It's good to open dispute but you should all be careful not to abuse it! Also, not all disputes are won.

You can always ask seller to extend buyer's protection time for you as package is still in transit.

Never lost a dispute. I'm surprised when I see people say they do. I guess I'm just lucky or something.

Ok

Other governors yet to comply what is their excuse?

Even if he doesn't know, it's a prank. Haba!

He needs to sue them for this. This is infringement of image right now. This is what all other impersonators are being jailed for and this guy did it no backlash. Oga o

Sued? Over a prank video? SMFH

Hello house.

Has anyone here used Ritar VRLA batteries?

What's their performance like compared to Indian brands (Genus, Sukam) ?

They are good, I'll advise you go for the 200AH. There's one that was installed in 2014 that is still kicking àss till date.

SirNeroDee:
I know sha.. But the funny thing I don't understand is why I jus got half refund.. Is it because I waited longer than 60 days?

I've never gotten anything less than full refund in all my six years of dealing with AliExpress.

WTF?!!!! What's the alert for? Was the general killed in Nigeria or is the man in Aso Rock Donald Trump?

I don't get this news.

earthrealm:
you usually get paid for the power you injected.

Not in Naija grid

Our grid is not that smart

Inileo:
Please is anyone having issues with China posts??its been on accepted by airline for a long time

Shipping is generally slow for most people this period. Chill, you'll get your money back if you don't receive item after 60 days. It is in the best interest of the seller that you get your goods in time as they stand to lose if you get refunded.

IMAliyu:
How is the sound quality and battery?

If you are looking for a good quality earbud with good bass and strong battery, you may like to check out Syllable S101 Bluetooth earbud currently selling for $34.14

I will like someone to tell me best way to import a laptop.

Dhl can fail so not an option for me.

Any other way will be appreciated. I stay in kaduna

Use third party shippers. Look for those that had stayed long in the business with good customer feedback. Check the tech market for them.

SirNeroDee:
But the seller extended the protection period.. Will that reduce the value of the refund I was meant to get?

It doesn't matter if they extended it. Once it's 60 days you deserve the right to seek for refund.

bigrovar:
Hi guys. I just carried out the first major upgrade of my offgrid solar setup after decommissioning the previous install back in December. The new upgrade was long in planning and the idea was to incorporate things I learned from the first install. Unlike the previous install where I had control over many aspect of the system including roof location and battery install location. This new one I had to make do with what is available, The only roof space available for me was the north side of a building adjoining to mine since my roof could not support the installation of 9 335w solar panel in series.

Basic System Specification Include:

9 x 335w Yingli Poly Solar Panels = 3015w
Axpert MKS 3KVA / 2.4Kw Inverter (iPowerplus label)
Victron Smart MPPT 100A / 150v Solar Charge Controller
4 x Exide TI1750 200AH Flooded Battery

Accessory Include:
Victron Battery Monitor BMV 700
Victron Battery Voltage and Temperature Sensor
Raspberry Pi 3B (For remote Monitoring Dashboard)

Panel Configuration
The panels were installed in a 3 3 3 setup, 3 panels in series and the output of each series connection are then paralleled into a home made combiner box. Each positive side of the 3 series array were each terminated to a DC breakers installed in a breaker box to allow for array separation and then from breaker box to home made combiner box.

Inverter and CC configuration

I installed a positive and Negative busbar. All Positive wire from the inverter and cc terminated to a positive bus bar each running through a 125A DC circuit breaker. The Negative from the inverter also terminates to the battery bus bar via the current shunt for the victron battery monitor.

Battery Setup:
The batteries are connected in series parallel. 2 pairs of batteries in series and their output combined together in parallel. The parallel setup was configured so that each battery had a + and - wiring of equal length terminated to the same positive and negative busbar where the inverter was installed

Cabling:
For cabling, I used 6mm for the PV to the combiner box
From the combiner box to the cc is a 10mm cable (distance is less than 2 meters)
cc and inverter to battery bus bar is a 25mm cable
bus bar to the batteries is a 35mm cable
1 foot 50mm cable was used for the series connection

I installed a Victron Battery sensor for voltage and battery temperature sensor. It is installed on one of the batteries in the bank and connected to the battery terminal point to give out the battery voltage at terminal to the charge controller and also sends the battery temperature for temperature compensated charging.

Monitoring
A rasbberry Pi 3 is installed. It uses the Victron VE direct to usb cable to quarry information from the charge controller and the battery monitor bmv 700, it also uses the USB B to USB A cable supplied with the Axpert MKS 3KVA inverter to query it for data. The Pi is connected to my home wireless network and sends all the data gathered (via the MQQT protocol) to my custom emoncms install on a virtual private server someone in the cloud. The result is the dashboard which displays in real time the system performance http://energy.bobby.com.ng/dashboard/view?id=14
(The energy log is abit off, I generated 9kwh yesterday but it is reading 18kwh so it needs a little tweaking).

In all the system is a mid sized setup to power a moderate load of about 450w (day time load) and 250w - 90w load at night. From the battery monitoring usually pull about 90AH - 100AH from the battery bank at night which is about 25-30% dod. Fridge and freezer go off by 6pm and comes on by 9am

Congratulations on your new setup. This must've cost a lot. I like that you are rocking the flooded cell batteries, which it's been a while I've seen anyone use.

Lol. Nigerians and drama.

SirNeroDee:
It's still fast na.. Me dahz been waiting more than 70 days for phone case nko?
Which shipping method did the person use?

Don't wait more than 60 days, always open dispute on the 60th day. They'll most likely honor their 60 day money back guarantee in the case of failure to deliver goods.

Guest911:
The same bastard just tried to scam me right now
His name is
Gabriel Aji
Ecobank 8105349418

His name could be ANYTHING. I think everyone should be wary of any Eco Bank Account number that looks like a phone number with a missing 0. The main deal is the phone number that is already confirmed to be that of a remorseless, unrepentant, and diehard scam artiste. I think Eco Bank is somehow aiding these criminals that made the fraudsters tend to open this type of account with them which I think is not linked to any BVN.

Thank you for reporting the scam, your report is important to all of us.

Shipment is generally slow for most of the items ordered between November and December. A friend just picked one of the 17 items he bought on 11/11 (11th November) deals yesterday.

I thought a pool of that size should have a life guard

SolnergyPower:
I think we're saying the same thing as I opined in "a".

Of course, just buttressing on same line of thought.

SolnergyPower:
There is a key information you didn't give and that's, have you used the generator with the inverter before?

I'll be giving advise based on the premise that you've used the generator with the inverter before.

a. Check the frequency of the generator. Most inverters are frequency sensitive. The frequency tolerance of most inverters is in the neighborhood of 50Hz (±2Hz).

b. Check the generator voltage. If the voltage is way too high, you may need to put ON other appliances to step the voltage down before the inverter can kick in. This usually happens when the generator is going bad.

c. If your inverter has selectable charge current, select about 10A and see if the inverter can start charging.

Some generator frequency can go as high as 110Hz, at that rate most inverters will no longer be able to charge the batteries. Even premium inverter like Schneider's Connext SW can only manage between 44Hz to 70Hz.

Scammers are actively following this thread. If an unknown person approaches you for a deal, only deal if they agree on using an escrow. Whatever the story they tell you, just ignore it. Even if they did a video call showing product, it's still not a guarantee. I wish a big cooperate financial entity will look into creating an escrow. Only a fool will try to scam on AliExpress. But still yet a fool once tried that on AliExpress five years ago.

The watch was selling around $50 then, but when I saw it around $18, I just couldn't resist and I ordered with confidence knowing that escrow got my back

Order was closed the next day and my money refunded.

TomorrowToday:
Both items are showing sent abroad....prolly Lagos but the shipping address I used is for Enugu. Can you make further meaning out of the attached screenshot pls?

Lagos is the next destination your goods is heading. After it arrives Lagos, the next port of call is Enugu. You'll have to exercise patience as shipping during Christmas is always slow due to high number of packages and people that is on transit.

tinnyailes:
Chai how long does it take China post to despatch to overseas my package has been roaming China for 18 days now

Your package has a 60-day money back warranty. I wouldn't bother if I'm you. I'll rather wait till the 60 days are over then file a dispute to get my money back. If you hate such delays, next time use either FedEx, DHL or TNT. But you know that premium services comes at a price.

TomorrowToday:
Pls how do I know when my item is available for pick-up at the post office?

I have about 2 items am to receive this December. I have gone to the post office though I did not get any calls but they said the items are not there.

The sellers have extended the delivery confirmation time.

It's simple, track your mail. Get the tracking number of the item you purchased and head over to the tracking websites. You can either check the NIPOST tracking site at http://ips.nipost.gov.ng/ipswebtracking/ or you can track using the international tracking website like https://m.17track.net/en or https://track24.net/

Once any of them confirms that the goods are in your local post office, it is now time to visit the post office.

KayCee92:
Dude said he doesn't know what excrow is.

If he doesn't know what escrow means, what happens to him googling it?

You know what to do don't you? Back out of the deal.

TheGiftedOne:
I and my wife boarded a bus yesterday traveling although within the state. One of the passengers bought a ten litre full of petrol and put it inside our bus. I alighted and asked my wife to so same, ollected back my fare and took another bus.
All these happened after I suggested to the passenger to wait and buy the highly inflamable product when he gets home. Mba ooo, rara... the illiterate son of the old man was just ranting that I'm the only one objecting to their life threatening agenda.

Nigerians are by far one of the most reckless people on the earth. Even when you try to do the right thing, it will be met with outright opposition.

Most of the deaths and unfortunate incidences you hear of are cases of self-destruct. So unfortunate!

Safety first...

May God console the bereaved..

Most Nigerians like playing Russian roulette with their lives. My cousin boarded a bus at around 6 PM against his better judgement. The bus left when it was getting slightly dark, he initially thought the vehicle's headlamp was just poor. Some minutes later an oncoming vehicle swerved just some seconds to impact when the driver realised that their bus was a vehicle and not a motorcycle.

My cousin then realised the danger they were in; the fool of a driver had only one functional headlamp! This revelation was halfway through their journey in the middle of nowhere, with everywhere dark. He did the right thing and alighted, but not without the other passengers begging him not to do that, that they were almost near their destination, that the "Good Lord will continue to protect them". But my guy refused, and rightly so. The idiot driver with one headlamp claimed the headlamp was just fine the other night that it must have developed issues that night which if you know most Nigerian commercial driver's maintenance culture is just a barefaced outright lie.

What's LFP pls?

The lithium iron phosphate battery or LFP battery

Please how can I send a phone from Germany to Nigeria within 3 days with little shipping fees

Use FedEx.

feflo:
I experienced the worst side of lithium ion batteries on the 5th of December 2019. It exploded and completely razed my store room.

My observations and lessons learnt will be posted on here later.

Sorry about that, just got to see this. Lithium as with all emerging technology still needs a lot more attention given to it to operate it safely. We've got lithium in our laptops and phones and none of these two are having issues with explosion after the Samsung exploding battery saga.

I guess the one that got burnt was the one you mentioned here: https://www.nairaland.com/1389975/worlds-smallest-power-inverter/62#79087256

Lithium is the future of energy storage, the technology will get safer and more rugged with time.

SaintChukz:
I guess you meant to say "HIRED", just in case those who want to help see it.

It's actually "hire".

JUO:
lol are you scared? I believe he is real but quality and after sales is another story

You are 100% right on that, but I guess seller makes up on that with the product's very competitive pricing.

It's time to take a look at your solar panels, the dust is here, again.
