Fairly used and fully functional Famicare 1500VA 12v hybrid inverter up for grabs...I need to sell it off cos am considering an upgrade...Price very attractive.
In my humble opinion, I'll suggest you add the attractive price here as it'll surely help some readers make a decision.

This battery level signal at back of my inverter, how is it used? Do i have a meter connected to it or what?
And the fan is no longer working. Can i diy replace it?
If you use flooded cell and have the sensor cable connected, it'll alert you when to top up distilled water.

Thanks alot...

For the spd, have seen online that is connected like a breaker but no off and on switch.. does it still need to be Connected to ground.
You may really need to get the services of a professional to get this properly done. Anyways, a surge requires a good earth to work. Take a look at this YouTube video to see how it works.

This is really sad! I became sadder when I realized nothing would be done about this case (they will silence the case) - which means those behind the murder of these policemen wouldn't be fished out and made to face the law. NIGERIA IS GONE!
That's the way the cookie crumbles in Nigeria. Highly connected criminals always walk free, the wannabe criminals are usually the scapegoats. Sadly, the fallen officers are just pawns in the game of chess.

Good day everyone
Wanna ask some few questions...

How can I utilize this component correctly on a solar system

1. Mcb>> circuit breaker (do i need a circuit breaker when installing and if yes! How do i calculate for the correct rating and the right position to place it)

2. Spd>> Surge protector device ( How can i surge my device, the right way to do it and what determines the rating)

3. Fuse>> when a mcb is already integrated in a system can fuse still be used or the mcb act as a fuse...

4. Is it compulsory to use a battery balancer

5. When connecting a battery in parallel, what's the appropriate number that is idea to connect (i heard 3 column)

I'm asking before i burn my house or spoil the devices.
I'll try to answer this as briefly as possible.

1: The circuit breaker size is dependent on what you are protecting. Eg use 125 percent of the continuous load (maximum current expected to last for three hours or more). For instance, if your maximum load current drawn is 10a, 125% of it is 12.5A, then in that application, you can use a 16A breaker.

2. Your surge rating is usually rated in kilo amps (kA). Because most SPDs on the market use a metal-oxide varistor (MOV), if a 10kA SPD experiences a 10kA surge, it means it'll use 100% of its capacity and will usually display red on the display window which means it is due for replacement. In the market, the higher the kA value of SPD, the higher the cost. So you can just go with either a 20kA capacity or 40kA. Ensure you have a good earth before installing an SPD.

3. You can still add a fuse if you can afford one. The more the protective device, the better your system. Just ensure it is rated accordingly so you don't overfuse (in which case the fuse won't melt on fault current) or under size(in which case the fuse constantly melts even when carrying the normal current).

4. It is not compulsory to use a battery balancer, but good ones which is adequately installed have proven to elongate battery lifespan. If you want to put one, ensure you do at the start of the installation and the battery is of the same make and age.

5. In theory, you can connect an infinite number of batteries in parallel. In practical, the more the number of batteries connected in parallel, the bigger the cross section of cables used to handle the higher amperage involved. So you can safely have more than three parallel as long as you obey the rule of the paralleling batteries and ensure the right size of cable is in use.

If you are in doubt, always check in with professionals around your area as it is never good to dabble in things of this nature which may be dangerous if not properly done.

Experts in the house are free to weigh in. I'm not an expert grin

One fact you all should be aware of is this
"The soldiers in that video might be innocent"
Why? THEY ONLY EXECUTED AN ORDER FROM A SUPERIOR, who might have told them that the policemen were kidnappers and they should not let them escape.

The soldiers acted mercilessly with the thinking that they were dealing with kidnappers ( which let's face it we would praise them for if they were really kidnappers).

THE REAL CULPRIT HERE IS THE SUPERIOR WHO GAVE THE ORDER.
Many people will not see it this way, in the army you are trained to obey the command of your superior irrespective of what you may personally think of it. The soldiers simply obeyed the oga's instruction to stop the police by any means necessary. Sadly, I see no justice for the slain officers. Oga go soon talk to oga and that will be the end of it. That is what happens everyday in Nigeria where corruption and crime reign supreme.

Men. That is cool just #500 for waybill. How long is the delivery time? Can one just order from any vendor on the platform or it has to be via a third party.
The N500 is not the cost of the waybill. It is the charge you pay at the post office, most of the time, to collect your item you bought from abroad. Sometimes you may be lucky to get the item with free shipping, other times you may have to pay for the shipping. It is dependent on the seller and the item you are buying. But at the end of the day, you usually end up with a better deal than what is obtainable at the local shop near you.

Also, the choice on whether to use a third party shipper or vendor or to buy directly from the sellers is totally dependent on you the buyer. Delivery time ranges between 8 days to up to 60 days depending on the shipping method used. Shipping with FedEx or DHL or UPS comes in under a week but at a higher cost compared to the free shipping. I once got a package delivered under 4 days, though it was a big package (about 1.7kg) shipped via DHL @$20 cost. Free shipping can land in Nigeria between 10 to 21 days. The thing is to just give it a month. I hope this helps.

The above is the truth.
I sold my car on Jiji in one day when I paid for boost anyway. Never tried the free version though.
Price was normal.

Pictures super clear.

The thing is, I don't trust the jiji peeps as it appeared that only boosted ads gets seen. That's not really a good business model.

A friend experienced something similar to this. A dude called, he gave the address to pick up product. Caller never made it to the place. Next is a call from jiji to upgrade
I guess the only people that stand a chance to sell are only those that paid for the ads. These scammy antics will be their downfall.

Bros so I have done the setup; could not get a bus bar for now so I used the DC breaker as the common connection point for both the SPD and PV. However I have noticed that it seem the battery consumption has increased, does the SPD and DC breakers consume power on their own?

Update nevermind the source of drain identified - it's self inflicted. grin

Secondly, I have moved my stuff to standalone, I was happy to see over 1kw yday at relatively high sunlight. However when it rained and after sunlight came back I lost generation, noting was coming in, I noticed water was still on the panels could that be the reason why I was not generating anything?
Water on the panel can not totally stop generation of power. I'm afraid the standalone system being that close to the building may experience some shadows from it. Check if your connection is ok. I'd suggest you give the solar panels some slight tilt, so that water can run off the panels when it rains. Even if it's 5 degree tilt from the horizontal.

hi,
basically you actually need to know the overall head of water your pump is required to pull and pump water to. this means depth of borehole, lateral gradient, and height of overhead tank.

popular brands are the Lorentz, and grundfos, and the other Indian and Chinese brands
the Lorentz comes with its own controller (with inbuilt MPPT), the grundfos comes with 2 variants, the CU101 (ordinary on/off switch) & the CU200 that has added features for float switch and generator connections. these controllers usually come as one package, but most retailers sell them separately, so be careful.

when ordering the generic brands, it is best to ask for the data sheets to determine whether it suits your water supply requirements. some people self the controller from 650k and sell the CU200 for 250k. try Google and jiji, before venturing to go to Alaba. I will search for the contact of Auxwell, I think, the last reps of grundfos I know.
some guy in Alaba offered me a pump with 100m head for 130k. it all depends. if you have the funds, go for grundfos or lorentz, (which is more expensive)

I will assume the borehole or water source is ready.if a borehole with standard diameter (6"wink, you will need the pump, 4core flex (some use 2.5mm, but 4mm is better), strain relief PVC cable, tiger pipes (1,1/4"- 1,1/5" based on outlet of pump) or ordinary PVC pipe of same size. if using tiger pipes, they have screw threads, ordinary pipes need to be glued with connectors using PVC gum. then you will need cable ties to hold the electrical cable and strain relief cable to the pipe of your choice.

you will need some kind of rack or pole mount to place your panels, depending on location/size of storage tanks. most steel tanks of large capacity have the solar panels mounted on racks welded atop the tank. if you have space, place panels on pole mounted rack away from trees or tall buildings. you connect wires from panels to controller, and connect wires from pump to controller. the controller is usually placed in a waterproof enclosure under the panel rack, but you could place in anywhere else.

your panels are usually wired in series to achieve minimum startup voltage. some Chinese brands I have seen use a 2s2p config of 300w panels, and it pumps water okay. for pumps like grundfos just check Voc of panel you want and calculate how many you need in series to achieve operating voltage of the pump. same goes for Lorentz.

cheers
This is some premium Intel. Thank you for your service. cool

Here is what I was told today at a phone vendor's place. As I inquired of a particular Nokia make, that hasn't been lunched in Nigeria. Nokia X71 (8.1 plus). "It was obvious the phone can only be ordered online from overseas" I told the vendor. Then she repied as follows:

Phone brands "Nokia" ordered from overseas via Jumia is without warranty. Secondly, It is not a Nigeria specification. Hence, There might be a challenge if there are need for repair. As the exact parts may not be readily available at the Nigeria Nokia Care Centre. Except the person send it back to the country it was ordered from whenever there is a need for repair.
Is the above claims true?
I was almost paying for the one she offered as against my desired spec.

1. What are the differences between global version & the chanise version in phones?

2. Does version have anything to do with the phone's quality?

3. I noticed a wide price gap at a Nokia brand outlet today as against the Jumia online price. Though, that of Jumia is an order from overseas. Does this have anything to do with quantity?

Please how true are the above submissions. I've been doing a little research on what brand & make of phone to purchase within a budget of 100k to 150k. Though, I was kind of considering Nokia & Huawei phones.

Mods you can help to escalate it. Really need to get clarifications.
I bought a Xiaomi Note 3 special edition in 2016. I used phone without issues till December 2018 when it had charging problem. I tried to repair it in Nigeria but it requires a change of the charging port board and part was unavailable. I contacted the store I bought the phone from in China, they told me to send it to them. I did. They repaired the phone @ the cost of $10 grin

I'm rocking the phone as we speak. Buy the phone you want, life is too short to be worried about things of that nature.

Imagine if the situation is reversed and the seller is a Nigerian. grin

That strict range of different VoCs for different voltage systems put some question mark on the efficiency. It may raise suspicion that the efficiency at all VoCs viz-a-viz the voltage system may not have a linear relationship in efficiency. Energy may likely be wasted if one goes a higher VoC that that recommended for a particular voltage system. If not for that downside and maybe a few more that may be present, these guys would have been a good value for money. They've even come up with another product with in-built WiFi for remote monitoring.

The PowMr appears to have good reviews on Amazon though.
I don't think Powr is original neither is it fake. These guys just APPROACH manufacturers who makes controllers to them. They just slap their name on it. So it's just some little difference between the two. So buy whichever one you fancy, probably, the cheaper of the two.

You made a lot of sense. The police do not need arms to present a letter. They do not need to go all out guerrilla tactics on the invitation. This smirks of intimidation by the police who must've been well paid by someone in the pastor's camp. For those saying Timi is talking so much, he should. Unless a case of mistaken identity, it is very hard for cultists to kill non cultists. You can get roughened up, beaten, threatened but never killed unless you are a cultist. But as usual, some of the people reading this and seeing this will still engage in cultism and still join. Sadly, we will continue to read such stories as most never seem to learn from history.

Please I want to ask if I can connect 6 units of 200A battery to a 1.5Kva inverter in order to increase the back up time. If yes how do I connect it.
I believe by 200A battery you meant 200AH battery. To answer the question, yes you can connect it. But the question is can the 1.5kva sufficiently charge the six batteries? Also, what is the dc voltage of the inverter? Is it 12v or 24VDC? This will determine how you go about connecting the batteries.
