquiring more panels since there is the need to add a refrigerator to the mix.

Sorry for being banned. It happens.
My inverter is indeed 12v so I cant connect in series to avoid ending with 24v connection. My inverter capacity is 900v so it can't carry the fridge hence my quest for a new one.
If I ignore the "follow come" cc, then I can buy the 1.5kva (which is same 12v) connect to mppt cc to power my fridge and other appliances. I will buy one more 200ah battery and 4 more panels.
Then remove two mismatched panels, take this present inverter and pwm cc and mismatched panels and install for my mother. Two panels and 100ah battery is okay for my mum. She hardly watches TV, but needs power for light and phone charging

I'll recommend you get a 24v inverter system so you can push above 800w panel if you get your hands on a 60A MPPT Solar Charge Controller. 12v system heavily restricts you in the case of running any load greater than 100w. I always suggest you use a 12v system for extremely light loads especially bulbs and phone charging. To enable you run more solar panels you've got to think about getting off the 12v system.

If I am correct, my present panels at 8a×4=32a in parallel has exceeds the capacity of the 50a pwm cc in it. And I still want to get 4 more panels. I am expecting a 60a mppt powermr cc. I know that will work with my present inverter but I am concerned about my fridge(inverter capacity can't carry fridge) Transformer in our area has been down for months now so fridge is redundant now.

Question is will the new inverter still need the mppt cc you talked about as it already has its own being hybrid? Thanks

You can use an external charge controller on a hybrid inverter. All you have to do is to ignore connecting the PV wires to the inverter's PV slot but rather connect it to the external charge controller's slot. I still don't understand why you should connect the 4 panels in parallel, are you running a 12v system while using a PWM charge controller? If your inverter's capacity is up to 1.5kva, it can handle most fridge in the market that is 200w or less. I was banned by the anti-spam bot yesterday in this section for reasons best known to it. I'm back.

Because its 24v, I am getting two 200ah batteries for a start and upgrade to 4 by year-end by God's grace.

I checked on the specs of the said inverter. I noticed it has a 50A PWM solar charge controller. I can only advice you try to match the solar panel's PV voltage to the battery voltage which for example about 17Vdc at max power for 12V systems or about 28Vdc for 24V systems.

You can always get another four 150w panels to increase capacity to 1200w. But left for me, I'll rather get an MPPT controller and connect all four arrays in series. Goodluck.

my setup is 3oowatts×3, 2oa cc and 18ah×2 deep cycle battery, b4 installation at around 5 in d evening each panel gave us 34v or 35v but my problem is even at noon the voltage is not usually more than 3o.ov when the battery are full. please explaination for this?..

What do you mean by this "and when battery cable is removed from cc"? Why do you have to do this?

It affects the running of motors such as in fans, blenders, electric motors, etc. Some TV also behaves erratically by showing flickers. One of the main advantage of the modified system is that it is CHEAP and with the rugged economy of Nigeria, THAT is an awesome selling point. So if you ain't planning to run sensitive equipment on it, you are good to go. cool

Installation cost is dependent on installer.

There are a lot of batteries with NXT label, but if it is Exide NXT, I'll say the battery is heavier than other batteries of same capacity. I guess they used a thicker plate which is often an indication of a better quality. I have seen one kicking strong after three years of 24/7 use.

I'll rate Gacia above Mercury. This is purely based on the performance of the two that I witnessed, though under different conditions. So, it may just be a biased opinion. But the truth is, I wouldn't buy a Mercury battery.

It depends on the application and type of inverter and battery configuration
But speaking generally, a lower voltage setup like 12v is usually for light load and small system since all you may require may just be a single 12v battery. Whereas 24v system requires a minimum of two batteries. So both are ok dependent on what you want to achieve.
